This holiday inn location is so runs down. I arrived around 6pm and noticed tomato sauce on the floor in front of the elevator and on the floor of the elevator. I mentioned it to the clerk at the front desk and when I left the next day at 9am that same sauce was still on the floor. No one cleaned it. I did see a staff member walking around in pajama pants but she was busy with her cell phone so I mentioned it to the person at the front desk again who was different from the person the night before. The walls in the elevator are paneling and are seriously in need of repair. The elevator smells like mildew. The bedroom is also mildewy and run down. Disappointed as my family and I always stay at holiday inn express hotels. This one needs work.

This was not our first trip to this location - never been disappointed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The pool was closed during our stay. Breakfast had several options and was kept well stocked. We enjoy the wide open view from our hotel window when we stay. We plan to stay twice more in the coming month.

Location was good and price was OK, staff were friendly. But the hotel is pretty beat up: unrepaired damage in elevator, on walls in room, on shades, etc. The bathroom had not been adequately cleaned: there were hairs around the sink when I arrived. I stayed 2 nights, and housekeeping did not come in at all; I've never stayed anyplace where they didn't at least assume you wanted clean towels, your bed made, trash emptied, etc. Overall a pretty run-down, poorly cleaned place. (Later on the same trip I stayed at a Super 8, for half the price of this Holiday Inn. It was vastly cleaner and, though old, better maintained.)

The hotel has a terrible odor. As soon as I walked in it was noticeable. When I went to my room, the smell was still there and when I went to leave the next day, the odor was still there and especially in the lobby. I would describe it as mold and mildew. I frequently travel to this area and I won't be stay here again. Sorry.

We had an excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express in Canton, New York. The room was extremely large and clean. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of offerings. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel is modern and clean. Having a Refrigerator and microwave in the room was a bonus. Had difficulty watching TV since there is no channel guide in the room. The TV itself doesn’t have the ability to search and see what shows are available. Spacious rooms. Nice staff.

I specifically asked for a pet free room or at least one on the top floor (#3). We were given a room on the second floor. When we got off the elevator, the room direction signs did not include room 211-215. Read it sometime-you will see. The toilet lid is very loose-one has to be a contortionist to try and reach the toilet paper. That may be the reason for the loose lid!

The location near St. Lawrence University was the reason for staying. I did not like getting locked out of my room and then when I went back downstairs the attendant didn't even ask me my name to make sure I was actually staying there. Our room was not tidied up with clean towels, etc. It would be nice to have half n half along with the whole milk and artificial dairy options for the coffee in the lobby.

Fairly new facility. I forgot to request a handy cap room and front desk was able to accommodate me. Room had a refrigerator, a microwave & coffeemaker. Excellent accommodation. Full breakfast— pancakes, omelette, turkey sausage, regular sausage, Enlish muffins, bagels, Danish pastry, yogurt and much more. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Drain in the shower didn’t work. Asked for it to be fixed the morning of our first night. Still would drain the next day . Also ales if we could have 3 towels. First day it worked, got 4 next day we had 2 On our last night our key cards wouldn’t work. My husband went to the front desk and waited, no one showed up so he yelled towards the back. Still nothing, he yelled again, looked out front and out the back door and didn’t find anyone. He then called the hotel and no one answered. Rang until it wouldn’t ring anymore. After a couple minutes I tried calling. She finally picked up but my husband was still at the desk so I hung up. Husband was upset that we had to wait so long and with attitude she told my husband she was busy and had only been gone 5 minutes then said it was our fault the key card didn’t work because we deactivated them by having them near our cell phone of which neither of us had. As my husband said “That just put a bad taste in his mouth for Holiday Inn Express

Came here for a college parents weekend event. View of the St Lawrence from our room was wonderful. View of amazing sunset from the room and easy access to the water. Pet friendly atmosphere made this highly desirable! Staff so friendly. Will be returning.

I only stayed at the property one night, and came in after an event and left early the next morning. It was clean and quiet. Staff were helpful. There is a gas station/convenience store next door, and several other options for food right down the road. It worked out for a quick overnight trip.
