King rm was huge . Entire hotel has had a makeover - very nice . NO hot tub but nice pool. Great location to stop route hwy- not much around hotel though

We stayed one night, 2 rooms. Rooms were clean, comfortable and updated. Check in was easy and quick. The morning breakfast was great, a nice selection of breakfast foods, coffee and teas. Would definitely stay here again. We also had a 36 foot horse trailer with us and had to park in their parking area for trailers, it was located next to the property, easy to get in and out and was maybe a 2 minute walk to the hotel.

The Hampton Inn. in Dobson is close to Shelton Winery. They provide free shuttle to the winery. As for the property itself, our room was very large, quiet, and they have a really nice hot breakfast where you can eat inside or outside on their patio. We really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the cookies in the lobby upon check in. Hot coffee in the lobby is always great. We took advantahe of the free shuttle to Shelton Vineyard and had dinner at The Harvest Grill, which was absolutely fantastic! Perfect stay while we were visiting and hiking the area.

The hotel was so nice! I loved the wine bar. The continental breakfast was top notch. It was a very comfortable stay and such a beautiful pet friendly hotel. There is no hot tub in the pool area. That has been removed. Hotels.com shows a pic of it but it’s not there anymore

Love love love this hotel. This was our second time staying here, and they've had some major updates since our last stay. Beautiful facelift they've gotten (though I think it was great before all the remodeling as well). I loved the addition of the wine bar they added and the patio with fireplaces is a great touch. We stay here so that we can have a quick easy drive to Shelton Vinyards...a must go if you're staying at the hotel. Great wine, beautiful vineyard, amazing restaurant. Though I will say, if you are traveling with kids and can't make the vineyard trip, you can also do wine tastings at the hotel as well as purchase all of the same wine from the vineyard right there in the lobby.

The room was very clean, though there were long dark hairs on bathroom floor. Also there was not any shampoo/conditioner in bottles in shower. Why not go back to mini bottles of soaps on bathroom sink. Only one of the 2 elevators were working and the one was very slow. Quicker to use stairs at end of hall and walk up and back to room. No juices for breakfast for kids. They dont drink coffee. Should have a back up for if machine gets broke. The grounds were very nice. Have a good day.

Very clean and staff was nice. Comfortable bed and adequate space in the room. Other guests were very noisy at 7a.m., but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Barking dog on our floor that would not cease, so I’d take this into consideration if you plan to stay here as they allow pets. My biggest complaint is that there is little to NO lighting in the bathroom mirror area. Poor design on the renovation. If they aren’t going to change out the light above the mirror, then at least put in lighted make up mirrors!

The only negative I have to say is upon arrival at 230ish we were trying to access the elevator for the fourth floor and a staff member occupied the elevator that opened. She had two carts full of bed linen. The issue we had was she appeared to be hanging out in the elevator listening to music on her phone. The probably we had was that each time we pressed the button for the elevator her door would open preventing us to access an unoccupied elevator to acces our floor. We eventually crammed into the staff elevator to proceed to our floor.

They would not honor my booking through Expedia. To make matters worse, I received notice of loss of my booking the morning of my trip, which I only saw as I was about to pull out of my driveway. I called Hampton Inn directly at that point, which they rudely and without any remorse confirmed. Note, I had provided my credit card ensure the booking.

Great staff and maintenance rep on our stay helped us when we needed a quick problem fixed. Oct 5th 2024 was our stay weekend-he and the staff on this weekend were so friendly and helpful. Hope they will be commended! Beautiful hotel and wine bar. Your wine bar bartender was so kind. Amazing service. Praying for her property in western NC. Maybe Shelton could help her.

A little pricey for the area, but convenient to the highway. Restaurant next door was good and walkable. Hotel is fresh and clean. Nice bar and sitting area. Breakfasthad a good selection . Beds are comfortable, but pillows are all very soft. No form pillows. Have stayed here a few times in the past. The renovations are very good. Great improvement.

Overall good stay for a couple nights while exploring fairly local towns & wineries. This Hilton property recently completed a very nice renovation. Express breakfast included in your rate. Bar along with featured Shelton wines since that winery is very close by. Nice outdoor area as well. Great choice for this area and not many other hotels in this immediate area.

Hotel was awesome.Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely horrendous. They had some disgusting yellow looking chicken sausage and fake egg omeletts covered in peppers. I guess they are trying to save money. Had to go to the local Bojangles.

Received an email 3 days before arrival that the property was being renovated and the pool was not available, nor the standard breakfast. Would have looked for another place, except cancellation policy was a refund only if cancelled 5 days before arrival. I mentioned that at check-in, and was told that since I booked through a third party, they were responsible for notifying us. But the email came from reservations at the Hampton.
