Overall good stay, however the pool was close for the week we were there.

Pool and hot tub were out of service but we were not made aware of this prior to our arrival which was disappointing.

The property is in an out of the way location. It is in an outdoor mall with a movie theatre and a couple of restaurants plus a fun looking water park but otherwise nowhere to walk around and need to get into the car to go anywhere. We know this going in and it was not a problem for us. The hotel was clean and felt safe. The pool is closed for maintenance but they provide complimentary access to nearby waterpark. This is a really nice resolution/perk although we could not take advantage of it due to our timing. What bothered us is that the hotel advertises as an "airport hotel" however their shuttle only runs only once an hour. Also, we had an early flight. The breakfast room doesn't open until 7:00 am and the provided "bag breakfast is a juice box, apple and lousy commercial muffin. As a hotel on the west coast serving airport clientele they should expect travelers, especially those heading east, to have early departures. The breakfast room should probably open at 5:00 and they should provide shuttles every 30 minutes.

The only downfall was the pool and hot tub were closed

Clean comfortable room. Check in easy. Used their shuttle from airport, he was a safe driver but took us forever to get to hotel. Another group waited long time to get through to front desk to get shuttle service.

The property is quiet, seems safe, decent breakfast. The pool is gross murky ,stinky water and the side door key card opener does not work so you must walk all the way around the property to get after you park in the back

The pool was closed, but they had an alternate arrangement with a nearby facility. My kids loves it!

The food was good. The parking stalls are small and people park like idiots. Had trouble getting in and out of my car.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were very nice. Pool was not working but received a free pass to a walkable water park. Overall we had a great stay.

Paid extra for a suite. Room not clean, bathtub disgusting. Water all over the kitchen floor (not sure where it came from)

We splurged on getting a suite, unfortunately it smelled like B.O. when we arrived. Had to open windows and crank AC. Several dirty fingerprint marks on doors and walls, thank god we brought lysol wipes! Some scunge in bathtub not cleaned.They really need to up their quality control. Parking is very limited if you come back after dinner, several cars searching for a spot. Breakfast, I thought would be good, only edible thing was turkey sausage, eggs were processed and gross.

The room needed further cleaning. The baseboards were filthy with dust. The headboard was so gross with stains that we scooted our pillows down to avoid touching it. The bed sheet had a black stain on it. If we had not been so tired from the day (checked in late), we would have refused to stay at this hotel and gone somewhere else.

Clean rooms.

We had a special time as a family, but if we had the chance, we would choose a different hotel within the same category and price range. The positives: The friendliness of the staff, especially at the front desk. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are generally cozy (although we noticed a smell of humidity or unwashed carpet) The location is very convenient if you are visiting Vancouver. The breakfast is excellent, It would be ideal to extend the hours until at least 11 a.m., considering many guests are on vacation. What we didn’t like: 1. Pool and jacuzzi The excessive chlorine was overwhelming. This was disappointing, as the pool and jacuzzi were our main reasons for choosing the hotel. The experience wasn’t enjoyable: our daughter’s and my sister-in-law’s hair became completely dried out. Since they both have light-colored hair, they were affected the most. Additionally, the pool was too cold, while the jacuzzi was excessively hot, making it difficult to enjoy. 2. Room cleanliness Although the housekeeping staff was friendly, the cleaning was subpar. They only made the beds but didn’t thoroughly clean the bathroom or other areas. We noticed mold in one corner of the tub, rust at its base, and the mirror was never cleaned. 3. Lack of options for kids This hotel isn’t designed for families with children. When it rains (which is common in Vancouver), adding a play area, a ping-pong table, or an air hockey table would make the experience much better. Thanks!

Room was clean and well maintained, friendly staff, nice buffet style breakfast as well.

This hotel is so dirty and outdated. I wish I had of known the state of the place before I booked a night. For fifty more dollars I could have stayed at versante hotel which is a top notch clean hotel with amazing amenities. The housekeeping lady was nice and tried to make the stay more comfortable for me. She actually had to come in my room and clean it with bleach while I was in there. This was after they switched me to a different room due to filth. It was an absolute nightmare , I was in tears and ready to sleep in my vehicle in the parking lot. I was so uncomfortable with the uncleanliness I barely got any sleep and I felt like it was a total waste of money. The breakfast was buffet style which seemed good but tasted questionable. The bacon smelled and tasted old as if it as rotten and cooked anyways I had some rice and a few bites of a cold cheese omelette and tossed my entire plate in the trash. I ended up having a juice and a cup of coffee as most everything in the buffet was barely warm and all had a bit of an off taste. I wish I could say good things about this hotel but I really don't have anything to say. I rented a room with a Jacuzzi tub as I am very ill and wanted to be able to soak my sore body.Bad idea. $500 damage deposit if you use a visa debit card. It's absolutely outrageous for what you get. Nothing in that room is worth $500 it's so outdated and dirty. Absolutely horrendous and I do not recommend!! Avoid this hotel at all cost if you want a clean room.

Given the sweltering mid-July heat, this wasn't a viable solution. Meanwhile, I received a greeting text message from the hotel, which I assumed was automated. However, I decided to respond and explain the AC issue, stating that if they couldn't change the room, we'd have to cancel and find alternative accommodations. To my surprise, they responded promptly, saying they'd need 10 minutes to find a solution. True to their word, they quickly relocated us to another room with a perfectly functioning AC. We were impressed by their efficient problem-solving, facilitated through text messages with Farah GM. Kudos to the Holiday Inn team for their great customer service!

Room was clean but dated and expensive for quality of the room

The hotel needs some maintenance work with broken elevator that was never repaired in 4 days, Had to change rooms because of noisy AC

Nice, quiet, peaceful location. Older hotel, room could use an update. I booked this room specifically for the jetted spa tub; , jets did not work and I was not told about this in advance. Overall the staff was very friendly.

My 7 day stay was Ok. Some things were not the hotel's fault. It is located next door to an entertainment complex. Apparently, there was some type of youth hockey competition going on and the kids were loud for a few days. What I didn't like was the road noise, the AC (personal), breakfast quality and it took 2 days for one request. What it did like. The location is good and for a day or two it would be fine. Access to the frwy and other parts of the city were good. There are buses and restaurants 8 minute walk.

I found the customer service was not accommodating.

We stayed on July 11 for one night and checked in at 10 pm. The staff who checked us in were very helpful. We were a party of five, knowing that they didn't provide adequate bedding in advance. My husband went to the front desk requesting additional bedding around 11:05 pm after we had settled down, requesting an extra comforter and bed sheet. They told him they would come to our room shortly and provide it. We waited for 30 minutes, but one showed up, and as we had to catch a flight the next day early in the morning, I called them again to see when they would provide us. The guy at the register told me one of his colleagues is on his way, and we waited for 20 minutes, but no one showed up. I got frustrated and decided to go to the front desk. On my way, I met the staff who had checked us in and complained to them about the situation. He told me shift changes at 11 pm, but he will go right now and ask someone who can come and provide us with bedding. It took us an hour and a half to get the bedding. The soap that was in the bathroom was Really old and chunky. This was the worst experience. My daughter saw a bug and she got so scared that she did not even sleep whole night. So disappointed with the stay. Being such a big franchise they need to maintain the standard and provide better service. I am never staying here again. I didn't want to spoil my flight so didn't say anything to the guy who was at the front desk in the morning.

Elnora and Belen in the kitchen are so accommodating and friendly to everyone. Jovy as well is very helpful . Overall the best customer service. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Stayed here for the night (checked in 11:45pm) to catch plane next morning, but when we went to use the bathroom at 7:00am the toilet over flooded the room. Told front desk immediately, but she said we needed to wait 2 hours until maintenance came in. Couldn’t take shower or use bathroom. Didn’t offer to move us rooms so we could take a shower before leaving or offer us any other compensation for our inconvience. Don’t recommend.

Friendly, quick, competent staff! Room was clean. Complimentary breakfast was well appreciated! Good amenities such as the exercise room and pool.

They’re always so polite when checking in. Dinusha recalled a conversation we had earlier that morning and was pleasant to check in with. Farah responded when I sent via text that the hot tub was wayyyy too hot and they immediately fixed it! Great place to stay.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at the Holiday Inn Riverport Richmond BC. Firstly, I missed the first night of my reservation due to last-minute ferry cancellations (I was traveling from Vancouver Island). I had contacted the hotel via Expedia to explain the situation, but I received no response. When I arrived for the second night, the front desk staff refused to check me in, claiming my entire reservation had been canceled due to the no-show policy. I tried explaining and even showed proof of my message to Expedia, but the staff refused to help. A lady manager then came out and was extremely rude, saying things like, “It’s not our fault if you missed the ferry,” and laughing when my spouse mentioned filing a credit card dispute, saying, “You’re not going to win.” Thankfully, after the lady manager walked away, an assistant manager stepped in and deescalated the situation. Unfortunately, the poor experience didn’t end there:     1.    The TV in the room was completely unusable (no channels and no internet connection).     2.    The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work, which caused a persistent foul odor.     3.    At around 10:00 AM on the check out day, a housekeeper entered our room without knocking or announcing herself first. It was 10am, not 11am. We still had an hour to check out. What’s the rush and why didn’t knock first? This experience fell far short of the standards I expected from Holiday Inn.

The hotel is a little out of the way. But great for hockey teams. We didn’t get to hotel until 11:30pm due to late plane. Didn’t check the bathroom amenities out. But next morning when we went to take showers there was no bath towels, just hand towels. Maybe check rooms after they are cleaned to make sure everything is done. Great beds.

I tend to stay here when I need to be in Richmond or i have an early flight out of the airport. Tere is dining about 1 mile away across the 99 Hwy but other than that you are a bit isolated, good or bad however you look at it.

Great place to stay if you're hockey tournament is being held at the ice center next door. Bowling, theatre and a pub are within walking distance. Complimentary breakfast isn't bad.

Convenient and affordable stay in Richmond, close to ferries and YVR. We were visiting family in the lower mainland and wanted a location close to the ferries in Tsawassen and the Vancouver airport. This was a great location, reasonably priced, with food options nearby. Breakfast was a nice addition. Rooms were tended to daily to make beds and refresh towels, etc, which many hotels do not offer anymore. Would stay here again. Staff were friendly. We did not use gym, pool or hot tub and can’t comment on that.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, there are no amenities close by such as a liquor store or gas station

A great location for any of sporting activities that are happening at the Richmond ice center. there is a close proximity to other amenities as well. Like a movie theater, a jump house. And not that far out of the way for restaurants as well.

We like the are close to Watermania, extreme air park and bowling. 12 minutes from Richmond mall.

The hotel itself was great, the room we had was spacious and the complimentary breakfast was awesome with a lot of food choices. All in all a great stay. If you are looking at location, it is not very close to much except the silver city movie theatre.

We had a nice stay. The breakfast area could be improved a little as I stayed for 3 nights and all 4 breakfast mornings, there was nowhere to sit, it gets really busy with not a whole lot of place to eat so I ended up eating in the rental car. Depending what side of the hotel you are in, the building behind it hosts some kind of sports/events and it can get really loud, I thought someone was partying in the room above me.

My biggest concern was that the coffee that is served in the morning with the complimentary breakfast is just so weak. Like drinking warm water. No a good way to start the day.

breakfast could’ve been better more choices, more fresh fruit. Although standard.

The stay was nice. The breakfast selection was great, though I was hoping for a wider variety and better seating area. Overall, the staff were excellent!
