All was fine until the hotel decided a pool party for a select few was more important than giving peace and quiet to hotel guests. Music running at night club levels from 1pm - 8pm on a Saturday - no chance to relax with such high volumes going on - when speaking to guest services it was a case of “too bad - nothing we can do” - very unimpressed given no notice provided regarding the noise or any efforts to mitigate impact on guests staying at hotel. If you want a quiet stay, go elsewhere!!

Very clean and the black out curtains are great. No hot water at check in, but we did have hot water the next day. The fridge barely worked and we always ran out of towels and toilet paper. The restaurant at the hotel is nice, but a very limited menu and it isn’t open 24hrs a day, as advertised. You cannot park at this location, so you will end up paying the parking fee which is $50 a day.

Overall good other than expensive parking at $50 per night. Street parking very limited and lower floors on the "city view" side are a bit expesive due to being right above the entry. Older but well maintained propoerty. Shared microwave on 2nd floor.

In general the place is great, but they didn’t advertise that parking is either $51 a night valet by the hotel or good luck finding street parking. If you are military though the Hale Koa parking is within walking distance so that worked out. If you’re E1-E6 you can get your ticket verified at the Hale Koa and get cheaper parking. That is my only complaint though. Everything else was great at the Ambassador. Also, if you plan to wash clothes it can be tricky too, but not to big of a deal.

We loved our stay at the Ambassador! The location is great, you can easily walk to the surrounding beaches and the shopping center/restaurants area. It's quiet, the amenities are great - our family ended every day in the pool and we loved it.

All of the amenities were nice, the check-in agents/valets were always helpful and knowledgeable, and valet parking was quick. The pool was closed for a party one night, and the alternative proper was 1 mile away, which was also the location for using your daily beach credits.

I liked the free and discounted beach equipment rentals as well as the bikes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Waikiki beach was only a 15 minute walk away with lots of window shopping on the way. Hotel was very clean and well kept. Restaurant downstairs had amazing food and coffee. We had a great view from our room. Plenty of chairs at the pool for everyone and had a bar at the pool as well as the restaurant downstairs. Lobby was big and had an open concept downstairs, very quiet and peaceful. Included a small fitness room, special events such as pilates at the pool on fridays, microwave, ice machine, small book rental shelf, etc. Free pool towels you could take and easily return in a bin by the pool. I honestly couldn't think of anything I diskliked.

The property is very beautiful, clean, and aesthetic. The front desk staff as well as the guest at the property were very helpful, and kind. Valet parking was an additional fee, but valet staff was quick to retrieve our vehicle. We booked a family suite room, and not only was it very spacious , it was very clean and the décor was very cute. Our room faced the oceanside along Kalakaua Ave., and the scenery was very beautiful at night. I would definitely book another room at this hotel again.

Really disappointed by this hotel. Carpet was filthy. Bottle caps by bed and in bathroom. Wrappers on the floor. Drain in bathroom out with tangled hair. Super gross. If you’re young, single and looking for a crash pad this could be fine for you but definitely don’t recommend for anyone with kids.

I booked this property because of the great reviews it had and the pictures made it seem decent. If you've heard the saying "lipstick on a farm animal" that would hold true to the property in general. The building area where we stayed was spruced up with paint but it was clear the changes were only cosmetic. The carpet in the room was really grungy needing to be replaced or at least cleaned. There was a dead bug in the bathroom which remained despite the "cleaning" that was done during our stay. The sliding door had didn't close tightly so it sounded like the outside world was inside - late at night there were people screaming on the streets and it made me feel unsafe. The partial ocean view was a joke - if you stood at the edge of the balcony, you could espy the ocean. Not worth the extra I paid for sure. Overall I was disappointed with the property due to the lack of general cleanliness and the superficial updates that were done. It just felt dirty and unsafe. It also has mandatory valet parking so means you have to spend even more money for a rental car. This hotel is not close to the beach. I would not recommend nor stay here again.

It has a really cute vibe and design! The staff and valet were really nice. The receptionists and front desk could be dismissive. They don’t clean every day and when they do, they do the bare minimum- like they don’t even take the dirty towels or change linens or remove trash that isn’t fully in the trash can. At one point, I realized they weren’t even wiping the entire counter just around the sink and I would find hair on the floors showing they didn’t fully sweep. Other than that, the restaurant is cool just pricey and food is not the best. It’s in a good location, price can be good but daily fees and valet fees and parking fees can add up super fast. It could get noisy at times as well, made it hard to keep the balcony open especially if you faced the city at all.

I loved my stay here. The rooms are adorable and stylish with up to date, nice furniture. The pool is a great spot to hang out and for pictures. The staff is very nice and I felt very safe staying alone, there is a security guard in the lobby watching everyone come in and out. Great location for walking in Waikiki and even to Ala Moana. There are electric scooters you can rent on your phone, parked right around the corner. I would recommend this place to anyone! Great price for a great place.

We arrived around 1:00. Tried to get an early check in but no rooms were ready, totally understandable because check in was 3:00. I was told they would send a text when it was ready, not too long. We dicided to walk around and get some food. We arrive back at the hotel around 4:15 and the room still wasn't teady and I was asked multiple same questions from the lady that checked us in even though we did pre check in when we originally arrived. And she was the worst, but the majority or the employees weren't pleasant and we didn't feel welcome. The rooms were extremely noisy. You could hear everything going in around you. The ac unit was loud and sounded like it was foing to fall of the wall.

We Loved our stay at the Romer. The staff was so personable - the front desk person who checked our family in even texted after our first day to check in on everything. The hotel was nice and chic - it felt like a boutique hotel though it actually had a lot of rooms. Breakfast was AMAZING! Some of the best food we had on the island. Do not sleep on that papaya bowl. Also, I loved the focus on the Romer being a “neighborhood hotel.” They often had live music or entertainment that felt really genuine/local & fun. They offered discounts at neighborhood businesses and free beach rentals. Great value! Very comfy beds. Quick walk to the beach. Would definitely return!!

The man who checked us in was odd, told me i had to pay an extra 400 down when i showed up even though i payed online already. he looked very nervous. come to find out, i never had to pay 400. The bathtub drain also did not work, had to wait overnight for the water to go down. valet parking was great however. the other workers i spoke with were great at their job. i did not like the first guy that told me i had to pay an extra 400, he was not willing to talk about why either. didn't seem he knew why himself. he said "because there's a nightly resort fee".

We were treated so well by the staff. Some glitches happened, bathroom door jammed and the engineer was there in 5 minutes and so sweet. He removed the door and released my husband and reinstalled it so professionally. The front desk did a great job of pointing us in the right direction even finding my husband when he wandered off. The valets were great about holding our suitcases on the last day so we could get a little more time being tourists. The restaurant next door has delicious croissants and again very kind staff. I love that I could walk to the beach or catch a bus from in front of the hotel to anywhere in Honolulu. We opted to not use the maids much while we were there so I can't say much about them.

The only postive about this hotel is the bed were comfortable. The staff are rude and unfriendly. House keeping poor it too 4 days before someone came to make up our room that was after i rang and asked. When they came all she did was vacuum and flush the toilet that waz it. I rang to ask for clean towels that took 3 hours. There is no instant coffee or tea and they give you paper cups. They have the hide to charge resort fees but don't give anything for that. We stayed 14 days would NOT recommend this hotel. If you want service in which you payed for this is not what you get. Been to Hawaii 8 tomes in the past 6 years and this was our worst experience. They kept saying they cant do anything as we booked through a 3rd party so now i don't know if i would book through expedia again.

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient and the staff is great. I booked a room with a partial ocean view and wasn’t even able to see the ocean at all, not a big deal though. On one of the days, they were testing the emergency alarms from 10am until 4pm. Super annoying. However, when you check-in they require you to pay a $45 (plus tax) “Destination Fee” per guest that covers a cup of coffee, “beach candy” at a resort 20 minutes away, wifi, bike rentals, and a complementary drink, among other unnecessary amenities. When we went to get our complementary drink at the pool we were given an 8oz plastic cup of beer and then we were told that if we wanted to use the cabana’s we need to pay ANOTHER $50 and make a reservation even though no one was sitting in them. In the morning around 8:30am we were informed that the complimentary coffee had run out. Not only were the PAID amenities subpar, there is only one ice machine and one microwave for 19 floors, the coffee maker in the room only came with one cup, there were only 3 sets of towels for a 4 person bedroom, and the carpet and curtains in our room had red stains on them. We needed a late check out due to a flight delay and we received different information from each employee. One of them claimed that it was $30 an hour after check out, one of them claimed it was a day rate if we needed to check out past 2pm, and another requested that we ask a different employee the next day. Honestly, would not stay here again.

For the price this is a great choice in Waikiki. It’s not on the beach, but the upper ocean view rooms have a pretty good view. Beautiful sunset skies. Housekeeping is a little inconsistent, but they do an OK job they provide you with the “Aloha Line“ which allows you to text for any supplies you need The pool area is lovely with a wheelchair lift down the stairs to access the area and a mobile lift available to get into the pool pool towel availability was not plentiful, but they did their best to ensure there were towels available I would think a four star hotel would have a glass glasses and coffee mugs in the room, but only paper coffee cups were provided The wheelchair accessible 16th floor suite was a really nice room. The bed was very comfortable. There was lots of space and a niceroll in shower. Service from all the staff was excellent. All very helpful and pleasant. Food and drinks at the restaurant are great. No decaf espresso, which was kind of a bummer, but they made a great London fog a little on the pricey side Great stay overall. Would’ve been perfect if it would’ve been on the water., but it also would’ve been double the price

We had to call down and speak to a manager to have our room cleaned. The TV was acting up a lot. Otherwise the cafe was delicious, especially the iced vanilla lattes. Pool was lovely and staff were friendly.

Me and my partner stayed at the Romer Ambassador for 10 nights and we very much enjoyed the property. The rooms were extremely modern and comfy. Also the most clean hotel room i’ve ever stayed in. As for the staff, they were lovely and helpful. There’s a great atmosphere in the lobby as there’s always soemthing going on, form live music, to little shopping stalls, to free alcohol and coffee. Overall it was in a convenient location too. Will definitely be staying here again when renting to Waikiki.

This hotel is amazing! Recently renovated, the condition of the rooms and lobby were fantastic. I appreciated all of the extra offerings (nightly reception, breakfast, local discounts). This hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to Waikiki restaurants and shops without being right in the middle of the crowded madness. Staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in town!
