It’s a very beautiful place, but not done there is construction going on and it’s very loud. Only three restaurants not much to do with kids. The drive is one hour away from the airport without traffic. In my opinion this place is good for couples only.

The view from my room was beautiful! The room was perfect for a couple. I would give it a five stars rating if the bathroom didn’t smell like mold. I told the front desk; they said they would look into it; but nothing was done. In addition, the TV didn’t work on the third day that we were there. They could not fix it 😕 The construction noise started from 07am to 10 pm. There was only one road to get in and out of town. It was very very bumpy! Food was expensive at Las Catalinas and Tamarindo. But people were very kind and super friendly.

Amazing property…. Gorgeous location that is truly a hidden gem. Just wish they included more family activity options (plenty of things to pay extra for)…. But a basketball hoop with no basketball for example isn’t very helpful. More beach activities included in the price would’ve been great, although paying the $15pp for the beach club ended up being worth it for our group.

Las Catalinas is paradise. Our flat was beautifully with a covered rooftop terrance that was perfect for sunsets. The restaurants are great. The beach club with its pools, restauant, lounge areas and gym is worth the additional fee of $30 per person per day. We will be back.

Despite being a very nice project and condo , the condo itself was very poorly equipped in terms of plates , silverware etc. The tv in the main room wasn’t 2 hours after I checked out I got a text saying there were 2 towels missing and had to pay $80 My reply was that it’s too bad this is brought up after I left and that when I checked in a count of the towels in the place wasn’t made in front of me They kept texting over the weekend asking for payment for $80 after I spent thousands in my stay I paid the towels under protest and most likely won’t return to this place

We loved our stay in Las Catalinas! We stayed in a beautiful three-level, two-bedroom home with incredible views—sunsets from the balcony were unforgettable. The town itself is incredibly charming and totally walkable. Everything is thoughtfully designed, and it feels both upscale and relaxed. The only thing missing was a great boulangerie—while there is one in town, it was often nearly empty. A full boulangerie with more variety would be the perfect addition to this otherwise fantastic community.

I would like to file a complaint regarding my recent stay booked through Expedia. At no point during the booking process was it mentioned that there would be an additional charge to use the beach club. I was surprised upon arrival to find that this extra fee was required, which I consider a serious omission of important information by your platform. Furthermore, the service provided by the staff responsible for the beach club was extremely disappointing. We did not enjoy Las Catalinas at all. It’s very fake. Its a property development from US tech investor applying silicon valley crowd funding model to develop pastureland along the coast into a artificial portofino or Cartagena, which will never actually happen.The road in was terrible and the property managers should have alerted us prior to arrival. There is a chance that on the road from Playa Hermosa to Las Catalinas that a seasonal rover will flow and prevent getting through altogether. This was only mentioned after arrival. There was so much security it felt very uncomfortable. We literally had security lurking in the shadows who only identified themselves after I questioned them. One slept outside of our porch all night. Ot felt like we were in a narco stronghold and that so much security indicated something was going to happen any second. The accommodations were beautiful, but entirely fake. Las Catalinas is not an actual town. Its like visiting The Venetian or Paris in Las Vegas except it felt uncomfortable when security just followed you around everywhere. We spent the night and left the next day eventhough we had a whole week booked. We never got a text or email from any of the property managers about where we were, if we were ok and why we left without checking out. I made the point of telling them we were going on a roadtrip and would return in one day, but they didnt even care.

Construction begins at 7 am next door and is constant all day!! I went to the front desk and requested an upgrade or to cancel. They didn’t even call respond. They don’t clean the room amenities are not included and I had to go four time just to get towels. For $300 a night this place is a disaster!!! I hated staying here would never return under any circumstances.

Enjoyed our stay in this excellent one bedroom condo in a beautiful complex. Very short walk to Beach Club, beach and all restaurants (ate at 4 during our stay). Fantastic service from all staff throughout the visit. Also enjoyed happy hour drinks with panoramic view at Sentido Norte.
