Everything you want to do you must wait in line. The food is abundant but certainly not top shelf. The help is very courteous and helpful. The problem is in the management. They seem to have a lack of staff at the places like check-in, bars, and certain spots in the restaurants where it is obvious that they want the inconvenience to be great so people do not wait for the good food items like meat. The pools are full of kids. If you have children, this is a great place. If you are looking for a quiet more refined place, this isn't it.

La Fiesta is a very large resort. The large majority of guests are Spanish speaking so most activities are Spanish only. You can find an English speaker when you need one. We stayed in both the premium hotel and the timeshare areas and found both very nice. The all inclusive food gets pretty boring but the 3 specialty restaurants are nice.

Hotel itself had acceptable cleanliness and rooms were comfortable. The layout of the hotel was fine but minimal activities other than the pool. There were no amenities at the ocean. The food was terrible and we could not eat the buffet. Only the two speciality restaurants had reasonable food. The drinks were all watered down and had minimal alcohol. It seemed that this resort is for locals.

The resort is well-maintained with ongoing renovations in each building. The food at the three à la carte restaurants was excellent. The staff, including receptionists Miguel and Eduardo, as well as paramedics Max and Bryan, were very friendly and helpful. Every night, there are dancing and comedy shows suitable for all ages, though they are all in Spanish. Special thanks to the representative Bryan who ensured we understood and enjoyed the shows by translating between Spanish and English.

If you are going for a beach, choose a different resort. The beach is not meant for swimming. Shipping port is in view and the water is brown. Beach is not clean. The cool thing is the sand is black. I suggest getting the premium package. Other rooms are apparently run down and have no windows that open it balcony. We enjoyed the premium section. Had a balcony with partial ocean view. Room was clean and comfortable with lots of room. Food was plentiful and good. Large buffet that will satisfy mostly anyone's hunger pains! Entertainment is not the greatest. If you do not speak Spanish or have limited knowledge of the language, nothing is translated to French, English, or any other language. This is unfortunate but of course it is Latin America. There is lots to see in this country! Nature, beaches, historical sites, and the mountainous areas are beautiful! I am not sure I would return due to the fact of the beach. Customer service is at par for the most part. Transportation is very expensive so be prepared! The hotel does not offer airport transportation but they can help arrange it. It will cost anywhere between $120 $200 USD depending on your choice. Premium room is the way to go at this resort!!!

The property was decent. The rooms need an overhaul. They are old, and the water went out at one point. I will say where this resort thrived was its food. The buffet was fantastic & changed every night so you didn’t get tired of the menu (we stayed 9 days). The restaurants they had within the resort were also solid. We had a car which is certainly preferable as a tourist in Costa Rica. It’s very safe and I wasn’t met with one aggravated local. All love, and willingness to share their culture. The staff was also great. Very accommodating and friendly. The bar closes early and the adult bar also only allows you to order if you have seat, and all of the nights we stayed it was full… so if you don’t get there early you’ll likely be waiting. Overall great experience, I would definitely go back to Costa Rica, the resort was good value.

Staff was amazing, food was okay, outdoor areas were beautiful, room…not so much. Mold in a lot of areas, some lights didn’t work, phone didn’t work, hairdryer was broken and the tub was clogged. Not even close to “5 star hotel” status. Wait for a deal and don’t expect luxury and then it’s great!!

Dirty sheets , pillows smelled like sweat, cockroach in the room, smell of mildew. I got a room type inferior to the one I paid. Staff were very rude, food very limited, lots of carbs and very limited protein in the buffet and limited portions. Lots of rules so we were told no a lot of times. For the price range and the value you get it is not worth it. Will not come back.

The very first thing we dealt with was being told that, because they were missing the ages for our kids (somehow), it would cost an extra $100 per night. Luckily we were only staying one night. Otherwise that would have been quite the disaster. This felt like false advertising. Our room had no wifi signal at all. We asked the staff about this and they mostly just shrugged. Towels cost $20 (USD) each if you don't return them. We therefore had to guard our $80 worth of pool towels with our lives. The pools were pretty cool though. Costa Rica has been a blast with tons of great hotels, friendly people, and fun times, but this place was definitely the low point.

Staff is super friendly. Note - if you are from the US- you will be one of the only US citizens- this resort caters to locals so the language barrier is there. The rooms are very outdated and in need of a renovation so it appears dirty. The drawer fronts fell off, the closet door wouldn’t go on the track, fire alarm half missing- if fire occurred - we wouldn’t know- areas are rusty- due to the elements. If you just want to float in the pool all day- this place is for you. We wished that activities started earlier than 10 pm- but then again we wouldn’t understand the entertainment. We did participate in water aerobics- in Spanish but we could follow along.

Ive stayed here multiple times over the years and sadly this place is going downhill. The service is still good but the rooms are showing their age. No hot water and AC cools but not cold. Bathroom drain not secured, mold in the bathrooms... The weekend gets opened to the locals who i love but be aware its like being on a packed cruise. Not enough seating around the pools, long lines for food and drinks. So avoid the weekend at ALL costs! Now the good stuff are the shows, staff and some of the better restaurants. Keep in mind thats VIP or limited for the rest. It wont let me add pictures to show the concerns.

Hotel was ok theirs pros and cons. Pros: Property is clean everyone was nice and friendly. Food is AMAZING I was able to do the restaurants and buffet and they were all delicious and amazing. Drinks were ok as well had a big variety of drinks and were great. Cons: Rooms need a major update they smelled a bit moldy and were not cleaned well. Glass shower looked like it wasn't cleaned for months, sink had a brown stain in it, walls were cracked and peeling. I had no wifi in my room only out on property seems to be in and out and not very strong and consistent. Day and night time entertainment is extremely lacking.Hotel seems to host many locals as guests. Plus hotel is extremely far from excursions and activities.

Hotel was beautiful, I booked a king bed and a queen, but I received 2 queen beds instead, beds were very comfortable, room was clean, staff was friendly. CHECK IN process was incredibly awful, we had to wait long lines in the theatre instead of the regular front desk area... I paid to get in earlier, after I paid the guy told me I was gonna get my room key until 3pm, if he told me that to begin with I would definitely not had paid $30 x person to get in 2 hrs earlier.... i feel like there is a lack of communication 😕 we were premium, we didn\'t know what it meant, nobody expained anything regarding its benefits, we asked a lady by the pool, while walking where the nearest restaurant was and she told us that bc we were premium we could go to the restaurant in front of the pool but we had to make reservations, so we went back to the hotel to make reservations and they said that restaurant is booked for the next 2 nights, they said "why didn\'t you do the reservation during checkin?" I said well Nobody TOLD us! FOOD was delicious, only one day lunch was very plain, no salt or flavor, but other days it was very good. Drinks were ok, ofcoarse the quality of the alcohol is very cheap... night show was very fun, pools were beautiful 😍

I stayed here often when it was a Hilton property. It was perfect then. Now, I spent more time in lines waiting for something. Check in was slow and extremely hot. Staff was generally unfriendly and uncaring. Like they were doing me a favor. I did meet several workers who were good. The rest, not so good. In line to check in, in line for breakfast, in line at the only outside bar, in line for check out. And I’m paying for this. Understaffed.
I stayed here often when it was a Hilton property. It was perfect then. Now, I spent more time in lines waiting for something. Check in was slow and extremely hot. Staff was generally unfriendly and uncaring. Like they were doing me a favor. I did meet several workers who were good. The rest, not so good. In line to check in, in line for breakfast, in line at the only outside bar, in line for check out. And I’m paying for this. Understaffed.

Hotel Fiesta Resort Puntarenas is beautiful the pool, amenities, and maintenance are excellent. The bellmen and restaurant staff were very kind. However, reception service and food quality need improvement. I had to complain to get the ocean view room I booked, and communication (like making restaurant reservations) was inconvenient. Thankfully, Angie, the guest service manager, was amazing, she apologized for the issues and supported me through everything. Thanks to her, the experience was much better.

Thanks to expedia I got VIP access, however some members of the hotel staff were not nice at all, such as fernanda in front desk. And christian in the snacks both were rudes. In the other hand Elias, Shirley, Hellen did the difference, with excellent customer service and going beyond of expectations.

The grounds were beautiful but check-in was horrendous. Lines were very long. We were given keys that didn’t work 3 times and once we finally got into a room it had a full-sized bed that was hard as a board despite reserving a king room. It took another 45min to get the correct room, however once we did it was very nice & comfortable. The food & drink was just ok. The blandness, buffets & snack foods probably work well for kids. We realized we are not “all-inclusive” people. Would not stay again.

Everything in Costa Rica takes some driving time. Don’t let the 1:20min drive from the airport discourage you. Buffet food is okay. Restaurants are good. Try the tuna tartare. Area around the resort is busy and industrial. Don’t waste your time driving around for souvenirs. There are no shops. The gift shop has average to low prices. Ask for coupons at check in. 10% off helps when you buy everything at once. Airport has nice souvenirs if you don’t want to hassle during your trip, but it will probably be 20% higher. Buy your souvenirs during your excursions. Don’t forget your Yetis’s or Stanley’s, Bars fill them with drinks. Rooms are okay, but cleaned daily. Rent a car and explore. We traveled to Monteverde, Waterfalls, Jaco…at our own pace. Want to see monkeys, go to playa Manta. The entertainment at the resort is hilarious. They’re interactive and remember your name. Good stay....check in was good...no major language barrier....nothing against this hotel..but I would seriously suggest travelers stay in a regular/non resort hotel...you will save tons of $$...just my $0.02. Again, our stay here was good...but way too pricey...this is the only resort West of San Jose...in the Puntarenas area..I would also recommend staying on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica...East of San Jose...the beaches are white and the water is a vibrant blue...on the western side...(which is where this hotel is located)...the beaches are black and the water is dark...can't say I didn't like it...just not something I'm used too...this is caused by active volcanoes in the area....again...nice hotel...but I would look at other options....preferable on the Caribbean side of the county...incredible staff....

This failed expectations and was not as advertised. There was no opportunity for a night life as it had no true social bar. It had one bar that refuses to serve you unless you have a table to sit it and if there were no tables avaliable you wouldnt get served a drink. All alcoholic beverages tasted like water or fruit juice, badly made. The buffet restaurant served the same exact breakfast options everyday got boring. The food overall was not good and lacked any type of flavor. The hotel checkin process was in a hot theater that was very disorganized and they were doing it all by paper. Took a long time to get checked in. Outside of resort was dangerous, attempted to walk around at night and hotel guard told us to come back because we could get assaulted. The beach on the resort was disgusting and the water was not safe to go into. Had to drive an hour to another beach to be able to enjoy the ocean. They did do a good job at cleaning the property. Would not recommend staying here unless you rent a car.

If you are going for a beach, choose a different resort. The beach is not meant for swimming. Shipping port is in view and the water is brown. Beach is not clean. The cool thing is the sand is black. I suggest getting the premium package. Other rooms are apparently run down and have no windows that open it balcony. We enjoyed the premium section. Had a balcony with partial ocean view. Room was clean and comfortable with lots of room. Food was plentiful and good. Large buffet that will satisfy mostly anyone's hunger pains! Entertainment is not the greatest. If you do not speak Spanish or have limited knowledge of the language, nothing is translated to French, English, or any other language. This is unfortunate but of course it is Latin America. There is lots to see in this country! Nature, beaches, historical sites, and the mountainous areas are beautiful! I am not sure I would return due to the fact of the beach. Customer service is at par for the most part. Transportation is very expensive so be prepared! The hotel does not offer airport transportation but they can help arrange it. It will cost anywhere between $120 $200 USD depending on your choice. Premium room is the way to go at this resort!!!

The hotel is really old but well maintained, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The buffet have very limited options, there is limited activities and entertainment also, the drinks on all bars were really bad and the premium liquor is not good not international beer or liquor whatsoever. The Italian restaurant was really good, the food and service were excellent. If you’re use to five stars resorts service and amenities this one is not it.

Been to many all inclusive and this one was the worst I’ve been too. I’m easy to please and am not a picky eater but the food here was so bad. Only place open was the buffet, the definition of quantity over quality. Mostly cold and tasteless food, we ended up leaving the resort early to go find food because the buffet and beach bbq snack bar was so terrible. Property was in decent condition but is in a need of a remodel, felt old and neglected. Staff were mostly good, attentive but unmotivated and I can’t blame them

So far everything and everyone were good and friendly, I just didn’t get to know or I would like to have like paper with activities it would make it easier and it would upgrade at least my experience. I went several times to the hotel don’t take me wrong I like the hotel it just is by the second day is the same thing so with a manual or e list of activities it would be better for me. Also I only have one issue with the WiFi I was on my premium room and the WiFi was going on and off honestly it piss me off a few times, hopefully they fix that or do something with it. I will be looking forward for my next visit to hotel fiesta
