This motel was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. They had a good hot breakfast and plenty of coffee. The only drawback that I found is there was no ice machine on the 3rd floor, but that's being picky. Good place overall

We were really looking forward to this trip, but the hotel was a letdown from the start. The AC in the common areas wasn’t working, so the lobby and hallways were uncomfortably hot. It made it really hard to enjoy the breakfast—even though the food itself was actually decent. Things got worse when we were literally woken up by water splashing from a leak in our bathroom ceiling. Maintenance came to fix it, but shortly after, someone from room service entered the room without knocking—no heads-up or apology. They moved us to another room, but we found a bug on the floor right after arriving. On top of that, the pool was freezing and totally unusable. For all of this, they only offered $50 off our entire stay, which didn’t come close to making up for the experience. Staff didn’t seem friendly or concerned either. Overall, not worth the price—especially for a holiday weekend. We won’t be coming back.

Good value. Staff was friendly and responsive. Included breakfast was above average with many choices. Two issues: The in-room safe was inoperative and couldn't be fixed. Hotel management offered us another room, which was a good gesture on their part. Also, the safe is located at the bottom of the room's closet, making access difficult. It should be located higher in the closet.

Not worth what we paid, which was priced competitively with the state park inn which is nicer and has better views. Cons: -Paint around our room was peeling or chipped. -The window shades in our room had large stains. -Towels were threadbare. -Bathroom ceiling had large section that was peeling -We were only able to sit in the pool area while the kids swam for about 20 minutes before we had to leave because our eyes were burning from the pool chemicals. -The pool area in general could use some love, as the lights in the water were flickering and the metal around the windows was rusting from the constant moisture. The biggest pros of staying here were the staff and the breakfast spread. The beds and bedding were comfortable and clean.

It was nice and clean, your basic Holiday Inn Express. The pool was very clean nice and crystal clear. It wasn't overpowering with chlorine like most hotel pools. And warm enough, you could just walk straight into it.

The lobby was nice and clean. So I was hoping my room would be the same way unfortunately it was not. Room was dirty had sticky stuff on the countertop and peanuts on the floor when we walked in and a toenail over by the couch when I sit down the next morning.

The staff was very friendly. I loved that. The cleanliness was a little sub par. Our shower had dirt around the sliding door. The curtains were all stained and moldy. There was some stain spots on our sheets, there were areas on the walls that were not painted I’m just used to holiday inns being 100% clean and fresh.

Room itself was decent. Definitely needs some attention with caulking around windows and water drainage. We had room on 1st floor. First night we didn’t check much it was late (coming from out of state for wedding) On our second night when we arrived to our room we noticed a lot of black specs….. it was a crap ton of ants in the air conditioner all over and inside the unit. As well as slugs crawling up the wall from the corner crack on the floor. Ants were crawling along the baseboards of the room and getting in the bed frame. It was late 11pm! Management was notified immediately. They did move us to a different room, however we had a two queen bed room and they didn’t have any more available only had a king room available. Beings that it was so late we had to make it work. Was not impressed because the sofa bed didn’t have a real mattress and you could feel the bars in it. Breakfast was good. Had a lot of choices. Staff was friendly. Indoor pool was nice

Our room was infested with ants. After getting to the airport I realized i left some expensive items. When i called to ask them to ship them to me they said they were not turned in. I asked them to check the room. They claim they were not there. I said that means the housekeeper stole them. They said they would have to call me back and never did.

The hotel, including my room, was spotless. I appreciated all of the small details: a hook in the bathroom for a robe, additional hooks by the closet, an area for suitcases, a backlight bathroom mirror, a full size shower, ambient lighting, pillow cases labeled soft and firm, and even a card which listed the tv channels. All of these small details add up to a comfortable stay. This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn Express, and I will now seek them out when traveling. I visit Madison once a year, and I’ll return to this hotel.

This property is not clean and is really in need of some major updates. The hotel hallways and room smelled musty. The floors are dirty from the entrance, to the elevators and in the room. The shower doors and trim have stains. There was hair and dust in the corners of the bathroom. The back of the bathroom door was missing the hook and a big hole was left in the door. Food crumbs were between the mini fridge and wall. Crumbs (or some sort of debris) was also under the desk on the carpet. The air condition was making a noise that kept me from sleeping. I called down to the front desk on my cell (because the room phone didn’t work) the gentleman told me to turn it off for a while. It’s been 90 degrees for several days. However I did until the room reached 75 then I turned it back on…no change. He didn’t offer me another room or anything!!! This is certainly not a Holiday Inn that I’ve been used to staying at. Big disappointment

We stayed for two nights in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. When we walked in, we could tell someone who had been smoking in the room, the smell was awful. I had to go buy Febreze to get the smell out of the room.

It was a nice hotel and had excellent internet. Biggest issue was the sheets on the two queen beds were damp. Get with house keeping and tell them to make sure they are totally dry before putting them on the beds.

The property is in a convenient location and the staff were very pleasant. We have a motorcycle and they allow you to park under the awning which is a Big plus!! Thank you! The bathroom in our room King suite needs updated. The tub is all worn or has soap scum all on the inside. The caulking needs redone too, it was really gross. Bathrooms are a big thing for me so I am glad we only stayed 1 night. Also, the rooms ceiling and walls have water damage so it is all bubbled and coming apart at the seams. Breakfast was super busy so we waiting until 30 minutes before it ended to eat and everything that was hot was gone and they didnt refill any of it. We werent the only ones that didnt get to eat from them hot breakfast. I read alot of the reviews before booking this one and I am not sure where the disconnect was but we will not be staying here again.

The room was comfortably, quiet and warm (staying for business because i was snowed in and could've get home). Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and they serve different food each day, so your wont get bored. I didn't get in the pool, but it was open and looks nice. The shower is nice and warm, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. The hair dryer works well. The bed is slightly firm, so not too hard and not marshmallow soft. Blackout curtains work great. This Holiday inn is right in the middle of town in the hilltop area. Roads are pretty well maintained during snowy weather, but if you're snowed in, this is the best spot in town to stay.
The room was comfortably, quiet and warm (staying for business because i was snowed in and could've get home). Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and they serve different food each day, so your wont get bored. I didn't get in the pool, but it was open and looks nice. The shower is nice and warm, good water pressure, plenty of hot water. The hair dryer works well. The bed is slightly firm, so not too hard and not marshmallow soft. Blackout curtains work great. Every person we came in contact with was very friendly. From check in to breakfast to staff we passed in the hallway, we were greeted and made to feel welcome. It was a very short stay, but when we come back to the area we will stay here again. The room was clean and comfortable.

When I booked my rooms it was requested for connected rooms because I had multiple children with me and wanted access to all of them but enough room. When I checked in the lady was rude from the start and immediately told me they didn’t have that available and raised her voice multiple times and was extremely hateful. She said it was my fault as I “should have known” to call ahead and check availability although it stated available online. She told me I could not have a refund unless I wanted to leave right then. It was late and I had multiple children tired and upset and nowhere else to go because she told me my refund could take days. So I was stuck. We all stayed in one room and I didn’t even use the second room that was at the complete opposite end of the facility. So I paid for two rooms and could only use one and was so upset as it was for my son’s birthday. I will NEVER stay there again and will be making sure no one I know does either. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I have never had someone be so incredibly rude and unhelpful.

This property is not clean and is really in need of some major updates. The hotel hallways and room smelled musty. The floors are dirty from the entrance, to the elevators and in the room. The shower doors and trim have stains. There was hair and dust in the corners of the bathroom. The back of the bathroom door was missing the hook and a big hole was left in the door. Food crumbs were between the mini fridge and wall. Crumbs (or some sort of debris) was also under the desk on the carpet. The air condition was making a noise that kept me from sleeping. I called down to the front desk on my cell (because the room phone didn’t work) the gentleman told me to turn it off for a while. It’s been 90 degrees for several days. However I did until the room reached 75 then I turned it back on…no change. He didn’t offer me another room or anything!!! This is certainly not a Holiday Inn that I’ve been used to staying at. Big disappointment

After that one difficult lady the rest of the staff encounters were professional, courteous and helpful/ kind and I'm glad we stayed. My partner was not. Great staff and wonderful hotel to stay at. There was good restaurants nearby. Lots of shopping nearby for convenience if needed. We came for a hunting trip. It was quiet for an early bed time and safe for and early departure. I will definitely return again for my next trip!

The property needs TLC - IE., add some flower pots, spruce up the gazebo area. The room - the toilet bowl was disgusting. We were at the end of the hallway on the 1st floor, I woke up every morning to the smell of breakfast, which wasn't the best smell. I did eat the breakfast and it was okay. The selection was good in my opinion but the food was warm at best. The hotel was convenient for the event I attended so I can't complain. I did mention any of my concerns to management.

The hotel was very nice. The room was great! The staff were all very nice. I did not get a chance to use the pool or the workout features but looked nice. The breakfast was tasty, but did have a problem of running out of food entries, but the staff worked to replenish as soon as they could. Overall, excellent!

The property is in a convenient location and the staff were very pleasant. We have a motorcycle and they allow you to park under the awning which is a Big plus!! Thank you! The bathroom in our room King suite needs updated. The tub is all worn or has soap scum all on the inside. The caulking needs redone too, it was really gross. Bathrooms are a big thing for me so I am glad we only stayed 1 night. Also, the rooms ceiling and walls have water damage so it is all bubbled and coming apart at the seams. Breakfast was super busy so we waiting until 30 minutes before it ended to eat and everything that was hot was gone and they didnt refill any of it. We werent the only ones that didnt get to eat from them hot breakfast. I read alot of the reviews before booking this one and I am not sure where the disconnect was but we will not be staying here again.

Everything was great except you should definitely ask for a shower mat because the tub is VERY slippery. My son fell and I almost fell. I was told you need to ask for a mat after the fact. Besides that everything was great!
