True Gem in the Tahoe forest. Can hike to ski lft behind the lodge and ride back to your room.

Finding the entrance to the lodge is tricky and took us a few tries. Luckily the checkin staff was super helpful and came and got us from the road. He was super nice through the whole stay and even helped us start a fire in the common lodge area in the evening. Only thing is the private room with bunks was crazy small. My friend and I could barely walk past each other to do anything in the room and enter/exit. Dorms might be better if you want a little more room but less privacy.

It was perfect for me as I was there only to sleep after a night dive at Lake Tahoe. Huge men’s restroom with showers, and my key was waiting for me at the check-in door. Very nice!

The reception was closed, and they didn't respond when we called, so we couldn't get a blanket. Was freezing all night. When we got to the room we had booked online, but it turned out that the 5 bedroom room was actually a mixed dorm. The guy who was already there was as surprised as us. Fortunately there was room in the female dorm, so we slept there.
