So after a very frustrating time at the airport we arrived at Circa 39. It’s a very traffic congested area. There’s a lot of construction and if you’re staying the night do not park in the expensive lot across the street. Ask the front desk for the directions to the garage across the bridge. It’s .3 of a mile. Very easy to walk to. Drop your things off and park in the loading area then take your vehicle and park in the garage for only $8 a night. In the morning when you’re leaving go get your vehicle and park it on the street and pay around $6 for 3 hours and it’ll be close by for when you’re departing. Easy Uber service to the lower south beach area. Don’t eat dinner at the hotel just take the Uber to the busy part and there are a ton of beautiful restaurants. Everything is expensive so don’t bother trying to save money on dining.

Maintenance had stop a leak inside of our Room. Unfortunately my daughter’s luggage was under the leak so her clothes got a little wet. Water flow was pretty low. Nice Parking garage next to Hotel at 45 a night. Beach is walking distance and had some restaurant options walking distance. Nice Area!

We stayed for a total of four nights and we were pleased with the hotel. Upon arriving we were informed the pool was not available to use due to maintenance. This was disappointing as we booked the hotel with the idea of going to the pool during our stay. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay. The cleanliness of the room was a bit concerning, the shower seemed it was not scrubbed down enough and the wood floors felt dirty upon arriving. We did enjoy the option of having a restaurant on the floor floor and the amenity of the beach lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. They also provided beach towels to guest. We also appreciated we were able to check our bags after checking out and had a couple of hours before our flight. Over all, we very much enjoyed our stay and would consider booking again on our next visit to Miami.

Perfect cozy hotel. Staff at the front desk was amazing. Brian and Akin were always friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had. Great value. Great location for the beach. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel too. Pool was awesome but mostly went to the ocean. Super nice that they provide umbrella and chairs! Included with your stay. would saty here again.

Value for price paid was tremendous. Surrounded by high rise and expensive hotels, this one is cute and still has that beach vibe like old Miami. Nice quaint pool area, great on site restaurant and bar, cute courtyard with available bike rentals. The beach is across the street and guest get access to beach chairs and an umbrella. Convenient stores next door. As a single female traveler, I would stay again!

Hotel service was pretty terrible. Rooms were teeny tiny, a bit shabby, and not very clean. Most of the outlets did not work in room. WARNING: Parking is NOT $4 per hour as stated on their website, it’s $25 per hour!!! And $45 overnight but this only covers 8pm-8am. Gym in the basement, was about 95 degrees and smelled like gas. PRO: The restaurant food was amazing (like very, very good) and the restaurant service was good and friendly). I wish I could rate the restaurant and hotel separately.

This is a great hotel that provides all of the uniqueness of a boutique experience. It’s got funky decor, a great bar and restaurant, great service. And a heated pool! The beach is across the street and you have access to umbrellas and chairs. I recommend.

I liked the property very nice. My room Was pretty but unfortunately. I tried to contact the front desk for days about the cockroaches we witnessed. They did not answer til I was home from Vacation which was 5 days. They also only refunded me 100$ which they never cleaned my room and also never awnsered me about the roaches but charged me everyday for fees of house keeping which I never received. The manager never contacted me back I had to keep calling and then the front desk is the one who said that I was refunded a 100$ The parking is horrible because you have to pay for parking by the min and if you miss it by a minute the police gives you a ticket for 40$. So on top of paying for parking we had to pay tickets to the city cause at night it’s only a 3-5 hour paying period then you have to pay all over again. Meaning they want you to wake up mid night to restart your payment for parking. So it wasn’t such a good experience I wouldn’t book here again unless it was my last resort. Which is sad because it was very nice and very close to everything walking distance to the beach. If they refunded me at least the house keeping fee I would of not wrote this review but since they didn’t even respond with respect after me containing them everyday sorry but it’s only fair

The hotel is cute and comfy with the bar and fluffy couches adjacent to check-in. The pool is of a good size for a small property and is heated. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, in particular Gino and Paolo at registration and Hector at the bar. There was another guy who was friendly at check-in, but i didn't get his name. The room had a cool vibe and was functionally laid out. Lastly, the bed was comfy! This hotel is a great value with great people working within who care about their jobs and work to make a pleasant stay for the guests.

This is the second time we have stayed at Circa 39. It’s a nice hotel with a good location. Unfortunately, this time we were eaten alive by bed bugs. The hotel wouldn’t take responsibility for it and their solution was to give us a free drink. We won’t be going back.

I travel 2-3 times a month for work and this is the first bad review I’ve left in years. Literally the worst hotel stay I’ve EVER had. Dirty, falling appart, incredibly loud, smelled like mildew, stains everywhere and I barely slept because of the dumpsters being slammed open and closed all night long directly beside my bed. I actually can’t put into words how terrible this was. If I had been staying there for longer than 1 night I would have left and gone elsewhere. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE. even the beach chairs are rusted out and crumbling. The ceiling fan was broken and the only light in the room was from the 1 side lamp in my room so it was pitch black.

I arrived in the evening when it wasn’t even peak time, yet I still had to wait an unnecessarily long while to be helped. Staff & Service - While some staff were pleasant, there were occasions when there weren’t enough people at the front desk. At times, it seemed like asking a simple question would mean waiting indefinitely. Communication was also lacking. For example, I wasn’t informed that guests had access to beach chairs. On my first day, I paid over $20 for one. It was only on my second day—after I noticed other guests asking about towels—that I learned we had complimentary chairs and where to get them. Room - The room itself was quaint and had charm, but it definitely needs updating. While it appeared clean at first glance, upon closer inspection between the headboard and mattress, I found an unpleasant amount of dust and hair. Additionally, the detergent used on the bed sheets left a fragrance that wasn’t particularly pleasant, and I think the hotel should consider switching to something fresher. Beach View - On the positive side, the beach is located directly across the street and was lovely. Overall, while the location was good, the lack of communication, slow service, and attention to detail with cleanliness made my experience less enjoyable than it could have been.

The staff were excellent. Mid-beach location was very nice- access to good stretch of beach very easy. The room was not very clean. The whole hotel could use a makeover- old, worn carpet, mustiness. The workout room was in a small basement windowless room with crappy machines. Resort fee stinks. Overall, quite meh. Probably will want to explore somewhere else on next visit.

This is an older property, but is so well kept and decorated nicely. Found our room to be very clean. Loved that we were able to access the beach and have access to chairs and umbrellas at no charge. Also the pool at the hotel is also a great spot and private from the street. Restaurant was good and busy for breakfast and dinner.

There are two buildings. Building 1 is nice. Building 2 is very old and the Air Conditioning in all of the building 2 rooms only cools to about 75F. Rooms are very musty. On our first day we went to the front desk and notified them that the AC was running but not cooling. Another couple from the same building complained about the same thing, and we spoke to someone else staying in that same building and they said the same thing. Front Desk said they would have someone check out our AC. Upon our return from dinner the room was no cooler. They moved us to a new room, with the same issue. Other than no AC, the hotel was nice and staff was friendly. They offer no parking, but there was a small parking lot (ie maybe 20 cars max) right across the street for $45 per night. Staff was very friendly. Pool was nice. Two iguanas by the pool / outdoor patio that will almost eat out of your hand. Good brick oven pizza a block away. Good breakfast/Lunch/Dinner at “The Tavern” a block away.

Circa39 was just okay. It looked a lot nicer from the pictures. The heated pool was the best part. The restaurant was expensive for what it was. Rooms don’t have blackout curtains which I just do not understand at all. We had to switch rooms because our original room was right behind the kitchen and we were woken up at 6 am both days. They offer chairs and umbrellas, but you pay an additional fee for this. Personally, I would look elsewhere.

The hotel is cute clean BUT made of paper walls. You can hear everything your neighborhood says or do. The walking on the top floor. Also the first morning at 8:45am the people that works at the hotel were talking singing so loud wake up is all. Front desk no friendly. The restaurant even though has few good reviews it’s bad, the meat in the burger was not eatable. We were before this hotel in one much cheaper and was great.

The hotel has rooms behind around a courtyard. These rooms are subjected to loud noise from outside air conditioners. When I complained, they solved me by moving me to the building in front immediately. That is, they are aware of and assign certain clients those rooms.

Extremely disappointing experience at Circa 39 My stay at Circa 39 was unfortunately ruined by the terrible customer service I received, especially from a front desk representative named Akim. He was extremely rude, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful — completely unacceptable behavior for someone in a customer-facing role. The hotel itself is far from impressive. While it may look nice in photos, the reality is quite different. The only positive aspect of my stay was the bar staff, who were kind, professional, and truly a pleasure to interact with — they are the only reason I’m not giving a 1-star review. I would not recommend Circa 39 to anyone looking for a respectful and pleasant hotel experience.

The staff was amazing when we arrived. The other hotel we booked prior to the 10 hour drive to Miami beach cancelled on us last minute. Therefore, we didn't have a place to stay. This popped up as available on the day we arrived, and the staff was wonderful! Thank goodness they were as great as they were, as we were on our last leg with all that travel. I highly recommend!

We checked in late at 11 PMwhich we did call to notify we were supposed to have two free drinks, but they didn’t have it for usWe had additional hour for checkout and at 11 AM. Their cleaning crew kept banging on our door, waking us up to get out of the room so they can clean it we told them that we had late check out, but they kept banging on the door so we got up and left and felt like we were getting kicked out of the hotel after we spent almost $400 a night which the hotel wasn’t really worth it We spoke to the front desk. They were unhelpful and said oh sorry bad communication won’t go back to this hotel.

It was very convenient. The beach was directly across the street from the hotel. The hotel offered a card to use the beach chairs and umbrellas for free. There was a convenient market and a liquor store on either side of the hotel, making it easy for shopping instead of dining out every night.

This place has a great value for mid-South Beach. Really nice staff and still walkable or a quick drive to Miami Beach. Highly recommend if you are price sensitive. Also a great location for getting back to the mainland with the bridge being right by this location.

Very clean and beautifully decorated.Short distance to beach. Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Public transportation to and from airport is easy to take — running every half hour —— bus stop directly opposite the hotel —- route 150 — check internet. Highly recommended

This is my third time staying at this hotel and they never disappoint. The staff there are welcoming and easy to strike a conversation with them. The rooms are always serviced when requested. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach which you can get to by crossing the street and walking up the block. There are lots of options to grab a bite, especially Primo Cafe which is next door and open late. I would recommend my friends and anyone to stay here.

First time to Miami Beach pre-cruise. The hotel is clean and has a fun retro theme. Beach is just a block away and the hotel provides beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. The hotel restaurant & bar was a welcome refuge from the busy Miami Beach streets. Only issue is that the restaurant seemed under staffed & it would take quite a while to order and receive food. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & would definitely return for a light trip on Miami Beach without feeling overcharged for the trip.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed ourselves so booked here again for 3 day pre and post cruise. The hotel is under new management and upgrades will be happening. Everyone is kind and helpful but I have concerns about the bar tender.. initially I had to give my order 3 times before he made it (sangria) not a difficult order. Then we ordered the shrimp cevichi (excellent by the way) we had a 20% off coupon but he said we couldn't use it because i didnt show it to him before I ordered. When we asked about the 20% charge on the bill he said that was for the hotel and not his tip..?? Today my husband went up for 2 small black coffees and same bartender charged $17 and my husband gave $20 for tip because none of 20% goes to him..?? I would love clarification on that because other restaurants menus say 14% goes to waitstaff and 6% to hotel. Also a cup of black coffee is $6 elsewhere. Sadly, we ate and drank at other establishments. We will be back post cruise, maybe a different bartender will be here then.

It was good. The room was nothing special but the pool was very nice and had a bar right next to it and they’d bring you drinks and food poolside. Walking distance to beach with chairs included. Bikes also on site. The restaurant was also cute with very good food. Would stay again.
