Quality Inn Corning

We choose this hotel as it was close to the Corning Museum of Glass. We also thought a swimming pool was a bonus. The pool was closed for maintenance. The front desk clerk offered to cancel and reimburse us but after a long day of driving we decided to stay anyway. If I had known the pool was closed I would have booked my hotel 15 minutes away and pay much less for the same type of hotel.

We had a great stay. The only problem we had was the lack of an elevator.

Pool was closed for maintenance the whole trip. No elevator. Our belongings were gone thru (the room hadn't been cleaned at our request -- so it wasn't incidental to that). The front desk staff was lovely about it and called the police immediately.

Nice hotel for the price. Plenty of parking. Outdoor patio. Pool was nice but a bit on cold side. Breakfast was good with lots of options including gluten free waffles.

The property was fine. The pool was small and dirty. Only 3 of the 5 machines in the fitness center were working. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was not working.

Icecream palor right next door. Pool and area was clean, great use of outdoor space, charcoal grill, gas grill and a gas fire pit on a nice little patio area. Breakfast was good.

Couldnt have the king suite i reserved because rhere was no elevator for my husband to use with his walker. Room needed work.

Parking was easy and close to attractions

3 night stay, pool out of service, NO ELEVATOR, poor breakfast with the same options each morning. Cleaning service carts left in hall at all times, limited daily room services.

This property is dated and could use a reno. It doesn’t have an elevator, which is a pain if you have to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. The free breakfast didn’t provide much in terms of choice or quantity.

Our room was clean and a good size. Parking was easy and convenient. It was about 4 minutes to the Gaffer District and 3 minutes to the Corning Museum of Glass. Beds were very comfortable, sheets soft, and bathroom clean. Breakfast is served until 10 am so we can sleep in. All in all, a really nice stay.

The room could have been cleaner. The towels were very thin. The mattress was uncomfortable. There was a terrible smell throughout the hotel. It didn’t smell like cleaning agents, more like mildew and stale smoke. Luckily, we were only there for one night.

The desk clerk was the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the hallway towards our room, 101, had a strong mildew odor. Upon opening the door, the smell was overwhelming. We obviously couldn't stay there, and we also knew that we could not cancel our stay. The entire hallway smelled of mildew. We left, and purchased several items to sanitize the room. After spraying the room with disinfectants and turning the air-conditioning on, we left again. The bathroom is another issue, the towels were so thin that you could see through them. The towels were a very dinghy light grey, instead of white. They should have been thrown out. The carpet in the room, obviously was filthy. When was the last inspection of this place? There was no place for us to stay, except this place. This the last time that we will stay at any Quality Inn. The stench was so bad, I cannot believe that no one else complained.

Their old window AC's have mold in them, and hazardous to people, especially with asthma. The carpeting in the hallways smells like urine as if it never was washed since it was installed. Customer service resolved the issue when we complained about the bed sheets having blood stains and yellow on the edges. The floor area around pool entrance has black mold. I would not recommend, we spent $125/night for all the sanitary issues we experienced.

Quiet area adjacent to neighborhood. Close to downtown Corning with lots of dining options. Staff was very accommodating. Clean room. Comfortable beds.

The room was dark as the bulbs were CFL type. The lamps were outdated with little wall switches. Bathroom light over sink did not work. Bathtub caulk had spots of black mold where tile and tub meet.

This property was in a perfect location for our weekend visit to Corning. The room was spotless, clean, and the bed was super comfy. The staff was so friendly! I will return to this hotel again. Highly recommend it…

Location great for visiting Corning Glass Museum, Rockwell Museum and Gaffer District. Poor parking lot lighting. Room needed a second chair ( We were 2 adults w/2 separate beds). Cracked bathroom sink, warped bathroom door, rusty bathroom door hinges). Apples were the only fresh fruit; bananas and oranges would have been appreciated.

We were on the 1st floor and were able to hear people walking around in the room above us.

Great one night stay while in Corning. Perfect location close to town. Warm breakfast included. The room was huge and properly equipped.

I stayed for two nights the room was spacious and quiet. It was very comfortable and it was a small getaway for myself. I would recommend the Quality inn for anyone's stay. My coworker also mentioned that her and her husband stay at the Quality inn when they go south on vacation.

Large clean rooms, quiet and handy to Corning tourist places but smallest bottle of shampoo not enough to wash hair, only two towels no hand towels. Whoever decided that four 24x24 inch pillows are sufficient for a king size bed needs to spend a week using them. King size beds need king size pillows. They were too small and very hard. Hard to sleep with these.

The room was outdated, but clean overall. A bit of rust on some fixtures, a bit of hard water stains on the showerhead, but the water comes out nice and hot for a nice shower. The staff was courteous, the breakfast was ok. Even though there were pictures of scrambled eggs on the wall in the breakfast area, no eggs were served that morning(it would have been nice). the breakfast was cereal, muffins, english muffins, bagels, toast, yogurts, assorted fruits, etc. not bad, but wouldnt have minded some eggs. the last problem were the people with heavy feet in the room above us. This was at 130-200 in the morning! The desk person did their best to confront the problem at that time, the room occupants eventually did go to bed. My wife and I usually stay at the Staybridge Suites while in Corning, but we tried to save some money this time around. I guess you get what you pay for.

No elevator. ice machine on 2nd floor didn’t work (lengthy walk to get ice), hair dryer didn’t work, coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been used in years, tiny pin like holes in solid curtain, outside smoke area dirty, chip in bathtub, very outdated. Hotel needs lots of work.

Staff was great. Helpful about dining selections. We had asked for a king room first floor and when that wasn’t available she found a room with 2 beds on the first floor. Room was comfortable. Liked walk-in shower The property was very nice. Close to the highway. Would stay again

The front desk person (Zack) was tremendously hospitable and courteous, knew a lot about area options for vistors, and was super-helpful when asked to assist with a very minor issue during our stay. He provided truly exceptional service and made our stay very pleasant. The room was perfect: clean, comfortable and everything worked properly.

Staff is Top Notch!

The room was comfortable and spacious, and the bedding was clean and fresh. The rest of the room looked 'tired'. When I arrived there was no one at check-in. I eventually left and came back an hour later. There was still no one to help me. At checkout time no one was around, either. I would have preferred to get the invoice prior to leaving.

The housekeeping staff was very rude. On my last day, I was needing 2 towels to shower before I check out. I saw the housekeeping staff in the hallway and asked for towels. She did not want to give me one and asked me to "wait for my turn." Explaining to her my urgency, she shoved one towel to me while murmuring words of discontentment. I asked why she was so rude but she continued murmuring complaints about too much workload etc. I asked for her name as I was going to complain to the manager, and she replied "I am the head of housekeeping." When I complained at the frontdesk, I was told the manager would call me. 3 days had passed but no one called. I complained to hotel.com customer service and was told to expect a call. It has been 10 days and I never received any call.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They worked hard and appeared to take pride in the hotel and their work. Although I only at in the breakfast area on two days, the area was always kept clean and spotless between breakfasts. They were very attentive to the food and watched over the area during the breakfast time. Everything was clean and they offered help however they could and asked me how my stay was going. The location is easy to get too and close to downtown Corning. Walking distance to a few things. I did not notice on the website when I was booking that there is NO ELEVATOR. I had a lot of items to transport to my room on a few occasions and had to go up a flight of stairs to do so. Very inconvenient and required several trips up and down the stairs hand carrying boxes, luggage and other items. There needs to be a hand railing on both sides of the stairs as well. There were a few maintenance issues in the room - the dresser drawer was broken, the toilet seat was broken and the water would pool in the tub when showering. When I brought these items to the hotel staff attention as I was leaving, she wrote each item down and said she would follow up. (It was my choice to mention the items while I was there as I did not want maintenance in my room while I was there and they were items I could deal with during my stay.)

The employee who checked us in was very helpful, informative, and all around great. He had a positive attitude assisted us with locations near by that we were interested in! Absolutely plan on coming back next year!

The staff was rude during check in. Rolling her eyes and scowling the whole time. Not communicating nicely. Awful. The room was not clean. The bedding was stained with blood or feces and when asked to get a new one even that was still not actually clean. The pool area is so small that they wouldnt allow for adults to sit in a chair while watching the kids swim. I asked and she said its a regulation. But it was so strange.

3 minutes drive to Corning glass museum, nice area to stay.

Easy to find hotel after exiting the highway. Friendly check in, lovely lady, very patient, warm, and helpful. Walking distance to the Glass Museum.Walking distance to Market Street with lots of dining and shopping. Or a quick drive. Wegman's grocery store nearby on the other side of the river.

This was the perfect place for a quick overnight stop for a multi day drive. Reasonable price for the area, 24 hr front desk, easy parking, and close to gas stations and the highway.

The pool was closed. The pillows are bad. About breakfast: the orange juice wasn't a juice, it was just a water with some colour. The gouh for pancakes was so liquidy, so your pancakes from the machine are too watery. But it was clean, and staff was nice

Breakfast is not good. I’d rather have one fresh bagel//muffin with butter than the factory produced low quality selection of tasteless items.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast included had gluten free options which was unexpected as a celiac but welcomed. They also had dairy free milk for coffee. As somebody with allergies having options and being able to take part in the breakfast was a great bonus to a good stay. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and beds comfortable

Though the property is a bit older, our room was great and extremely clean. The breakfast provided was the usual eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Staff very friendly. Location is convenient to downtown.

Only stayed one night but area hotel was in was nice. Hotel was clean, front desk was very nice, room was spotless. Continental breakfast offered, coffee, tea, waffles scrambled eggs and sausage (will add the eggs and sausage were cold), cereals, juices, bagels, English muffins overall very nice and clean
