Great one night stay at San Juan. This is a historic art deco hotel, not a brand new chain hotel. Beautiful property and excellent service. Across Collins from the beach and in the middle of everything. We pulled our car up to the front on Collins for valet and were barely off the street and partially blocking the sidewalk. When the valet went to move the car the battery was completely dead. The valet and the manager were extremely helpful. They tried to jump the car, to no avail. They called a cab and we were able to get to an auto parts store to get a battery and replace it within an hour. This wasn’t their problem, it was mine. They did everything they could to help us. Breakfast by the pool was great and very reasonably priced.

Everyone who worked at this facility were the nicest people I’ve ever met! Kudos to the staff! The hotel is very run down, there were bugs crawling on the wall, toilet did not flush. The pool area is very small, and only had 6 chairs and two cabana. The staff on the beach was horrible! They are not part of this hotel, but just an fyi if you are more than two people you have to pay for another chai/umbrella which is $50.00. Again amazing job to the staff such wonderful people.

I liked that this hotel has a pool(not heated) a bar and cafe. They also provide 2 beach chairs and umbrella during your stay. The beach is a short walk across the street. The room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the proximity of the hotel, everything is within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for a very reasonable cost. Close to the beach. Close to Lincoln. Close to nearly everything. The only disappointment was that the in house bar was closed on Monday and Tuesday. Yet it's adveritzed as being open, with a happy hour, every weekday.

Ok hotel, good amenities although the resort fee is a bit expensive, be aware of the car park fees (didn’t have a car). Room where nice and super clean. They honoured my VIP silver status. Big thanks to the Uruguay lady serving at the pool bar, outstanding Mojito and nachos with guacamole Overall location is great if you want to stay away from the buzz but with walking distance. Good places to eat and drink nearby

Loved the bar. Loved the cookies and water upon arrival. Did not read the fine print so was caught off guard with the $84 resort fee. It wasn’t a resort as I define resort. I did like that they had the chairs and umbrella on the beach. Great area. Great staff.

Very Nice and Clean!!! Great looking place!! Everything is close by and in walking distance. They have a bar inside and by the pool!! Pool is nice and not used much so you might get it to yourself sometimes which is cool because everyone is at the beach most of the time. They give you Beach chairs and umbrellas to use at the beach. This was a very nice stay and Convenient. Staff were very friendly and help-full!!

Maintenance gentleman and this mornings hostess were very nice and willing to help. Ac had issues but soon resolved. Thin walls and extremely noisy . Super small and dated. Lot of dirt behind beds and bathroom tile need more attention. Terrible view should get creative and make an outdoor garden or add some threes.

My stay was for 5 days and the property location and room was okay. Room condition was not great but okay. On the third day or so i room service was requested and i expected the room to be clean. The room was made and just realized that the maid did not bother to do any cleaning inside the bathroom. The soap stain was as it was there from the day one and shower booth was not clean at all. Very disappointed when the maid did picked up the tip from the table. Also, had to report to the front desk constantly because there was smoke smell that enter into my bathroom through the bathroom vent at mid night, and 6am constantly over my entire stay.

It was very frustrating everytime we left the room and came back our key would not work. The desk staff would make another key and that one would not work either. We were there four nights and each night staff had to let us in room 218. The main lobby has a very pleasant welcoming smell but the second floor has an unpleasant mildew or sewage smell in the hallways. Our sheets had old blood stains and dirt on them. This hotel is decent but needs updating. Walls in the room were dirty and need to be repainted and the beds were very uncomfortable and sit on a low platform. Oh last but not least the toilet kept backing up and had to be plungered.

We had a basic city view room. It faced a wall and had noisy air conditioning outside. One of our friends booked a pool view room - it was a much better room. I would recommend the upgraded room. Our room had a musty smell - I asked for an alternative room and they did offer one but it was no better. The location was utterly perfect and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

This hotel is clean, the location is great - near the beach, shpping and restaurants - nice that beach chairs are provided, the staff was great, the bed was great, the bathroom is small, there is no room for toiletries, and the walls are thin. Our neighbor was loud and we could almost hear their conversation. Thankfully things quieted down pretty early. For the price it was a good stay.

I was very happy with the San Juan especially for the price I paid. Its location is perfect. The room was large and very clean. My only complaint was that the thermostat in my room didn't work so I had to ask them to turn off the AC completely because it was too cold. But afterwards it was comfortable. Overall, I don't think there are better options on South Beach at this price point.

Way overpriced for what it offers. Rooms are BASIC at best, its old and not renovated, pool is “mini” pool, breakfast is an insult for 18$ they charge.

This hotel is very old fashion and the celling is made of old wood who cracks during all day and it’s almost impossible to sleep with that. The noise is constant ! I will never stay at this hotel anymore . I do not recommend this hotel

Terrible experience, breakfast was 3 out of 10, Nothing worked, the door card didn't work and took them two days to fix it, hair dryer was not working and i had to ask for towels. And couldn't turn down the AC. Also front desk called me to tell me why i did rate them low for the check-in like owe them explanation and it was a weird situation. I had to spend 30 minutes with Expedia to explain the situation and why my rating was not anonymous and what Gave them right to call me and ask why rated low. I am rating everything low now and will right a through review in Yelp so they get the lesson.

Staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. Always someone available to help and offer great service. Super well situated. Service at pool through diner would be the only recommendation I would make. Otherwise no major complaints here. I would recommend.

This hotel is in a great location surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops while also close enough to the beach that it's a short easy walk to get to. At the beach they also provided us with sun loungers, an umbrella, and towels. There's a level pool and cafe as well.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were neat and clean. Pool is on the small side, but very peaceful/pretty area with lots of birds and plants. Lobby area is comfy and all areas were clean. The shower head in our room needed attention as it was leaky. The cafe at the pool was reasonable and had nice breakfast. Restaurants in the area can be pricey so this was a good option. The location it great, short walk to beach and having access to lounge chairs and umbrella was WONDERFUL. I'd like to stay here again, lots to do.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the San Juan Hotel in Miami from December 30th to January 2nd! The hotel provided a perfect combination of comfort, style, and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights was definitely the delicious mojitos – they were absolutely perfect! We couldn’t get enough of them. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami and will definitely be returning in the future!

Overall the stay is ok. However bathroom is bit smaller and no place to keep our cloths while showering Area is noisy and we were stayed first floor and keep hearing noises from upstair room which disturbs our sleep. Breakfast is not good.We decided to not to take the breakfast on second day of our visit even we already paid it. You should provide good breakfast because you already charged $120 for breakfast for two days.

Was in town for a business meeting. Needed someplace convenient to the New World Symphony Center and somewhat budget conscious. The lobby/bar area upon arrival was European in its space efficiency and the general vibe continued that style. Staff was wonderfully engaging and friendly. For the few hours/night I spent in the room, its size was more than adequate. The included breakfast ranged from waffles to meats/cheeses, cereals, and coffee/juice around the pool -- perfect for a grab and go or sit-and-chat. Very convenient to a wide range of restaurants and shopping.
