Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting the Rockies and it was a great base from which to explore the fabulous area. The rooms were comfortable and reasonable value in comparison to others I looked at during the booking process. My request to have a room with a walk in shower was dealt with promptly in the booking process and was perfect for the needs of my elderly mother. We ate once at the hotel in the evening and it was a delicious meal with friendly staff. The road directly outside the front of our hotel and our room was in the process of being upgraded and the noise from @7:15am was significant however this was clearly beyond the hotels control but did impact us to a small degree. Additionally the roadworks created heavy congestion around the area with roads shut randomly and detours in place. Parking at the hotel is limited and there are signs indicating it was for the pubs/hotel use, there were times it was a struggle to get parked but as the dining guests departed spaces became available. We would recommend the hotel to stay/eat however probably best to check with them in advance if the roadworks were completed if noise and congestion bother you.

I liked the Victorian English charm of the Inn. Very pleasant staff at the front desk. And the room rate was very affordable. The room was comfortable with nice touches, such as the tea table and electric fireplace. The parking in the back was a bit tight, especially when shared with patrons of the pub.

Cute old style inn with pub on main floor. Rooms were spacious and the staff was very accommodating. Inn was lovely for dinner and breakfast. Nice outdoor patio area at restaurant. Lots of amenities in the room including coffee and tea service with biscuits.

Lovely large clean room with great mattresses and a quaint atmosphere. On a cold evening it was nice to be able to simply head downstairs to the pub for a meal of chicken tikka masala. Lots of other good looking choices as well.

GTI is a hidden gem. It’s cost friendly and walking distance to several places to eat including Rocky Mountain bagel which is a must. The restaurant was closed due to a pipe burst, no fault of the hotel. The breakfast is delicious with an English breakfast option. They did have live music and I am glad they shut it down when they did because it was right below the room. It’s a great little hotel and you’re not paying huge mountain prices.

Great place and excellent dining at the Miner's Pub on site. Lot of construction closed the road to the inn. Parking at dinner time for the Pub is tricky since outsiders apparently use the hotel parking spaces.

Cute place but in need of some tlc. Mattress seems old and soft. Bathroom not especially clean. We left early and didn’t understand where to leave room keys. Cute bar and patio area. Overall not worth the expensive rate. Understand it’s a tourist spot and end of summer. Staff was friendly and helpful but would not stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Georgetown Inn and overall, it was a good experience in terms of location and comfort. However, cleanliness was a major issue that needs serious attention. The bathtub was dirty, the shelves were dusty, and the rubber bath mat was especially unpleasant—covered in hair and black marks. It took away from the otherwise nice stay. I hope management addresses the cleanliness standards because this place has great potential.

Hotel was roomy but tub was old and small, not clawfoot as shown in pics. Also discovered that ALL rooms are pet friendly which is not advertised. Asked for a non-pet room due to allergies but was told they were already occupied and that Expedia didn’t specify this request. How could they when we were not aware that all rooms could have had pets in them!! Then was told they would have to see who made their reservations first - which I absolutely hate when this is used as a response for not receiving a room that wasn’t what you thought you were booking. We were charged a night in advance and booked 4 months ahead, I highly doubt the other reservations were before ours as we booked at the end of June for the start of November, prior to ski season opening and after peak season! We were also informed that a “deep clean” was just done on our room, however the chair for desk was stained and there were obvious stains on carpet. Would never consider this as a 4 star hotel it was advertised as.

All the staff were excellent. Friendly, approachable and went out of their way to be helpful. The evening meals were delicious. The bedsheets were clean but stank of bleach, not nice to fall asleep to. The soaker tub in the room, was as white as could be, because the finish had been scrubbed off. What remained was a sandpaper surface that ground off patches of skin. The resulting pain and itch did not add to the visit. If you are planning to rent a soaker tub room, call the hotel and ask if they have refinished the tubs.

I’m genuinely shocked by the glowing reviews for the Georgetown Inn on Expedia. While I understand the hotel is meant to have a unique or quirky charm, there was nothing exceptional about my stay. The rooms were uncomfortably hot, and the noise from neighbouring rooms made it difficult to relax. The space itself is very small, with almost no counter space in the bathroom—or anywhere else, really—as a tea display mostly occupies the one desk. There were no power outlets or a lamp on one side of the bed, which was frustrating for charging devices. The toilet paper was rough, and the bed was so soft and unsupportive I was honestly surprised I could walk the next morning. Cleanliness was lacking—my pillowcases were stained, and there was hair on one of the “clean” bath towels. That said, the location is great—very walkable and close to everything. The attached pub was the highlight of the stay, with a great atmosphere and a wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately, those positives weren’t enough to outweigh the uncomfortable experience in the room itself. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Our stay was good, our room was huge and had a view of the mountains. Parking is easy and free which is great. They provided us with eveyrhing that we needed for the stay. Very clean room. The bathroom however needs some updates and the shower is very difficult to use. It was a stand up shower with no shelves at all - nowhere to put your shampoo, never mind if you wanted to shave your legs, too tight and awkward.

We stayed in room 215 for 2 nights and it was very good. But we returned to stay another night and was put in room 101. Room 101 location is bad if you don't like it noisy. You get all the noise from people traffic at at the front desk and the people coming and going to the restaurant and all people using the stairwell which goes over the room. I would suggest you ask for a different room if they want to put you in 101. Parking lot is tight especially if you have a larger vehicle.

We stayed in Canmore at The Georgetown Inn & Pub for our snowboarding trip to Sunshine Village. We stayed in room 207 which was super clean and cozy. The complimentary biscuits and tea serving set were a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable. The soaking tub was deep and clean. We loved the fireplace, too. Will def. stay there again! Also, the staff are super nice and honest - they found jewelry that I left behind and are shipping it to my residence in the States <3

It is a very old building. Facilities are out of date. There is even No microwave in the room. I would not make a reservation in the hotel any more. On the other hand, it is not cheap at all, not recommended.

Well, this place is quaint, but the $840 price tag for two nights is a bit steep. There was a full on stain on the rug in the middle of our room. A fire hazard right outside our suite door … A long ladder was propped up against the narrow corridor wall. The odours from the pub downstairs permeated the entire hotel. The front desk person, when we were checking in approached us saying “I haven’t started my shift yet, but I guess I’ll help you“. Then after we were checked in, they got in an argument with another colleague right in front of us. The king mattress in the ‘deluxe suite“ is a virtual hammock … it needs to be replaced. Staff were friendly and helpful but otherwise I don’t consider this good value. $840 for two nights in Canmore BC should be exceptional. Not mediocre.

We showed up very late to our check-in due to a delayed flight, and the staff was so wonderful with the directions. What could have been a stressful moment, was put to rest with a quick message from the hotel. The attention to detail with the posters in the hallway of movies filmed in the area and the hand written card in the room was so nice to see. We loved our room. So clean and quiet. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for such a great experience. Well hopefully be back soon!

This is a tough one for me. When I checked in I was very impressed with how welcoming and informative the staff were. The hotel had some old charm and my room at the end of the hall was well decorated and clean. What ended up happening during the night, however, was heater in the room ended up malfunctioning and making noise. It became impossible to sleep and there is no one at the front desk to deal with that kind of situation. Seems to me that overall it is a small, independent hotel that is doing what they can to survive and money is spent according to top priorities. The room price reflects this and I think that people take their chances to enjoy a better rate. Often it pays off. For me, this time, it did not. On the other hand, people also book based on a numerical rating of the property. So if I don’t provide an accurate review based on satisfaction with my stay, I’m letting others down. I’m sure that there is a solution to deal with this type of problem in the future and I wish the Georgetown Inn well.

We also enjoyed our breakfast at the pub and one of the best breakfasts during our two-week trip to the Rockies. We were also able to walk to downtown Canmore no problem. Would definitely recommend. Top notch!

Stayed 3 nights whilst visiting the Rockies and it was a great base from which to explore the fabulous area. The rooms were comfortable and reasonable value in comparison to others I looked at during the booking process. My request to have a room with a walk in shower was dealt with promptly in the booking process and was perfect for the needs of my elderly mother. We ate once at the hotel in the evening and it was a delicious meal with friendly staff. The road directly outside the front of our hotel and our room was in the process of being upgraded and the noise from @7:15am was significant however this was clearly beyond the hotels control but did impact us to a small degree. Additionally the roadworks created heavy congestion around the area with roads shut randomly and detours in place. Parking at the hotel is limited and there are signs indicating it was for the pubs/hotel use, there were times it was a struggle to get parked but as the dining guests departed spaces became available. We would recommend the hotel to stay/eat however probably best to check with them in advance if the roadworks were completed if noise and congestion bother you.

The staff here are really nice people, genuine. The restaurant staff are also fantastic, as is the food, the avocado toast is amazing, as are the parmesan fries, and of course they poor a perfect pint of Guinness. The room was great, slept like a log. All it was lacking was an exercise room, but the location more than made up for that. Canmore is fantastic, and staying here puts you walking distance from everything.

The Georgetown is a beautiful old inn, very comfortable and well decorated. There is a great restaurant conveniently located on the main floor. The Inn is walking distance to lots of shops and other restaurants. We will definitely return soon!

Good value for the money in a convenient location although there was major road construction around the property which was a bit noisy and dusty. Fantastic fish and chips in their restaurant with friendly wait staff made for a nice finish to a long day’s hikes. So glad we chose to stay in Canmore and not Banff as Banff appeared to be much more congested and crowded.

We stayed a night in one of the rooms with a king bed. It was a nice room and the location was great, we could easily walk into the downtown area. We also enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant the next day.

We loved our stay. The room was comfortable and the pub gave such relaxing vibes. My daughter had high praise for this hotel, which is saying a lot. I was so happy having a cozy and quiet feel just steps from downtown. Geat staff, too!

This is a quaint old pub/inn with a lot of character. Every room is different with antique charm. The service and staff were excellent. It was quiet and comfortable (AC unit a little noisy). We dined in the restaurant for breakfast and evening dinner. It was the best in town. Parking was free behind the inn.

Lovely large clean room with great mattresses and a quaint atmosphere. On a cold evening it was nice to be able to simply head downstairs to the pub for a meal of chicken tikka masala. Lots of other good looking choices as well.

GTI is a hidden gem. It’s cost friendly and walking distance to several places to eat including Rocky Mountain bagel which is a must. The restaurant was closed due to a pipe burst, no fault of the hotel. The breakfast is delicious with an English breakfast option. They did have live music and I am glad they shut it down when they did because it was right below the room. It’s a great little hotel and you’re not paying huge mountain prices.
