The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club - NO AMENITY FEE

Love. Love. Love this place. Great for families but was perfect for non kid having folks like us during adult hours. Love the adult swim time, the restaurant and the coffee shop! Cute rooms, comfy beds and great balconies. Near everything.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It's in an excellent location in Waikiki with lots of restaurants and attractions close by. The staff is so friendly and the showers and water pressure are excellent! The pool and hotel restaurant have great entertainment and fresh dining options. Overall a great location with great amenities and a WONDERFUL staff.

Our stay was great! Location was excellent, service was excellent and the bar and restaurant were excellent. Live music every night was a plus. Only wish they had on site parking but the parking was only a 5 minute walk away, no biggie especially since parking is free!

We stumbled across SurfJack and LOVE IT! it’s a sweet boutique hotel with many thoughtful amenities and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location, sunscreen dispenser, cheap cheap parking ($10/ day 3 blocks away), swimming pool, morning coffee…. We are definitely coming back!

Fantastic find. A beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance to Waikiki, International Marketplace and several shops and restaurants. Easy access to major roads to get you in and out of Waikiki. Great restaurant on site. Nice pool area. We will return. IHOP close by but I wouldn't bother going there. Poor service, lots of people waiting, several tables open or not cleaned with staff standing around chatting.

This hotel is a true gem. The front desk was so helpful. They had free sunblock for us to use and the pool is super cute. The bed was comfortable and we didn’t hear any street noise. We would definitely stay again!

Would definitely stay here again (and likely will the next time I'm here). The location is PERFECT and they provide free parking at the Hyatt Centric (which is a 3 min walk). Other reviews have complained about the parking being off-site, but honeslty, free parking in Hawaii (when it's normally $40 /night) is a great perk, even if it's slightly off-site. They give you a fob for your entire stay so you can go in and out with ease. The hotel itself is SUCH a vibe. The pool is nice and clean with chill music playing most of the time, the poolside bar/restaurant is delicious, rooms are clean and spacious with a deck to dry your wet clothes. The bathrooms are slightly small but definitely manageable. The staff here is INCREDIBLE; everyone is so friendly and so incredibly accommodating. Out by the pool there's a water dispenser to fill up your bottles (and the water actually tastes good) AND they even have a reef-safe sunscreen dispenser! Every morning they also set up a coffee and tea bar. I honestly can't say enough good things about this hotel and will definitely be back!

Nice relaxing atmosphere! Parking is easy to get to for keeping the rental car. On location restaurant has awesome food and loved the nightly entertainment. Just a few blocks to Waikiki Beach!

I booked 3 rooms for myself and my family from the end of October to beginning of November. In one of our rooms, we found multiple cockroaches. The first night we saw them we said no problem we'll try to be understanding and ignore it. But then we saw them a second night and figured this was unacceptable for a 4 star hotel that we paid a premium for. We alerted the front desk of this situation and we had photos and videos of the cockroaches with us. We were told by the man at the front desk that "cockroaches are common in tropical areas, they are more scared of you than you are of them." We were told to ignore them and we were offered a voucher for a meal at their hotel (not sure who would have an appetite to eat at a place with cockroaches). We instead politely asked for a different room but the front desk person refused and was annoyed with our request. After a long discussion he reluctantly agreed and we received a new room for that night. In addition to this, the rooms are not the cleanest. My son walked around our hotel for 5 minutes and his feet were black. Dust in the corners and bird poop all over the balcony. I would expect better service from a 4 star hotel and am very disappointment with the way my family was treated. I have never seen cockroaches at the other hotels I have stayed at in the area. I would not recommend staying at the Surfjack hotel. Save your money and book elsewhere

The room was very charming, with a spacious balcony overlooking the canal — especially beautiful in the morning. Every night there was live music, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making my stay even better. The room and bath were clean.

Great location and cute hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated but not really clean. There was sand everywhere and the AC smelled funny. Staff was great and it was really convenient. Parking is off property and a bit of a walk.

In this case, the photos showed this property in a much better light. The elevator looked like it was in poor condition and ready to break down, the walls were thin, there was sand on the floors in our room and it felt like the hotel had a “landlord makeover” where nothing is updated, paint is just added to make it look “like new”. Originally booked for four nights, checked out after one to go to a different hotel. Staff was accommodating when we requested to check out early.

The staff we're great, always attentive and helpful but unfortunately the quality of the rooms different meet the mark and we're also quite dirty.

I went to complain to reception and spoke to a guys called Chris... He really didn't care and made us feel like we were bothering him to ask to change our rooms. Finally a manager gave the OK for our room to be changed then he expected a tip for moving our bags... YIKES. THEN we were told we would be refunded 1 night of our stay due to the INFESTATION and would arrive in my bank account in 5 business days... its been over 2 weeks with no refund received... Ive now sent them 2 emails with no reply and attached the video of the bugs crawling in the bed .... DON'T STAY HERE! Staff seem to hate their jobs, poor customer service, poor hygiene.

Balcony was disgusting and faced the parkade and looks like it was never cleaned but the rest of the hotel was very clean. The front desk staff was less than sub par and one guy gave a lot of attitude when questioning the billing that he made confusing and unnecessary.

It offered a pool and was in a 1950’s kind of setting. The bed was comfortable and the staff was fantastic. The floors in our room were obviously not cleaned as they turned my feet black and the menu could use more regular food items for dinner. The bar could also use some better drink options too. The parking is 2 blocks away which sucks.

If you're staying in Waikiki then I would highly recommend this place. I wasn't prepared for just how noisy it would be, so ear plugs are essential, but otherwise it is a gorgeous venue, the staff are superb, and Jack is adorable and higly worth feeding some treats to. Only other negative thing is that the beds are quite hard, (which is unpleasant for a side sleeper like me), but my wife found it really comfortable.

The hotel is close to the main street, but it is still quiet at night. There are no desks in the room. The room is clean, and they had a hair dryer, body soap, shampoo, and treatment. It's a good hotel for solo trip and with friends.

Fabulous hotel room. Great location. Easy parking with minimal expense of $10. Loved the pool and live music night. The performer was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The only improvement would be to improve the shower head. It sprayed in multiple directions.

Pool was cold, but everything was good otherwise. We ended up with a free upgrade to a two bedroom suite, and there was lots of space. Room was quiet and well kept, no issues at all.

My stay at Surfjack Hotel was great. I choose a more boutique-local hotel rather than a chain highrise. As you enter the property you’re immersed with Hawaiian Vibes, the central pool with lots of seating surrounding lush greenery. Daily coffee from 7am-11am and a nice restaurant overlooking the pool. The front reception was very welcoming and held my bags as I arrived super early. When I returned to check in, I was upgraded to a Suite! Although this hotel isn’t brand spanking new, the room was comfortable, the balcony offered a nice table and chairs to sit outside, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower had excellent pressure. Thank you Surfjack for making my stay so enjoyable.

Staff was SUPER friendly!!! The hotel was nice- but if you are picky - maybe not for you! We could hear the guy next door snoring - so the walls are thin. Our A/C or something was buzzing all night. The view out the back balcony is very unappealing (residents balconies not nicely kept). Beds - very comfy!!! Pool and sitting area - VERY welcoming! Again- staff- GREAT!! Location - mega easy access to so many things - we walked so many places and tons of food options. So if you are low key/laid back - 100% recommend- I would stay again!!! Parking is brutal in garage a few blocks away!!!

Nice boutique hotel approx. 10 minutes from Waikiki beach. Rooms nice, partially poorly soundproofed.

Overall great experience at the Surfjack. The staff was absolutely amazing! Super cold A/C and everything working well in our room. Only drawbacks were - in a standard room with 2 queen beds, there is barely anywhere to sit except the beds. One chair, and hardly anywhere to sit your things down on. The little balcony was nice and we enjoyed our Kona coffee (that the hotel provides at 7am each morning). PARKING - $10/day that you pay for at the hotel, is 2 blocks walk away. No problem there and it’s the cheapest parking you will find around. Thank you Surfjack!

A little dated with fixtures

The vibe at this Hotel was amazing. I traveled with my mom for her 65th birthday, The staff show her such a good time that she is already a return trip. Champagne in the room , Flowers on her birthday and everyone on staff wishing her a happy birthday through out our week vacation. Thank You SurfJack your Team did a fantastic job

I have to say, this place truly made my trip. From the front desk staff every single one of them to the room itself, everything was great. It’s a charming spot with a laid back Hawaiian vibe, featuring live music every evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The onsite restaurant and bar are excellent, and the location is perfect, 4 minutes walk to the beach, you can literally can walk everywhere. I highly recommend to rent a scooter to go all the south east coast or just around. The rooms are a comfortable size, clean, modern, and cozy. What stood out the most was the staff: incredibly friendly, polite, and always eager to help.

The best customer service from check in to check out. Staff there was very accommodating to your needs. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many stores, restaurants, and the beach. The 4 out of 5 rating is because the staff misinformed us about parking options. There were several people who worked the front desk and each one gave us a different answer about where we could park.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Surfjack hotel. The reception and cleaning teams were exceptional, super friendly and always helpful. We really appreciate the upgrade to a one bedroom suite - it was so spacious and comfortable. Our room was on the 7th floor and very quiet and clean. No resort fee, the $10 parking pd fee in a garage nearby, and daily free coffee was a huge perk! We came back to this hotel after staying there once in 2018 as we loved it back then too and I’m sure we will be back!

They renovated an older hotel so it has a newer look and feel. Rooms are nice, balcony is big, and the ground floor has a pool, couches, a restaurant, and a coffee shop. Overall, a nice vibe. Location is great -- 10 min walk to beach, shopping malls, target, and lots of restaurants. Would stay again.

The surfjack hotel is located at an ideal area for transport, shopping, beaches, and restaurants. The Arvo cafe, at the reception of surfjack, is a great place to grab a coffee and head to the beach. Plus, Jack the dog, was a highlight.

Near the beach without the beach price. Dog friendly. Good live music at night.

Pretty hip and stylish. Great coffee shop in the lobby downstairs. Nice spot to have as a base to explore Waikiki without being in the most chaotic and busy spots on the main strip.

Nice hotel if you want to be in the heart of Waikiki. A bit noisey since it’s close to the main road but overall great. Would stay again

Excellent stay, good quality rooms, well situated to the beach and local restaurants, hotel restaurant/bar very good prices. Not all the rooms face the pool (and also get little direct sun) but this was a minimal issue, we loved our stay and will be back!

It was cute in the pictures, but the dining menu never changed, there were termites, the cleaning staff didn’t come everyday, they appeared to be challenged by a lack of staff. That said the food in the restaurant was good and it had a great coffee shop.

The hotel has a great vibe to it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I love the free hot coffee in the morning and the free parking that it offers. The free parking is only a couple of blocks away which is closer than anticipated. The restaurant inside the hotel serves great food and the live music every night was a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again. My only critique, and this pertains to all of Hawaii, why are there no recycling bins?
