Kahana Beach Vacation Club

Hello, Yes - the hot tub was not working for 4/5 nights we were there. The outside gas grilled stopped working - was only able to use them 1/5 nights - igniter was not working properly. I notified the front desk 2x about these issues/concerns. We should have received a discount or credit for these issues. The company charged us resort fees, but the property was not up to standard. Also, seems like non-residents are using the amenities of the property - they should crack down on non-residents using the amenities.

Great value resort. Beach is right in front of you, only gripe would be parking was a bit crowded. Most nights had to find parking at the sister resort up the street.

This was a great location, great building and great view. Our room was clean and had lots of fresh towels. THe balcony faced the ocean so we could see out to the ocean in the morning and watch the sun set in the evening. We had to figure out parking the first night but that wasn’t a big deal. The biggest downside was that the hot tub wasn’t function. Other than that, great for the price!

Being right on the beach was great. The pool, hot tub and seating area outside were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a relaxing vacation.

Beautiful ocean front condo. In the beach, not across a busy street. Our 1 bedroom had two baths, a full kitchen and two balconies with 180 degree views of the ocean, Molokai and Lanai. Pool and spa were very nice when coming in from the ocean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of whales and turtles. On our first morning a turtle came up onto the beach in front of the condo.

Good location and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean with everything you need. Limited parking. Got ticket for street parking.

We stayed for 10 days at this property. We researched our options and chose this property for several reasons. It had great ratings and the beach came literally up to the property line so the beach was beautiful and easily accessible. Staff was very friendly. We were disappointed due to the air conditioner not functioning in the main living area, which we reported several times and was told it would be replaced. I finally gave up calling and asking for help. The front desk did admit that they should have stayed in better communication with the maintenance crew. It’s very hot this time of year. W/ the setting sun coming through the west side of the property, it gets very warm. The other problem was the king size bed mattress was HARD! Front desk mentioned it had been replaced, but I think these were the cheapest option because they were hard and very uncomfortable. I mentioned to the front desk unless they upgraded to a softer higher end mattress, I would not be returning. Having a decent air conditioner and a very comfortable bed is so important! The air conditioning problem was documented from the first day I got there. Front desk did not offer me any type of discount or respite. After spending thousands of dollars a small discount would have been greatly appreciated ! The hot tub needs a better entry and exit system, the small set of stairs is steep and difficult to get in and out of. The courtyard tables need to be cleaned daily.

Furniture is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Great parking and nice jacuzzi. I wish they would make card access to pool and jacuzzi because the people from resort across the street come over.

Loved the beach access. Cleanliness could’ve been a bit better in the bathroom.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. The check-in/out process was smooth, and the area was safe. My main gripe is that the room was not cleansed to resort standards: there was a used dental pick on the floor, the refrigerator top was dusty, and a frame was partially stained.

Overall the hotel is very nice and very clean. Nice beach. The only issue I had was the smell of a dog pee in my bedroom. Every night when I layed in the bed, in that area it smelled like dog peed the carpet and it wasn’t washed. Not sure what was that, possibly some one stayed in that appointment with the dog. Over all everything is very nice and clean

Our stay presented good value and a beautiful ocean view, but several issues affected our overall experience. A few days into our stay we found a leak in the closet from the air conditioning, resulting in a large puddle, our safe was in there as well. Thankfully our belongings were unaffected and maintenance arrived within a couple of hours to address the problem. We also noticed considerable hair on the sofa, indicating insufficient cleaning after previous guests. When we contacted the front desk (a couple days into our stay) we learned that cleaning is available only for an extra fee. This policy was not communicated beforehand. I called to get the checkout instructions which were very vague, simply to “take out the trash,” and there was no clear guidance on where to dispose of it. On checkout morning, we approached the front desk for clarification but were met with a closed window and delayed assistance with a staff member at the front desk ignoring us because “they open at 10.” Only after pressing for an answer were we directed to trash chutes at the end of the hall. Additionally, details about hotel amenities were lacking. Staff at the neighboring Sands of Kahana were far more helpful and knowledgeable about our property and we checked in there due to the absence of staff at our own hotel. Their service was much more pleasant and accommodating. While the location and views were excellent, problems with cleanliness, communication, and service impacted our stay. Not rec.

Beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. Very clean, quiet and safe. Loved the amenities of our studio suite. Great place to stay. Plan to return.

This property was in the perfect location right on the beach. The amenities were perfect for the quaint. Little condos that they are. the only issue is that there's a small German roach problem. So you can't leave any food out whatsoever. They should work on the bug problem. Because I saw that in a Review from a year ago the same thing was a problem. Other than that, great front desk, they were there right on time when I needed to check in. And was even was provided an upgrade, which was super Surprising and super helpful. I loved it. I would definitely stay again.

The unit had spider webs in a number of areas. It would be nice to have a screen door on the lanai. Otherwise the unit was nice.

Excellent value. The decore is dated, the lenai, view and beach access are spectacular. It 2 blocks to a great sushi place, 3 blocks to maui brewing and a short mile to shopping at kaanapali.

I was very happy to find this good value for money hotel when I came to Maui for the first time. My room number is 301 located at the corner of the building and for two consecutive nights the strong wind outside kept knocking on my door so I couldn't sleep well all night. My experience this time was really bad. Fortunately, I only stayed for two nights and hoped to leave here as soon as possible.

This is a beach front property that’s why we booked it. The view of the sunset in the balcony is stunning! The room’s nice, but i thought it was a weird layout as the bed is right next to a fridge and kitchen. Smart TV and fast internet is a plus. My only complain is the check in process, the lady at the front did not do a great job. That part should have been improved. Confusion w/ parking passes etc. everything should have been taken cared off when we checked in. But the lady made us come back ay 8am but we’re leaving at 6:30am for Road to Hana and no one again after 5pm. Other than that, the property is in a great location.

Such a great place! I was looking to stay for only 2 days in Maui so I chose this but what a surprise! Right on the beach and an ocean view room with kitchenette. Sunsets are amazing! We had a newly renovated room and everything was overall great with ONE MAJOR caveat. I think they got the mattresses from Guantanamo. The pull out sofa is WAY more comfortable than the bed. I felt like I was sleeping on concrete with a thin pad on top. So if you can deal with that then this is the place to stay! I would love to come back but will probably sleep on the pull out next time…

You cannot get a better view. Absolutely fantastic. Rooms have been updated and are nice. Beds are hard and parking can be a challenge but overall a great experience.

It was great. Nice ocean view. Very nice studio with kitchen and nice fold out couch as well as nice new bed. Room very clean and we had everything we needed. Great air conditioner. Nice lanai with beautiful ocean and mountain and view.

Large space for a great price. There was a full-sized kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom. The bedroom and living room were pretty much the same size and very big. There were two full baths as well.

Beautiful area, beautiful view. Condo was clean, staff was helpful. My biggest complaint was that it was loud. Our condo was right off the elevator. We were also woken every day to construction going on inside the building and every day would start at 8:00am

The staff were all so friendly

Beautiful location, we were lucky enough to get a beach view suite. The area around the resort was super clean and safe, you see many people go for a run and walk with their dog. The only negative thing we encountered was that the lady at the reception was not friendly, she was too quick to end the conversation as soon as anyone asked her anything. It seems like she has other important thing to do, starring at her phone. very unprofessional. Other than that everything about this resort was wonderful

This property is part of a timeshare group. I wasn’t aware of that until after I booked it. Our flight was delayed so we got in after hours. It was difficult locating someone to obtain our key. A lock box of some sort may have been a great idea for after hours check in. Also, our room was never cleaned. I’m guessing that’s something we were supposed to request. We just decided to keep it near ourselves. Also, we were invited to listen to a sales pitch regarding the property, however AFTER we got up early to attend the meeting, we were told that we didn’t pay enough for the room to be eligible to sit through the sale meeting. Also, the fire alarm went off during our stay. The fire dept didn’t dispatch. That was concerning. The on-site security checked the alarm and declared it was safe to return to our rooms. It was anxiety inducing to say the least. The area is quiet and safe.

The lady at the front desk is very professional and friendly. I extended my stay an additional 2 days and even though we had to change rooms she made it very smooth. Very impressed. I've stayed at 5 different places on Maui since January 1st. This is the nicest.

It was in a great location!

Quiet place overlooking the ocean. Nearby there is a grocery store, cafe, gas station. 45 min drive to the airport.

Our second story unit was literally right at the beach where we could watch sea turtles, whales, and rainbows from the balcony. The place was clean and walking distance convenient to shopping and dining. Having the kitchenette was nice for some in-room meals.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right on the beach and although it only has a few amenities, it is well kept and provides everything you need. Its clean and the rooms are well equipped. If you dont want to rent a car, it is right by a bus stop. We thought it was great value. I would stay again...but would bring my own pillows! That would be my only feedback, they need to replace the pillows.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Easy walk to a couple local restaurants. Beach front with very good snorkeling on reefs right behind the room.

The location was amazing. There aren’t any onsite dining options but they are within walking distance.

The view of the ocean is priceless, I love waking up right in front of the beach. They have a little pool and lounge area and a jacuzzi for their guests. No dining option available within the building but there are some on the nearby condominiums. The front desk young lady offering tours is extremely friendly and helpful.

This property was clean and nice. It had a kitchen and plenty of space. I booked this trip last minute and was not disappointed in this location!

Staff was very courteous Room was very clean & cosy Our room was Right on the beach with an ocean view. Close to shopping and a variety of restaurants near by.

Great hotel for the price. Nothing fancy. Big room with a well stocked kitchen. The beach on the property is small and so is the parking lot. But is only about 1.5 miles to better beaches. Great if you aren’t hoping to spend a lot of time in your room. We really enjoyed the balcony and the view of the ocean. And surprisingly, the pull out sofa was pretty comfortable.

Our room was convenient to stay with family and spacious to spend time as family during dinners with a well equipped kitchenette

My daughter and I had an amazing time here celebrating her master's degree. We booked a 1 BR and are so glad we did. The condo was HUGE. The bedroom was x-large, as well as the living are. Both with a large TV in each. We also had two full bathrooms (one with a tub and the other with a full size shower). The kitchen had everything you'd need to cook meals. We were pleasantly surprised with all the cooking tools and gadgets. Being recently renovated, everything was brand new. The only thing you'll need are extra spices, if you plan to cook (salt and pepper are provided). There were plenty of dishwashing/dishwasher liquid/powder, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, wash cloths/towels, etc. The unit also provided several large beach towels. The beds were a little firm but comfortable, even the sleeper sofa was surprisingly comfortable. We were fully oceanfront/oceanview with two balconies, one off the bedroom and one off the living room. (I believe all 1BRs are full oceanview.) We also had an end unit. The view was expansive, and absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. I can not believe we were able to find a unit with an unobstructed oceanview for a very reasonable price, much, much less than anything else we could find. The property was quiet, which is exactly what we wanted. We preferred that to a busy and/or noisy resort. We walked to MisoPhat (from Triple D). It was fantastic! It's super easy to get around from the property. All great, zero complaints!

Very nice apartment with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Very nice sea view. Clean and fresh. Good condition. Pool and Jacuzzi cleaned each day. Grill available yo make your own barbecue. Absolutely recommend this apartment.
