Parking was horrible the fence was falling down

Hotel was very rundown. Needs to be completely upgraded. Access Road to hotel in very bad condition and not enough parking for the hotel. Hotel room, walls, dirty, and need to be repainted And furniture, dirty, and worn and needs to be replaced.

The hotel was painted with that brown paint they used on the floor years ago. Water stains in the bathroom ceiling. The ice machine on the second floor had cobwebs in it. The TV did had good channels. The good thing was they allowed us to check in early.

This space feels like it will be ready for guests in a couple years. The huge paint spills on the floor, the holes in the ceilings and walls, and the general construction and stink made this stay really disappointing. They seem to have photos on Expedia that aren’t of the hotel, as we watched too many guests have the same reaction we did. Putting our do not disturb on our door, then finding our room sort of cleaned and our towels removed but not replenished made me feel unsafe. Don’t recommend. This was awful.

Hotels.com over charged me by 50$. Compared to what the bill said. The room was nasty. The elevator was broke. There was long hair and “private” hair all over the bathroom floor. The blanket looked nasty, the floors were def not mopped or swept. There was something spilled all over the floor. The pics look nothing online that they do in person, which is horrible cuz I’ve stayed in a lot of Wingate hotels. I won’t be again after this. It spelled so bad of weed and cigs on our floor

This hotel served its purpose and that is the best I can say. It was run down, I had to shove the door closed, it had roughly patched gouges in the bathroom door, the room smelled like old smoke, the bed was uncomfortable, the coffee tasted like mold, and the road to the hotel was abysmal. The sheets were soft though and it had a nice parking lot once you actually make it to the property.

The hotel is under renovations. The rooms wasn’t bad, but they wasn’t clean either. It was hair all over the bathroom floor from the previous guest. It was paint splatters on the floor. The air condition was poor. It was hot in the room. I wouldn’t stay again. It was OK for a last-minute booking, but I personally wouldn’t stay again.

The only thing I didn't like is no pool that would be really great to have in the summer time

It was really close to where we needed to be. The price was reasonable and we figured out why as soon as we pulled in. The parking lot coming in was riddled with potholes. Theres a train track directly behind and you heard the train all hours of the day and night. People walking the tracks . Witnessed a few checking the doors on vehicles in the parking lot. The room was dirty there was debri on the floors the body waah was empty they never replinished it ,water damage to the wall the tv was on , hardly any channel would come in on the tv . We had 4 guests they gave us 3 towels and 2 wash rags. Everytime you would ask for another towel they would say ask in the morning or they were drying. Put a do not disturb sign up they came into the room anyway and took only 2 of the 3 used towels and emptied 2 of the 3 trash cans and didn't put a bag back in one of them. We stayed 4days 3nights our check in was 4pm and check out at 11am but online it said check out was 1130. It also said 100 deposit and they only charged 50. The discription didnt mention a pool however the photos showed one, when we got settled in we found the pool was filled and covered by a smokers canopy.

It's just too many bad things. Start with getting into the elevator. Elevator walls are bad. The room floors was dirty with paint. How do you make up the bed and dont see the dust and floors haven't been swept and months. The tiles dust is still on the floor in the bathroom from when the tiles was installed. I didn't want my feet to touch the floors. I made the complaint to the front desk. The young ladies didn't have a response why the room was not clean properly.

The room was not clean starting with the bathroom to the sheets on the bed. It was grit on the floor.

The room was absolutely horrible and not in good conditions for anyone to stay in the sheets had stains on them as if they just made the bed up from the last guest the floor head trash on it. The shower was dirty. There were light fixtures that were taken apart, so the wires were exposed

I walked in ask to see me room and roaches were every where. stay away from this place. its very bad. I was so upset that they say its clean and yet they have extra roaches

Room had broken curtain hooks, mold under the sink, baby centipedes crawling and the hotel had an overall smell similar to that of a turtle tank.

The bed linen in 2 of the Apt were soiled and unclean. We had to ask all three days for a wash cloth. One of the guest had to move to a completely different room because when she pulled the covers back, the sheets had sand all over them. It was horrible On the 2nd day i asked to have my bed linen charged we had to sit on the lobby while they put the dirty linen in the washer and dryer. I always assumed hotels should always have extra ed linen Not 1 set per room We were very disappointed in this hotel. I will never ever book there again

I arrived late and it took a minute to get checked in. The smell in the room was very bad. Mildew covered many areas of the bathroom and the room. I have pictures. On top of that, there were dead roaches on the floor. Because I got in late and I had to leave so early I did not bother going to the desk. Since it took so long to get checked in I did t want to risk not getting any sleep. The place LOOKED ok, but was not very well maintained.

The suite room should have a TV set in the living room area. Also, there were no toiletries or coffee supplies, which was very disappointing. The road leading to the hotel was also very rocky. The road needs to be fixed.

The property is old and they've tried to update it with fresh paint and furnishings. It appears they didn't use drop sheets to paint the walls since there is paint splatter on the floors throughout. The beds were very comfy and the sheets were crisp and clean. The dated feeling of the building is very evident, door handles are broken or missing in the units, light switches don't work, etc. But it's a cost effective overnight stay and we felt that the beds were a positive and what we needed for our quick stay.

Staff made lots of excusing. Property is under rennovation. Our room was lacking many items like towels. Only thing good was the bed which was comfortable.

This is the best of the three hotels on Nates Road. Only real issue I had was with the TV - reception was really poor, going in and out, and none of the channels matched up to what they were supposed to be.

Stayed one night of a 4 night stay, had a larger room with separate living area and sofa bed. Room was obviously not cleaned before we arrived at 9:30 pm because both bathroom garbage's had dirty diapers in them. Went down and told the front desk to see if there was another room to move to and of course there wasn't so she gave us a bag to put them in ourselves. Living area had no TV as advertised, no lighting in the living area other than a portable lamp on the mini fridge which is sitting next to the couch. No coffee makers or hair dryers as advertised. I talked to the front desk about all of this and got no where. We checked out immediately at 6 am the next morning and had to find somewhere else to stay for 3 days. Now I see I was charged for the entire 4 nights and am going to have to deal with getting back the 3 nights of charges.

Upon entering our room, we instantly encountered a horrible smell, like a mixture of dirty feet and stale smoke. When you aren’t a smoker it sure stands out. The bed was very comfy and the pillows as well. I would also put body wash on the wall like your shampoo and conditioner is. Instead it was bar soap, which isn’t a problem when you have something to rest it on in the shower, so it kept falling off the top of the shampoo container and making the condition extra slippery. It worked out fine for us, but anyone elderly probably wouldn’t benefit from this. We have stayed at other Wingate by Wyndham’s and by far the worse one. I won’t mention the breakfast area.

It was good the staff were very helpful. Room was clean but some of the soap wasn't full. The TV guide was messed up

My stay was alright,the floors were very moist and felt dirty when we walked in. The suite also didn’t have a tv in the living room area where we found that weird.

The sheets were very damp. The pillows are travel size. The breakfast was very very limited to waffles and cereal. No fruit. The air would not cool the room. We will travel another place next time.

We were able to do pre-check in. So the check in process was a breeze. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Clean bedsheets. We were surprised and delighted to see that complimentary breakfast. Keep making necessary improvements. It needs to be more handicap parking. Some of the vehicles didn't have have handicap placard.

Booked last minute on our way from Indiana to Fort Jackson for our daughter’s graduation from basic training. It’s only a 10 minute drive to the base. The hotel was under construction as the new owners are doing lots of renovations. We stayed 2 nights and had already checked out but our soldier was able to be off base until 6pm and really wanted “just chill” with family and not really go anywhere or be outside. I went back to the hotel and spoke to the owners and asked if we could rent another room for just a few hours, fully expecting them to want to charge me for another night. They were so nice and let us go back into the room we had just checked out of 2 hours earlier, and only charged us a VERY reasonable late check out fee, and told us we could stay until 6pm! We needed to leave at 5pm but we stayed there with our soldier in the air conditioned comfortable room for 4 extra hours! And they didn’t even charge us that much extra! Would 100% stay there again. I was blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the couple who own this hotel.

The staff were very very nice and always went above and beyond.

Our stay was wonderful. The reservation was easy the check in was fast and the check out was fast as well. They accommodate out breakfast earlier because we were there for military graduation so left really early. And breakfast was sweet out it was awesome.

Very terrible condition and customer service, and didn't return my refund, not to mention kept hanging up when I tried calling to get my refund.

The entire hallway smelled like Marijuana every time myself and my family left our room. When checking in it was assumed that I was staying one night when I had reservations. (Was not asked if I had reservation). In the parking lot there were constantly people hanging out drinking and smoking Marijuana. There was black mold on the ceiling in the room.

Decent road side hotel overall road leading to the hotel has huge pot holes be careful

Upon arrival, I instantly got an uneasy feeling about the individuals walking the parking lot & lurking around the front of the property. Me and my 3 teenage children walked in, no one was at the desk so we wandered around in hopes of finding someone. A young lady finally came and got us checked in. Once we got to the room, we unloaded and I went to take a shower. Once I set foot into the shower, there was instantly hair from the floor that my feet had picked up, as well as dirt from the floor. The flooring itself was dusty & dirty. Found faded stains on the sheets and once my son woke up, I found a toe nail clipping next to the pillow. Not to mention other things that were wrong/sketchy.

In bad part of town. Noisy. Dont go walking to the gas station after dark. Especially white ladies. The other guests did not care they were extremely loud and obnoxious. Little babies wandering the hall. Crazy

The beds didn't get done, the front desk service was not as good. Too noisy all night! Didn't feel safe at all. It was a terrible experience and I was there for BCT graduation! But don't recommend no one to stay here, specially is not child appropriate!

The area around the properties entrances are surrounded by trash, unkept landscaping, and buildings that look abandoned. The hotel room windows looked dark and old. Then When we arrived at check in, circled the property, there was not one car on the property. The surroundings were so bad we decided not to stay at the hotel!!!!! We felt uncomfortable. We contacted Expedia who says they contacted the hotel and were refused a refund!! Also the pictures of the hotel itself did not look like online. We support small businesses but more accurate pictures of the property and its surrounding should be taken, to help customers make an informed decision. I still want a refund!!!

I was there 5 nights for my son's Army graduation. They are remodeling but room was nice and clean. Good price and accesible.

Room was nice and breakfast was good. Had yougurt, cereal and a waffle maker.

Very good... only need more food for breakfast and TV

I booked at the last minute. I rely heavily on reviews, so I skimmed them rather quickly and chose this location because of its proximity to an event I was attending. Don\'t let the "drive up" to the hotel deter you; the hotel is just past that rough patch of road that needs to be paved. The hotel is very clean. You can tell they\'re renovating, which is perfectly fine. The room I stayed in had the softest linens I\'ve ever experienced in a hotel. The bed and pillows were perfect. The ironing board was still wrapped in plastic, and the hairdryer was still in the box. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was small yet clean. It has Delta shower fixtures. I recommend a soap dish. They have a complimentary breakfast counter with a waffle iron that makes the largest waffles, with extra toppings like strawberries and other fruits, plus syrup. I wish they had butter pats, but they didn\'t. They also serve microwavable breakfast sandwiches, dry cereal, and Simply Fresh OJ! Also, the front desk is monitoring almost 40 different views of the property on their security system. so Hopefully you won\'t need to recall anything, but just in case. I would definitely stay there again.
