Very nice room. Hotel is HUGE, so for people with walking difficulties it is HARD to get around. 290 steps from pool to elevator! 60 steps from pool to change room. :( They gave us an upgrade which was kind. Nothing in the room to give information except QR codes. What about people like us who don’t have fancy phones and don’t DO QR codes? There should be some printed info in the room re room service, restaurant menus etc. There was only one kind of pillow, and it was too thick and fluffy to be comfortable sleeping - maybe they could also provide an alternative. Pool was nice although a bit shallow (.92 m) for swimming laps. Hot tub very nice. :)

No charging stations for EVs. Patron parking was inconvenient. All parking close to lobby reserved for restaurant/gym. No handicap parking. Horel is a maze of corridors due to add-ons. I'm handicapped and cannot walk great distances, and we were put farthest away from loɓby. Approximately 750+ metres.

The hotel smelled really musty and had a strong almost moldy odor walking through the halls. We have never smelled anything like this at a hotel before. We were concerned knowing we were supposed to stay for 5 nights. We got into the room and tried to push past the smell but shortly noticed a dirty pillow case. The pillow case was stained with dried blood. We immediately went to the desk and complained which the manager apologized and moved us to a penthouse room. Upon getting to the penthouse room we saw a huge spider on the ceiling and the shower had mold in it the shower and the room felt dirty. We didn’t want to stay in the hotel any longer and cancelled the rest of our stay and found a different hotel immediately.

We had a reservation at the Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel on August 6. Upon arriving late, I was extremely tired from traveling and went straight to bed. The next morning, I woke up to find a large stain in front of me that appeared to be blood. My companion and I were immediately shocked and deeply disturbed by the sight. The experience left me feeling nauseous throughout the day, not knowing what kind of unsanitary substance we might have been exposed to all night. I contacted the hotel and its management, but received no response.

The hotel is convenient to the airport, has onsite dining and parking - which is great. There is a small convenience and Starbucks on the premises. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning the rooms as there were cobwebs and a very large resident spider hanging in the room. The washroom was very clean though.

Room smelled musty and had a big wet spot on the carpet that didn’t dry throughout our stay (leak?). Big enough that it was hard to avoid stepping on it when walking to the bathroom. Mattress was comfortable enough but fitted sheets wouldn’t stay on the bed as they’d lost their elasticity. Decor is dated. Not a super pleasant place to stay. Avoided the room as much as possible. Frustrating given the price.

I just checked in around 4:45 pm today and unfortunately had a very poor experience with the front desk. The lady who helped me was extremely rude and impatient when I asked a simple question about the airport shuttle. She seemed eager to rush me out even though there was no one waiting behind me, and she didn’t even bother to tell me where my room was. I had to return to the desk to ask again, which was very frustrating. Thankfully, another staff member who was there was much nicer and helped me out. Still, my first impression of this hotel was really disappointing because of how unprofessional the first front desk staff member was.

Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable for a so-called four-star hotel. We’ve stayed at many hotels of the same level before — this is the first time we’ve ever encountered a place where housekeeping was only provided upon request, without any notice at check-in. We returned to find our room untouched, and when we approached the front desk for clarification, we were met with a rude, condescending attitude. No apology, no explanation — just an abrupt response telling us we “should have known” to ask. That is absolutely not how professional hospitality works. Clear communication is the bare minimum, and showing basic respect to paying guests is non-negotiable. This was not a communication issue — it was a complete failure in service and attitude. The room itself was fine, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness during the stay and the shockingly poor treatment we received from staff. We would never return and strongly urge others to avoid this hotel unless major changes are made.

The front desk associate Dennis was great. He took about 3-5 minutes to provide a detailed directory of the hotel plus provided information on restaurants that are on the premises. The housekeepers are warm and friendly; the room was very clean and spacious. Thank you for making my first time in Vancouver plus my birthday weekend a success 😊😊

Good place to stay if you want to be close to the airport. Shuttle was very handy. Uber ride to DT Vancouver is ~$40. Or you can take a $7 Uber to the nearest SkyTrain station and be downtown in 20 minutes for half the cost. Property is on this highway, which is also very convenient. Only downside to the property is also the proximity to the airport. Depending on how light of a sleeper you might be, those planes can keep you up as you can hear them taking off.

LOVED my stay here. It is slightly outside typical tourist areas and has less to do (location in Richmond not downtown Vancouver), but the hotel more than made up for this. Great staff, lots of amenities, and it was set up really well. Only thing that could use work, is that the room itself had some repairs to be done (ceiling had a section cracked off, tv mount loose etc). But the staff were extremely accommodating, and the room was nicely sized. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it!!

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities and a very good steak restaurant. Room was clean. Bathroom was well equipped. Only reason for not giving too marks were it was quite difficult to get to on public transport and the walk from nearest train station was a good 30 minutes. Also no usb points in the room meant it was difficult to charge phones. Staff helped by lending a plug in charger.
