Was clean bathroom to small and pool heater was broken

When we first pulled up there was a trailer full of construction debris right in front of front door under canopy and no cars in parking lot. We were wondering if they were even open. Once inside the area to right had construction equipment and looked like a construction site. Front desk lady was very friendly though. Went to check out the pool and there was a ton of dirt/sand in bottom of pool under the water. Pool deck had a bunch of Libby furniture stored all around. Sign on pool door stated the building inspector ordered a stop work order. Out room while nice furniture and decor had spider webs in every corner, very ole tub with lots of chips out of the porcelain and hand prints all over the curtains. At breakfast, the juice machine was out of order and only had waffles, apples, yogurt and hard boiled eggs in a large container. Had we know there was no pool available and the place was under construction we would have stayed somewhere else.

Great staff ! This is not your typical super 8. The rooms are clean and quiet. They have a nice breakfast, the pool area is relaxing, and there is a fitness room. There are dining and entertainment options nearby. Overall it is ajust a good place to stay and relax.

Great stay with grandkids who loved the pool. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Smooth check in and check out. We stayed in King Suite with pull out bed. The room was HUGE with lots of room to play. Breakfast had fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, waffles and cereal. Kids loved the pool! Only complaint was pool dated and could have been cleaner.

The pool and first floor rooms were closed for renovations, but the elevator was working so no issues. The staff was very friendly and helpful in all aspects. The rooms could use some updating, but the bed was great, and the rooms were clean. Good value for the money.

Air conditioner barley worked. Had mice running around. Pool to crowded people in pool area were being un-safe . Parent's not doing anything about it.

I would have loved it to have a jacuzzi and for the pool water to be warmer, it was very cold..

Friendly staff, clean room and building. Love that they allow dogs for a small fee! Nice pool, just a little cold, and ceiling is peeling, also had so much chlorine that it burned our eyes. Breakfast could have more options. Overall, I’d stay again!

Floor was wet and room had horrible smell. Had dehumidifier that was so loud you couldn't watch tv. Had to empty humidifier myself every 6 hours and it still didnt help the smell. Housekeeping only came in the room one time to take the dehumidifier while we were gone. Did leave towels the one time they came in the room but that was the only time. We were there for 6 nights. The floors of the whole hotel were filthy curtains had holes in them and the garbage was over flowing.

Our room was awful, very dirty, con webs all over, dirty toilet, dirty towel hanging on the back of the door, main light to the room burnt out

The room had toiletries on the floor, room card was on the bed, beds were not made, entry and bathroom floor were sticky

3 night stay: Carpet was wet, fridge didn’t work, bathroom was dirty, pool had a lot of black sand in the bottom, pool cleaner was in the pool but not hooked up, garbages weren’t emptied. Staff was lovely but that was where the positives end.

Our room smelled of mildew, i& felt damp, mold on curtains, floors were sticky, carpet frayed & chunks missing next to tile, toilet moved & had water around it. Would have gone somewhere else if the other hotels weren't booked full

Staff was friendly, room was clean. BUT!!! There was severe moisture in our room and upon looking behind the curtains….mold was growing on the back of them. We were in room 215 middle of the building. Would be a nice place, but mold/moisture issue needs to be addressed asap!

The room was somewhat dirty. There was poop on the lid of the toilet near where you flush the toilet. The floor was dirty and hadn't been swept her mopped. There was even a few specks of dried mud behind the bathroom door which I had cleaned up with some toilet paper. I did report that to the front desk and they asked me if I wanted to move, but I had already went out and bought some disinfectant wipes and some Lysol to clean and disinfect around the room a little bit. It was obvious it looked like the bed had been changed or I definitely wouldn't have stayed in there. I had already put all my stuff in there and all I asked was, since I was going to a baby shower and I was going to be gone for over 4 hours which I was, I had asked if someone could bring me some fresh towels and sweep and mop the floor while I was gone. Upon my return, it didn't get done at all, no fresh towels and the floor was the same. There was even a housekeeper cleaning rooms while I was returning to my room, and I just wanted to lay down and take a nap. I had paid for two nights, and my key wouldn't work so I had to run back to the desk and have them fix the situation and I told them that it didn't get done and they said they would do it right now. The point is, I am a customer and I put in a a request about something that should have already been done while I was gone, and even before I got the room and it didn't get done at all. I'm very disappointed.

Dirty and musty

It was a place to sleep but this hotel is not something I would ever go back to or recommend. It’s dirty, moldy, and dark. It’s also under construction with multiple hazards. There are ZERO extras associated with the stay and the price was high for what it was. Disappointed.

The room was not clean and smelled bad. Stains on the comforter and chairs. The floor was not clean and was very dirty, There was old half eaten chip bag in the bedside drawer. Only good thing was the staff - they were friendly and polite.

Needs to be updated the first night we stayed on the 2 nd floor the bath tub had holes on the rim and the bed was so wet it was very humid in the room the first floor room was so much better and even felt cleaner but still quite humid in the room and the air conditioner was set on 65

Room smelled like cat urine

We stayed just for beds to sleep in overnight. Small bathroom

When we walked into the room it smelled like a damp basement. Bedding and carpet were all damp. Light bulb out over sink( nothing big and was fixed when told staff.) Water still in coffee maker. Staff did give us a bag to hang in our room for moisture, helped somewhat. Staff was kind. Breakfast was good.

I called for availability and pricing and the price on hotels.com was cheaper. The hotel was far from full but for some reason the attendant my gave me the room right next to the noisy elevator. The bed was as hard as floor with a blanket on it. The staff were loud starting at 7AM. I didn’t even mind the renovations going on, I just wanted sleep. It was a terrible night for sleep.

Liked location didn’t like need’s updating

There are a lot of food options in the area, convenient location off I-80, friendly staff. But the rooms are outdated, smelled old, the heating/cooling unit in our room did not work properly. It looks like they tried to update tile in the shower but the caulking job could have been done better by the school of the blind.

The WiFi was largely nonexistent. Fortunately, the WiFi at the hotel next door worked great.

Barely got any sleep! People in room above us (adult males) were running in room and jumping on bed ! Called down to the desk several times. The clerk on duty went up there to tell them to quit disturbing other guests… they did not stop and she had to call the police!

Staff is welcoming. Rooms are nice and have microwave and fridge. Bed is comfortable and clean. Good location near restaurants.

Poor service at Che in at 5:30 pm Staff in back socializing. When rang for service , NO greeting or interaction or eye contact. Staff continued social conversation with another employee leaving me 5 minutes to get his attention at desk.

The staff was great. They help with whatever you need. It’s no hassle, great time there.

I prepaid for a room on Expedia. This place charged me again but can't reimburse me because they don't see a charge. 4 weeks and still under investigation.

I thought i had booked a suite with a seperate room and a hot tub. Our room was just a regular 2 king bed room. Nobody checked our room the whole time we were there. We ran out of towels the 1st night, we called front desk and we were told they were out but were washing some and could bring some to our room when they were done. We never received more towels. We only had coffee in our room the 1st day, it was never replenished. We didn’t even have garbage cans in our room.

Did not know about an extra $50 charge. Stayed at another hotel same area two weekends prior for two nights no extra $50 charge.

2nd time I stayed at this location. 1st time the gentlemen who worked overnight was more than helpful. Above and beyond to make our stay amazing I think his name was Terrin. This time couldn't find a employee to checkin to my room, took a long period of time to get help from her. Overnight staff was not at all helpful either, I phoned the front desk to info them I would like a late check out. The remote did not adjust volume of tv either

Was surprised with the $50 extra charge. Did not receive that at a nearby hotel over memorial day weekend.

Decent place to relax and rest, close to lots of places to eat and things too do.

It is close to alot of things, but the street is set up in a way that makes it hard to enter and exit the parking lot of the property. The property could use more parking.

Nice place to stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast, close to anything you need. The rooms are nice.

It is quiet. Not a 5 star but it works for a cheaper few nights stay.

Conveniently located across the street from Prairie Meadows Casino, this hotel offers WiFi, a small pool, vending machines, and more. For my visit i didn’t use any of these offerings except the breakfast. Breakfast was a typical offering of oatmeal, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and cereal. Overall the breakfast was fine, but some hotels offer a hot breakfast option. The room was a good size, the bed the decent, and the room included a small kitchen area with a sink, microwave, and a mini fridge. The bathroom could use some repairs and the room had a slight musty smell. Overall it was a fine hotel and I would probably stay again if the price is right.

We had a very comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly. We happened to be there on the Classic car weekend. The only inconvenience was both nights we had no place to park. We had to park away from the hotel and walk a distance away. That was a very uncomfortable feeling because we got in both evenings very late.

I was visiting my daughter in college. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a hotel like before. I requested a safe location for my room in the hotel ahead of time . They accommodated me very well. The room was very clean . Great air conditioning. Very quiet. Old building but nice room. Great bathroom and shower. Would stay again for the great value.

The hotel is located across the street from the casino/ horse track, which is why we stayed at there. The rooms were small but clean. The rooms and property overall is outdated and in need of a remodel. The breakfast was bare bones and we passed eating there and went elsewhere.

Check in was quick, friendly staff. Room was a 2 queen suite. Had lots of room, bathroom & shower was very small. Tub had a crack on the side, water pressure was low, had hot water, no where to hang clothes up. Beds were ok. Breakfast was terrible. Staff kept saying machines were broke. There was little milk, no juice, few muffins. You could smell marijuana in the hall when we left. For the price we paid I would not stay here again.

The bathroom needs some TLC. The tub would not drain, Toilet was very slow on flushing. Breakfast was disappointing - All cold items or muffins No eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

I was charged an extra fee for having an animal which was not explained to me in Expedia. Plus they held a $50 deposit which I guess is normal. The only problem is I was refunded only $25 of the 50. Not understanding why. Also the breakfast was completely empty when I got there at 9:00 in the morning. Nothing left. Except coffee. Not to mention from what I heard it was a crappy array of food anyway. I will never stay at this place again. In fact on my return trip I'm going to pick my hotel without Expedia.

Breakfast was weak. Not a lot of options. The hotel smelled like curry. The whole second floor smelled like someone was cooking in the hall. The room itself was good and clean. Price was good.

Clean room, very happy with our stay. Free breakfast was mediocre. The only thing hot was the waffles. Coffee in room was nice
