Waikiki Circle Hotel by Castle

Great Hotel, nothing fancy but direct across the street from Waikiki Beach. Either direction is shopping all price ranges. Beach beautiful and 5 min across the street. No pool but across the street is your pool...

The location of the hotel was great, but the room and hotel itself was very small and outdated. Only two small elevators for the whole hotel, guest parking is very limited and expensive $45 a night. The "amenities" offered on the website are a joke. We never received the free sand toys that are listed on the website for each room, when we asked we were told we could use whatever other guests had left in the parking lot. Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend and won't stay again.

As always, a clean, comfortable stay. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and we were only steps away from the beach without having to pay “on-the-beach” prices. There were only two downsides during this stay. One was that one of the two elevators was out of service for most of our two week stay. The repair company was there working on it and its operation was up and down. Also, from our balcony, we could smell the cigarette smoke from smokers who went down just below us from not only the hotel’s guests, but also from the guests from the neighboring hotel. Overall it was a great stay and we’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit Oahu.

The hotel is in a nice beachfront location and walkable to a lot of things. The hotel itself is old, thin walls, furnitures old, resort fees and parking is expensive and very very small, amenities are almost non-existent but location is perfect. The people that works there from front desk to housekeepers are very nice and accommodating. The room we got was room 505 has a 360 views of waikiki beach, beds were ok, AC was noisy but you get used to it, safe deposit, small ref and keurig machine with coffee, cream and sugar supplies you can ask for if needed more. Their coconut shampoo, condtioner, body soap, lotion and soap are plenty and convenient for me and my husband. I didnt even use my own since it was good for my skin and hair. Beach towells, ice and filtered water are provided for you in the front desk as well as access for free movies but we've never use it. When we were in hotel, we were in balcony mostly people and beach watching.Bring your own water bottles to keep refilling it otherwise you can use the hotel's free water bottles given to you at check in. Restaurant below is good and popular. Parking is $45, limited and difficult but if you have a disability placard bring it with you. Hotel has 2 space outside their lobby that is spacy and convenient better than their small parking below. Location is what your paying for. The beach is right outside, just cross the street and has a boundary that helps with the strong waves. Very much recommended.

Tiny rooms, they ran out of parking space and sent me to three garages that were also soldout. Parked on a meter right by the hotel. Location is great

My first impression walking out of the elevator to our room was that the walls and doors to the rooms are very dirty. Not a good impression. The rooms were clean enough but really need a good updating.

Absolutely terrible!!!! The only positive about this stay was the view, but that’s any hotel on that street. I got bed bugs after staying at this hotel.

I had to leave the property with no refund, it was a terrible experience, the air conditioner water the room smell like moldy, mildew, and dirty. I was totally unhappy with my experience.

The location is perfect! There is a very popular pancake restaurant on the ground floor, and they give us 10 percent discount. The only one thing that disappointed us was a cockroach found on the wall at night. Luckily they made an action quickly, and moved us to the other room. However,it was a horrible experience and it happened at the first night. We had to be scared of them for the rest of stay at the hotel.

Awesome location, CLEAN! People were very friendly and helpful too. It is an older building but you get a discount because of that, so it's great.

Very clean , the location is superb and the staff were very pleasant. I travelled with my mom who finds it hard to walk around , with Aston circle's ocean view she was able to enjoy her stay at the comfort of our room

Fabulous location, superb views, super clean room. No amenities like pool or lounges to speak of but we didn’t miss them. Staff were always cheerful. Top spot.

The view and balcony on this property was amazing. Didn’t like how small the room was and the restroom area.

The location & the friendly staff - these are the only good things about this extremely outdated facility occupied by the typical rude door slammers and hallway shouters - at 04:00 AM!!! Also, you’ll be glad to know that some guests blare filthy rap songs w/ their balcony door open.The cheapest mattress you can buy, when combined with the air conditioner racket & the hallway noise, will ensure that you will never have a good night’s sleep. But luckily, in your groggy state of mind, you can step into the miniature bathroom and take a cold shower with a weak spray that will guarantee you’ll have to stand under the water for at least 20 minutes to get all of the soap off. If you’re taller than about 5’10”, you’re probably going to bang your head against the shower head several times (I’m 6’3”). This hotel obviously hasn’t been renovated since at least the 1970s, if then. Finally, we never had a problem with parking in the tiny, $45 per day underground facility but considering the number of spaces in relation to the number of floors and rooms in this hotel, I can imagine that at times, there is a great deal of disappointment over available space. In summary, this place is a dump in an awesome location with a lovely staff. If you’re a “party animal” who typically falls into bed completely drunk, you’ll probably be glad you saved some money staying here so you can buy more alcohol. If you’re a civilized person who needs rest every night, this might not be the place to stay.

Can't beat location, staff was helpful and pleasant. Hotel itself is on the older side, rooms could use some TLC. Unfortunately only 1 elevator was working, stayed 5 nights. Room felt a bit tight for 4 but overall it's a good choice.

This property is right across the street from the beach. Rooms are small but clean with a small balcony to do some beach/people watching. Bathroom is small with a very small shower but water was hot with adequate pressure. Location was walkable to everything in that area

mgr said to upgrade room for 40.00. balcony was unusable because the was brutal, the metal chairs are so hot you can't sit on them. The view did include the ocean as well as driveway, entry, extreme traffic noise. Had to keep shades closed because the small in wall A/C could not handle the heat. Room temperature was 80f. Balcony was acessible from roof below which did not make me feel secure. basic hotel without amenities in a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very unique hotel located in the heart of Waikiki beach. The hotel is well kept, staff is so friendly, bedding is amazing and coffee is included. Our room was ocean view so the room was over the road which is very noisy but the hotel installed sliders and when closed it’s quiet. We were able to sit on our porch and bed and people watch for hours. We had a room with 2 beds so there was little room to walk around and the bathroom/shower was small but it was worth every penny. There’s a breakfast restaurant on the first floor open until 1p and a McDonalds next door as well as several restaurants and food truck down the block. Just a few short block walk from the international market. We loved it. Parking is very limited so plan accordingly.

It was loud from the a/c, traffic and hall way etc. Old and dated.

Can’t beat the location and view. Go for the ocean front upper floor room for stunning views. Beach and everything you want in Waikiki is steps away. Rooms are small, but with the views you’ll want to be on the balcony anyway.

The hotel is located directly across from the beach so not a big deal that there is no pool. The staff are all excellent, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Always service with a smile. The room and bathroom are adequate for a vacation, very comfortable beds. I only wish that there was a soap dish in the shower. Thank you everyone at the hotel for another wonderful vacation. See you next year!

Check in was great, front desk staff very friendly.

From check in the man checking us in was so rude and disrespectful he act like it was a bother to help us check in wooden. Let us know about parking. We had to wait till the next day to speak to someone else. Luckily, they helped us out a little bit more still didn’t have information about parking I had to park three blocks away then on our third day we finally got parking for the last two nights. they couldn’t figure out how much our bill was due to the fact that we gave a deposit before arriving when we booked so they were very off and unprofessional about how much we still owe to overcharge trying to shame me and ask me how much cash I had on me, which is none of their business so I said none and the guy was like who goes on vacation with no cash. I feel like only housekeeping was the best person that was kind wouldn’t come back to this place.

The fabulous location really made this stay one of the best we’ve had. The staff is so welcoming and happy to help any time you need them. The rooms were clean and cozy, and we had a spectacular ocean view.

Staff was very vague about the process upon check in and was told at check out I would be refunded my security deposit and then when it wasn’t refunded back to me I called hotel Manager who was extremely rude and unprofessional all while asking me irrelevant questions that have nothing to do with my security deposit.

Had a wonderful time staying here with my friends! The employees were all very friendly and nice and welcoming! John at the front desk was very friendly! He had someone show us our room and then show us another room for just a little bit more… and we did it! And everyone had a wonderful time with an awesome view! I will always stay here when I come!

We upgraded our room to a full ocean view. Had a great view of Waikiki Beach. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. An older property but well kept up. Can’t beat the view of the beach

Awful place! Don’t ever stay here. They ended up charging me an additional $451 upon arrival when everything was already paid for. No pool, no workout room, not even a microwave in the room, no ice machine, no vending machines. Awful unhelpful staff. Super disappointed.

Staff in the front desk makes the difference. They were accessible and courteous all the time.

We have stayed at the Waikiki Circle before and really liked the hotel. The views we had from our room are great. The staff is very pleasent and helpful.

The location can't be beat.

This hotel is located directly across the street from the beach. It was nice to get your towels from the front desk and drop them off there and not worry about sand in your room. Restaurants, shopping, bars and even McDonald's is just next door so convenience was AWESOME. Had an ocean front room and the view was great.

Location, location, location! Everything you can think of in a vocation is around corner. Beach, good local food, fancy restaurants, stores, you name it! The staff are very nice. You will love it

Comfortable, no frills, and a great location right across from Kuhio Beach. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! Grab a beverage from the store downstairs and enjoy the unobstructive view from your lanai. We always stay here!

The housekeepers were friendly and efficient And the front desk staff was as well. We had the 2 best breakfast options at the foot of the hotel and next door. We were right in the center of the beach activity. Room 905 overlooking the beach was quiet at night despite being next to the elevator

We enjoyed our stay at the aston waikiki circle hotel.It was handy to everything shops the beach.The only thing i want to say was it was very hard to get into the onsite restaurant.

We had an ocean/beach facing room. The sliding door and blinds open completely, allowing the beach breeze to come through the room. We loved waking up and grabbing breakfast from "Eggs and Things" downstairs, and eating it on the balcony watching the early morning surfers. The room was clean, beds were comfy! Loved the facilities provided. The staff were great, made things feel super safe and cozy. The beach is literally across the street. Everything else is super walkable (food, entertainment, etc). Will be staying here again!

We liked the views (we had an ocean view room) and the location across the street from the beach. It was nice having everything within walking distance (restaurants, shopping) The rooms were nice and the staff was friendly. Would stay again for sure. Oh and the attached restaurant Eggs and Things was a treat. Gets packed and long lines (we noticed between 6am-7am we didn’t have to wait very long. After 8am it was a 50-7min wait… worth it)

Waikiki Beach is nearby, the view from the window is great, and the Eggs 'n Things on the 1st floor had a 10% discount, so I would like to use it again.

EXCELLENT location within Waikiki, directly across from the beach and a couple minutes’ walk to the International Marketplace. On-site parking is tight and limited but safe. The property is decent. It’s a bit tired but overall in good condition. No real amenities but incredible location. Attached out front is a super popular breakfast type joint. Go EARLY or stand in line. Not a “resort” type property, but would stay again due to the location and value
