Only 1 elevator worked the entire time we were there. Lots of kids which is great if you’re a family (we are not). Rooms are dated, room refrigerator has no controls and the tv didn’t receive multiple news channels. The gym is rudimentary but functional. Really nice lobby and all the staff we encountered were great. The neighborhood is quiet but has a ton of restaurants and bars.

The hotel was nice. There were good perks, and amenities for choosing this hotel. Part half the reason I chose this hotel was for the hot tub, but it was broken… along with the other half of the pool, and the second elevator. Other than that it was nice.

“Facility in need of a refresh”. The last time we were here was just before the pandemic. The place is showing some signs of decline. The elevator (1 of 2) was out of service for our entire 5 night stay. The elevator that was in service was always packed; slow, delayed & even out of service on Sunday evening for an hour. Not exactly the best phenomena to encounter in active flu season and a packed house. The same thing for the hot tub (1 of 1); or should I say cold tub. The hot tub becomes clutch when a cold snap arrives. The in-room technology offerings were dated. It is ashamed to see a unique art deco design hotel in such decline. Marriott should sell it to someone who is willing to invest in the property. The staff (Front Desk(Victoria) , housekeeping, pool (LJ) and beach staff (Gary) are fantastic, friendly, accommodating and keep the place super clean. Management (Dalton) seemed indifferent to concerns expressed. At this point we are not really sure why there is an extra daily fee ($48) for a facility charge (2 beach chairs?) added to the bill. No one minds paying for value but we are currently struggling to find it at the Marriott Stanton in South Beach. Bon Voyage

Only one elevator in service.. you’ll be stopping on every floor if your on top floors.. super cool beach area cabanas start $250.. you get 2 free beach chairs but the umbrella cost $30 daily.. servers roam the beach and can charge to your room.. sushi restaurant was pretty good .. I’d probably stay there again only because of beach area and Starbucks downstairs super convenient

Most everything was fine, especially the staff - they were great. However, the facilities appear to be undergoing some renovations and 1 of the 2 elevators was out of service for our stay. We were there for 5 days and did not see any progress being made on the elevator, which apparently has been the case for several months now per other reviews. Not sure what could possibly be taking this long, but this should be a top priority as this is not a negligible inconvenience, especially for those on the higher floors, or cannot trek the stairs... Also, 1 of the 2 pools was out of service during our stay, which really didn't matter too much.

Location, Location, Location Wonderful Staff, Clean & Quiet Property Amenities outstanding include 2hours free bike rental daily, free beach chairs & towel service, clean quiet relaxing pool & hot tub, Starbucks onsite, great onsite restaurants with beachside food/drink service. Walking and biking distance to all of South Beach attractions via the very pedestrian friendly Boardwalk sidewalk located adjacent to the property.

Rooms were spotless , beds very comfy and staff was great . Food at Lolo’s was delicious and the outdoor waiter ,Fred, that serviced the food area was phenomenal !! Beach was gorgeous however , access was a little tough . Would be great if some sort of beach mat was laid down for the long entrance to the beach . Highly recommend this hotel 👍

Beautiful view from Ocean Front room. Alex the valet is the nicest guy. The bathroom needs a deep cleaning. Mildew in shower is disturbing from a place this expensive. One elevator was out so long wait times for elevator. Just needs some upkeep

As a long time Bonvoy member and owner of two Marriott timeshares in Palm Desert and Maui, the Stanton is the most run down, dirty Marriott we have ever stayed. The suite floor was sticky all over and the couch was stained. There was only 1 working elevator in the hotel. Further, despite having member status, we were denied a request to check in before 4 and only given a 30 min time extension to check out. When expressing our concerns with multiple front desk staff, we were essentially dismissed and ignored. The treatment and customer experience we have received was the worse we received in the over more than 20 years we have been customers of the Marriott brands. We still like Marriott but will never set foot in the Stanton again.

Not up to Marriott cleanleness standards, you are paying top dollar. I lay this at the feet of managmement. The rooms and halways are simply not cleaned properaly. Marks on the halway walls, grime on the floor in the room. Just plane lazy, slopy work by management not getting the work done by employees and keeping things up. For the $ they charge try someonwhere else.

Great hotel located on Ocean Drive right on South Beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Short walk to main restaurants on Ocean Drive. The room showed some signs of wear and tear but nothing major. Comfy beds, amazing balcony and view of the beach. Two swimming pools with chilled music playing. The hotel has two restaurants but we only went to Lolo’s, the food was fantastic. Will return.

#1 We arrived on April 3rd, out of two elevators one was out of order, which continued throughout our stay 4 days. #2 we were give a room which we did nit ask for (HANDICAPPED) #3 THEY DID NOT CHANGE OUR ROOM BECAUSE THEY WERE BOOKED #4 THE BATHROOM TUB ACTUALLY FELT SMALLER BECAUSE OF THE HANDICAPPED EQUIPMENT #5 THE WATER PRESSURE ON OUR FLOOR WAS EXTREMELY WEAK #920 #6 THE DAY OF OUR CHECK OUT SUNDAY IT TOOK 35 MINUTES TO GET TO LOBBY BECAUSE THE ELEVATOR WAS ALWAYS FULL OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS ONLY ONE... I booked an oceanfront room that was advertised with pictures as having a balcony large enough for a table and chairs. What I was given was a “balcony” so narrow that you can’t stand on it and close the sliding door at the same time!! Staff said pictures on the website aren’t real or meant to depict the room you get. Keep this in mind when you’re choosing hotels.

We were first welcomed with a broken elevator and 12 steps up to enter the hotel. Then presented with a room with no drawers for clothes, no sink in the bathroom but a stand alone sink next to the door with no counter space or vanity for makeup, or shaving or hair care. The TV was super small roughly 15 inches and not up to today’s standards. We immediately requested another room and that we could not stay for a week in those conditions. We were told there were no other rooms available. We advised the front desk at 9 am that we needed to leave. We checked out by 10am but had to wait in line as others were checking in until we could talk with the manager at 11am.

Disappointing Experience I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay. Initially, the elevators were out of service, leading to inconvenience. The service was below par; when we requested blankets, we received something resembling gauze with tears and holes. It was hard to believe, but I have a video to document it. As a result, we were quite cold at night. The mattresses were uncomfortable, and perhaps the worst issue was the bathroom door—it was a barn door that didn’t close properly, leaving us feeling very uneasy. I have captured a video of that as well. Overall, I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

The price was very high for the size of the room. The rooms are way too small for four people. The view from the ocean front balcony was amazing! I didn't think they should have charged for the beach umbrellas. Overall was a pretty nice place.

Everything was so convenient. Great staff. Tony at the pool was the nicest person I’ve ever met. So friendly and accommodating. Constantly checking on people to see if they need anything. Lobby staff were incredible. Valet staff were incredible. Really enjoyable experience and can’t wait to go back.

From the moment you check in, every single staff member was so welcoming and friendly. They all wanted to make sure you enjoyed your stay there. They greeted us with Sangrias. They handed us information about the restaurants around the hotel and we tried two of them. The pool and beach staff were incredible - always making sure we were doing fine. Since it was so hot and humid, it was very nice how they always had ice cold water available to refill your water bottle. We also looked forward to the Gelato Happy Hour from 3-5pm. The lobby has a clean scent that each time we would return back to the hotel it was a breath of fresh air. The Japanese restaurant Azubu was so delicious that we had to eat dinner there twice during our stay. We all enjoyed our stay so much at the Marriott Stanton that we all want to come back and stay there again!!!

One of the elevators has been down for a while and it looks like the hotel has no intention on fixing it anytime soon, the front desk staff is impersonable and unwelcoming, and they say they have pool side service for drinks and food but the attendant barely checks in to see if you want anything. Positives were a nice pool area and polite workers with the exception of front desk.

One of the best stays we have had in South Beach! The staff were so nice and friendly! Very accommodating and the valet guys were so welcoming and always giving out waters!! Location... Amazing! Wasn't in the chaos of south beach just a block south. Could easily walk everywhere! Room and Hotel.... awesome!! Very comfortable and clean!!! Gym was nice and bigger than expected! Hotel pool was so nice!! There was plenty of room for all the guests. The pool was clean and looked beautiful! Beach access was great and easy! Got 2 free chairs right on the water. Restaurants were good! Lolos has some amazing margaritas and Mojitos and the food was delicious! Starbucks is right downstairs too! Ended up being a last minute family trip to South Beach and this hotel definitely didn't disappoint! We found the best hotel and will be back!!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The lobby scent is refreshing. Beach access, restaurants, and shopping were convenient. However, on this trip, I was put in a not-so-desirable room. The room was outside the conference rooms, just above the lobby. We heard loud conversations and laughter late in the night. There was a dog barking on our floor. In addition, the room did not have a good view and shared space with a conference room, but it was spacious. The sign and tall trees blocked the view. Such a bummer.

During the check out, we asked about the clarification for the charges we did not recognized in the receipt, and the receptionist, I believe named Victoria went inside and did not came out. After more than 30 minutes, we asked the different receptionist /staff and she went inside and looked for the previous one, came out without any answer. Later, she helped. We felt we were ignored, and very unprofessional.

This property was very beautiful and near several shops and eating places. It was right off the beach and the pool staff and pool was very clean and welcoming. The front desk staff as well as the bell hop/valet staff that took your bags we’re not as helpful as one would expect, so, just be prepared, even if you tip them, they may not really do much for you. Overall, I did like the hotel and would return depending on the time of year.

This is a great hotel on South Beach. It is close enough to everything without feeling like you're sleeping in a Rave. A few blocks walk to South Beach. The beach was quiet (perfect!) and the chairs are free. The day beds are a bit expensive ($250 for the day) but comfy and nicely shaded. The beach service was very slow, we walked up to the station to grab drinks 2 out of the 3 times to grab drinks. If you can, go to The Den (2-starred Michelin restaurant in he hotel), it was phenomenal and I cannot rave about it enough. The bartenders at Azabu were so great, we sat at the bar twice and they gave some great recommendations for the area. The rooms were nice, we had a balcony with ocean view and it was very nice-the park in front of the beach was very beautiful. The bed in the room was okay-not great but not bad, but the pillows were very flat. It was nice having a starbucks connected to the hotel as well! So convienient but very very busy. Loco's (the mexican restaurant) was pretty good as well. The time share rep called us/left messages every day, which I did not like at all. There is a CVS kiosk with diapers, suntan lotion, etc which was great. They didn't have ear plugs (and also didn't have them at the front desk) and there was construction going on across the hall on a Saturday morning. A few little things like this would really make a difference. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

This is a nice older, smaller, hotel on the beach in SOFI. This means it is not in the dense tourist area. The asian restaurant is really great. Have small plates. There's something for everyone which is not always true in Japanese restaurants. The on-site Starbucks is nice to have, especially because the hotel breakfast place, Lolo's, is terrible. Poor food, poor service. We will stay here again.

I was so disappointed with this hotel. My daughter was graduating UMiami. It was nothing to look at. The pool area had one pool and a hot tub broken. They had orange cones and yellow tape around it. What an eyesore! Pool that worked wasn’t great and way overcrowded. Only one restaurant open at night. I was so disappointed. The beach was nice, though.

First there’s only one working elevator. The other has been broken for 3 months. This is a Marriott property, that’s ridiculous. The property has a third party restaurant that services the pool. Staff is unprofessional and will pad your check if you’re not paying attention. It’s borderline fraud. Will never stay there again.
