I stayed here with two of my friends for the last leg of our Costa Rica trip to celebrate my 40th birthday and cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We also had a gorgeous patio as well as a rooftop terrace, which was wonderful for enjoying coffee in the mornings and watching the macaws 🤗 Our personal concierge, Stephanie, was incredibly helpful and communicative during our stay. She checked in on us each day and helped to coordinate dinner reservations in town, taxi rides and even a private cooking class onsite for us at the hotel! ☺️ The hotel is beautifully positioned at the top of a hill, with excellent views of the ocean, and wildlife. We saw macaws everyday, as well as toucans and parakeets. I highly recommend taking the complimentary scarlet macaw tour on the property to learn more about the native wildlife. We saw three sloths on our tour, including a mom +baby! If you are visiting Manuel Antonio, I highly recommend booking your stay at Gaia!

Do not hesitate. The property is absolutely outstanding. Well appointed room, amazing bedding, extraordinarily helpful and pleasant staff, amazing views from the room, the restaurant, and the lounge (perfect for sunsets). Toucans, macaws, iguanas inhabit the property as well. Every concern is catered to. The highest possible recommendation!

Nice views. Terrible food, poor service in the dining areas. The reserve walk was nice, but not up to expectations. The shuttle only runs from 8-4. Not safe to walk anywhere but you can take a taxi into town for $10

My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was supposed to have an ocean view but really did not have even a partial ocean view. Aside from that everything was excellent, service was great, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were delicious, and the view from the pool was lovely. We had nice treatments from the spa as well. I enjoyed the birds on the property and especially appreciated the Scarlet macaw and rehabilitation program and reserve on the property.
