Sandos Finisterra All Inclusive

Pros: Staff are super friendly and helpful. Weather was gorgeous. Plenty of availability of deck chairs and towels. Three different pools, which made it easy to get away from loud music if I wanted. Waits for tables at restaurants were never more than 2-3 minutes. WiFi was fast and had very good coverage. Room was quiet, and bed was comfortable. Cons: Food was relatively bland and repetitive. Almost all non-alcoholic drink options used artificial sweetener, which made them taste pretty awful. Entertainment options were a bit meh and repetitive (daily bingo was not very interesting). Many things (elevator, faucet, hot water, urinal) broken. Pool had a lot of dead bugs in it. A lot of errors and missing orders when ordering à la carte meals, and a couple of pushy waiters who kept trying to clear plates while I was clearly still eating. Overall a serviceable stay, but not at the level of most other all-inclusives that I’ve stayed at, and quite pricey given what was offered.

The location is perfect for walking into town. The pools are nice and poolside food and drink service is really good. We arrived after a hurricane so the elevators were down which made things a little more challenging but it was understandable. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were very out dated especially the bathrooms, the food was OK so we went out to town to eat, the exterior of the facilities was AMAZING. Day one only 1 of of the 3 elevators were working and the restaurants were all on the 7th floor, day 4 the 3rd elevator went down, all the guest were very annoyed as the wait was usually 4 to 8 minutes.

The property was beautiful and very unique. We even saw a couple iguanas! The staff was very kind and accommodating. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the food except I would have liked more options for children. Also the kids club was terrible but there was enough other entertainment and swimming that it wasnt necessary. The entertainment staff is fabulous and talented. Disappointing that the beach boarding the property is not swimmable becuase then you have to walk to and pay for a water taxi to get to an accessible beach. Otherwise we really enjoyed ourselves and felt it was well worth what we paid.

The service was outstanding specially Francisco the bartender at the lobby bar as well as Omar and Raul the supervisors at the two outside restaurants by the main pool. I did not like the fact that the shows that they offered for entertainment would start rather early and end a little before 10. The only bar open after 10:00 Pm is the nightclub. It would be good if they had the lobby bar open at least until midnight. The hotel has a great location although I was a little disappointed that you cannot swim in the beach where the hotel is located. Another great suggestions is that there should be a shower closer to the beach entrance. That way if you are tanning by the beach you can get a shower since swimming in that ocean is not possible.

The adult pool with the bar was dirty. There was a bad smell. The water was murky and almost soapy. The food was horrible except for the steak we had. Chicken soup was basically just water and everything else not good either. Like no effort to make the food taste good.

Multiple pools on the property, all were incredible, with either a bar or a dining option right next to them and the beach right next to the pool areas. Food was also very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Best scenery I’ve seen on a resort and can walk right down the street to the marina and have more dining/shopping options, also a calm public beach was a few minutes away. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice resort, food was exceptional especially the cupcake cafe. Disappointing that the beach was unswimmable due to the currents but it was nice to walk along.

The room was spacious and very clean The only complaint was the quality of the food For a resort of this class and expense the food was sub par. The breakfast was consistently very good the problem was special events white night where some of the buffet dishes were very bad In the restaurants there was also a quality problem The pools were clean but many of the hot tubs did not work

staff was friendly, first night had bugs/roaches in our room water in sink and shower was dark brown almost black even after running it for over 1/2 hour. Manager changed us to different room second night, had a flood in that room water leaking from light fixture in kitchen reported maintenance said they were have plumbing issues with floor above. Food at most restaurants was sub par only Emilianos had good food.

The property is gorgeous, our room faced the marina which was awesome! The food options were mediocre but the service in all of the restaurants was pretty great. The pools were kind of gross - oily and had a lot of debris, including the VIP pool. If you want to leave the resort in an uber it is really hard - a really crazy hill/lots of walking. The stars of the show were the cat, Shadow, who lives by the pool and the events! I took at Calzone class that was fun!

Fourth time visiting Sandos and as always a great visit. Impeccably clean property and pool area. Delicious food with lots of options. Easy walk to marina and activities. Look forward to next time.

February was a great time to visit, whales were seen almost constantly from the beach. The staff was very friendly. The resort was very clean.

Just back from our weeklong stay at Sandos Finisterra. This was our first all-inclusive stay anywhere and the first time either of us have stayed at a resort like this, also first time to Cabo. From the first step in the door, the service is excellent. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the property and the ocean (Junior Suite, Ocean View). None of the rooms are super close to the water, but they all have nice views with the rooms on the upper floors seemingly having better views. Housekeeping was great. We tried each of the restaurants for dinner, only had lunch at Agave or the pizza/sushi place by the pool, and had breakfast most mornings at Don Diego. The breakfast buffet is spectacular, with everything you could want. I had coffee most mornings at Cupcake and and grabbed a donut or a croissant for a morning snack before breakfast, the croissants were delicious! All our dinners were good, nothing spectacular, but really good food options which was a pleasant surprise. The steak at Agave was great and the cheesecake was delicious. The marina is an easy walk if you want some variety. Spent some days at the pool hanging out and watching the incredible staff there hustle and work all day. Carlos, Gabriel, and Alejandro work so hard and make sure your drink's never empty while Carmen and Enrique keep everyone entertained. We loved the music and movie trivia. Overall, I definitely recommend a stay here. Sunrises on the beach are a must!

The resort was very clean, the food was great, the room was nice and the staff, they were outstanding! Extremely friendly and very helpful. Although no beach swimming, we did get to see multiple whales. That was a first for me and it was truly magical. I would for sure visit Sandos Finisterra again. Thank you for such a nice vacation! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff is awesome! Norma, Joel, Amadeus, Adi, Jorge & Alba were the best! The hallways, pool & its surroundings could’ve been cleaned a lot more. We saw so many moths & beetles.

Super clean and friendly staff.

The property is not huge, which we appreciated. There was always something going on so you were never bored. The staff is amazing and the food was the best I have had at an all inclusive. The only downside is the noise when staying in a Marina view room. The view is great, the noise from the nightly entertainment, the Marina and the nightly wedding receptions held at the hotel, made it very noisy at night.

The room was so amazing. Thanks to the Expedia VIP we had a 2 room suite. The staff is always great and so nice. Sandos is clean and helpful in every way possible

Beautiful resort and in a terrific location. Felt very safe, but accessible to the marina and town. Restaurants were very good. The whale watchers bar is hands down the most scenic spot for sunset cocktails. Our only criticism is the guest rooms with marina views are pretty dated and the furniture is dinged up. We had two rooms and the issues were the same. The public spaces are spectacular though.

The property is located on the hill just behind the Cabo San Lucas marina. It is an easy walk to the marina,the onsite sandy beach, and surrounding local shops/restaurants. My executive suite appeared to have been recently updated and featured comfortable king bed, large freestanding jacuzzi tub, and a balcony overlooking the marina. The onsite restaurants were clean with attentive service staff, the menus diverse enough, with the food quality being good to above average. The tennis/pickleball courts were artificial surface sprinkled with some sand (and could certainly use some updating/maintenance). From an overall experience I would recommend this resort property.

This is an amazing property! Close for walking everywhere. It’s a beautiful resort with great food options. Rooms are a little old but you can’t beat the ocean view. Beach is a little rough, not kid friendly, tide is deep and would take them. Beautiful beach, our friends got married here and they definitely know what they’re doing. Very organized wedding planner for the resort. We would stay here again

Room was great, bathrooms need to be updated. Bathtub needs to be replaced, water temperature changed when taking a shower.

The pools were great, but needed to be heated more consistently. The ocean was beautiful but not swimable. Some of the rooms are inconvenient to get to. Our room overlooked the marina but the seals bark even at night. The room was huge with a living room and a water cooler for drinking. The food was great for an all inclusive. Restaurants did not need reservations! Service was wonderful. The drinks were what you expect for an all inclusive. The evening entertainment was fun. The sports bar had a pool table. The resort had a great - I’m in Mexico vibe! Many weddings going on. The “town” is right across the street and felt safe and fun. The resort is 45 minutes away from the airport if you get a direct ride. Unfortunately, We dropped off people at a few hotels on our way and it took 2 hrs.

This hotel has a great location and a friendly and efficient staff. The public areas are in fairly good condition, but the rooms need a major refresh. Drains don’t drain sliding doors don’t slide and everything looks a little shabby. This is a great property and I hope they fix it up.

The room was in poor condition. The room was dated and the plumbing and air conditioning was not in working order. I brought this to the attention of management and I had pay an additional charge of $300 to an updated room - where again the A/C was not working. There is no way for customers to tell at the time of reservation to determine which rooms are dated or updated. The management claimed that it can be deciphered from the photos available. This is an unreasonable expectation. Overall, I will not be using this property again after this experience. The service personnel also did not understand / speak english fluently and did little to help us with our needs - specifically food and beverage.

We had another great stay at Sandos, the whole resort is clean and well maintained. The food options are good. The gem of this resort is the staff, everyone is welcoming, helpful and positive. The entertainment team goes out of their way to include everyone in activities and makes sure you know what's scheduled for the day. The location to downtown is awesome, easy walk through the marina.

Bad service, very unfriendly staff, old rooms and furniture, construction site on beach front and inside the hotel. Standard answer pf the staff if you have a request was “sorry, not possible”. Never again.

Beautiful property- staff very nice and helpful.

No hot water in rooms x3 days, despite calling the front desk daily. Hot tubs were like ice baths- only 2 on the property worked- one of them you had to have an appointment for in the spa. Food was not great. Staff was pushy to take a 90 min timeshare demo, when we said no repeatedly- they became less friendly and less helpful. Jr suits rooms were nice and clean. Housekeeping and spa employees were the friendliest.

We love Sandos! The entire staff is always so welcoming and wonerful. But, Norma and Joel are the BEST!! We keep coming back to Sandos because of Norma's beautiful energy and smile, and Joel's hospitality and friendliness can't be beat! They are always working HARD and ALWAYS smiling!! We will be back to visit them soon!!

Enjoyed a great time at this establishment you will not be disappointed. David, the concierge, was more than helpful with arranging all the activities that I wanted to do during my stay. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Helpful on all Accords.

Time and time again Sandos Finisterra has proven to be our top choice in Cabo! The location provides for easy access to the Marina and down town. The resort has?delicious dining options and activities through the day. Most of all the Staff is amazing and always very willing to make your stay extra special!

I have stayed at many all-inclusives and this was the nicest. No buffets, only breakfast, but the restaurant food was excellent. Perfect location with a swimmable beach a 5 min walk away.

The location of this resort was very close to the marina and town so I could go for walks off the property often. Built up onto the hillside gave awesome views of the marina as well as the ocean. We chose the ocean view suite. It was extremely spacious, clean, had 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a great view of the impressive pool area and beach. The food options were good. The most stand out feature of this resort are the staff that work here. They were all friendly and will make your stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Sandos Finisterra.

Our second stay here. We love the location, history and the vibe of the entire property. The Marina is such a short walk. The whale watching was spectacular. Saw whales off the balcony every day. Just the right size for an all inclusive.

The staff was amazing! The views are just beautiful. It’s very close to the marina and you can walk! First time out of the country and we loved it. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful hotel and great location. Crashing waves at the beach were breathtaking. Front desk/Check In - Lackluster with the exception of Alfredo, who was amazing! Both on arrival and departure..... What a fantastic ambassador for the property. Room - spacious, marina view beautiful and beds comfy (finisterra suite) Food - Other reviewers have commented that it's better than avg for AI. IMO not true. Mediocre at best. That said, the staff at all of the restaurants were fantastic! Drinks - Ishmail at VIP pool was the BEST. He was the highlight of our stay. All other bars had drinks that were inconsistent and not very tasty. Of note, VIP upgrade does not apply to liquor selection. Primary focus - Caters to Royal Elite Vacation Club Members. There were many loyal patrons that had been coming to the resort for years. Enjoyed visiting with them. LOVED the mascot kitty - Shadow. If you go, be sure to be kind to this tiny sweetheart. Maintenance - We were there during the hurricane and are in the property management industry so there was considerable sympathy for the challenges being faced. That said, 3 nites with no ac and consistently being told it was fixed and even lied to was not ok. Overall - Good first experience in Cabo and no regrets with choosing Sandos thanks to the service and entertainment staff. Decent value, but probably wont be opting for an AI property next time. Too many excellent drinking and dining options in town and the marina area.

This resort is wonderful! The view of the marina and city is absolutely beautiful! The food was really good. We didn’t have one thing that we didn’t like. It honestly puts other all inclusive resorts to shame, in the food department. Our rooms were very nice. My husband and I were in a casita. It was really spacious and beautiful. Our grown daughters came along with us and had a marina view in the main hotel and it was also very nice! The nightlife at this resort was really fun. The shows were really fun every night and they did an amazing job. They have a nightclub on the property and it doesn’t feel like you’re in a resort nightclub. If you like a little more active nightlife, when staying at a resort, you will love this one! We can’t wait to go back and now can’t imagine going anywhere else when we stay in Cabo.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandos- the views from the property and the property grounds are incredible. We are considering returning to get married here however the only downfall of our trip is that we both got very, very sick on our last night. That aside, most of the food tasted delicious throughout our stay.

We absolutely loved this resort. The staff was so friendly and the food was great! We loved Don Diegos for breakfast and Dinner. I would definitely stay here again. Within walking distance of the Marina and shops

Resort is very pretty but tired looking and food options are very limited and not good. Often food was served Luke warm and it’s mostly very poor quality.

We visited Sandos Finisterra with a group of nine. We appreciated that the resort immediately recognized our Expedia Gold Status and upgraded our room. Check in was quick and friendly. Overall we found all the staff friendly. There were lots of pool and oceanfront chairs available when we were there. The food was pretty good most of the time but we were disappointed in the lack of variety/options, and in particular no dedicated Mexican restaurant. The group really loved the Cupcake Cafe especially. The sushi by the pool was excellent too! The bed and our room especially was comfortable. The oceanview over the pool was stunning! Maid service was great. The area where the resort was situated was excellent for walking. The grounds were really well looked after and very esthetically pleasing. People were monitored coming in and out, so felt security was excellent. We had a mess up with our return flight home be cancelled and the resort allowed us to store our luggage and stay at the resort until 5pm while we sorted out where we'd spend the extra night. The hotel WestJet put us up at was horrible and the neighbourhood seemed unsafe. So, it made me appreciate this resort even more! We'd definitely return. Highly recommend for good value!

The room was excellent! Very spacious, clean, modern, bed was very comfortable. Everything about the hotel was excellent with the exception of the food. Food was ok. It needed more variety at the buffet specifically. They need more restaurants cause wait time was often long. Didn’t like the hostess service at the Turtle restaurant. They were not friendly at all. Drinks were good quality though. And I LOVED cup cake cafe. From the decor to the colors the quality of the coffee, the service was excellent and the view was beyond breath taking! Thank you Sandos for that very short getaway 🙏💖

Staff were very polite, helpful, friendly. Disappointed by food options—very limited and quite different compared to my previous stay several years ago.
