Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort

No air conditioning for the building just portable ones. I room was 27 degrees when we got in. Stifling. Changed rooms and it was just the same. The makeshift air conditioner was a cut out in the sliding door which meant the door couldn’t open of close and all it would take was someone to push it through and come in. Plus wide open for bugs to come in. Apparently we are not the first to complain as to the lack of air conditioning but appears the owners done care to invest in proper air conditioning for the hotel. Yet they charge enough. Bathroom was stained and not well kept. Disappointing overall but the pool area was decent and the kids had fun

There was no complimentary bottled water + no drinking water fountain.

Good stay, close to the airport.

Typically I enjoy the Sandman with my family. But this past trip was terrible. I booked a King suite for extra space and comfort but I did not get that. The front desk should have told us that the AC was out and there was a mini AC unit that DID NOT cool down the room, so they added a small fan to "help" which it didnt. Then there were ants behind the couch, and 2 ceiling tiles open which one almost fell in our heads as we opened the cabinet to get dishes to eat. I made complaints to the front desk, they sent maintenance and he covered the tiles, then told me that the manager would get back to me with a resolution...which never happened. Checked out and talked to the front desk staff and they said the manager is not in today, but they had ALL day the day before to get back to me. And the desk offered me a free meal at Denny's....I paid a good amount for this room, I was half hoping for atleast some credit back...nope...I won't be staying here again. Also the hallways were God awful hot like they had a heater on 24/7, it was miserable.
