Aqua Palms Waikiki

Hotel is being upgraded on the top floors. Parking is horrible. You need a tiny car to move around the parking garage. It was terrifying. Staff was great. Room was great and clean. Our fridge didnt keep anything cold but i also didnt complain so im sure it would have been dealt with. Overall great experience except parking

I like the location and refill water bottle station. The connivence store is a 1 minute walk. However, there was one cockroach in the hallway.

Great rate, good room, great location. I wouldn't walk alone at night but I wouldn't do that anywhere in Waikiki! Parking is tight so if you have a car it needs to be no larger than full size. There are a few things in the lobby that are a bit dated but overall, I would stay here again. The Front Desk agents were friendly, the room was clean, it was affordable and walkable to Ala Moana and all of Waikiki.

Elevators were out and we had to hike up 8 flights of stairs.

This is our 4th stay with the Aqua Palms and it was good. The ABC country market is open now so it makes eating a lot better & better priced. Water & coffee in the lobby is nice & appreciated. We really like the location.

The rooms facing Ala Moana Boulevard are noisy and the elevators are slow but the rooms are updated and clean.

The property was a bit old and outdated but it was convenient to the beach. Parking is an additional $41 per day, if you choose to park on-site. There are local parking options within walking distance for free during public hours and a small fee afterwards. The photo of the pool isn’t accurate it’s extremely small not suitable for anything other than a toddler with 3ft and 4ft options. The ice machine on the 2nd floor didn’t work. The iHop connected was $12 including a drink for children under 12 and around $21 per person for anyone older per meal. Not worth it in my opinion. Sunny’s for breakfast/brunch around the corner is much more cost efficient. If you’re traveling with kids and need a place to sleep and rest your head this works as just that and NOTHING more. By the time you add the $30 per day resort fee, $40 per day parking fee and the $100 deposit you can choose another hotel location that has those things included in the price for the same honest listed price. I will not book here in the future or recommend it for anyone else.

Parking is extremely tight and expensive but your in hawaii so guess no choice. Overall hotel is in oerfect arra walkable to beach and can just cross street into hilton village and do some shopping and dinning.

Hidden fees! Paid more for "parking" then I did for my car rental and room.

This place was disgusting! Our room looked like it hadn’t even been cleaned just clean towels thrown in- floors were stuck including carpet, shower was dirty, pillows stunk, windows/ mirrors were dirty, fridge was dirty and unbalanced. Let’s just stay I won’t be staying here again! Yuckkk!

Cockroaches

So, staff was very friendly and all but the property was pretty dirty. At least for me, my room had some cracks on the door, the bathroom floor was marked up with some type of pencil? My pillow had a string of black curly hair (my hair is straight and light brown). I didn’t feel like my room was very clean and the property was under construction so there was a bunch of cardboard boxes on the floor and it looked a bit ghetto but.. like I said, the staff was very friendly and helpful when I needed, there was an ihop next door so that was convenient as well but would I stay here again? Probably not

This hotel is centrally located and in walking distance of shops, restaurant and bars. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly.

We stayed at Aqua Palms Waikiki for six nights and absolutely loved it. The room was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed, with the most amazing view and a perfect terrace. The staff were very kind and always there to help with anything. We are more than satisfied and would definitely stay here again!

The noise level at night is extremely loud, the glass should be thicker to block it out. I found hair in my shower upon check in, which made it seem as though it wasn’t properly cleaned and the room had a musty smell as well.

Eyelashes on the back of the door… bottles still in fridge and ants.

What we liked: Check-in was easy and staff were very friendly. Hotel is more updated and modern which seems hard to come by in Waikiki. Rooms were also clean upon check-in. What we didn’t like: Parking was FCFS and I wish it was more guaranteed especially for $40/night. Overall, the room was clean but we did find a cockroach in our room the 2nd last night of our stay and again on the last night.

Great hotel in a good location to the beach. Updated room with microwave and refrigerator. Comfortable bed with large TV with numerous channels.Only negative was NO WIFI in room, and poor water pressure from shower.

This room was clean and worked fine for the two nights we were in Waikiki. For a longer stay I would want more space. It was nice to have a balcony to sit out on even though it faced the back parking lot. No complaints.

Had a partial ocean view room booked and had 10 floor with nice balcony & great ocean views. Perfect. Large room with very comfortable king bed and excellent hot shower. Ice machine outside door & dvd free loan . Pretty much perfect as next week we in the Hyatt Regency so hope it lives up to the Aqua hotel.

We were on the 6th floor and with the sliding glass door shut tight there was a lot of noise from the traffic on the street until late at night.

We stayed at Christmastime and counted this as a "budget" stay. First the PROS: Great location, clean room & property, good water pressure in shower, cold mini fridge/freezer, beach towels available, parking easy to find, friendly staff. The CONS: Room location in building- head of bed was against the wall with the elevators directly behind, was very loud and rattled everytime the elevators were being used, this will be the same on all floors if the room ends in "06", we never had a good night's sleep. This is supposed to be a non-smoking property but the people below us to the left smoked on the lanai multiple times a day- smoke went right into our room. We notified staff but since it was a privately owned unit there was nothing they could do. They couldn't move us because there were no vacancies. We reserved a room with a king size bed, city view but the room had what seemed like a double bed, maybe a small queen, with peek-a-boo Diamond Head and ocean views, bed was very uncomfortable for 2 adults. TV had limited channels and no info. to tells us the guide channel, took awhile to find it ourselves. There was no lighting whatsoever in kitchenette/closet/mirror area, couldn't see enough to utilize, especially at night. The parking garage was extremely tight and difficult to maneuver through, small SUV barley cleared it. All that said, it was a good value, we would stay again in a different room.

The room was small, as is the hotel itself, but the location was excellent and the room had a small fridge and microwave. A very good value for the price. The parking however, was expensive ($40) and the parking spaces small. So glad we got a smaller rental car, it would have been difficult to maneuver inside the parking area with a medium or larger one.

Room 706 was behind the elevators, so quite loud. This was fine for me, but others might not like it.

Very solid hotel. Staff is excellent. Beds are comfortable. Shower is plentiful with hot water. The rest of the room is a little dated, nothing serious. AC however is very loud. I was traveling with several others and their rooms were the same

A very easy place to stay in Waikiki. The traffic noise was surprising loud, even on the 9th floor! But very comfortable room and with balcony door closed, noise was minimal.

This is a great inexpensive place to stay! Aside from the shower water pressure is not that great, our room was tidy but not that clean. There were stains on the couch , and the floor was dirty . The staff was great they moved us to a new room and got a cleaner room but still the water pressure for the shower was still not that great. Other than that it’s still a great place to stay for the price and pretty close to stores and the Waikiki strip . For the price it’s a great way to save money

My boyfriend and I loved it! They text you to let you know if you need room service and they allow you to text to check out. Had an amazing experience and will be coming back

We had a very enjoyable stay, and loved how centrally located the Aqua Palms Waikiki is to the nearby beach, shopping, and dining options. We were able to walk everywhere which was very convenient! There was an issue with the safe in our original room and Lindsay at the front desk went above and beyond to help us sort out a move to a different room, which ended up being more spacious and had an even better view! Mahalo to all of the staff here who were friendly and very attentive. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff were so friendly, professional and kind. The properttt os right across the street from Hilton Waikiki Village and beach. Down the road is the army museum and downtown Waikiki. Everything is in walki g distance. I felt safe at the hotel. You're right on the main road, depending on where your room is lo ated it may be a bit loud. I slept just fine. Because of the staff, I will always come back to Aqua Palms. The price was great too.

Lobby and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not receive maid service as promised, every other day. Don’t eat at Ihop, way overpriced and not great. Way better options in the area. Would recommend the hotel though and would return.

Staff friendly. But we weren't happy with the booking and some service. When we arrived at Aqua Palms, the front desk told us the room we booked was for 2 people and our room was ready. I did not think it would be an issue until we went to our room and discovered it was a small room with a king bed and a sofa pull out bed. I went and spoke with the front desk and told them we had booked a room with 2 queen beds and showed them our booking. The kind lady said they have had some issues with "3rd party bookings" such as the one we used with Expedia and receive the incorrect booking such as for us they said they received it as 2 people and not 3 people. I asked for another room and requested one that we had booked and was told none was available at this time. Our only option would be to check out of the room at noon tomorrow and wait in the lobby with all our luggage and hope another room with 2 queen beds would open up. We were tired from our long flight and we needed to shower and rest and had unpacked our luggages already so we decided to just stay in the room and make it work. The hotel cleans the rooms every other day so for 6 nights they would clean the room for two days. The second cleaning never came. We had to request our room to be cleaned. For the room, carpet had stains, pull out sofa had stains. Bathroom sink faucet was too high pressure and splashes all over. We also were not offered any compensation for the wrong room.

I had a great stay! Every staff member was wonderful and lots of help if needed. The location is very close the main beach. The hotel is very clean and safe. I can’t wait to come back!

The “automatic lock” system of the door is broken, and every ten minutes, there is a sound similar to the door being unlocked. At first, we were terrified, thinking someone was trying to open our door. The first night, we couldn’t sleep at all because of the noise. The next day, I asked for it to be repaired, but no one came all day. That evening, someone came to check but said they couldn’t fix it and would call a technician the next day. However, six nights passed, and no one came to repair it. Eventually, we had no choice but to get used to it. The room is right next to a busy street, so it gets extremely noisy if the windows are not closed. Also, we booked the room for four people, but housekeeping only provided two towels every other day. If we wanted extra towels, we had to call the housekeeper, and it would take half an hour for them to deliver. In terms of service, I’d give it 2 stars.

When i got there, thelady said i had reserved a city view room. When i pointed out the "partial ocean view" written on my Expedia Confirmation, she upgraded us.....But, she blamed Expedia for the mix up. I felt she was simply lying,in hopes i had no printed literature. The hotel was basic and okay, but i witnessed the staffgiving someone with mobility issues a different room than they had reserved

Overall a good stay and good value for money. We did have a number of issues during our stay which could/should have been avoided: *All the lifts broke down for hours one day which meant everyone had to carry all their stuff up and down 14 flights of stairs. *We had 4 people staying in our room but only 2 towels, we asked for 2 more and then the room got cleaned and only left us with 2 towels again. *The shampoo and body wash was left empty after being cleaned so we had none the last 2 days * The safe was locked open when we arrived, this should be checked when cleaning the room for the next guest

It is in a great location - walkable to both the Ala Moana Shopping Center & the beach. The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable.

Staff was very welcoming, location is right across the Hilton, and no less than a 5 min walk to the beach.

2 nights stay before my cruise trip. The location is very convenient to access the beach, shopping mall and cruise terminal. There is supermarket just next to the door, you grab food as your breakfast or dinner which is very good price.

This is perfect location right next to the Hilton Hawaiian village and easy fast access to the beach!

Loved the location

Just two blocks away from the beach. Bus to airport is right at the hotel’s front door. It is very easy to find many restaurants, shops, grocery stores nearby.

Great location. The bus stops out the front door to go to the shopping centre. The restaurant next door called ihop has excellent food and is open for breakfast,lunch and Dinner. The discount card was a bonus. The staff were all friendly.

You are nearby many restaurants or locations that have resturants like Ala Moana which walking distance from the hotel, so very convenient. The room itself is very clean and has your basic needs in them, the beds are not too soft or hard, so i slept pretty well on them.

It was just a place to stay, nothing special; the I-HOP next door IN the building is OVERPRICED and UNDERSTAFFED. Your better off going out the hotel entrance, turn right and at BUS stop, look to right; very nice restaurant withy excellent food, priced about average for Honolulu. Aqua Palms is handy for certain things only.

Pleasantly surprised by the balcony overlooking Ala Moana. We could even see the ocean with sailboats from our balcony. Parking is a bit expensive but i guess that's to be expected with the limited space in Honolulu. The hotel is close to stores and restaurants. Nice pool. Small bathroom. Showing its age but i would stay there again.

Great location, friendly staff, easy Uber and bus rides to anywhere. I only wish the room was a little larger and the microwave wasn't on the upper shelf. The laundry area was also a nice bonus. They offer a discount to IHOP but the food there isn't very good at all. I preferred just walking around the corner and getting Mcdonalds if you want a quick breakfast or going across the street to Starbucks.

Stay was excellent. Hotel is nextdoor to Ihop and country market that has food drinks and everything. The Bell Hop Guy is very nice and helpful. The coffee in the lobby is an excellent touch. Love the Aqua Palms. Can't wait to come back.

All staff members are warm and professional. My room 802 is partial ocean view and very big room! There’s a brand new market next to this hotel. They have everything including fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade pizzas, burgers, salads, sweets, clothes and souvenirs and etc…
