I did not appreciate the hidden resort fee of $127 upon arrival to the hotel. The parking lot is not free with the hotel and cost a fee of $40 a day. And finally the most outrageous thing of all is the hot tub closing at 9pm every night knowing that people are going out and enjoying the island and getting back late so you can’t enjoy it unless you stay at the hotel or rarely go out to enjoy the beautiful island.

the room was very clean very nice. well decorated etc. the cons though kinda out weigh the pros. the parking is the tightest absolute worst I have ever seen. the elevator system was horrible. only one elevator goes to parking and most of the time you will take a elevator down just to get back on one. lastly ice machine and microwave only on floor 9 and 15 which is a real pain in azz if you’re roomed on the 17th floor. always waiting for a dang elevator. extremely frustrating when i should have been just chillin. the pool was the size of a honda accord.

The property was close to the beach and restaurants. The customer service was excellent. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. The swimming pool was extremely small and always crowded so we just opted for the beach instead. The parking is not free and quickly adds up. The parking has no valet service and the structure itself is very narrow so that took some getting used to. There is a microwave and ice machine on two of the floors. They also have a laundry room but we didn’t use them.

I didn’t like that this property has a pool the size of a bathtub. I called several times prior to my trip for a few questions I had and every time I was met with rude tones and as if I was annoying. I lost my bag and I know I left it there and now they can’t find it which is insane I know I left it there.

This hotel has clean rooms with comfortable beds overlooking a major street which can be noisy at night. The pool is the smallest I’ve ever seen good jacuzzi though. A seven minute walk to Waikiki beach. Good location for the price. At night dangerous for women to walk by themselves though due to street people looking to rob tourists.

Great location because very convenient located. Friendly staff and easy check in. Everything is good except we had a cockroach walking around in the room. Shower head and curtains need to be changed or fixed because extremely old and doesn’t allow good water pressure and not enough water coming out from the shower head. Other than that all is good

The staff members were friendly, but I didn\'t appreciate having to continuously asking for our room cleaning service. I stayed for six nights, but the room was not cleaned for two days, and I did not put the "Do not disturb" sign up. I have to continually telling the staff to clean our room and restock the shampoo and towels. The bed also contains bed bugs, which bite my husband, so I had to request that the bed sheet be changed; I\'m not sure how long it was not changed before we moved into the room.

The staff wasn’t really that accommodating or nice and the property and rooms just seemed a bit dated. I’m not really sure how they have 4 stars. The bathroom had paint peeling everywhere and rust plus the shower was clogged so it was a pool up to your ankles which feels nasty and you have to wait quite awhile for it to go down before the next person can shower if you are with friends. Will not be booking again

We had booked another hotel for 5 nights and decided to extend it. Unfortunately the hotel we booked was sold out for the 1st night we wanted to add, so ended up booking a night’s stay at Waikiki Malia. As soon as we entered the room, it smelled so bad I knew it was going to be a terrible stay. Not sure if it was moldy shower curtain or bathroom floors not cleaned properly, the stench was unbearable. It was 11 pm when we got in and the kids wanted to sleep, we didn’t want to go and try to get another room. The best part of the stay was the fact that it was only for 1 night and we were excited about moving to the next hotel. Need better quality assurance from the housekeeping staff.

Three words, dirty, filthy and avoid! Mold dirt dust all over the ventilation, it shoots out crap everytime the fan turns on. My whole family got extremely sick, spent 5 days in the hotel room cannot go anywhere, vacation ruined. My 4 years old daughter is extremely sick now and is suffering from pneumonia, it breaks my heart!

Biggest complaint- paper thin walls. I could hear the toilet flushing for the people in the room next to me as if it was in my own room. And them talking late at like 3-4am. And outside noise was awful. I don’t usually mind a little noise from outside but there’s a million cars a day that blast their music and kept waking me. Some positives - great location. Very clean and modern rooms compared to a lot of places in Waikiki.

The balcony is super small so it’s really useless. And the gap under the room door is huge, so you can hear the sound from the hallway easily. People can also hear you talk if they walk by your room. So I hope that will be improve. Otherwise the location is pretty good, close to all the shops and the beach. And the parking was ok, it is tight and small, we rented a SUV. It wasn’t as bad as most reviews. Just make sure you drive slowly, you shouldn’t have any problem.

This is an average hotel and is in need of a refresh. Pool and hot tub lacking in space and location. Rooms are comfortable enough but balcony is useless due to lack of size. Staff service and friendliness was good which helped. Location of the hotel is adequate, though noisy as it’s on a major bus route.

Our experience didn't quite live up to what was depicted in the Hotels.com description. The hotel is clean and functional but feels a little dated and worse for wear in general. We also felt duped by the fact that "Pool" was listed as an amenity. The pool is indoor, tiny (smaller than a lap pool) and was positioned into a claustrophobic space with no seating, It truly would feel crowded with more than one person using the pool at once. We ended up not even using that area during our stay. The staff was friendly and responsive and we managed to thoroughly enjoy our stay overall, despite the miss on our expectations.

The first thing I noticed was that we were greeted with a warm welcome and smiles at midnight when we arrived. The lobby was well kept and the staff were very helpful. They explained the parking, recommended different places to eat and some attractions and activities we might be interested in. We were checked on daily via text and if there was any issues it was taken care of promptly. Check out was a breeze although we were sad that we had to leave. Yes I would recommend the Waikīkī Malia.

Perfectly located in the center of Wakiki, surrounded by restaurants, shops and immediately accessible public transportation. If you stay here, there really isn't a need to rent a car. Parking is available at $40 an hour and the area is extremely busy in a vehicle

Location of the hotel is at the heart of Waikiki beach area. Had an amazing view of the baclcony especially in the morning. Close to all restaurants, shopping stores, coffee shops and bus stops. Easy check in and out. Highly recommend!

The hotel is in a great spot. Clean and organized. Everyone is very nice. There is an ihop next to the hotel. The bus route 20 leaves and picks up right next to the hotel to and from the airport. Will be staying here again.

Check in process was easy as you can do it online before you arrive. Front desk staff was very friendly and nice. Room was nice and clean, cold AC, and a cozy small balcony for 2 people. In walking distance of plenty of food places, nightlife, and beach. I felt safe walking around at night by myself.

The hotel is too simple for the price. There is no breakfast. I've asked for a glass and a spoon and they didn't have it. They put a hold on my credit card in the check-in (41 dollars per day) for some fees that included several services that I did not use or even asked for, like laundry services, a safe, etc. Other services that I have used only two days (gym and beach towels). In the check-in they said it was a hold and that I would pay in the check-out, I believed, for what I had used. But in the check-out they charged me for my whole staying all the fees (11 days), the total amount of 456 dollars. When I complained, the receptionist said it was mandatory because I had booked it in expedia, which it does not make any sense, since those were fees for the hotel. It was not fair nor honest.

I would stay here again. McDonald’s is two small builds away, an ice shop in the corner, a massage, a motorcycle rental, a grill cheese shop that popping every day till closing time, a Japanese restaurant, Italian restaurant, just on your right in the corner, once you cross the street. On the left side of the build of Waikiki hotel, is a bar, ihop, and across the street ABC store and hula Mexican restaurant that’s okay but not the greatest. It’s a walking distance to many places beach, to shopping!

The location is very convenient and the hotel is relatively new. However, the service facilities are slightly poor and the rooms on the city side will be very noisy due to the A/C. Expedia's website described the hotel service listed there was breakfast. But upon check in, the front desk talk us the hotel did not have the facility to serve breakfast.
