Stayed 3 nights

We stayed 3 nights over Mother's Day and were unimpressed. The lobby looks wonderful and our room was nice and had a beautiful view of Waikiki. But the beach was not accessible because of monk seals and you could not eat at the restaurant (which was very expensive) without a reservation. And once you got off the elevators, the central atrium looked like a prison cell block or a Motel 6. There were no decorations of any kind to make the hotel look as inviting or as luxurious as the price would suggest. And while their website suggested there were bicycles for use by guests, it turned out you had to walk to the nearby aquarium, check out a city bike, pay for it, and then the hotel would reimburse you. The trouble was there were rarely bikes available there.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kaimana Beach Hotel. It was clean, the beach was beautiful and a short walk into town. The only hitch was you had to pay for parking or park across the street and pay metered parking.

Beautiful property with million dollar views of the coastline by day and skyline by night from our 7th floor balcony. Street parking can be difficult to find due to popularity of beach front location. Hotel does offer valet parking for $55 per day.
