We loved Parador. I especially loved that there were adult only areas. For people who don't have kids, that is a very awesome bonus! Our view was incredible. The food at the restaurant was delicious! The monkey trail was a fun little trail to walk. We saw monkeys and sloths.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful resort. Rooms were very comfy with a nice ocean view and the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The customer service was excellent at all times. My kids really enjoyed the pool. There was also a games room for older kids and one for toddlers which was really nice. They offered a free shuttle to Manual Antonio park and you can also take a quick golf cart ride to the near by beach called playa Beisanz. The cart drops you off at the entrance of a trail leading to the beach and the trail is about 10 min walk. Beware that this resort is at the end of a very bumpy road with lots of potholes!

A nice family resort. We enjoyed the grounds which include (are included) mini golf, two large family pools, a game room and walking paths! We also took advantage of going (with golf cart ride) to a free local beach very close. I also did a spa package which was nice, my only complaint was at the spa there was a family? I could hear kids yelling during my spa treatment, not super relaxing, and the downstairs floors were soaked from kids jumping in and out of hot tub/pool. Other than that we enjoyed our three nights and would recommend. Also had a nice buffet style breakfast (included).

A 5 * hotel located close to Manual Antonio national park. It has open water views, a number of pools, and most special of all it's own forest trail. We saw more animals on that trail and around the hotel, then on a guided trip through the national park. It has several options for dining and nice breakfast buffet.

This is a beautiful property with spectacular views out across the Pacific. Some pools are reserved for adults which is nice. But our favorite feature was the nature trail on the premises that wound through the jungle down to views of the ocean. We saw a number of monkeys very close the trail as well as agoutis and a sloth.

The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant food and service was the best! The property was beautiful and well kept and I loved walking there Monkey Trail the mornings. The only thing I would change about this resort is the cost to use the washer and dryer. Both machines were $7.50 a load!

Exceptional service and hotel! Every person who worked there was incredibly happy, helpful, kind, and caring. The hotel was so well maintained, the animals and grounds were beautiful, the pools and rooms very clean, and the food was deliciously prepared. It felt like a true relaxing getaway to paradise. The staff went the extra mile to make it special and memorable.

Be aware! Although this property was beautiful, it doesn't make up for the stress and anxiety I've been going through since I stayed here in April. I reached out to management regarding my situation and how they handled it was beyond disappointing. They downplayed my situation and deflected instead of taking responsibility. People travel from all over the world here and it is common for them to be at hotels. Bed bugs bites effect everyone differently and some people get a reaction, while others don't get any. Sometimes it can take days up to a week for the bumps to show up on your skin. I unfortunately got a reaction. On the last night I was here I slept in shorts and this is where they attacked me all over my body. This was the only hotel my family and I stayed at on our trip and I was the unfortunate one to get a bad reaction. I checked our suitcases and did though cleaning to make sure we didn't have any travel back with us. I suffered from severe itchiness, hyperpigmentation and scaring. I have to wear long pants, and apply creams that I have to pay out of pocket for. I have pictures of the bed bug bites all over my body. Please be careful and inspect your hotel room. I don't want any one else to go through what I'm going through!!

Just came back from a 10-day stay at the Parador Hotel. Aside from occasional wi-fi connection issues, everything else was absolutely perfect. The hotel is beautiful and well-kept, the nature and the views are breathtaking, the staff is super professional and helpful and there’s plenty of wildlife to be seen directly from the hotel (much more than we’ve seen during the $$$ guided national park tour). There’s also a free hotel shuttle bus to Manuel Antonio that runs from 9am to 5pm. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable, the grounds were immaculate, and the amenities were great. My family and I had a lovely time. As a bonus, we had fun spotting the local wildlife! Yes, there were sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and macaws, among other cool animals.

This hotel is very loud and the management made some errors that resulted in an unpleasant stay. We had to wait for our room to be ready although the hotel was not nearly full, then it was changed to another room without explanation. The new room they gave us was right in front of workers putting in concrete and brick. We asked for a different room and were given one between a family with multiple rooms, who went back and forth between rooms all morning and night and made a ton of noise. Rooms are small, doors slam loudly here, and you can hear everyone’s conversations in the halls and balconies. It’s a beautiful place, but we did not enjoy our stay.

I absolutely loved this stay. The amenities were fantastic, service was great, and the resort grounds were lovely. The only con was that the room was dated and the “jungle view” was just a chain link fence with jungle behind it.

Everything was fantastic - we will definitely return. Food was good with nice menu options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And there are monkeys everywhere! Only thing that could be improved is the WiFi. The TVs work off their network and the connection was spotty the whole time.

The rooms were nice, views from the pool areas and restaurants were amazing, the Monkey Trail on the resort was unique and fun to walk, the food was good, the shuttle was very helpful since the roads and parking in the area were questionable. There was some construction going on while we were there which took away from some of the serenity of the resort, but they did upgrade our room towards the end of our stay so we would be further away from the noise. The WhatsApp communication was also very helpful.

Excellent grounds. Excellent food. If you’re driving, the last 2 km to get to resort will. Ore than test your skills. No Beach was a disappointment Biggest disappointed was although we booked and paid for a superior room six months prior to our stay we were given the lousiest room in the resort. Basically had to keep our curtains closed most of the time as we were facing a main path. We complained but we were told that the resort was fully booked, we therefore accepted to stay. Boy what a surprise we received two days later when we got to experience what fully booked really means for this resort. No more free pool chairs, fully booked restaurant, kids everywhere. Basically they lied about the report being fully booked, we had not ask for an upgrade but only for a different room in the same category. In all honesty I felt that having reserved with Expedia rather than directly with the hotel was not well received. Far from the VIP status we were expecting. In the end this was my experience however if beach is not high in your priorities it is a very nice resort.

I booked a Vista Suite and the view from this room made me feel like I truly escape from reality and into a jungle dreamscape. The staff were super friendly and willing to help if they see a guest needs to some assistance. The group hotel chat was super helpful to provide assistance. The pool was awesome and the bartender at the pool side bar was awesome! I want to go back

We had a fantastic stay with unbelievable service from everyone . Staff were very friendly and informative . Loved the QR code on the room key card that you could easily contact guest services. Only comment is the pool water was warm and not very refreshing . Would def recommend the hotel

The property is absolutely gorgeous. There were wonderful views and lots of wildlife. We stayed in a basic room and it was more than adequate. Some of the reception area staff were not nice and gave conflicting information about the free hotel shuttle. Most of the other staff were very nice though. Be aware if you want to explore the property there is a lot of inclines. Walking to and from the very nearby Biesanz beach was strenuous on the steep incline but very worth it. We saw so many monkeys and wildlife at the beach and on the trail. The meals at the onsite restaurant were good but pricey and service very slow.

Our stay at Hotel Parador was nothing short of amazing! The service was exceptional—they went above and beyond by surprising us with wine and chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. LIKED: Great location with beautiful views and well-maintained grounds. Hiking trail on property (but we weren't very lucky, only saw monkeys in the distance). Polite, prompt, friendly and efficient service. All our requests were handled quickly using WhatsApp link that the hotel provides to initiate requests. Clean pools with ample amount of pool lounges and umbrellas. La Fragata restaurant - great service, location, views, and ambiance. NOT SO MUCH: no a/c in public areas or restaurants, the closest beach was not as nice as advertised and it takes time to get to it( but the hotel does provides a shuttle part-way)

Nothing but good things to say about this property. Truly a first- class experience from start to end. The accommodations were amazing and the service was first rate. The one thing that really stood out (among many things) was the quality of the staff and their interest in getting to know the guests and to be of service. I hadn't told them that it was my partner's birthday while there and we got back to our room one evening we found a surprise birthday gift. That was an unexpected and very nuce touch. The property is beautiful and very well maintained What can I say, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this property and we woukd most definitely stay there again.

Poor service. Staff is not helpful. The hotel prefers direct booking over Expedia - they gave our room away, put us in a lower-rate room with a promise to refund us the difference, and then didn't process any credits. We did not feel welcome in this hotel.

Resort is excellent !! Breakfast, food, bar all good !! I booked this resort hoping that it is on the beach, but it is not and no direct beach access. To get to beach, shuttle can you take you 2 minute ride and then have to walk down on a steep downhill trail for 5 minutes. And then on return, need to walk back all the way uphill 5 plus 5 minutes on steep uphill. you can request shuttle if you have cell phone access to call.

The property is wonderful. It offers multiple pools and short walk to a beautiful beach. The ocean view is lovely especially the sunset (most beautiful sunset I have seen in my life). The hotel has its own Monkey Trail we’re we have seen 3 kinds of monkeys within steps from our hotel room. The location is a bit remote but the hotel offers a solid shuttle schedule to the nearest attractions in town.

Amazing stay at parador! Only problem was the road getting there was steep and broken. We drove so it made it so we didn’t feel motivated to leave the property. We usually love to venture out and explore but we stayed at the property unless we were doing an excursion. Food was overpriced at the restaurant. Staff was outstanding and go above and beyond every time. Room was lovely and comfy and grounds were amazing and teeming with wildlife. Very special place and road should be fixed soon. Will def go back!

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. My room was unexceptional and I expected better for the price. The location in Mario Antonio is private and secluded with excellent security. If traveling with young children and planning to stay put, it would work very well. If easy access to other areas, or to the public beach or park in Mario Antonio, is a priority then it's an inconvenience that needs to be planned for.

The property itself is beautiful. However, getting to most restaurants, the national park, or other places in town outside the property requires a car, taxi or use of the resort shuttle. The staff was incredibly helpful though in arranging for taxis or using the hotel shuttle to drop us off at restaurants on the way to their scheduled stops at the national park.

The entire staff was so kind and helpful especially Alberto at La Fragata Restaurant/Bar, Johanna from housekeeping kept our room so clean, Christian from El Galeon Restaurant, Stiven from the swim up bar to name a few And Elias the tour house was incredibly knowledgeable about all animals and vegetation in the area. He was nice to point out all the wildlife that were around the property including a momma sloth and her baby. The hotel grounds and amenities are great. There are is so much wildlife on hotel grounds and the hotel’s hiking trails. Location is great. Close to restaurants and shops. The beach near the hotel is nice and the hotel will take you in a golf cart and pick you up. The food at all restaurants in the hotel was great. The selection and quality of breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

The property was located on a mountain overlooking the ocean. The room was nice and the staff friendly. The food was terrible and quite pricey. There was at least one mistake with every order except for sushi dinning. For a $400.00 a night vista suite room the place was underwhelming and there were other properties which we would have been happier at.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we saw more mammals and birds than the Manual Antonio NP tour. The howler monkeys were outside of our room. Everyone shared the locations of the sloths on site every day. Lots of birds. Beautiful pools to cool off. We stayed in the villa with access to the adult pool. We love the view and had a great time. Only downside is the onsite restaurants are really lacking. They told us to make reservations for dinner and have the impression the food is good. The sushi restaurant was terrible. The main restaurant made decent snacks. We managed to get Uber (long wait and they cancelled frequently) and connected with a local taxi driver. We still think it’s a great property. Thank you.
