I didn't like the parking rate. It was very high. Ialso didn't like the destination passport. It made no sense since they gave us credit for the same amount to use for food and beverage. It's their way of making you spend 3-4 times as much for dining on the premises.

Very nice property and food was good. Would have been nice if they had a actual restaurant on the property instead of just the bar. Spa was great nice hard jets and I liked it being up on the 3rd floor instead of the street level

Rather disappointed. Initially given room that wasn’t in service. Nothing in it worked and it wasn’t ready for guests. The next room we were given was nice but a floor above the pool and music played until after midnight and then started before 8 am which made it very difficult to sleep. Also when I went to check out, it there was only one person at the desk and after 10 minutes of waiting for her to get off the phone, I finally had to just walk away. Considering I was standing in front of her, she could have put the person on the phone on hold for the 30 seconds it would take for me to say the room I was checking out of.

Beautifully redecorated hotel. Everything is light, fresh, and gorgeous. The service was excellent, the room clean and well appointed and location was perfect for a weekend in Long Beach. This hotel set a new standard for a 10/10

Nice refurbished room, pretty clean and comfy. The shower sometimes had a little bit of a sewage smell to it but it was barely noticeable. What I didn't like is that, I think it is overpriced for the area. On top of the regular rate, they charge 40 for parking and 30 "destination fee". Those 30 they say you can use for food on the premises but still, what if I don't want to eat there at all. Or if I do, then I have to use 30 dollars on overpriced products from the store? The staff didn't care to tell me this when I checked in so that's why I give it just 2 out of 5 star on the staff area. I just realized I "lost" $120 when I checked out and got the receipt.

First time in Long Beach I was scared we would be in a sketchy area but it was so nice! Youre in the center of everything. Pretty much walking distance if you cared too. It clean.. other than a few things like seeing hair in the room or the cups in the room with residue in it... parking wasnt bad as what ive been seen in the reviews you get a discount staying at the hotel, give them the parking pass and you can get in and out with the card. More like $25-27.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was ready upon arrival. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The location is also perfectly centered in downtown Long Beach with the Pike, bars, and tins of restaurants within walking distance. I will be staying here again.

Staff wasn’t friendly or attentive, towels and pillowcases smelled bad (even “fresh” ones), valet was nowhere to be found, and elevator security didn’t work. Worst part—was told late checkout to 12:30pm was complimentary, but got charged $30 anyway, plus extra fees on top of my $870 booking total. Not about the money—it’s the shady practice. I’ll stay across the street at the Fairmont next time. Worth every extra dollar compared to this experience.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only downfall was the traffic outside. There was someone on a mortorcycle driving around with loud pipes and loud music. We did not get to sleep until after midnight.

My room was super large & comfortable, AC worked GREAT. Robert, the bartender & server downstairs at lobby bar took care of me all weekend and had the BEST customer service skills, really made sure I was happy for my beverages & food. Definitely coming back.

This is our 4th or 5th time staying at the hotel, previously the Renaissance. Start off by saying all staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. We checked in on a Friday and were surprised when our room was not ready as it’s always been ready or available for early check in around 12-1pm and the room was not ready until 4:30pm, 30 minutes late but not a big deal. When we got to the room (Junior Suite) I set the thermostat to 65 degrees too cool it off and after dinner we came back to a room it was 72 degrees. We were pretty much unable to get a good nights sleep because of this, I advised the hotel on night 2 and they sent an engineer in to set the thermostat to 60 degrees this did not change a thing, room sat at 72 degrees and by the time we checked out on day 2 it was now 75 degrees. This was the worst sleep we have gotten at a hotel purely due to room temperature. The room pricing was not bad but the food and drink pricing was a simple margarita and espresso martini ran us $52, and a chicken sandwich was $26 very expensive for a simple sandwich, the Red Bulls in their personal market were $7 each, double the normal price.

Staff wasn't what you would expect when you pay $400 for 1 night. Our toilet as soon as we got in the room was clogged and overflowed all over the bathroom floor on the first flush. The view from our room was of an old ugly building that looked abandoned. The Hyatt Regency is definitely a better hotel for similar rate. We stayed there last time

Sold our tool to someone else so they moved us to another hotel. We had a king with Marriott and they sent us to a room with 2 full beds. Not happy about this at all. Just because we used a 3rd party vendor to book our room

Check-in desk lady was unhelpful and unfriendly. Club snacks not good, selection was very limited and Club facility was completely empty most of the time. Dazed sad homeless people staggering around every time we went outside the hotel. Very disconcerting. Hotel was newly renovated. The breakfast time employee looking after The Club room did a good job. We will not return.

The stay was ok, and it’s not the hotel’s fault we got a strong marijuana smell coming in our room the first night of the stay. The resort fee and credit of food and drinks was disappointing since we checked in late evening Friday night and checked out early Sunday morning, on top of an expensive overnight parking rate. The bar was very slow to get our food to go, and then ran out of the food we had ordered. I would look at a different property in a different part of town if we ever return to Long Beach.
