It was being remodeled, but this was not mentioned when I reserved it. No pool, no continental breakfast, plastic construction sheeting hanging everywhere. No one behind the check in desk ever. You had to pick up a phone at the desk and dial 0 to call someone to check you in. I got a supposedly "remodeled" room. Construction dust in every corner. Nowhere to hang a towel. 5 channels on the tv and I got a sliver on the unfinished wood under my bathroom sink that wasn't complete. Pillows were yellow and stained. Mattress was yellow. Why didn't I leave? Of the 2 other hotels in Burlington . . .1 is where they give vouchers to the homeless, the other is so understaffed, they pick and choose when the are open for rooms available. I was hoping this was better. False hope.😠 The lady who did check me in was very polite . .. that was the one bright spot.

Pros: Rooms are sparse, but clean. Shower area is amazing! Pancake maker in the breakfast room was a huge win for my kids. Cons: No towel hooks (I dislike leaving wet towels on the floor) and not enough towels for the three people in my party. Also, my teens were disappointed about the pool being out of order, as that was the deciding factor for us when booking this hotel stay.

Room was updated and fine but rest of hotel was under construction, no pool, no breakfast (very limited) and staff was remote and had to call them to come to desk. No elevator. For the $200 price it was not really worth it.

I mainly travel for leisure and have stayed at 2 AmericInns. I will not be booking this hotel chain ever again. We ended up here because the other hotels in town were fully booked. We were highly overcharged for a 1 night stay. This location was under massive construction which I was unaware. The lobby, pool, dining room were all closed. The hallways were dirty from the construction traffic and dried paint was on the stairway carpeting. The room itself was big and minimally updated but it lacked towel racks/bars and could have been cleaner. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. We had to call the front desk for bath towels, soap and shampoo and were told to pick them up at the front desk; no room delivery. The towels are small and thin, so ask for extra if you decide to stay here. This may be a very nice motel after the contrstruction is complete, but I will not book an AmericInn ever again.

Great location and clean and comfortable rooms. Very disappointed that the pool was out of order the entire week. Also the website states a guest laundry. We were told that haven't had a guest laundry " in quite a while" even though there are plaques on their wall directing to a guest laundry. Most disappointing was there was no hot breakfast, as advertised. Also posted with an "out of order" sign. The place was comfortable and clean, but having all these amenities not available was disappointing to say the least. Website should be updated with this information, when not available. Some sort of refund/ compensation should be given for this. Having a pool/ laundry/breakfast were among the reasons we chose this hotel only to be disappointed

In middle of construction, rooms are okay, no pool, no continental breakfast, lots of dust every where. Staff was great and tried their best. I am sure it will be nice when finished but until then shouldn't charge full price when you can't even sit in lobby without being baked in dust

There was construction going on which was not mentioned prior to arriving. Our room was dusty, and bathroom was moldy. We also found multiple earwigs and spiders in our room. Pillows were trash and lumpy. We brought up the concerns to the front desk and were brushed off as the were fully booked. No discount or refund offered. Called customer care and was told it could be up to a week before I hear anything in regards to contacting me about my concern.

Didn’t bother to stay after seeing how filthy the room was. Room smelled horrible, dead bugs in the drawers, food debris found on the chairs and couch. Pictures made it seem nice but in reality it was horrible.

Property was easy to get to and in a convenient location. Room was ok not exactly clean, bedside lamp only had one bulb pulled the dresser out to see if it was plugged in and behind the dresser has never been cleaned. Bathroom door lock was broken and door was arranged in a way that there was no way to stand in the bathroom and close the door without being in the way of the closing door. Bed was super hard and lumpy.

Not many choices of places to stay in Burlington, WI but this place was a disaster. When we walked in our toilet had diarrhea just sitting in it. There was also stains on the comforter and it had a damp feeling to it. The lamp shades were also disgusting with stains. Overall I am not impressed whatsoever and highly suggest staying somewhere else even if the cost is higher.

We had a very nice, quiet stay. Room and hotel were recently remodeled and clean and in nice shape. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but they both looked good. Will stay there again when we come back to town.

We stayed here after a concert at nearby Alpine Valley. The room was quiet and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very convenient in the lobby. The staff was attentive and courteous. No complaints for the price.

Property is in the process of being renovated so the pool was closed which was not mentioned at time of booking. Our room was one of the new ones but it wasn't thoroughly cleaned - found a personal hygiene item on the floor and hair on the bathroom walls. Bathroom is small on the 2BR suite and the door wouldn't even close.

The bathroom door didn’t close properly. The bathroom was so small that we had to straddle the toilet to open the door to leave the bathroom. The property is obviously in the process of being remodeled, but frankly I couldn’t tell if the room had been remodeled yet. Stay away from this property. Waaaaay overpriced, but weren’t many choices in town.

Very small bathroom. Tiniest soap I’ve ever seen. Shampoo bottle appeared to be a half-used bottle they topped off with water. Terrible. My sisters room had no soap at all. Poor lighting by mirror to get ready. Holes in the window screen. Overpriced for what you get.

The staff were amazing and kind, the owners mom and dad are super friendly. If we had any issues they ensured it was handled quickly. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, the kids enjoyed the pool and whirlpool. I will definitely be returning to that location for future visits.

No physical person at check in and didn’t get a receipt as the printer wasn’t working. Also the entry of the hotel was dirty and people were gathered outside as well as inside (not guests). There was almost no food at breakfast and there weren’t many people there.

Our check in was OK. We were in town for a wedding so checked in a 3PM to change quickly. Upon pour return at 10pm, I had to use the bathroom. Went to reach for toilet paper and there was none. No back up role, NONE! I asked my girlfriend to give me the box of tissues. There was only 1 in the box! One!!! Called down to the office and there was no answer. Ended up using face towels to wipe my backside! I went down to the office and there was no one there. Called the operator number from the lobby with no answer. Walked around and found a cart in the lobby with toilet paper and took some. Expressed my displeasure the next morning and and all I got was, "Sorry about that!" I would never, EVER stay there again!! I have stayed at about a half dozen AmericInn's in the past and never once experienced anything like this. And to be told that no one is there after 10PM working is somewhat a security risk!!! There doors were not locked nor a room ley required to gain access. Just an open hotel!!

I made the choice to choose this hotel for my friend and his 2 kids because it was just 10 minutes from my house. It was a stressful experience checking in for the 2 night stay because I booked it through Expedia to save money. And when I decided to extend the reservation for an additional 2 nights again thru Expedia, it was another hassle. My friend was told he had to check out by 11am. I had to call the hotel and tell them I had proof that they were paid for another 2 nights in the same room. After my insistence they magically found the extended reservation. It was stressful for my friend and myself and totally unnecessary. Can’t really recommend staying there because of the communication issues. Very clean! Modren and rooms nice. Pool area well taken care of. clean, and nice! Staff was wonderful!!! We had been having a few unexpected this happen on our trip and when we got here the wonderful staff made us feel well taken care of and spoiled us which made our hard day better!!! The breakfast was great, and great strong coffee :). It was very quiet and relaxing outside and inside. The pricing surprised us in a good way compared to surrounding hotels so I have to say the stay was well worth it and more!!! Thank you for brightening our vacation!!!

The hotel is quite dated but if you need a place to stay and don’t want to pay the $75/day resort fees at or around lake Geneva, this place will be just fine. The lobby and pool area was very clean and the breakfast was decent. No complaints.

Property was easy to get to and in a convenient location. Room was ok not exactly clean, bedside lamp only had one bulb pulled the dresser out to see if it was plugged in and behind the dresser has never been cleaned. Bathroom door lock was broken and door was arranged in a way that there was no way to stand in the bathroom and close the door without being in the way of the closing door. Bed was super hard and lumpy.

I really just needed a room close to my daughters as we were leaving early in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised at this motel. I knew they revamped the place. My bathroom had a large beautiful walk in shower. The room was neat and clean. Pool is on the smaller size. Property is close to town but just outside.

It was being remodeled, but this was not mentioned when I reserved it. No pool, no continental breakfast, plastic construction sheeting hanging everywhere. No one behind the check in desk ever. You had to pick up a phone at the desk and dial 0 to call someone to check you in. I got a supposedly "remodeled" room. Construction dust in every corner. Nowhere to hang a towel. 5 channels on the tv and I got a sliver on the unfinished wood under my bathroom sink that wasn't complete. Pillows were yellow and stained. Mattress was yellow. Why didn't I leave? Of the 2 other hotels in Burlington . . .1 is where they give vouchers to the homeless, the other is so understaffed, they pick and choose when the are open for rooms available. The building is under remodeling. Pool closed, no breakfast, even though it says breakfast is included. No information about it provided when you book the place. Rooms are dirty and nasty. Our pillows had stains all over. Bathroom is so small that you can barely get in to it. The door did close all the way and no way to lock it. The foyer looks nowhere close to what they show on the pictures. I understand they are under remodeling. At least the should put a note on the page so people know about it when they book it and not be shocked when they check in. Absolutely unacceptable

Our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately, pool wasn't in service. But it is what it is. Breakfast was pleasant. Coffee was good. All breakfasts items were a 👍👍. Room was nice and clean. And shower was very relaxing with rainfall showerhead and nice and hot. All in all it was a good stay.

We were very disappointed to come into your hotel with the pool empty, no breakfast ( both included in your description...false advertizing!) There was construction mess on the stairs. The bed was comfy and we had a quiet nite, but to arruve after a long drive and fund a note saying "Sorry for the inconvenience..." we felt real disappointed with no amenetues.

Great location and clean and comfortable rooms. Very disappointed that the pool was out of order the entire week. Also the website states a guest laundry. We were told that haven't had a guest laundry " in quite a while" even though there are plaques on their wall directing to a guest laundry. Most disappointing was there was no hot breakfast, as advertised. Also posted with an "out of order" sign. The place was comfortable and clean, but having all these amenities not available was disappointing to say the least. Website should be updated with this information, when not available. Some sort of refund/ compensation should be given for this. Having a pool/ laundry/breakfast were among the reasons we chose this hotel only to be disappointed

However the website is deceiving cuz it shows that they have a pool and a spa which is a hot tub and it's just a pool. Also the beds at this place are hard as a rock. And the shower in the room at least that we were in is backwards so the hot water was cold water and the cold water was hot water needless to say I was quite surprised when I stepped into that shower!! So not a completely horrible place but in my opinion definitely not worth $230 a night
