My 5 star review is in part due to the staff. They were so kind, helpful, and went out of their way, on several occasions, to make our stay better. The rooms have laminate floors. I love this because their is no smell from old carpet. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds were clean and acceptable. They allow pets! I did not bring one, but there was no pet smell in the hallways or in the room. The pool was nice. However, the pool room needs some updating. We didn't utilize the complementary breakfast. It has cereal, breads, waffles, juice, milk, yogurt, and a turkey sausage/egg/pita thing available. You cannot take it to your room. The only complaint I have is that there is no elevator. If stairs are an issue, this hotel is not for you. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay, wonderful staff, clean rooms, and the kids enjoyed the pool.

The motel was in the process of being updated so some places looked nice, other places ( carpet) were pretty used up. I had two grandkids with me and they were excited about swimming, but the pool was closed for maintenance. I was offered a refund, but since I booked thru hotels.com, that wasn’t an option.

Our initial room wasn’t to our satisfaction, but the front desk clerk quickly accommodated us with a better room. She was understanding, quick and helped me move our things while the kids played in the pool. It’s an older property, but it is fairly well maintained. There is no elevator, so be prepared for stairs if you’re not on the first floor.

This hotel is clean so if you just need a place to stay while on a road trip, it’s a good choice. If you’re looking for multiple night it’s not great. The heater in the pool is broken and it doesn’t seem like they have any plans to fix it. The vending machine doesn’t take dollars bills and steals your money. It was doing that last time we stopped too. They have had plenty of time to tape over the opening but they haven’t. No coffee makers in the room. The coffee in the breakfast area is not good. Breakfast is not good. Definitely running the hotel as cheaply as they can.

Rooms were nice. However the deadbolts were missing ink both rooms, the body soap container was empty, you could see light through the closed door. I thought there would be a coffee maker - there was not. The pool heater was broken. We were told the guy who tried to fix it would not answer phone calls after a failed attempt. Disappointed that we were not able to use it.

The lobby and hallway to our room was clean and smelled pleasant. When we walked into our suite room 117, the room had an intense smell of mold/mildew, the ceiling fan was caked with dust. My wife did not sleep very well because of the smell and anxiety of getting sick, which she did throughout the night. We have stayed in many Wyndham hotels and was very disappointed by this one.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here Our experience at this hotel was truly awful from start to finish. The first room we were given had a strong, unpleasant smell the moment we walked in. The room was visibly dirty, the curtains were stained, and to our shock, we even found insects inside. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for another room, but the desk worker was rude and dismissive instead of helpful. After some pushback, we were moved to a second room — only to find the exact same problems. The odor, the dirt, the stains, and the insects were all still there. It was clear that cleanliness and maintenance are not priorities at this hotel. When we requested a refund, the front desk worker refused to authorize it and only relented after we contacted Hotels.com directly. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was astounding. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Between the filthy rooms, poor hygiene standards, and unhelpful staff, I strongly recommend avoiding this property altogether. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its guests and maintains a clean, comfortable environment.

The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We often stay here as we travel to visit family and the rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is simple and the area is always clean and well stocked. This is the perfect, inexpensive stop for a good night's sleep and breakfast before hitting the road for another day.

As soon as we entered the room, there was a strong odor—like old urine masked with air freshener—which became even more noticeable when we sat on the first bed. The fitted sheet was torn, exposing a stained and visibly dirty mattress. Both mattresses sagged significantly in the center, giving the impression that they were well past their prime. When we raised our concerns, we were told the beds were only a year old, which made the condition even more surprising. In addition, the toilet seat was broken—the bolt was loose, causing the seat to shift dangerously when used. To his credit, the front desk attendant did come to fix it promptly. However, the overall condition of the room made it impossible for us to stay. We ended up leaving within an hour of checking in. On a positive note, the staff was understanding and helped us with the cancellation. Still, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

This was an incredible value! Our room was large and clean. I gave them a 4/5 rating because the shower handle came off when I turned on the shower and, though I wrestled the faucet as far to “hot” as I could, the water was lukewarm.

The price was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The AC worked great. However the hotel was very out dated, the bathroom was yellowing due to being old and we felt like we couldn’t touch anything in it. One toilet paper roll was 3/4 used and there were little dents/holes in the walls. Between the door and the frame there was a gap at the top that the hallway light shined through. Also the tv just stopped working around 10:30 pm but did start working the next morning.

Only stayed here because every hotel around Slade was booked. No elevator; stairway / stairwell to 2nd floor is gross, Room 202 bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, gaps around the main door room, clear tape on the floor where the laminate flooring either came up or to fill gaps, windows were water spotted dirty so it was hard to see outside, shower faucet dripped, round shower head flange piece not adhered to wall. Severely outdated and when we checked in we were told there was a $50 charge if we broke anything in the room. Took photos as we entered the room to document the floor, doors, shower head and shower drain in case they decide to charge us for stuff that was already broken. Other than that, we had a quiet stay, beds were firm & clean and room didn't smell old or musty.

We were not allowed to check in at 3pm it was 4:15 before I room was ready, very inconvenient. I asked if my grandson could get in the pool, I was no because we had to check in with a signature. Could have checked us in as I had already paid.

The person at the front desk tried to charge me more than what was listed for a service animal. When I told him that it did not state that on the website, he told me to take my business elsewhere. I let him know I would leave a bad review for his service and trying to overcharge me and he refused to allow me to keep my reservation. He was rude and aggressive. I will never be giving this hotel my business again.

This property is the nicest I have been in for quite awhile. Friendly American desk clerk when I arrived. He answered all questions provided info on pool and places that would deliver. I will be back. The room was fabulous

The clerk while trying to check in couldnt figure out the computer system. We had to leave and come back. The mattresses had urine stains. I booked a room on the ground floor because of mobility issues and it was switched by the clerk and there isnt an elevator. The room was dirty. I will never stay in this area again.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here Our experience at this hotel was truly awful from start to finish. The first room we were given had a strong, unpleasant smell the moment we walked in. The room was visibly dirty, the curtains were stained, and to our shock, we even found insects inside. We immediately went to the front desk to ask for another room, but the desk worker was rude and dismissive instead of helpful. After some pushback, we were moved to a second room — only to find the exact same problems. The odor, the dirt, the stains, and the insects were all still there. It was clear that cleanliness and maintenance are not priorities at this hotel. When we requested a refund, the front desk worker refused to authorize it and only relented after we contacted Hotels.com directly. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was astounding. This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Between the filthy rooms, poor hygiene standards, and unhelpful staff, I strongly recommend avoiding this property altogether. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its guests and maintains a clean, comfortable environment.

The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We often stay here as we travel to visit family and the rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is simple and the area is always clean and well stocked. This is the perfect, inexpensive stop for a good night's sleep and breakfast before hitting the road for another day.

The Baymont has the potential to get five stars. It's clean the staff was nice. The rooms are of the time period except the bathrooms. Very dated and not what you see in the picture. With that said the shower head sprayed everywhere but the water was hot! Beds were comfy as were the pillows. We always turn the air all the way down and stayed warm under the covers. Breakfast it's free, you can't complain about free. We didn't use the pool but it looked well maintained. The property just sits in a weird cul de sac type area with another hotel! Nothing else around it. And it was priced decent with some credit I had.

This was just a quick overnight stop on the way home, but it was perfect for us The staff is friendly and the lobby is bright and welcoming. The stairwells need a fresh coat of paint, but our room was spacious, clean and very comfy. Breakfast was well stocked and the attendant checked to make sure it stayed that way. I would love to see some protein like boiled eggs added, but otherwise, the coffee was good and I enjoy the waffle station where you can make your own. The hotel is very convenient off I64. We will be back.

They are redoing the carpet and appear to be remodeling. Front and dining area are nice, and rooms good. The bathroom seems to be in process because it needed a few repairs. Overall fine and good price, plus convenient.

The property definitely needs updates. A bit musty smelling in the hallways, window in the room was so dirty you could barely see out, curtain rods stuck, TV remote barely worked, breakfast was very minimal. Bed was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Very pricey for the condition of the property. Easy location on and off freeway.

My 5 star review is in part due to the staff. They were so kind, helpful, and went out of their way, on several occasions, to make our stay better. The rooms have laminate floors. I love this because their is no smell from old carpet. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds were clean and acceptable. They allow pets! I did not bring one, but there was no pet smell in the hallways or in the room. The pool was nice. However, the pool room needs some updating. We didn't utilize the complementary breakfast. It has cereal, breads, waffles, juice, milk, yogurt, and a turkey sausage/egg/pita thing available. You cannot take it to your room. The only complaint I have is that there is no elevator. If stairs are an issue, this hotel is not for you. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay, wonderful staff, clean rooms, and the kids enjoyed the pool.

The property was a lot nicer and cleaner than I expected. There were a few downfalls. There’s no elevator so it sucks having to carry all your bags up the stairs. Also the breakfast is slim to nothing there was bananas a waffle maker yogurt and toast. It’s an ok place to stay if you’re staying for work and you just need a place to rest and you have time to stop somewhere before to get breakfast. The beds are comfortable and everything was very clean.

extremely clean, convenient, close to interstate and the event we wanted to attend. staff was excellent. the "morning" staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. the breakfast was awesome. we did not use the pool, but looked and it was very clean!

Room was clean enough, but shampoo dispenser was empty. Bulge in carpet made it hard to open and close the door. Carpets in stairwells were very dirty and in need of replacement. Free breakfast was adequate, but had some poor excuse for orange juice.

This hotel is clean so if you just need a place to stay while on a road trip, it’s a good choice. If you’re looking for multiple night it’s not great. The heater in the pool is broken and it doesn’t seem like they have any plans to fix it. The vending machine doesn’t take dollars bills and steals your money. It was doing that last time we stopped too. They have had plenty of time to tape over the opening but they haven’t. No coffee makers in the room. The coffee in the breakfast area is not good. Breakfast is not good. Definitely running the hotel as cheaply as they can.

This place is a filthy nasty mess. The rooms are not cleaned on a regular basis. The entire facility was in disrepair. The breakfast bar consisted of cereal, snack cakes and instant coffee. The bathtub had so much grime built up it left a reside on my skin that stained the bed sheets. The window blinds were ripped and broken. The TV wouldn't change channels. The railing on the back entrance was pulled away from the wall. Overall, this was a nightmare of a stay. Came home worried that I may have contracted some type of disease from staying there.

While we did have issues, the over all stay was good. There is no elevator and no double bed rooms on the first floor. So I had to walk up and down stairs being disabled just so I could have rooms for my family of 6. They sold all the ajoining rooms to single occupants so we couldnt even have adjoining rooms or even rooms side by side. Our two rooms were across and down the hall from each other. Which you can imagine how fun that was with everyones stuff in one big suitcase. Yes we had booked online for 2 rooms. At least the rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. We had to find someone to open the pool after the stated open time, but the kids enjoyed it. The breakfast was as you would expect for a quick meal, not fresh, only self serve waffle available for hot food. With its issues, it was still an enjoyable visit. At least for my family.
