The only thing I can pick was no lifts apart from that great place to stay we where all happy.

Port Douglas itself is nice. We visited the markets and had a nice meal at the tin shed. We were disappointed to find the pool bar closed despite being Australia Day long weekend and no restaurant at the property. The common areas were dirty and sections in and around the pool were under repair. Only redeeming feature was proximity to the beach.

This is a lovely resort that has a larger pool for all ages to enjoy. We had a ground floor room which went straight out to the pool. Shaded patio to sit outside which is handy when you don't want to be inside as the rooms are on the smaller side. Great location to town and the beach. It just needs an upgrade and the breakfast was extremelly poor.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, easy to walk to the main Street. Loved the swim up bar and always enough lounges by the pool.

The swim up bar is sensational here. Comfy seats. Shade. Drinks. Drinks. More drinks. Not too many gronks. There are kids and they are cute and have their own little swim spa area. There’s a bloody giant fibreglass Croc! Also Josefa is the woman behind the best cocktails in Port Douglas. Makes a mean lurid green drink whose name I forget - they’re that potent, strong and yumz. Big ups Josefa! You and the big croc really made my day! X

The hotel is just out of town. 15 mins walk and 20 mins walk to the Superyacht marina. It’s a beautiful hotel. We had room 57 which was large and included a kitchen, dining table and lounge area. Large bathroom with tub and large balcony overlooking the pool and lagoon swim up bar. Ideally situated. Happy hour is 4-5pm. There’s lots of little nooks to explore. The main pool and 2 lap pools at the rear of the hotel. We didn’t come across the fitness centre or games room but they’re on the map. There’s a tennis court and a spa/bbq near to the breakfast room, aswell as more BBQ’s near the lap pools. We added breakfast onto our booking which was much cheaper than paying locally. There’s a bottle shop directly opposite the hotel. I loved the open feel to the hotel. No front doors. The reception area has a comfortable seating area with a small coffee bar and big overhead fans. All open plan and overlooking the pool. There’s a pathway at the rear that leads onto 4mile beach. You can do the scenic walk but wouldn’t recommend doing it in flip flops lol. It’s steep and rocky in places but manageable. It was my birthday and there was a bottle of bubbles and a birthday card waiting when we arrived. Very much appreciated. There’s a Coles and small Kmart in the town. Lots of bars and restaurants and bottle shops. Market day is Sunday and Wednesday. Port Douglas is beautiful.

Loved the pool and bar area, even though one of the spas wasn't working. Loved that the property is nice and quiet and our room had everything for a self contained stay. The Air Conditioner and the ceiling vent in the bathroom could have been cleaned as these were quite dirty and gave the room a musty smell.

We was placed next to room that had work being done and our amenities were empty upon arriving to the room such as conditioner and shampoo as well as the balcony being dirty. As noted by the hotel they only change your pool and normal bathroom towels every 4 days I would bare this in mind when booking as you don’t feel very clean during your experience especially if visiting in the unpredictable weather. Apart from that the staff were extremely friendly especially the lady on reception and the pool bar and staff were great. Good experience overall if looking for a budget friendly stay.

The first room we were given was filthy. There was mould in the fridge, dust everywhere, dead flies on the ground, rubbish and laundry outside our door and in the corridor, our outlook from the balcony was overlooking derelict housing with fridges on verandah. Thankfully we were shown another room, which was better. Maintenance on the pool so some of it had tape around it. The food at the pool bar was terrible. $18 for nuggets and chips!! I chose this property for a surprise for my boyfriend for his Birthday; I have never been more embarrassed in my life. So disappointing. Do not stay here!

Lovely place to stay. The pool and spa is great! The rooms are clean and bed was comfy. Nice and quiet at night.

The room was not clean, one shower had a tap missing, the drains smelt like sewerage, cooking oil was splattered throughout the kitchen and it was extremely disappointing given the expense.

The place is little dated but is well looked after. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our only gripe about the place was the cleanliness standards for the rooms where the floors and bathrooms were not cleaned well. The floor was dusty and sticky and I happened to drop my EarPods where one went under th bed and the other under the sofa and when I went to pick them up the floor looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Cleaness aside everything else was great.

We loved the pool area and the swim up bar was great! Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned properly and not having room service and fresh towels was very disappointing. We had to wear shoes in the room because our socks/feet would be filthy. The breakfast is not hygienic and the food was not fresh.

Rooms weren't especially clean. Floors not swept. The bathroom, although clean, had mould growing on ceiling due to no ventilation. Ants were in bathroom and kitchen. Beds were comfortable though

I didn't like getting a mould infested room . Unclean and standard appointments not there .Very disappointed

No housekeeping for 6 night stay (which we did not know when we booked - no mention of this in booking info) room Is a little cramped and basic - sound proofing dreadful and because rooms Surround pool area, even though it doesn’t open til 9 we were regularly woken by children yelling and splashing policed neither by staff or parents. I don’t appreciate towel exchange - having to traipse to front desk with my dirty pool and shower towels for new ones is just plain tacky. Gym is dingy and in desperate need of maintenance. On the upside, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is a pleasant 1km walk from Main Street and 5 minute walk to beach.

Nice resort! Clean room, friendly staff, wonderful pools! Decent continental breakfast, and we loved the pancake machine! The only one thing. We booked 1 bedroom apartment and we thought it wil be a separate bedroom, but unfortunately it was a studio, with a wall pretending to separate it in the middle of the room. Apart from that, everything was very enjoyable.

The wifi was very poor, which really detracted from the experience unfortunately

The pool was unique. We didn't swim but it was nice to look at from our ground floor room. The front desk was very helpful giving us directions to the beach, restaurants. The room above us was noisy. It sounded like they were moving furniture and lasted for about an hour 9-10 PM. It would be nice if they served breakfast at 6 PM. We had an early snorkel trip.

Great stay!! Staff were helpful, room was lovely and pools were so good! Breakfast was just the job and the gym was good too. Liked the feeling of being in a hotel but left alone and not bothered by housekeeping, concierge etc. Being independent in our apart/rooms but using all the facilities felt perfect :D

Staff were rude and unhelpful, the ladies at breakfast spent all their time in the back kitchen talking (we as the guests could hear them) and not helping the customers.

Staff were great, I asked for our room to be changed to the top floor and was delighted when this was changed for us. We had the same room we have stayed in 3 times before. The bins had not been emptied but staff had housekeeping attend to this for us without fuss. We also had the aircon dropping water which was fixed very promptly.

No daily house-keeping/service was disappointing given the price

We enjoyed our stay at the Mantra Portsea. Location was fantastic, being walking distance to the beach, ocean lookouts and the Main Street. Great living area in rooms, and has beautiful bedrooms with such comfy bedding. Pools were also enjoyable with lagoon Would definitely recommend this accomodation if you’re staying in Port Douglas.

Property is very clean and the pool area is amazing. Also, really appreciated the convenient location for shopping and food options.

$9 for a poorly made coffee.

Booked for 5 people but room was not supplied with same. Was told I should have asked but booking was clear. Breakfast was ridiculously overpriced for toast & a health hazard with shared condiments. Would not recommend or return to this property. Such a disappointment.
