Very convenient to Monterrey downtown and Fisherman's Wharf. If you just want a clean and safe hotel to rest your head after a busy day, this hotel is great. It doesn't offer any amenities like breakfast and it really isn't in walking distance of anything, but when we visit somewhere, we really spend very little time in the room. Just want somewhere clean and safe. You can tell these rooms were recently redone.

A last minute booking was treated just as a prebooked ressie. Check in was easy and fast. Room was clean and fresh even though the hotel seemed to have been there for years. I was thankful the parking was right outside the door, off the street, and felt secure. Great option for the area if you need a room just to sleep and get clean. Far less expensive than those in town for similar amenities.

Room was comfortable, updated and clean but management needs to train its staff on housekeeping policy as the receptionist was unaware that the national website allowed guests to request daily housekeeping instead of the standard once every three days. Although I was provided with daily housekeeping the desk clerk made it appear that she was doing me a favor. Rooms need a microwave badly as most of your competitors have them.

It is a very nice hotel. My only downfall with it is that it didn't have a microwave in the room. They have one in the lobby that you can use. Very goid location, under 10 minutes to the beach.

nice and clean rooms. parking is very narrow you can not open the car doors comfortably if parked, you will need to back up to let your passenger get access.

I reserved the Super 8 near downtown Monterey across from the mall, so I could walk to restaurants and that property is on a quieter road. Unfortunately, I was put at the Super 8 on Freemont, where it is very loud and not very safe. Abandoned lots next door. I was told I could check in at 12pm. for an early check-in but couldn't until 230pm. The bed was clean but the floors were very dirty. My feet were black from walking on them. The TV had limited channels and was too small to even see from the bed. Noise all night from the street, planes and the walls being too thin. You get what you pay for, but it's not worth $130. if you can't sleep or relax. Would not stay again.

The staff was helpful and so nice. My room was clean. In front of the property is a Denny’s for a quick breakfast. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the wharf and 15 to Cannery Row. I recommend this place!

Lady at front desk was very nice even though it was late & my Hotels.com reservation was just a few mins. before arriving. Room was super clean & bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom was huge, probably for accessibility, if using a chair. We were pleased for such a last minute reservation. Room had a refrigerator, 3 smaller pillows, night stands on each side of King bed w/ power outlets on each, & refrigerator.

Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Although an older hotel, it has recently been renovated and updated. Everything was very clean and convenient. There is a Denny's across the street and a CVS just a few doors down which made our week stay even more convenient.

I enjoyed this place because it was convenient to myself and family. I was able to get breakfast right across the street and when I needed pain meds CVS pharmacy was next door. Front lobby employees very friendly and I will recommend to my family and friends to stay here while visiting beautiful Monterey
