Quality Inn Marshall near I-69

It was really nice having the pool and a hot tub available. However, there weren’t towels all the time and seating was sparse. I also would have liked for the pool be open longer than 10 PM but for adult adults only. Food options were great, kids loved them. Waffle batter was scarce and things weren’t refilled quickly.

Not maintained at all pool look awful cabinets in breakfast area broken. It was clean but not the right way at all

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Did not swim but the pool looked nice. Hot tub was under maintenance. Breakfast was okay, normal for a hotel breakfast.

This hotel was a decent price but was quite run down and the service was sub par at best. The room was very outdated and run down. The shower curtain rod was falling off of the wall. Breakfast was awful and my parents found a to go container of rotten food in the microwave of their room when searching for the cause of an “odd” smell. The pool was clean and quite warm which would be the only thing we really enjoyed.

This was a quite property in a nice town. The property had nice and helpful staff. The gym was kind of sad. It only had a treadmill, elliptical, exercise ball and a few dumbells. The 25lb dumbell did not even had a matcher. The breakfast was a little strange for my taste but did have cereal and waffles like most hotel breakfasts. The pool and hot tub wete nice, though clealry on the older side. Would come here again

At check in, found out there was no elevator and had us in a second floor room. This was a hardship as one of us has health issues and they couldn’t switch us to main floor. We had to drive around to gain access into our room to a non lit parking lot- not one light lit for safety. It was concerning to leave our vehicle there. Entering into the entrance hallway, it was evident we made a mistake in our hotel choice. The stairs had 70’s gold ripped up and badly stained carpeting. We went upstairs to the second floor to be met with more stained and old carpeting with a bunched up runners down the hallway. We had to navigate these multiple trip hazards with luggage. We entered our room to view filthy carpeting, unpleasant smell, and worn furniture ( one with an actual hole the size of a fist ) that was worse than you would see in a garage sale. We were aware some of the area hotels were sold out due to a local event and it was already late so we felt we had no option but to stay. The beds, upon checking, appeared clean and bug free. The one plus was the beds were comfortable. In the morning we noticed gnats flying around the bathroom. The stay provided breakfast but due to the condition of the hotel, we did no feel it was safe to eat or drink anything and stay for breakfast. We went to a restaurant down the highway. The condition of this hotel was not acceptable, especially for the price they charged. This was by far the worst accommodations we had stayed at for decades.

The pool an hot tub were amazing

No elevator to 2nd floor. Common areas were unsightly: multiple large black stains on stairway carpet; loose wrinkled (trip hazard) carpet in the halls. In the room, the base of the wood cabinet for the refrigerator was damaged making the unit difficult to open.

I was on the main floor. Kids kept running back and forth. Sounded like a heard of elephants. The light in the bathroom was flickering. It would trigger someone with Siemens. Our room safe was locked. I told the desk and they did nothing. The hot tub failed and was not available. They were always running out of towels in the pool. Would only put out 3 at a time. The room keys don’t work most of the time. The receptionist told us we have to scan it fast. We did but no luck. She came over and tried but it didn’t work for her either at the pool door. The breakfast was good. It took forever for the waffle batter to come out. After holding up the line I got half a waffle. It tasted good. Lots of room for improvement.

The property is showing its age with both furniture in rooms and cleanliness. The cabinet in our room looked like something ate the entire bottom of it, but I was told it was just old. Also the carpets were in need of cleaning or replacement.

Pool and Hot tub were nice, unfortunately there were three cockroaches in our room. They came out in the morning when we were leaving! One in the shower and two running across the floor. Luckily we were leaving. When we told the front desk they didn’t seem to care that much.

The lobby smelled really clean. Rooms were okay. It is an older hotel. There were two flies in my room. Lampshades were really dusty. Staff were very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was good. Had to warm it up in the microwave but that is not a big deal.

The hallways were very dirty and stained. The rooms were also not "terrible" but not very clean.

Couldn’t get Wi-Fi. Their answer was to call corporate. The room was dirty, stained bed, spread torn window shares big tear on the window screen floor stained and slightly damp room was humid. Requested a handicap room. I said they didn’t have any after I was told, I got one. Not a very good stay at all.

Housekeeping knocked on door at 935am. We had our do not disturb sign on and check out was at 11. We could not use our keys to get in the door close to our room. I am thankful for the up grade on room. But I am not impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the lighting. I paid 20$ for early check in and all lamps had dust, window had lots of bugs in it and had to have someone come clean it. Remote had tape on it. Phone had in proper room number. I was an executive housekeeping manager at a hotel. For the price and extra pay for early arrival, that I got I feel I paid to much for what I got.

One of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. Hotel was dirty, drain in shower was plugged, there was pubic hair all over the bathroom and the pillow smelled like someone just slept on it. I touched the desk area and my hand stuck to it. The breakfast was cold and tasted like it was from the day before.

Upgraded us free of charge to a king suite. Comforter was stained and ripped. Towels were stained. One of the lamps was missing a light bulb. Hallway walls were cracked and carpet had massive stains.

The desk clerk was the highlight. She was attentive and helpful. The property is run down, in desperate need of updating, and dirty. It was misrepresented on the Expedia website, and it is terribly overpriced. The lobby, stairs and hallway floors were dirty, including the carpet in my room. It appeared not to have been vacuumed. I would not have chosen this property had I known its real condition.

Needed a place to stay for the night and figured the $150 range would be ok, not great but ok and even with my low expectations I was surprised at how shabby this place was. The staff was nice and did allow me extra time to check out but the bed sheets and blankets were torn, stains on the wall, dirty fridge, dirty bathroom, clogged toilet, mold on chair and hallway carpets.

Room was outdated and hotel was very loud. Bathroom very small and old.

I left early and did not stay another few days because the room nexto mine had kids that would not be quite.

This hotel needs updating. We had asked for a 2 queen room on the first floor when we booked. When we arrived a week later there were none available had to take a king room right next to a stairway. Door handle to room did not work properly, ants were coming in from air conditioner which did not work and we slept in a damp too warm room. Pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was good.

If you enjoy a hotel with paper thin walls allowing you to hear EVERY movement of your neighbors, this is the place for you. From microwaves beeping, to toilets flushing ALL NIGHT LONG. As a bonus for the stay, you can sleep in the most uncomfortable bed around. I enjoy a hard mattress but this bed was like laying on a bumpy brink. It took hours of a heating pad and lots of Advil just to get the kinks out and the pain to subside. We were scheduled for two nights - and only stayed one. The hotel was good enough to reimburse us for the night we did not stay. We will not be returning and will shudder the next time a Quality Inn is an option. .

the room was clean and provided what we needed except for the noise in the room above us, they were noisy even after 11pm

Tv had terrible reception. Could hear people in room next to us. Had TV on all night .

The rooms were older but comfortable. We booked a 2 queen bed room and i know thoes beds are not queens they are full size. Breakfast was a joke, drink machine wasnt working so there wasnt anything to drink. Ran out of alot of food at 8 AM and my wife had to ask them to refill different areas with rude resoponses from staff, as if they didnt want to and save the food for the next day. The pool and hot tub were amazing though

The back door to the outside of the building would not close completely and lock. The door to the room was not square inside the frame. Had to push open the door. The is a hole in the carpet in front of the room window. The lamp shade by the bed was ripped. This is the worst hotel stay. Breakfast was potato salad and ham and cheese sandwiches with a hamburger bun. We will no longer stay at Quality Inn's.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Bathroom was very tiny. Door almost hits toilet and blocks sink when you enter.

The staff was wonderful. Very accomodating. Only issue I had was that we stayed 3 nights and no one came to refill coffee or towels, shampoo or made the beds. Maybe this is the new normal, but I was not aware. Still good value for money and you can tell effort is being put into the property.

We’ve been here before and loved it. But this time around not so much. There are people that stay here weekly and they have dogs that bark at the most inconvenient times. So recommend that you stay away from the weekly. The first shift front desk was horrible. My wife tried to talk to him he was to busy on his phone not the company phone to acknowledge her. But the second shift woman was very accommodating and helpful.

Our Girlfriend weekend to Marshall's Home Tour was great and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the Quality Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hot breakfast was excellent.

The first room we got had dirty towels in the bathroom and garbage in the room. I told the front desk person and she did change our room which was clean. Overall it was a good value,

Upon arrival I was asked if a free upgrade from 2 double beds to 1 king was fine because that is all they had available I said it was fine although not ideal. Entering room it smelled like weed no trash bag or hand soap, I had to go ask. Comforter had a stain so I also requested a new one. Extremely noisy it was the first room next to the lobby and all night I could hear people coming and going very hard to sleep in that room

Saturday morning breakfast at 9 am didn't have sausage or eggs served at all and no bananas were out. Table were dirty, the flavored creamer was out. The lady on duty was nice and refilled the creamer and was very pleasant. Sunday morning was a different story... Sausage and eggs were out but empty, no coffee and no flavored creamer. The lady at the counter was different and was just sitting there and when told about things being out she seemed startled and went to check the breakfast area. No more flavored creamer in the supply area, totally out. Will have to fill all 3 empty coffee carafes and make more eggs and sausage. This took more than 20 minutes. Rather than bring out at least one carafe of coffee, she made the food then brought out coffee. In the mean time the beligerant "manager on duty" told me to be quiet or he would call the police. One other guest and I were joking about how they must be roasting the beans to make the coffee... as to why it was taking so long to get a cup. He kept calling me Jennifer and saying he was well aware of my complaining yesterday. I advised him of my correct name and stated I did not make any complaints yesterday. Horrible experience that morning waiting for coffee and breakfast. I left and went to McDonalds where I received a great hot breakfast and flavored creamer and coffee!

the key cards did not work. the handicapped accessible wasn't-just a bar at the bathtub does not the room make handicapped accessible. the key card didn't work for the entry door either. I stay often at a choice hotel, but this was a dissappointment.

Great staff good breakfast

We initially were escorted to a room that had second hand smoke residual tif previously smoked room. I asked to be moved and Maggie the front desk person made it possible although they were pretty booked. She moved us to another and she transferred to a better room for the night on 8/2 -8/3 but still had some residual smell of pet urine on carpet. She moved us on Saturday 8/3 next day to a much better room 109 that was comfortable to sleep. The breakfast has spoiled milk that my husband and I brought to their attention on Saturday morning on 8/3 and they changed it to an unopened gallon but it still has sour taste. My husband and I recommended they look at the refrigerator temperature that may be spoiling the milk since the expiration date was not expired and suggested they look at the fridge. Both front desk people were polite and mentioned they would look into that and the next day on Sunday 8/4 they had a good gallon with expiration of 8/16 and milk wasn’t spoiled. Our house keeper Ashley was hospitable and brought in my soap and shampoo I forgot in the previous room and asked if we had fresh towels. The front desk associates are polite and courteous in making changes so overall our second day was much better.

Reasonably priced and close to the venue we were going to.

Easy check in and out. Close to location. Another guest had his truck running early morning by our window and distrubed our sleep but that was the worst of it all.

Hotel is located right next to a bank, gas station and several fast food places and sit down restaurants, perfectly located. The beds are small and uncomfortable but no big deal, we traveled with 3kids aging between 4-13 and they all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Hot tub is only 3ft which was perfect for our youngest toddler. He was able to touch the bottom without any help. The pool was heated which was nice. Breakfast was from 6:30-10 so perfect time! Overall the hotel wasn't bad, I would definitely recommend it or stay again if in the area

Location and cleanliness good

It was a great little hotel,super quiet, right down the road from the casino,and so nice,the woman that was at the front desk,and cleaning rooms and setting up brkfsr,and tearing it down,was amazing,I forgot her name,and I wanted to include her in my review,but cannot remember it,she was so sweet,so helpful,I brought my daughter to the pool,shes 10, I went to use the restroom,one right in the pool area, she was out there swimming, the lady came into the pool to check on her,saw she was by herself,she wasn't, but she came to check,I thought that was so incredible that she did that,she was cleaning and taking care of the breakfast, yet still checked on my daughter, I will be going back to battle creek soon,and I will definitely stay again,the only reason i gave it a 4 star not a 5 star,was because the hot tub couldn't be used,but for good reason,changing the filters,but other than that,I had no issues,I will stay again

Relax in the pool or the hot tub it was wonderful 7 miles from the casino a lot of cute shops in downtown Marshall!

Came in the lobby at 2 and was told quite rudely that there was no check in until 3. Both beds had stains on the bedding and the pillows. Free breakfast had to be eating inside of a very small space and all the tables were dirty.

Breakfast was poor. Food was not warm, coffee was out and juice dispenser yielded mostly water.

It was a roof over our head and bed to sleep in. Card keys had to be inserted multiple times to unlock. That was for the room door and outside doors for guests in the back. Shower rod had been mounted to wall multiple times and drooped bad enough the curtain wanted to not go shower wall to wall and water would end on floor. Some breakfast items, ie biscuits and gravy were cold and needed microwaved in the morning. The public hot tub was really nice and clean . Aside from a few things lacking proper fixing, it was clean and not in a bad part of town.

Even though this was an older property, it was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the location was very convenient. The only things missing from the usual continental breakfast were eggs and sausage or bacon. However there was a ham or turkey and cheese sandwich on a hamburger burn that when placed in the waffle maker for 30 seconds to a minute, was very tasty!
