The hotel is nice enough but do not expect what you see in the pictures on Expedia. The pool is not available and is in serious disrepair. The courtyard by the pool is dirty and in disrepair as well. You have to pay extra for parking and there is a cop camera in the parking lot which is sketchy. I will not stay here again.

The first room I was given was horrible it smelled of mildew it was really bad, air conditioner was not working, the curtain was falling off and my bonus was the view off an extremely dirty pool which my room was right in front of it. The second room was somewhat better, still had view of dirty pool as long as I didn’t look down and I had a very noisy air conditioner that was above my head which made it hard to sleep. The elevator smelled of raid and looked dirty. The outside property was extremely dirty and unkept. I was there for three days and two of those days the trash can outside was an overflow of garbage. What I stay there again? definitely not The front desk agents made it very easy to check in they were very helpful and friendly. I got to give it to the lady who I saw just about every day cleaning the lobby it was very clean also very friendly

The shower was old and dirty, toilet was running, no espresso at breakfast even though it's on the menu, the elevator is old and slow, etc. My biggest complaint is that you advertise a fitness center when you do not, in fact, have a fitness center. There are fewer than half of the dumbbells on the dumbbell rack AND NO attachments on the cable machine. I had to uber to Planet Fitness every day when I was under the impression, based on your website, that I could work out there. I will not stay here again. Staff was very friendly though.

This was the worst hotel I’ve have stayed in for a long time. Website says 24 hr shuttle to Charlotte Airport but on off hours virtually nonexistent. Front desk is no help with information about when shuttle might be available. Several calls to hotel prior to arrival were reassuring but on-site the desk person couldn’t give any info. AC very LOUD! Elevator not working. Restaurant is bar food and buffet breakfast for a fee. Hotel shabby and out dated. Will NEVER book again. Orbitz shouldn’t offer this booking.

I booked this hotel because it has a free airport shuttle. As I had an overnight layover this was important to me. When I landed I called the hotel they said it would take 40 minutes. I waited 60 minutes and then called back. I was told it would take another 20 minutes. I asked if that was guaranteed and the lady said no. She explained that their shuttle was contractor and they were doing their regular jobs first before picking up hotel guests. I then decided to catch an Uber to the hotel. When I arrived to the hotel expressed that I felt mislead by the advertised free shuttle service. I was the told that their shuttle had broken down. I asked if it would be fixed by the morning and they said they weren’t sure and to check in the morning. I called in the morning and was told it was fixed but completely booked. I explained that I was not told I had to reserve a seat and asked if they would offer an alternate option. I was told no. In total I had to pay nearly $60 more in transportation. I am disappointed in the level of communication and willingness to provide alternate options.

Paul, Esther and Nichole were all very nice employees. That being said, we weren’t allowed to check in early. Literally no earlier than 3 pm. No late checkouts were allowed either. The entire outside patio and pool are falling apart and generally appear to be left to the wayside. The outside pool being the only real amenity, you’d think they’d take care of it. We had to go digging for towels at the front desk whenever wanted them. We showed up for breakfast at 9am, you wouldn’t have even known they offer it. The best thing this hotel did for us, was hold our luggage since we weren’t allowed to check in early, and they offered transport from the hotel to the airport.

My truck was broken into over night. I made a member of the hotel staff aware and was told the security cameras above the entrance would need to be reviewed. After the reporting officer collected my info, he was told by the employee that the cameras don’t work. Was then later told this is a recurring issue at this property and the surrounding ones. No effort has been put in by the hotel or the local law enforcement to prevent this. Was a great way to spend the morning after checking out of my room that didn’t have functioning air conditioning.

Check in took about 20 minutes and there were two employees at the desks in the lobby and one person in front of me. Not sure why it took so long to check in. Upon arriving at my room, it looks like the housekeepers didn’t wipe down the counter surfaces. The TVs are very old. Need to be updated. If you plan on watching tv bring a laptop or use your phone! Also half the outlets did not work and the pillows on one of the beds were stinky. The woman (Kat) working Wednesday august 20th wasn’t very helpful at all. The best thing about the trip was the cookies. The next day we finally got a different room. Same problems. And between switching rooms, someone in housekeeping stole items of mine and the staff didn’t do much to help me get my items back. They asked over a walkie talkie and of course the housekeeper said no they never saw my items. That concluded their investigation. The FOH staff on Thursday the 21st were very kind. But this was one of my personal top 5 worst stays I’ve had at any hotel and I’ve stayed in Charlotte hotels hundreds of times, and many others in other cities but this was just terrible. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless there’s nothing else available. The pool was open but it was green. Very disgusting. Second room we had I had to clean the counters myself again, however we did get another cookie and water. So. That was nice.

Got there at 4:30 to check in and they weren't even sure our room was going to be ready. After confirming it was, we get in and there was still hair in the shower and the room was extremely outdated. There was no back up toilet paper in our room. Water pressure in the sink was barely anything and the shower as well. The toilet did not flush unless you flushed it five times literally. We will absolutely not be coming back to this hotel ever again.

There was shaven body/pubic hair everywhere in the bathroom. So much of it that it was balled up on the floor next to the shower. It was also all over the counter top in the bathroom. The toilet seat was awfully damaged and dirty. The refrigerator wasn’t working and smelled horrible. The front desk didn’t even offer a replacement room nor a working refrigerator.

Th air conditioning WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I had to call maintenance twice and the AC still not work. I have pictures with the temperature in the room 77 degrees. How can someone rest well in a room this hot. Terrible experience!

Well it wasn't the best stay. The WiFi didn't work not once, the DirecTV had limited stations and often had poor connection. No microwave in the rooms, have to wait to use the one in the lobby.

Everything excellent, except the Satellite Dish that fed the TV in my room wasn't working correctly, and that cost me Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. They couldn't fix it by the time I had to check out. They offered to move me, but too much work, I was too tired from my very fast paced and not easy business day.

I spent a lot of $ to get a king suite after a long road trip. Upon arrival I was told that my digital check-in was invalid because it was "through expedia" despite getting an email from expedia encouraging me to do the digital check in. The room they first assigned me had a huge water leak, so we had to be moved. The second room the gave me had no mini fridge, so maintenance had to bring one from anotber room. It wasn't a cheap room and I am a Hilton rewards member, so the property should be more prepared for their guests to check in. Moving rooms was extremely difficult and annoying conscidering I drove 12 hours and had mt dog with me. Front desk staff was friendly, but... they were clearly not prepared for our arrival and unaware of the maintenance issues in their rooms.

There was only one person to check in and that was annoying being that there was three people ahead of me checking in as well. Getting off the road , you just want to get some rest and that was a delay for me. Also, it wasn’t as cleaned as I would’ve liked . Usually , Hilton hotels are pretty on point , idk if it was just my particular room or what. Lastly , I called for some extra towels , they said they would bring some up. No one ever showed up. I figured it was okay because I would just call again in the am. I called in the morning and and they told me that there was no one available to bring some up from housekeeping . I just don’t understand why that is ? I thought there was always a member of housekeeping available? I was just a little annoyed this experience at the doubletree

Everything was wonderful, except front desk staff. 2 different guys. None of them smiled, not even once. When I spoke or tried to lighten mood, they wouldn't even look me in my eyes. They made me uncomfortable and I felt unwelcomed. Housekeeping was very sweet though.

JoAnn at the front desk was simply amazing. She made sure that everyone that was there for our event was well taken care of. Any question or concerns that arose was handle properly. JoAnn made the stay all that much better.

You took my online reservation and run my credit card for the total night’s stay - almost $500. When I got to the front desk to check in, the desk attendant told me they had NO ROOMS left! I am appalled. I will be calling AMEX for a dispute of these charges. I am a HIlton Honors guest and they will also be informed as this does not look good for Hilton. We had to sit out in the parking lot to try to find a room for the night, or having to drive 3-1/2 hours back home!

So, this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a hotel. I tried to check in on time. The manager at the desk (Nadia), was flippant and acting as if we weren’t standing there. She pushed us off on another employee after making us wait, only to greet and help the next customer. She then departed for the day, after taking a large stack of the customer cookies for herself. Turns out, my prepaid reservation couldn’t be found. After almost an hour and constantly asking for a manager and being refused, I left. I attempted to contact hotels.com for a refund days later because we didn’t get to stay. I discovered that Nadia had fixed the issue on her return and charged my account, knowing I didn’t get to stay there. I would steer clear of this one.

To no fault of the hotel I wouldn't recommend walking past the stoplight nearby. Saw a few panhandlers at the stoplight nearby at both sides. Daytime I think is ok but I'd be careful after dark. The hotel itself is pretty good though.

First want to high the staff who were phenomenal!!! The lobby, bar, restaurant area is beautiful. The rooms were average and good for the price in comparison to some more expensive Hilton brands. The location is right off the interstate, but if you have to park in the back at night it can feel very unsafe. There is no clear entry way for back entry to avoid walking to the front.. we found a back entry door that lead to the gym to avoid walking to the front.

Elevator broken only one in service and the down light indicator was not working. The carpet inside the elevator was worn and dirty. Light switch in my room was damage and the toilet paper holder was broken off the wall in the bathroom. Parking lot on the side of the hotel was very dark. I felt unsafe.

The property was very nice in the lobby. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the elevator was dirty and the carpet in our room was stained. We were most disappointed when the coffee maker in our room didn’t work and then the one carafe in the lobby was empty.

There was no information given at check in. I had to go back to the desk for my complimentary water. The toilet in the room was broken and leaking water on the floor. We had to change rooms and that room had a exposed ceiling. No cheer rock. The next room was ok but on a different floor. The carpet outside the room was wet. Not damp but it had standing water. There was no buffet as advertised and there was a charge for it. I booked this hotel because of the Hilton name but never again

This property was under construction, which is understandable however a heads up would have been nice. The water pressure was awful and the hot water wasn't hot... so the shower situation was not good. The tv didn't have many options. Breakfast was RIDICULOUSLY expensive. The folks working in the breakfast area were extremely nice and made up for it, yet they were overworked and needed WAY more help on the floor with a convention in the hotel.

Although I stayed for only one night, I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is always one of the best parts of staying at doubletree. Tbe only issue I had is hotels.com says it offers free breakfast, but that was not the case. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The breakfast was awful. I shouldn't have to pay for cold food. On my return flight I had to wait over an hour at the airport before the shuttle arrived.

The food menu could use an upgrade with items & pricing! The drinks price I thought was a bit outrageous! I ordered a scotch & ginger for a ridiculous $21… The room was great but the shower was a bit tiny! If I was a little larger I probably wouldn’t fit!

We had a one night layover stay as we waited for our flight the next day. The airport shuttle was prompt and a quick ride. The hotel restaurant was open late which was a huge help and the staff were incredibly friendly.
