I was excited to stay on the beach the night before leaving for a cruise. My son and I took an Uber to the hotel, but I saw the issues the person was having in front of me concerning parking. There is no parking at this hotel, but you can pay $25/night to park 2 1/2 blocks away at a garage. Our room looked pretty however the curtains did not completely cover the windows and the view was of a metal fence, concrete, and just yuck. The mattresses were so noisy, not the bed frame but the mattress. It didn't matter if you say on it, laid down or rolled it made the worst crinkly sound. The decorations were cute, however everything looked like it was from IKEA and a lot of finishing details were absent. We were on the main floor, and could hear everything going on. This hotel is absolutely not handicap accessible.

The location to beach is great, however there is no parking and web site is miss leading about that. Off site parking is a couple blocks away at ac hotel and they were quick. Elevator was slow and only fit 2 people. Breakfast offered was only for 1 hour and limited to waffle, apple, orange, bread and 2 kinds of cereal. Keep in mind that is an old hotel, its small and there is no patio or pool. The rooms are clean and small. The balcony was dirty, the outside paint was falling apart, it was not very inviting. They offer breakfast but the space where they served breakfast was so small and inconvenient. They need to find a better place to serve breakfast. There is a lady that stands next to the bread to give it to you and takes a lot of space. They should also serve breakfast a little longer, the time frame is too short. The staff was ok, not always in a good mood. They seemed to be bother when you ask a question. The Mexican gal, I believe his name was Joaquin, was always very helpful. The others not so much. There is no wheelchair access. They provided towels and umbrellas for the beach at no cost which was a plus. Overall, not impressed, I may look at other hotels before staying here again.

I booked this hotel because it’s in a great area and I called the hotel to ask staff about parking. They assured me they had garage parking for $30 a night. When we arrived I was told their parking garage is full and I could park on the street for $3 an hour (ridiculous). Luckily there was another garage for the same price- 14 min walk from the hotel. Then another visitor took our carry on bag by mistake. We asked the front desk lady to call the other individual since they took our bag. She didn’t understand and went on the phone speaking in Spanish completely ignoring us. Then she gave us our room key, we went up and it was a downgraded room. We booked the room with a balcony and she gave us a smaller room with no balcony. We had to move all our things back down to tell her we need a new room, which again she didn’t apologize and was on the phone. Overall, the staff did not help, the walls are very thing you can hear everything and everyone, the elevator is extremely slow, and the overall quality is just O.K. The location is the only upside of this hotel.

I am amazed by the friendly staff and services. We arrived 5 am, and they were able to accommodate a room right away so we could rest without extra fees. Prime location and walking to the beach on the same street as the 1 hotel or blue moon hotel. The price is not too cheap for the standards of hotels, but it is one of the cheapest on the same street. However, the breakfast only has starch-based products, no eggs or proteins, and it is always a long line. By 9 am, there is almost nothing left to eat. The rooms are average and clean, but with small bathrooms and an interesting walk-in closet. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors or anything going on in the hall away. It is a little run-down property. No pool or gym.

No onsite parking. Street parking is only free 3-9am. The hotel that you can pay to park is 3 blocks away. Outside had construction, was a meaa. The hotel is clean. Small cery small elevator. Not recommended for people afraid of small spaces. Room is clean check in was fast.

The rooms are spacious and linens and floors clean but there is a lot of mold that was masked by scented air fresheners. It’s noisy location due to traffic! Bathroom did not have a vent/fan. Very old building.

I didn't stay to long. We were there for maybe 9 hours over night. Nice that the hotel is right 30 meters away from the beach, SUPER convenient! Absolutely wonderful staff! I LOVE the complimentary tea/coffee in the lobby. Nice that they offer a complimentary breakfast as well! The rooms were ok but very humid and the bathrooms mildly outdated. The bathroom ventilation was very poor. The hallways did not feel like a hotel but rather a working class apartment building. The balcony access was nice however. Again, the staff was amazing!!

Very friendly staff. Elevator barely worked. I had to take the steps. Pillow has stains . The lobby had a clean fresh smell. Not much to do other than the beach . Everything else is in a longer walking distance 30min walk.

We stayed here for one night. We had a decent check in experience with good customer service, but when we came back at 8pm the power was off and didn’t come back on until 3am, so we didn’t even realize the sheets were stained until we woke up when the lights turned back on. Overall not a great experience.

The internet connection in our room is bad, so we're using our own WiFi. The hotel WiFi only works well in the bathroom and just outside the door. Maybe our room is located at the far end of the hotel on the third floor? Despite that, the location is great, and we can walk to the beach. They provide free chairs and towels

Nice enough hotel with a great location on Miami Beach. Parking was a nightmare and the staff were utterly unhelpful with this and with a lot of other things. Parking was not what they advertise on the booking. They clearly don’t have proper customer service training. The shower was freezing cold and didn’t warm up at all after being on for a considerable amount of time. Mould stains on the curtains. Fan in the room didn’t work so was very hot with no way of cooling it down. Walls are paper thin so you could hear EVERYTHING (including the room next door’s TV being too loud). WiFi was also poor and not good enough for most uses. Apart from the location, I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel.

We were in Miami for one night before a cruise with two teenagers. The hotel is as close to the beach as you can get without paying 4-500+ a night. I’d read the elevator was small maybe four slender people and carryon luggage would fit, we opted for the stairs the rest of the stay. The hotel is older and not part of a chain so it’s not glamorous but functional. We had two clean beds a balcony and decent bathroom. The air conditioner worked great it was one of those large units you controlled below a window. The front desk attendant seemed annoyed we were bothering her when we checked in. When we left to go walk along the beach she didn’t even look up from her book. The breakfast was pretty good nice fruit and pastries.

The location of the hotel is great for the beach,the rooms are clean. But,it is noisy with the lift and you can hear other residents. The room looks quite tired and beds are not the most comfortable. Breakfast is basic, they dont clean the tables in-between patrons and i can be a bit hectic.

Family stay- The vacation is great! So close to the beach we had a room with a balcony looking at the ocean. Great view from the room. The bathroom was very nice. And there was ample closet. Space! The beds were a l Little bit harder than what we used to, but nonetheless, the room was great. The service at the front desk was so generous!. So unusual to be able to use chairs, towels, and umbrella at no extra cost. He held our luggage the day we checked out and we were able to change in the lobby bathroom which is very nice. There is a little café and market at the corner, which has really great coffee and pastries!

The property is in a great location, all staff was great. However, parking was stressful. The website says we can pay $30 to park in a garage but there wasnt. We had to use a parking meter which we werent sure at first if we could use it and had to make sure we were adding funds as its only 2 hours at a time. It would have been nice if they told me that in the first conversation. The staff seamed annoyed when talking with me. The breakfast was minimal selection. The beach access was public beach access, and we were given stadium chares and bath towels. Nothing like the pictures used for advertisement on their website. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked this hotel because it’s in a great area and I called the hotel to ask staff about parking. They assured me they had garage parking for $30 a night. When we arrived I was told their parking garage is full and I could park on the street for $3 an hour (ridiculous). Luckily there was another garage for the same price- 14 min walk from the hotel. Then another visitor took our carry on bag by mistake. We asked the front desk lady to call the other individual since they took our bag. She didn’t understand and went on the phone speaking in Spanish completely ignoring us. Then she gave us our room key, we went up and it was a downgraded room. We booked the room with a balcony and she gave us a smaller room with no balcony. We had to move all our things back down to tell her we need a new room, which again she didn’t apologize and was on the phone. Overall, the staff did not help, the walls are very thing you can hear everything and everyone, the elevator is extremely slow, and the overall quality is just O.K. The location is the only upside of this hotel.

I didn't stay to long. We were there for maybe 9 hours over night. Nice that the hotel is right 30 meters away from the beach, SUPER convenient! Absolutely wonderful staff! I LOVE the complimentary tea/coffee in the lobby. Nice that they offer a complimentary breakfast as well! The rooms were ok but very humid and the bathrooms mildly outdated. The bathroom ventilation was very poor. The hallways did not feel like a hotel but rather a working class apartment building. The balcony access was nice however. Again, the staff was amazing!!

Enjoyed being close to the beach. Easy walking. Hotel gave you towels, chairs and umbrellas; if wanted. The boardwalk trail was very nice and just outside the hotel.

Very cute and comfortable with a great location just a little north of Miamis most popular attractions but still a solid area with great restaurants, bars, shops nearby! Very close to the beautiful beach! Staff was friendly and the room was clean! Great for adults for a few nights, would be fine for a family for one or two nights but not great for a longer stay. I would totally stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Lorraine Hotel! They were quick checking us into our room and providing us with hotel information (free wifi and breakfast, free water/coffee/tea 24/7). This hotel is smaller in size with only 3 floors and maybe 30 rooms total, so it it easy to find your way around. There is only 1 elevator that was rather small, but they did have stairs as well nearby. This hotel has a modern yet vintage feel. It is in a great location- between Collins Ave and Miami Beach. While not oceanfront, it is about 1 block from the beach (5 min or less walk). They let you borrow beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for free as long as you return them! The only downside I can think of is regarding the parking, or rather, lack thereof. We had a car with us during our stay and we had to park and repark multiple times ( bc the parking spots had a 4 hr limit). The hotel did mention a parking garage 2 blocks away for $30 a day, but we weren't able to find it and decided just to pay to park in the 4 hr spots. Overall we had a great stay, rooms were clean, and would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

I would definitely stay here again. Very close to the beach. They have a decent continental breakfast and they have chairs and towels you can check out and use for the beach. Staff are very helpful. The elevator is pretty small. There is a store with a deli next door that has sandwiches and pizza and desserts made to order.

The location to beach is great, however there is no parking and web site is miss leading about that. Off site parking is a couple blocks away at ac hotel and they were quick. Elevator was slow and only fit 2 people. Breakfast offered was only for 1 hour and limited to waffle, apple, orange, bread and 2 kinds of cereal. Room lacked any plugs and the shower dripped non stop. The best part of this locaton was the closeness to the beach.

The location of the hotel is great for the beach,the rooms are clean. But,it is noisy with the lift and you can hear other residents. The room looks quite tired and beds are not the most comfortable. Breakfast is basic, they dont clean the tables in-between patrons and i can be a bit hectic.

Keep in mind that is an old hotel, its small and there is no patio or pool. The rooms are clean and small. The balcony was dirty, the outside paint was falling apart, it was not very inviting. They offer breakfast but the space where they served breakfast was so small and inconvenient. They need to find a better place to serve breakfast. There is a lady that stands next to the bread to give it to you and takes a lot of space. They should also serve breakfast a little longer, the time frame is too short. The staff was ok, not always in a good mood. They seemed to be bother when you ask a question. The Mexican gal, I believe his name was Joaquin, was always very helpful. The others not so much. There is no wheelchair access. They provided towels and umbrellas for the beach at no cost which was a plus. Overall, not impressed, I may look at other hotels before staying here again.

I am amazed by the friendly staff and services. We arrived 5 am, and they were able to accommodate a room right away so we could rest without extra fees. Prime location and walking to the beach on the same street as the 1 hotel or blue moon hotel. The price is not too cheap for the standards of hotels, but it is one of the cheapest on the same street. However, the breakfast only has starch-based products, no eggs or proteins, and it is always a long line. By 9 am, there is almost nothing left to eat. The rooms are average and clean, but with small bathrooms and an interesting walk-in closet. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors or anything going on in the hall away. It is a little run-down property. No pool or gym.

Overall the stay was wonderful, close to the beach. Only negatives, small continental breakfast area to small for the number of guests trying to prepare and eat breakfast. No ice machine on premises. The cleaning staff did an excellent job servicing our room.

The room was immaculate & even though the building itself was older, everything was clean, polished & super comfortable. We had a beautiful ocean view & enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Hotel is a very short walk to the beach and the hotel has bag chairs, umbrellas, and towels available to borrow. Breakfast was available 8-9:30 each day. It wasn’t a huge selection (waffle maker, cereal, breads for toast, bagels, other assorted bakery items, yogurt, bananas, apples, and juice) plus coffee which was available all day. Our room had a small fridge and a microwave plus a large closet. There were only 3 hangers, but made a trip to Walmart and, along with lunch items & snacks, purchased inexpensive 18 pack of hangers that served our needs. Room was cool and comfortable which was nice since it was hot and humid. Elevator was small, but got the job done and stairs are available for those who prefer getting in extra steps. They do not have on site parking, but you can pay for valet parking at another hotel only 2-3 blocks away. Valets were available 24/7 so no issues getting car as often as needed. We would definitely stay there again!!
