The elevator door was malfunctioning, so the front desk clerk had to open it from the service side. This made me a little uneasy riding the elevator. The breakfast was nice, the scrambled eggs tasted bland and artificial, but the sausage and sausage gravy was delicious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, but I booked the suite because I was traveling with children and was disappointed there was only 1 TV in the suite, in front of the bed, but no tv in the sofa area. I gave the area around the property 3 stars because the outside of the hotel looked bleak. Just a big parking lot, no trees, shrubs. In Florida, we're used to beautifully landscaped surroundings so it was noticeably bare.

The hotel is close to downtown Lake Placid. We had a beautiful view of a lake from our room. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good. Only complaint is that the hotel seemed to have only one elevator. It broke down Friday afternoon for a period of time. It creaked a lot. Was very slow. I was always afraid I might get stuck in it.

Food options were excellent! Bed comfort excellent! The pool was hitter than soup, because there's no coverage. In Florida, pools need to have coverage when the temp ie 99°! Lots of bees around pool too because of an over abundance of foliage. I also killed 5 spiders in my room. Not daddy longlegs either. Otherwise, house keeping was on top of things. Desk crew were friendly, courteous and accommodating. Bottled water was pricey. I'd give them an A.

Pool was a little dirty and super HOT WATER! Needs shade out there and less trees and bushes, as bees were everywhere!! And leaves, etc were in pool! The door to outside was broken and i couldn't get back in.

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I took pictures but I don’t see the option to upload them here. I’ll make sure to include them in my Yelp review. We were put on the first floor and it was extremely noisy. The bed was uncomfortable and there was no bedding for the sofa sleeper. If the room (king bed and sofa sleeper) is advertised to sleep up to 4 people and the reservation is for 3 adults, I would expect the bedding to be in the room already. There were only 2 towels, too. I will not be returning.

The staff was great, the pool was great, the breakfast was great, the TV Channels sucked, internet sucked. No cable TV just air channels, and the internet was spotty at best. Room was nice and cool for a hot summer day in Florida. The wife stated the lighting needed improvement, oh also, whoever decided to put the toilet paper holder behind them while sitting on the throne should seek another profession. Designing a Hotel room can't be that hard! Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

The elevators were not working but we were not given warning until we arrived. We were travelling with my 92 year old father-in-law and given a room on the 3rd floor. When we arrived we were told “you can cancel and go somewhere else”. There are not many options in Lake Placid, FL. The pool was also being renovated so that was also infromationwothheld prior to our arrival. A little lead time in the future - even on the hotels website - would have been helpful and allowed us to not make the reservation or changed prior to arriving.

Used this for an overnight pitstop, would not recommend for more. - No service, the reception crew is basically just sitting there, they don’t seem neither particularly friendly nor interested in the guests - If you need anything in the room, you need to pick it up yourself at the lobby - Room was quite big and had nice view of the lake - Hotel is generally worn down and in need of some maintenance and paint - We didn’t even bother to get the included breakfast, we just assumed it wasn’t worth it based on the general, overall impression
