This Wyndham has a great buffet breakfast everyday. Has a DMS Fitness Center on property plus four pools heated to different comfortable temperatures. THis is as good as any all inclusive resort.

Excellent staff, super helpful and courteous. The hotel itself can use a facelift. The pool was clean the first few days of my arrival but disgusting by mid-week and wasn’t cleaned for the rest of my stay. Swim up bar lacked items from menu and the restaurants in the hotel were usually closed or didn’t have menu items either. However, there were restaurants within walking distance and Uber Eats is also in abundance. Travel in December is a beast from this location.

This hotel is outdated. The rooms are very simple. Good if you are only staying one night. The pools barely have seats and look deserted. The best part of this hotel is the gym! So well equipped!! Best hotel gym I’ve experienced.

We stayed at the Wyndham for two nights at the end of a tour in Costa Rica. It was clean, had nice pool area, gym and room. The beds were comfortable and it is close to the airport.

Excellent breakfast. I did not give five stars because the property was very dated and the airport shuttle was a disaster. We were not told it needed to be ordered at least an hour in advance, so they did not accommodate us. They tried to say it only runs once a day at 12:30. This is something that should be explained during check in.

I was not helped at entrance with my luggage, I was looking for a place to unwind and relax before my trip back home and I didnt get that here due to no hot water in room and hot tubs not working, the children did not want to use the pool water

Property grounds are beautiful and pools great. Old hotel. Interior needs many upgrades like carpets, painting and upgraded bathrooms. Lobby nice. Restaurants on site not good but some great options are waljable. It stated free shuttle which is one reason we booked but only runs starting at 5 am. We had to leave at 3 pm so had to pay for transportation.

It was absolutely awful. Our room was FILLED with over 15 cockroachs. We had to switch rooms and even the new room was nasty. We did not get to bed until 2am because of this when we had to get up at 5 to catch our flight. I will never stay with you guys again.

If you’re just looking for a comfortable bed and a hot shower for the night, keep looking. Honestly there was nothing impressive about this hotel at all. I’m sure it was lovely in the 80’s when it was last updated. But in 2025, this place is run down and gross. Everything is stained. The carpets, the couches, the chairs, the bedding, the walls, the tables. The lamps are covered in a film of grime. I didnt even want to walk around the room without shoes on because the carpet was so gross. The bathroom was gross. Everything was broken. The shower head was so pathetic, I could hardly wash the soap off my body. Not to mention the water never got above room temp. The food from the restaurant was gross. They forgot to bring one of the two things I ordered to room service. In addition to that, the shuttle from the airport left without me twice, making me have to pay for a taxi. Honestly this was all horrible and I wish I had just paid extra to stay at the Hyatt by the airport. That being said, the staff were all lovely. The property itself is the only thing I took issue with.

The hotel staff was kind and there were options on-site to book excursions, souvenir shop, casino and restaurant. The breakfast was buffet style and it was tasty and filling. The room we got was not very clean. There was a big yellow stain on our sheets. The shower head has a lot of corrosion. The hallway ceilings had A LOT water damage and the pools were filthy. I understand being surrounded by a lot of nature that the pool would have some leaves and insects in it but it was beyond filled with this and no one ever cleaned it. Overall, it was easy to catch Ubers here and close to the airport.

This hotel is very old with dirty carpeting throughout, my shower did not work at all and I had to wash my hair under a tap. The breakfast food was lukewarm and not good quality. The staff was friendly but not very helpful.

For room 1126c The carpet in the room was ripped, dirty and in bad condition, due to the age, there is definitely a smell coming from it. The bathroom needs to be updated, there is chipped paint, areas that are showing mold and the shower head as well as the bathroom hardware in the room has not been cleaned or cared for. The shower was spraying everywhere before making and adjustment and was leaking something blue down in to the tub.

The restaurant at the hotel was horrible. I waited 40 minutes for a raw pizza and then left and went to the casino for lunch… I travel to the Amazon and to the rainforest of Costa Rica and never had any infestation until I stayed at this hotel and there was bed bugs in my bed. I woke up with bites for two days I would not ever stay at this place.!!!

My room was poorly maintained, walls, molding, and floors, I could not sleep in the bed, even though bedding was clean, the room smelled like mold. The bathtub was poorly maintained. The couch was old, only good to put my luggage on. I imagine they have updated rooms, but mine was not, very disappointing for the price. The employees were very nice.

The room was spacious with a nice desk for work. Furniture was slightly damaged and the room and hall carpets were worn. There was no daily service to the room (I was only there for one full day), and there was no hot water. Staff was very friendly and helpful and printed out a document for me. Breakfast was good. There is an excellent gym.

The hotel is old and very dated. I understand you get what you pay for but I am surprised by the ratings this place received. I don’t think any updates have been done in thirty+ years. The mattress was like sleeping on a box spring. On a positive the staff was friendly.

If you offer shuttle service from & to the airport then you should provide that with a good quality of service. I waited for the shuttle with 6 other passengers until 10:10 PM when the last pick-up of the night was 9.45 PM. The van never came. I called the hotel between 8:30 PM and 10:10 PM 26 times initially to confirm the pick which I reserved 3PM of the day FEB 4. NOBODY to answer the phone. When I reached the hotel by taxi after paying 25 dollars for a 10-minute ride, I found the two employees at the front among laughs and a good talk still not answering the phone. Before I got to reception I tried one more just to be fair. I heard the phone ringing and they still did not pick up. To make matters worse, they told me that the van was there at 9:45 PM, which was a tremendous lie. Poor service, and they don't care. AVOID this hotel

I couldn't find an open restaurant, the bartender was never in the bar. When he did finally come to the bar, I ordered a drink and some chicken wings. He warned me. It might take a little longer than normal because they were having a poker tournament. I said that's fine. I finished my drink and it had been a half hour I still hadn't seen the bartender come back. I had to go out to the lobby and ask him to find the bartender. I asked the bartender if they were almost ready and he said I'm not sure so I said well I would like to go up to my room and he said yes you can go to your room and we will call you when they're ready as soon as I walked in the door to my room, they called me and said they were ready. I'm not happy about the service in the bar. I'm not happy about the restaurant and when I asked for the airline shuttle, they told me that it doesn't start till 5 o'clock unless I wanna pay $25 so I should call an Uber.

Not one person ever tried to help me with my bags, airport shuttle outside of scheduled hours is 4 times the cost of an uber. I was told there would be a shuttle to the airport at 11am, and that following day the shuttle was at 1230 and they refused to take me. Ended up paying for an uber. Lost power and water for almost a full day..not the greatest experience.

The check in was fine. Friendly helpful staff. The condition of property depends on which building you’re in. Building 5 very run down. I had a problem with the shuttle not showing up at domestic airport. Booked and confirmed - no show.

We got a great member deal to stay here near airport. The room was fine, some other areas a bit dated but excellent value for money. Staff in restaurant was very helpful. Only issue was hotel shuttle which it seems you have to reserve which we didn’t know in advance. We ubered there as otherwise had to wait 2 hours for the shuttle.

We took this hotel just for one night to catch an internal flight in Costa Rica. Hotel is clean, well located near airport, friendly registration. Only one thing for traveller; shuttle to airport only runs at the hour, from 5h00 to 21h45 PM, so if outside of that you will need to take a taxi. Also they want you to reserve shuttle 24 hours in advance.

Being nocturnal and a late diner ; it is great find a hotel that serves late night dining until 3 AM. The benefit afforded by a Casino that ‘s open also where you will find the full menu ( with exceptions) from the Pirate’s restaurant.

Convenient location to airport. Great having few car rental companies on site foe drop off. Restaurants and bars not open at various times of day. No ice machines could be found, although lots of signs. Pools were nice, but extra chairs and umbrellas are needed.

The customer service was poor, our room was dirty and paint was peeling from the walls in our room. Property was in poor condition. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was a poor experience. I got sick from the food, which we waited over 45 minutes for after ordering. The woman working in the gift shop, however, was a shining star. She was the saving grace of our stay....very friendly, helpful and customer-focused. Sadly I woukd not stay here again nor recommend this property.

It was good. The room was clean, the hotel staff was are friendly and are willing to help. Wonderful mountain view every morning my wife and I awoke for the day. Quiet hotel. I recommend Pirates Bar and Restaurant and also the sea bass at Quattro next door.

Check in was good, informative and polite. Hotel is fine for a night before flying home but i'd not want to stay longer. Its in much need of updating. Room was not overly clean, especially bathroom. Furnishings dirty and stained. My room was next door to the breakfast restaurant as well so was very noisy from 6am. Breakfast had a good choice though. Pools were nice, an average stay.
