Enttäuschender Aufenthalt – nicht für längere Reisen geeignet Das Hotel wirkt auf den Fotos deutlich moderner als vor Ort. In Wirklichkeit ist das Gebäude veraltet und die Ausstattung stark in die Jahre gekommen. Der asiatische Rezeptionist sprach nur sehr schlechtes Englisch, was die Kommunikation deutlich erschwerte, wenn er auch freundlich war. Zimmerservice erfolgte nur auf Nachfrage am 3. Tag und auch bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthaltes. Die Klimaanlage war schwach, das mobile Zusatzgerät zu laut für die Nacht. Toilettenpapier gab es nur auf Anfrage, einige Lampen funktionierten nicht. Es gibt weder Frühstück noch Snackautomaten – nur eine Kaffeemaschine und Mikrowelle. Positiv: kostenloses WLAN und bequeme Betten. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise akzeptabel, für längere Aufenthalte jedoch nicht zu empfehlen.

Very nice rooms building and area. Only thing would be better parking accommodations

The historic hotel was very nice but there is very limited parking, no room amenities. The telelvision is in a poor spot and the channels seem like they work off of wifi which was sparce. You have to go places for any food, and the town shuts down so good luck. You have to ask the front desk for ice, and it better be before 8pm. For the cost, i won't stay there again. The room was big, but had very little furniture. But.. the jacuzzi tub was incredible!! Huge plus!!

Built in 1868. Beautiful original condition with great wood work by skilled craftsmanship. Not staffed 24 hours, but staff will help when asked 24/7. Food available with a short walk down the street

Very interesting property. We didn't see any paranormal activity, sadly. The manager, Francis, was very nice and helpful - as was the young lady checking us in. She came up to my room to help with the location of the light switches. Bed was comfortable; room was quiet. Right downtown so we could walk to restaurants as well as path along the river. If the restaurant/bar had been open, five stars all the way around!

Old historic hotel with some nice new décor and facilities. You can see the old features and character of the place was really nice. The room had been decorated for a modern facelift in modern colours etc. With old furniture used. Main A/C was really loud so turned it off, but had portable A/C in the room was ok and fully controllable by the guest. Beds were not to my liking, old mattresses metal springs that poke you! We only stayed on night passing through town would not have liked any longer on that bed. Unfortunate as the only negative from the stay but critical to comfort. Large screen TV and fridge in room. Coffee station on the landing but no milk remember to buy some! Free parking on the quiet street next door, easy to find. Main street within walking distance was like something from the movies, Mayville is a classic old US town. Not a single chain store which gave it a nice feel, just a few independent restaurants Chinese / Mexican and coffee shops. Just the bed stopping me staying here again, if they got some memory foam I'd be back!

We liked the proximity to Horicon Marsh and The Wisco Old Fashioned Supper Club in Leroy. Property has been upgraded a little since last time we stayed here but our bathroom needed major improvement. Front desk manager was excellent and very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the bar and the bartender. We missed having a restaurant. We appreciated all of the local art on the walls.

Obviously it's an older building so don’t expect excellent noise proofing or a modern look. But the hotel has a lot of charm and the staff is friendly. Room was fine though my windows just faced a brick wall. Various good dining options in walking distance and a cozy bar downstairs. Streetside parking was no issue.

There was also a clear shampoo bottle cap left in the tub—easy to miss, but still something housekeeping should catch. That said, I truly enjoyed having a tub to soak in, especially since I have chronic back and hip issues. The bed, unfortunately, was very uncomfortable, and I had trouble sleeping during my three-night stay. Noise from the nearby road—especially from semi trucks—also made it hard to rest, though I understand that’s due to the location. I appreciate that the hotel is historic, and I think my aunt, who owns a historic home, would love it here. However, some furnishings felt a bit cheap and didn’t match the historic charm of the building. The staff were responsive and courteous, which I really appreciated. I’ve read about recent renovations, but the bathroom could use further attention—at minimum, a deep cleaning and plumbing repairs. I was told there's a recurring leak from a second-floor room affecting the ceiling below, which seems to be a known issue.

It's a very old building, probably late 1800's. Interior was freshly painted and well decorated. Rooms are on the perimeter with a sit down area in the center that was very nice. The room and linens were clean, but the room had a low level odd smell to it.

The rooms do not look like the online pictures at all. The room was so dirty, stains on the sheets, toilet and bathtub so gross, we had no choice but to stay due to our arrival time but had it been earlier we wouldn’t have stayed. This place has so much potential but it needs a lot of work.

The room was superbly clean, and tidy, albeit worn: example the chair upholstery was split, and the toilet seat was very loose/unsafe. When they say check-in is at 4pm, there is ZERO staff in the hotel until 3:45pm, and no staff in the morning. Coffee creamer was in chunks, so do not use. Still, for the price, it was a good place to stay.

I had very bad experience at the hotel room #22. There are no heat in the room,temperture at 66F during my stay. Thermostat is on heat and setup for 72F. I fall off the bed twice at night. Next morinig, I find out that King bed with no box under and frame are few feet short at both(left and right) side!

Great value, Spacious accommodations. Clean & comfortable. Good old-fashioned quality without glitz & glitter. Refreshing.

The room could use real curtains to help with extremely bright light and more comfortable beds, also the room said queen bed and it was a full size. The mini fridge had leaked water all over the rug and concerned for mold.

The property has been nicely restored. However, it was incredibly noisy. There was live music in the bar; nice for those in the bar but very noisy in the rooms above. Also, the walls/ceiling aren't very sound proof. We could hear other guests walking above and hear water running down pipes in the walls.

Gorgeous property. Friendly staff. Quiet except the upstairs neighbors had squeaky floor boards and were up walking around from 5-8 am and we couldn't sleep. Bar on main floor is beautiful but not open very long. The bartender Bill makes the best old fashioned. Clean. Very comfortable bed. Jetted tub was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

It was excellent with a few exceptions. The bathroom could use a stand by the sink to put toiletries on. There was no towel bar beside the bathroom sink. The room we were in was right beside the street. The street lights were shining right in the bedroom windows.

I booked this stay at the Audubon thinking it would be a nice ending to a trip for a family memorial and it was… very nice. Couldn’t be more pleased with my choice. This is a very lovely hotel and the folks who have been restoring it have done a great job. Should I come by this way again, I won’t hesitate to book a room here. We were received warmly and treated like guests in a home. I would highly recommend the Audubon!!

Quaint place with wonderful service. They even did a load of laundry for us. They let us play darts in the bar when it wasn’t open and were always so cheery!

Lovely staff, very friendly. The hotel is from the late 1800's and is a beautiful building. In downtown Mayville, there are a few restaurants, coffee shop, some shopping and even a bowling alley next door. There is a lovely path to walk around the nearby golf course that I did each morning. Cute and quaint little town. The entire town of people are very friendly too. The only hotel downside is that the hotel could use some major renovations. If someone could donate a little time and budget to help restore this place, it would be so amazing.

Arrived and all ready to enjoy our room and lo and behold it is not made up from the last visitor. Could not get anyone to make it up....so the kind person on the desk got us an upgrade....not really as we lost the view. Staff was Pleasant but not always there and we were glad to have experienced the facility and the area. Would do it again

Amanda and Keyu were so nice and accommodating. It was an older building and in some ways it was like going back in time. Don’t expect a perfect modern feel. However do look forward to a really cool experience. It is an 1800’s era hotel that is kept very original. We hosted the wedding party for my daughter’s wedding there on short notice. They opened up the bar and made us feel right at home. The place is under new ownership and they are working diligently to make it something that is even more enjoyable! I think we will go back just to hang out there and see them again.

Jacuzzi tub was great! The staff were very helpful with getting a car to move that was blocking the electric vehicle chargers. Perfect place to explore the Horicon marsh area.

A unique stay in a small town! I loved that the inn was right downtown and dining and shopping were a short walking distance away. The room was spacious and comfortable. The building had historic charm and was decorated festively for the holidays. We checked in late and instructions were clear for building access as the desk is not staffed 24/7. A nice coffee bar was available on the second floor just outside our room. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie staying here! Would definitely stay again!
