The Nederland area is a hidden gem and Randy’s home exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a perfect view, time to relax, amazing accommodations this is your place. We love to cook so the grill and kitchen were perfect. Sauna, hot tub, open air to the outside elevated the experience. Our only regret was not staying three nights.

This was the best house we have ever stayed in. It’s truly an escape. Very clean, impeccable design, and incredible views. Three days of relaxing, reconnecting, and hanging out as a family. There is nothing not to love here. For us, what stood apart was the design of the house, heated concrete floors, hot tub, and the calm you reach when feeling so close to nature. We cannot wait to return!

My two daughters and I very much enjoyed our stay! The location is quiet, but easy access to Nederland and Golden State Park. We used the hot tub each day and appreciated that the coffee grinder was full and there were extra coffee beans in the freezer if needed. The beer on tap was a fun addition!

This property was so thoughtfully designed, and has amazing views and thoughtful touches throughout. I we enjoyed the spa robes and heated floors, the local beer on tap, and the layout that made it easy to reconnect, unwind and enjoy!

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been covered already - this place is wonderful. We ended up staying inside due to some pretty horrible weather, and we were fine with that! The kitchen is well appointed, beds and lounge areas are comfy, we even did a sauna & cold bath dip in the master bathroom. Not difficult to get to, but feels worlds away. We will definitely be back.

Family of four (6yo & 9yo) had an extended stay over Christmas checking out on New Year’s Day. We had a relaxing an enjoyable stay. The views are amazing. The hot tub and sauna were so needed after fun in the snow. Was the perfect trip and look forward to doing it again!

From the in-suite sauna, the outside hot tub, the upscale appointments, the eclectic works of wall art and sculpture, the wonderfully equipped kitchen... an amazing experience. We will be back soon!!

Wow is all we can say! This property is more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures. The details, from interior decorating to the kitchen stocked well with quality cookware, are spot-on. We really enjoyed the hot tub for an early morning soak and sitting on the deck which affords views of the mountains and countryside. This time of year the hummingbirds were so prevalent that they often came right up to us! It is in a convenient location, not far from Boulder or Golden. We drove into Nederland and Blackhawk to eat and neither was a very far drive. One word about getting to the house - be prepared for a steep grade on a dirt/gravel road with moderate ruts.

Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Very cozy, tastefully decorated, with wall to wall windows showcasing the surrounding forest. Great deck with clean hot tub. Fully stocked kitchen to cook, and the benefits of coffee and beer. Comfortable beds. Could not ask for more. About 10 min from town. Absolutely no awkwardness having the owner downstairs, and he was actually extremely helpful when we had an unexpected hailstorm that broke our windshield

This property is a wonderful place to really feel one with nature. It's very quiet and serene, and yet only 3 miles to Black Hawk, 6 miles to Nederland, and 35 miles to Boulder. The home itself is very charming, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home inside and out. The views are incredible. Rooms are clean, well updated, and uniquely decorated. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen or in the living room with the whole front of the house opened up with the patio doors and garage door. Location is great, very centralized for all of our planned adventures. Will definitely be checking the availability to return.

Randy was a wonderful host and his property is simply breath taking. We had a such a wonderful time enjoying the mountain air, trails around the area, and the quaint town of Nederland (just 6 miles away). Could not have picked a better place. Clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Hope to be back sometime soon.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Towering Pines. It truly is a mountain retreat! Well managed and clean. In fact, it’s probably the cleanest rental property we’ve ever stayed in! Very comfortable, relaxing and truly a getaway! We were able to enjoy nature and even had two bull moose walk in front of the cabin one evening! We loved the architecture, hot tub, and true uniqueness of this amazing property. We will definitely be back

Just like the pictures - beautiful place, clean and well maintained. Our family really enjoyed the stay. We visited a couple universities with our daughters, skied and enjoyed Nederland. Surprisingly central to everywhere we wanted to go: University of Colorado, Boulder, University of Denver, Eldora Ski Resort and Copper Mountain. Randy, the owner, was/is a super nice guy and helpful. He knows the area restaurants and attractions - excellent resource…. (Cross Cut Pizza was incredible)

First, Randy is a wonderful host. Great communication and detailed directions. The home has beautiful views and the drive to Boulder was stunning. The home was clean and perfect for families or groups looking for a quite getaway. Would highly recommend.

This home was a great place to stay while our youngest was a summer camp about an hour away. Every morning we would open up the garage door and keep it open pretty much all day, even into the evening, just taking in the fresh mountain air. The house had everything we needed and was well appointed. Everything was super comfortable and in working order. Driveway was great for exercise as it is nice and steep and makes for a good place to walk up and down, especially if you're used to Kansas' altitude! It was a huge added bonus and surprise that we were as close as we were to Nederland which is big enough to have everything you might need along with some great places to eat, snack, and visit. We're Catholic so a church being there was great as well. I had initially thought we'd need to go back to the city for Mass, but even then, the city is extremely accessible being only about 35 minutes away. It was a short drive to head in to Arvada and play 9 holes of golf on a really nice public course. Colorado is great! Nederland is great! This home was wonderful! Randy is a great host and nice guy to talk to. I highly recommend this house and would go back in a second.

My wife and I spent the past week for an anniversary trip, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The home was comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The views from the living area and surrounding deck made it so relaxing while spending time whether it was just watching TV, reading a book or sitting in the hot tub. The beer tap with an IPA craft beer was a nice touch for those of us that are into that. The location was close to some good hiking trails and the small quaint town of Nederland. We appreciate the use of the property from Randy and look forward to returning as soon as we are able to.

We had a wonderful time at Randy's home. The location felt secluded and extremely well appointed. We had everything we needed (except all weather tires on our rental car!) Randy called to check in and was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Wanted a little get away in nature to relax! This did not disappoint! The house is beautiful and the location was perfect! Loved having my morning coffee outside looking at the beautiful view! The host Randy was so lovely and accommodating! Highly recommend! Would love to come back!
Wanted a little get away in nature to relax! This did not disappoint! The house is beautiful and the location was perfect! Loved having my morning coffee outside looking at the beautiful view! The host Randy was so lovely and accommodating! Highly recommend! Would love to come back!

Beautiful cabin in the mountains. Very cozy, tastefully decorated, with wall to wall windows showcasing the surrounding forest. Great deck with clean hot tub. Fully stocked kitchen to cook, and the benefits of coffee and beer. Comfortable beds. Could not ask for more. About 10 min from town. Absolutely no awkwardness having the owner downstairs, and he was actually extremely helpful when we had an unexpected hailstorm that broke our windshield

This property is a wonderful place to really feel one with nature. It's very quiet and serene, and yet only 3 miles to Black Hawk, 6 miles to Nederland, and 35 miles to Boulder. The home itself is very charming, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home inside and out. The views are incredible. Rooms are clean, well updated, and uniquely decorated. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen or in the living room with the whole front of the house opened up with the patio doors and garage door. Location is great, very centralized for all of our planned adventures. Will definitely be checking the availability to return.

My two daughters and I very much enjoyed our stay! The location is quiet, but easy access to Nederland and Golden State Park. We used the hot tub each day and appreciated that the coffee grinder was full and there were extra coffee beans in the freezer if needed. The beer on tap was a fun addition!

Randy was a wonderful host and his property is simply breath taking. We had a such a wonderful time enjoying the mountain air, trails around the area, and the quaint town of Nederland (just 6 miles away). Could not have picked a better place. Clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Hope to be back sometime soon.

This home was a great place to stay while our youngest was a summer camp about an hour away. Every morning we would open up the garage door and keep it open pretty much all day, even into the evening, just taking in the fresh mountain air. The house had everything we needed and was well appointed. Everything was super comfortable and in working order. Driveway was great for exercise as it is nice and steep and makes for a good place to walk up and down, especially if you're used to Kansas' altitude! It was a huge added bonus and surprise that we were as close as we were to Nederland which is big enough to have everything you might need along with some great places to eat, snack, and visit. We're Catholic so a church being there was great as well. I had initially thought we'd need to go back to the city for Mass, but even then, the city is extremely accessible being only about 35 minutes away. It was a short drive to head in to Arvada and play 9 holes of golf on a really nice public course. Colorado is great! Nederland is great! This home was wonderful! Randy is a great host and nice guy to talk to. I highly recommend this house and would go back in a second.

We really enjoyed the hot tub for an early morning soak and sitting on the deck which affords views of the mountains and countryside. This time of year the hummingbirds were so prevalent that they often came right up to us! It is in a convenient location, not far from Boulder or Golden. We drove into Nederland and Blackhawk to eat and neither was a very far drive. One word about getting to the house - be prepared for a steep grade on a dirt/gravel road with moderate ruts.

My wife and I spent the past week for an anniversary trip, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there. The home was comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The views from the living area and surrounding deck made it so relaxing while spending time whether it was just watching TV, reading a book or sitting in the hot tub. The beer tap with an IPA craft beer was a nice touch for those of us that are into that. The location was close to some good hiking trails and the small quaint town of Nederland. We appreciate the use of the property from Randy and look forward to returning as soon as we are able to.

The Nederland area is a hidden gem and Randy’s home exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a perfect view, time to relax, amazing accommodations this is your place. We love to cook so the grill and kitchen were perfect. Sauna, hot tub, open air to the outside elevated the experience. Our only regret was not staying three nights.

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been covered already - this place is wonderful. We ended up staying inside due to some pretty horrible weather, and we were fine with that! The kitchen is well appointed, beds and lounge areas are comfy, we even did a sauna & cold bath dip in the master bathroom. Not difficult to get to, but feels worlds away. We will definitely be back.

We spent a three night girls trip here and had the best time. The property was very intentionally designed and decorated, and we had plenty of room to spread out. The hot tub and sauna were amazing, and we fell in love with the nearby town of Nederland. There was even beer on tap in the kitchen! Would definitely book again 💗

This is not a VRBO, this is a labor of love. A mini-destination resort, the details and craftsmanship, big and small, that Randy has put into this place are phenomenal. From the in-suite sauna, the outside hot tub, the upscale appointments, the eclectic works of wall art and sculpture, the wonderfully equipped kitchen... an amazing experience. We will be back soon!!

Just a spectacular mountain retreat! We saw a young moose the night that we arrived. A first for everyone in my party. The property is very unique, from the amenities to the decor... everything was simply first class. If anything, the property lives even better in person than it shows in pictures. Awesome host, and awesome stay.

We throughly enjoyed our stay! Every detail is thought out very well. We like to cook and prepare meals every day and everything we needed was provided. It was so nice to go explore all day and come back to the sauna and hot tub. will definitely come back.
