Centrally located on the famous Cannery Rows… valet parking fee is around $36/ day. Street parking is available and free after 8pm till 9am. Complimentary cheese, wine and crackers are served at 4:30 till 6. Complimentary breakfast is only available through room service. Spacious room with queen bed & sitting areas with table,chairs and a daybed by the window. Thermostat doesn’t work in our room can’t adjust temperature as desired. We use the ceiling fan instead.

This place is amazing! We’re so glad we upgraded to the ocean view room—it was beautiful. I absolutely loved the convent of leaving a card for breakfast in the morning, which was delivered, and the complimentary wine during the day—it was a great experience.

We had a bay-view room, and the view was amazing. The waves were crashing right below us. I would not stay here without a bay-view room. The hotel is centrally located in Cannery Row. There is a minimal continental breakfast, but it is only served in your room (read tip). There is no dining room. There are no ice machines but they will bring it to your room (read tip). There is no parking lot, only valet (read tip). The front desk was always friendly and they did have wine and cheese hour. A pet peeve of mine with all hotels; why are the beds so high? It does not mean comfort. The room was very spacious, but needed a larger table for breakfast.

This is our second stay here. We love the fireplaces in the rooms, and the robes in the armoires are a nice touch as well. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast served in our room at the time of our choice. We were not around for the happy hour this trip, but look forward to taking advantage of it the next time we visit.

We really enjoyed this stay ! the hotel has so many amenities - we took advantage of all of them and were pleasantly surprised with some ! walkable distance to the aquarium , and any shopping or dining you may need. Their breakfast service is perfect !

Amazing location right on Cannery row over looking McAbee beach. Guest Service is great and attentive. From valet, bell to front desk, and wine hour, everyone was great. Complimentary breakfast delivered to the room and nightly wine and cheese hour are added bonuses. Fireplace in the room and great view of cannery row, can’t beat it. Love the charm of the hotel and in room robes. Will be back

The inn is an older hotel, with no real private parking in the area. The hotel offers Valet service at $30 dollars per night, which is not terrible compared to the location. Everything is acceptable being directly on cannary road. The only thing is that it’s warm, no where on the website does it mention that they have no A/C. Being an older location it would be understandable but be up front about it. I would probably stay elsewhere next time due to some hotels offering self parking at a cheaper rate. The money you save for the room compared to the rest its not worth it compared to the accessibility of the others and newer rooms.

Beautiful room, spacious and clean. Fireplace was a nice touch. Bathroom clean and good shower pressure. Nice toiletries. Wish they had liquid body wash in addition to bar soap (but that’s a personal preference). Great central location. Continental breakfast had a lot of choices and is delivered to the room. Nice pastries, fresh cut fruit was perfect. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel, now our Monterey favorite!

We had a really pleasant stay at the Spindrift Inn. We mentioned that we had just gotten married, and they sent a bottle of wine up to the room, plus got us in prior to the listed check-in time. The view over Monterey Bay we amazing, and we saw numerous otters/sea lions/distant whales during our stay. Unfortunately, the windows opened only a few inches (not at all like the pics on the website, see pic comparisons below), and were quite dirty. We actually spend a fair amount of time trying to clean the windows with Windex wipes in order to improve the view. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was sufficient. We got food from the downstairs restaurant Lalla one night and it was delicious, especially being able to eat while watching 7 otters on the water below our window! Staff was very pleasant, especially Diana at the front desk. We will stay here again.

We love coming to the Spindrift Inn. There were some issues with our room. The clock was only on 4:57 and couldn’t be fixed, the toilet would start running once in a while due to the seal not holding. The windows were very dirty and difficult to see out of them. We were also next to a room that decided to party loudly until 4 AM as we were trying to sleep. We wish you still had feather beds as the bed was uncomfortable for us. We are not used to such a firm mattress. We do still love the Inn and look forwards to coming back.

This was a very special place to stay. The staff were all super friendly. The room was nice and clean. We booked an ocean view room and it had a great view. It may seem just a tad outdated .. but I think it was charming and pretty well taken care of. I wished we had spent more time there. Also the in room breakfast was a really nice touch.

I always love staying at this hotel because of its location and view of the bay. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, they even have a fireplace. I can sit on the window seat and watch the waves all day. The only thing is that they now restrict how far you can open the windows which ruins the full view of the bay. 😢

My stay at the Spindrift was sub par. The bathroom in my room was so outdated. The bathroom most definitely needed to be updated. The deluxe room with a king bed was very small. The bed was comfortable.I had a guest arrive in the lobby and she had asked to use the restroom and was given a hard time about that request. Needless to say it would not be my first choice when staying in Monterey.

The location couldn't be more convenient. It's in the midst of several restaurants and shops, and the wonderful aquarium is nearby. Overnight parking is a bit pricey, but our only real issue was with the weak or nonexistent WiFi. The staff gave us remarkable service, our room had everything we needed (including a fireplace), and there was minimal street noise.

Where do I start... I booked this hotel room for our honeymoon. I had called ahead of our arrival to ask for an ocean facing room. Upon arrival we were told sorry, you booked through a third party. Our room facing the street was very loud at night, the bar across the street was heavy with partying people into the bar hour. The rates were high but we figured based on the photos that it was going to be a romantic and beautiful stay. Imagine our surprise when the room lacked from what the photos depicted... The room was very very small... The shower was horrible, zero water pressure. Bathroom was dated and filled with rusted fixtures in the shower. The decor was super dated. No amenities, no ice, no vending machines to even grab a water The front desk staff acted as if we were bothering them, rude and not welcoming at all. The fireplace in the lobby when not lit filled the lobby and hallways with a very off putting smell of smoke, when I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk she didn't seemed interested at all. It was so heavy in the air, I asked if she was sure something wasn't still lit. Best part of this stay... the valet boys were all darling and very helpful Worst part..$1250.00 for three nights. Super disappointed.

We paid more than we usually do for a Hotel, but it was near the water so we took it. The Hotel has no air conditioning so it was warm at night. There was a fan so we had that going. Used only a sheet as more was too much. I slept two hours then I was too warm to sleep. I went to sleep at 4:00 am and was awaken at 7:15 with construction going on. A very loud drill and hammering. We paid way too much for this room to be awoken so early. Also, the toilet would run, shut off and start again after a bit. The two chairs facing the fireplace were so hard you couldn’t sit on them. When we told the young Lady at the desk about all this, she didn’t seem to care too much. She said the workers are to start at 8:00. I said they didn’t, it was 7:15. She also added that because we booked with Hotels.com we couldn’t get our money back. We told her we didn’t care we just wanted to leave. I’m sure she didn’t care. I’ll never return to this Hotel again.

The staff is fantastic! They’re very helpful, and seem happy to help. When we asked for things like ice or extra coffee pods/sugar, they brought them to our room very quickly. The views from this room are so incredible. The hotel provides binoculars to watch the sea life. We saw so many seals! The only “negatives” I have, and they’re so minor, are just that the skylight windows desperately need dusting, and the cover to the heating grate is hanging loose. Absolutely fabulous, though!

The breakfast was always late and not very good. The front desk was not efficient and we waited more than 30 minutes for our valet parked car. The room was nice. The bathroom ok. Bathtub shower combination was fine. I prefer separate shower stall.

Absolutely LOVED the water view from our room! The continental breakfast was just right (we each had a yogurt, fresh fruit, a croissant and a hard boiled egg). You can pick from any or choose all of these items. You also have a choice of three different cereals and a beverage (ex: tea, coffee, OJ). The bathroom was large with a shower and tub option. We enjoyed cheese, crackers and a glass of wine (offered between 4:30-6:00 in the lobby). No complaints here! We loved our stay ❤️
