Great property to stay close to Syracuse. The bar at the property is super happening and was the highlight.

This is a beautiful hotel furnished entirely in craftsman style. It’s very comfortable, quiet, and serves a great breakfast. We had dinner at the hotels restaurant - it’s a first class steakhouse with terrific food and attentive service. We’ve eaten there many times and it’s always good. It’s great to just stay at the hotel so we could enjoy an extra glass of wine with desert!

Overall not worth the price. You're paying more because it's the only hotel in the FM area. I had a better complimentary breakfast the following week elsewhere nearby for about $75 less per night. Someone told me "youre paying because it's Stickley" but nothing in the rooms jumped out at me. Certain staff members were great, super friendly. Parking was a big issue as well when the restaurant was open. I did love the free laundry, was great for my extended stay.

Great place to stay. Well appointed room and stylish bathroom. Walked over to the bar and had a nice glass of wine and enjoyed the fire pit. Friendly people.

We've stayed as a family at the Craftsman Inn multiple times and continue to return for good reasons - the hotel is wonderful to stay at: friendly and professional staff, nice accommodations, comfortable beds, walkable area (restaurants, coffee, shopping), and not too far off the highway. Breakfast is simple, but includes usual waffle and cereal options, and has some gluten free / dairy free options. EV charging is in the back (looks like a simple Type 1, didn't use on this occasion but 4x spots were open). Highly recommend for those staying around Syracuse or just passing through.

Every thing was great except parking. Parking was difficult because it was limited at the time we arrived

The room was spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and well kept. However, the front entrance of the hotel was under construction and there was inadequate signage about how to actually enter the hotel. I had to walk around in the dark for several minutes before finally asking another guest in the parking lot how to find the entrance. They directed me to a side entrance with a tiny sign, that I never would have noticed on my own. Also, breakfast options were limited and disappointing, and the breaksfast area was not well staffed - one morning they ran out of coffee and there was no one around to re-fill it, another morning there were no napkins and again no one to ask for more. Finally, I was not offered the VIP benefits I was entitled to.

Very clean and comfy rooms, hospitable staff, and a good selection for a quick breakfast. I always look forward to staying at The Craftsman Inn!

Heads up to anyone checking in to this hotel: they don't automatically give you daily room service. You have to specifically ask for it. We found that out when we returned to the front desk and asked for towels, since the ones we used in the morning were still in a wet pile. "Did you ASK for room service?" was the response we got at the front desk before she went to get us a new supply. Otherwise, we did enjoy that the breakfast options included yogurt and fruit along with the usual assortment of pastries and waffles. Overall, the hotel seems tired, in need of an upgrade, and really overpriced.

Kimberly was absolutely lovely - very warm, helpful, and knowledgeable! She greets everyone with a smile and welcomes them into the hotel. Even late at night as we purchased items from the market, she was still bubbly and helpful. The room was average - could use a refresh. The paint is peeling off the bathroom walls, shower leaks, hallway carpets are dingy. The room was clean and the temperature was perfect. The gal who worked at the front desk overnight (she was there around 6am and gone by the time we checked in that evening) is incredibly rude and unprofessional. We arrived earlier than expected and came in to see if we could possibly pay for an additional night so that we could check in early around 6am. She was sitting outside in the rocking chairs instead of being present in the hotel. She never said hello or welcomed us in any way. She simply said how can I help you in the most uninviting way possible. As I explained that we wanted to pay the extra night so we could check in early, she cut me off and said you’ll have to pay for an extra night - we don’t do early checkins. I said I understand that - that is exactly what I’m asking to do. Then she informed me that we could not do that because there were no rooms with two queen beds available. That part is obviously not her fault or so we thought. We left and came back that evening around 5pm. We found out that there were in fact plenty of rooms available 12 hours ago, but at that point it didn’t really matter.

Very clean property

The Craftsman Inn offered a terrific property for our 3-night stay. The property offered strong breakfast options, a very usable fitness center, pleasant room decor and a very comfortable bed. Easy to rate this property very highly!

The place is very clean, well maintained and the beds were comfy! We would stay again!

Staff was friendly and helpful.Food at the restaurant onsite was delicious. I spent a little extra for this hotel when I was going to the State Fair to get someplace nice. The big turn off was how dirty the room was. Floor appeared not to have been vacuumed and there was hair in the shower.(Don’t want to elaborate on the type of hair).

I love this hotel and it’s location and will stay there again in December this year as we have the last 4 years. The lack of daily housekeeping is noticeable. I have no problem with this, but some heavy duty cleaning is needed about every three months. There is an obvious dust ring around the room where the vacuum is not reaching all the way to the wall and the molding is also dusty. Otherwise the room is clean

Comfortable room. Limited charging outlets. Outlets on desk only work if entry light is on. Others behind furniture. Breakfast was microwavable sausage/bacon egg biscuits along with some other cold items. Restaurant next door was good, though expensive.

Wow. This is a one star hotel and not worth $300-400 a night!!! I have stayed in $50/night hotels that were far far better! The WiFi does not work at this hotel at all. Went to desk and they said it must be your phones. Um no, everyone in our party had zero WiFi service. (And the region has terrible cell service.) Also we couldn’t get them to clean our room or give fresh towels! We asked twice AND left tag off our door for 3 1/2 days. No cleaning at all or towels despite us asking. There’s not enough parking. You can’t use the entrance due to construction. And poor signage telling you where to go to the side. It’s just not even an average level hotel, let alone a high end one worth so much money each night.

The room was clean and nicely appointed. Was on the first floor. The rooms are very loud and you can hear people above talking and walking around. Breakfast service was ok. Very disturbing that open items did not have serving utensils. People grabbing hard boiled eggs out with bare hands and yogurt and oatmeal toppings were bring your own spoon. Hate to think about that one. Check out was interesting with grouchy attendant almost yelling at me that he cannot provide receipt. Overall meh…

This property looks very nice from the outside, but it is extremely crowded, very noisy, and the rooms are actually quite dated, especially for the price. Parking can also be a challenge. It is good enough for a short stay, but the hotel is not luxury enough to spend $400+ per night.

I will make this review short and sweet. The Pros include, friendly staff, close to restaurants and stores. The Cons include annoying floor squeaking throughout the second floor, really bad when you go use the bathroom in the middle of the night, no microwave and the mini fridge didn't cool. I was there for 5 nights in room 217. Hopefully dome improvements can be done for future guests.

The walls and ceiling are paper thin you can hear people above you every time they move. Dogs barking and parking. Needs some work.

Nice, just noisy if you are near the elevator or front

The property is beautiful. Lobby is gorgeous. Only complaint is that the floors are too thin. I could hear the ppl above use moving around at 6 am. Not a very restful sleep.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Comfortable and quiet. Rooms are nice but small. Not quite as expected from the photos. Our room was very small (narrow space) and it was a bit run down. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, great service and food was good. Shopping plaza with dining nearby as well.

Staff was excellent. Checked in by text to make sure our needs were met.

The hotel and the room were ok. Check in was painful. We had to wait that they checked the room for readiness (even though it was 5:30 pm!) and then one of the hostess went and vacuum the room, so weird! So we had to wait a long time. Breakfast was terrible (all processed foods like if it was a chain). Bed and bathroom were good.

The front desk was able to get us a great room and an early check in for our autistic little one. 10/10. Very accommodating!

Wonderful place, great staff a real delight. We stayed only one night, but enjoyed it thoroughly. We arrived early but got checked in quickly with a free upgrade to a junior suite. Nice touch. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Did some errands and go to dinner. We came back to enjoy a nice cocktail in the inn's restaurant next door. Great bar and wished we had chosen to eat there instead. The restaurant looked great with a very rich and luxurious atmosphere. Had a very nice breakfast in the morning. Standard fair for a hotel, but everything was fresh and clean. My only complaint would be that the mattress really should have been replaced by now. A bit soft for my taste but this did not detract from a lovely stay.

Their craftsman-style decor is fun and attractive, and the staff is very helpful. After a small glitch with our room booking was discovered, we were upgraded to a lovely suite! We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely plan to stay at The Craftsman again next time we are in the area.

The lady at the front desk was very unprofessional complaining loudly about another guest in front of me. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and exemplary

Excellent customer service. Andrea checked us in. Jen was housekeeping manager. Kayla checked us out. All 3 of them were very welcoming, helpful, kind, & professional. We enjoyed our stay, & look forward to staying there again. Ty!

Comfortable, homey place to stay. Great location with easy access to restaurants (the attached restaurant was great) and shopping plaza is just across the street.

As always the room was very clean and comfortable. Only complaint for the whole stay was breakfast was terrible and the lady in charge of it was not very nice.

Always enjoy staying ! Onsite Restaurant and bar make it easy not to travel around. Nice outdoor patio.

The restaurant next door is great for dinner. I would not stay for “breakfast”, there’s no real food like eggs or anything. Just a basic continental offering.

The Craftsman is beautiful with amazing details like the mosaic tile in the bathroom that looks like a plaid rug! Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. We did not have a chance to eat in the adjoining restaurant but it looked extremely inviting. The one disappointment was the breakfast. The only offerings that were hot were a waffle machine and some packages of breakfast sandwiches to hear in a microwave. There were a few pastries and coffee. We ended up going out to get breakfast instead. I would still recommend staying here but know that breakfast will not be substantial.
