Directly across from the beach—1 minute walk, mostly waiting for the crosswalk. Close to shopping and restaurants and not far off the freeways, but like most hotels in Waikiki, it’s busy and sometimes noisy. Right next to the zoo with free street parking. Too expensive to park at the hotel so we had to walk a few blocks. Restaurant vouchers for the adjoining Lulu’s was great so we didn’t have to pay very much for breakfast or lunch. Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful.

Absolutely amazing stay! The hotel is perfectly located—just steps from Waikiki Beach and super close to shops, restaurants, and even summer events like the festival we caught. They offer valet parking, but we found cheaper parking just across the street at the zoo so there’s many options. The hotel has an ABC store inside which was super convenient. We also loved the Beach Candy shop where hotel guests can rent free complimentary beach gear. The staff was incredibly kind, and the ocean view from our room was breathtaking. Would 100% stay here again!

The hotel was okay, but I only gave it 3-stars because the sheets were stained, and the pool looked nothing like the picture. It really needed some work, like a new paint job on the bottom and better upkeep. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay! It was super convenient having an ABC store (groceries/drinks/clothes/souvenirs) attached to the hotel.

The property was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was excellent for the most part. If it had some minor updating in rooms, it would’ve gotten 5 stars. We like our room about 68 degrees. We had the air set on 60 degrees but it didn’t feel 60 so we asked for a fan and they gave us one to use while we were there. We were vacationing for 7 days and enjoyed our stay. They also have a store downstairs connected to hotel, which was very convenient. We will stay there again when we go back. Everything was nice but I can’t give it a 5 star review unfortunately . The place is nice close to the beach but as for parking there is a $52 fee per night / valet parking only . That was the surprise:/ not a pleasant one .

The pool could use some maintence. There was chunks of concrete coming off on the sides. But all in all great place to stay. Clean and friendly staff. The street is noisey during the day but the beach is right in front of you. Walking distance to everything you need. If you drink coffee, brew it in your room. There is always a line for the one machine downstairs. A very beautiful place to stay.

The room was fine for what we needed as we were only staying 2 nights before moving on to our next location but if we were staying any longer I would have stayed elsewhere. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are a different story. Old and run down and our room smelled like mildew which is why I didn’t give a higher rating. We also had to pay $5 to rent sand toys for the kids which I realize is not a lot but I did expect it to be free. The location is great as you can walk across the street to the beach and to many restaurants etc.

Park Shore Waikiki was excellent. Awesome location across the street from the beach and the Zoo. Everything we needed was onsite or very nearby: an ABC Store entrance off the Lobby, four onsite restaurants (LuLu’s Waikiki was phenomenal), and lots of amenities. The room was clean and simple, beds were comfortable, and the AC was able to keep the heat at bay. There are “Sunrise Decks” (on 16 and 17) that overlook Diamond Head. While we didn’t wake up to watch the sunrise, I did overhear other guests say that it was cool (and even heard lions roaring from the Zoo). Even not during sunrise, it’s a pretty view. While there is a resort fee, this is the first time that I’ve actually used the amenities that were provided as part of said fee. Usually those fees go towards things like the fitness center, pool, etc. While those are offered here also, there was so much more: sunscreen and Cool Down lotion, filtered water refill station, beach towels, billiards and foosball tables, coffee/espresso station, and equipment rentals at an adjacent business, Beach Candy, for beach chairs, umbrellas, and body boards. (Quick note about Beach Candy, we were unable to rent umbrellas 3 of the 5 days during our stay because it was “too windy”. There were still tons of umbrellas on the beach during those days, so it seems like this is just the policy at this particular shop. Also, all items are first come first serve, so go early). Overall, I would highly recommend Park Shore Waikiki.

Superior location to the beach, shopping and dining with magnificent view in our ocean view room. Property and rooms were clean with good amenities, and a beautiful lobby. HOWEVER, significant upgrading and freshening up is needed for this aging property to the common areas, hallways and doors, balconies and walkways to the ocean view rooms. i felt like I was in a public housing project or musty motel when on my way to my room. Glad it was only one night.

We arrived and the room was very dirty. Mold in multiple places, stains and hairs on the bedding and pillow cases, the shower and tub were stained, the curtains were filthy, the walls were covered in black scuff marks, and the hallways smelled terrible. Although the staff was incredibly kind, we would not stay here again. It is not as advertised in the photos at all.

Our room was dirty, behind the toilet wasn’t cleaned, there was sand on the floor, when you pulled back the sheets on the mattress you could see the springs because the mattress was coming apart, in the bathroom there was hair from the people before us, we never had a floor rug (we were using hand towels for outside of the shower until our 5th day because the cleaner came by and we asked for one not realizing they even offer them) I thought we were just going to receive another hand towel so it was surprising when we got the proper rug. Location is amazing but then you realize how much more you can get at other hotels in the area. Over the years, they remodeled the lobby, but their rooms need a lot of TLC. I will say when you book a room on the pool floor, you will hear everyone dropping their weights at the crack of dawn. It is so loud that it woke us up for most of our stay. And I’m talking 6:00-7 AM in the morning. Management continually checked in on us, which was nice so I hope they take this feedback and use it to improve the facility.

The room was clean, and the beds are comfy. Bathroom was clean and well kept. The lighting could of been a little brighter. The staff was definitely super courteous and helpful. Kai took extra time to help me choose the right room once I arrived. The view from our room was spectacular. I highly recommend this place.

My bed had a nasty stain on it. After 2 complaints to the hotel they finally addressed the issue. The stain looked like dried blood. It wasn’t a tiny stain, it was the size of my foot and I wear a 12 in men’s. Other than that property is pretty dope. There’s a ABC store attached to it, 5 minute walk to both the beach and zoo.

Beautiful view of the mountains and ocean. Our King room on the 7th floor was comfortable but the noise from the corner made it very hard to sleep. So we were able to move to a higher floor which helped. However, the noise from the street still made it difficult to sleep. This is not a great spot if you want a peaceful night's rest.

The location was amazing! Steps from the beach and right in the heart of Waikiki. The staff were all really nice and friendly. Our room was really small. It says it slept 4 but it would’ve been unbearable with four people in there, and I don’t know where all the luggage would go. It was fine for 2 adults and our teens in a separate room. Some things seemed a little worn- like paint. Could hear a lot from the hallways, but other guests seemed pretty quiet so it wasn’t a big problem.

The stay overall was good and the service was friendly. The hotel lobby is modern and updated, which makes a great first impression when you walk in. However, once you head up to the rooms, it feels misleading. The elevators and rooms are outdated, the beds had tears, and the furniture is in need of replacement. On the positive side, it was quiet and very convenient to everything. With some updates to match the lobby, this hotel could be much better.

Fantastic location, great view. Staff were really good, too. However, I wish they updated some interiors, and my room, particularly, had a noisy air conditioning. I did not bother complaining, and just turn on whenever needed, but, please fix noisy air conditioning. It can be deal breaker for some people in hotter season.

We had the “1 King Bed, Corner (Ocean Front)” room. The view was spectacular: we could see the whole Diamond Head, the sea, all the way to the airport. The sunsets and sunrises were absolutely fantastic. The street noise was okay with the sliding door closed. The AC did its job. With the doors opened we could hear the waves very well, between the busses, the aircrafts, the mopeds, the roosters, the garbage trucks, the delivery trucks and the vagabonds playing their loud music. The hotel is a bit dated. There was a microwave and a mini fridge that froze our food. We had to buy wine glasses, bowls and a few cutlery. We also got pillows, as we don’t like giant puff balls. Monserrat Ave. offers free street parking, if you don’t mind walking. Stay clear of any temporary tow away signs: you might get towed regardless of the hours displayed. The hotel staff wasn’t helpful in locating our towed car: instead of helping us figuring it out, they suggested we call 911. They weren’t much help either when my wife came walking in, struggling, carrying multiple bags: the three staff members who weren’t busy just looked at her walk by. It seems like if they just changed a few things that doesn’t require that much effort or money, the experience would’ve been a lot better.

We were at the Park Shore for all of ten minutes before we witnessed a drug pick up. What looked like a homeless person walked in, collected what looked like a black bag from behind the ATM, and walked out again. Travis on the front desk explained that ‘this is Waikiki, the amenities are not just for guests’, which is an odd response to hearing of a drug deal in their lobby, essentially acknowledging that this is common practice. (It’s worth noting that hotel lobbies in Honolulu are generally completely open access. We subsequently stayed in the Marriott almost next door with much the same set up, but has not been a problem.) This occurrence was the final of a few straws. We didn’t need to see our room to know that it is a very dated hotel. We used the bathrooms which were unclean, as much as in need up renovation. Travis was also not particularly welcoming, on top of being completely dismissive of our account. We landed early and went to the hotel to leave our bags. We enquired whether there was any chance of an earlier check in, to which his response was ‘well, check in is at 3’, rather than being polite. We could have overlooked the unwelcoming welcome, and the dated decor, but the dismissal of our concern regarding safety was where we had to draw the line. We could only recommend that you avoid this hotel at all costs.

Fabulous! Amazing views, across the street from the beach, close to all the shops and restaurants of Waikiki but near the end of the strip so away from all the noise and commotion. Immaculately clean throughout. Every single employee, from the super nice front desk people to the super friendly and phenomenal housekeeping staff, are truly exceptional. Will definitely stay here again.

I booked Park Shore because it was closest to an event I was going to at Waikiki Shell amphitheater. Last hotel on the street and right across from the beach where it is not as crowded as in the "heart" of Waikiki. Lots of food options right there, and an ABC store (is it required??). Everyone who worked there was super nice, friendly and helpful. They sent me a text after check-in and said I could contact them by replying any time. I did have questions and they responded very promptly. I went for the "oceanfront" which of course was across the street and up 9 floors so I would say "full ocean view" would be more accurate though I did not expect to walk out to the ocean. It was a fantastic view and I enjoyed sitting out on the little deck. Glad I chose that and would recommend unless you aren't going to spend any time in the room. Beds were very comfy. I could hear road/car noise but always travel with my earplugs anyway. Kind of surprised me it wasn't more soundproof. The hotel seemed like maybe it was designed in the 60s and while updated, rooms were smaller than I expected and had kind of an older vibe. But, I felt it was a good value for the price so I am 100% happy and for sure would stay there again.

The hotel and service itself is alright, nothing mind-blowing. However the location is very convenient and walkable to the beach. Most importantly, the best part was the traditional Japanese restaurant hidden in the lobby - the best Japanese foods I've ever had, would come again just for the restaurant.

Great location. Just across the street from Kuhio Beach, Honolulu Zoo, etc. Great view of Diamond Head (I recommend getting ocean view). Close to multiple ABC stores (one of which is connected to the lobby). Free beach rental equipment at Beach Candy (right around the corner from the hotel). The Japanese restaurant in the lobby is very kind and welcoming. Lulu’s Waikiki is a must. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely return. A couple things to note: 1. In the elevator, in order to gain access to your floor number, you must scan your room card FIRST before pressing the designated floor number. 2. The hotel entrance can be easy to miss as there are no visible driveways or parking lots that lead into the hotel. Although it does mention free parking, that only pertains to STREET PARKING along the nearby park which would still be at least a 10+ minute walk away. If you’re single, traveling with friends, or an adventurous young couple, that’d be great for you! For families or parents traveling with children, I’d highly recommend just paying the $58-$59 for valet parking and convenience. 3. While it’s in a great location, it does require some walking to International Marketplace and surrounding shops and restaurants within the Waikīkī strip. If you’re the type that doesn’t like long walks, you can drive to International Market/Target parking garage ($4/hr) which is more central and explore from there.

The location is amazing! And the customer service and friendliness of the staff is off the charts. Parking is a bit of an issue, but we just bit the bullet and paid to valet ($50 a day). Tons of restaurants and shopping in the area. Fireworks on the beach on Friday night. A lagoon on the beach right in front of the hotel for those who don’t like waves. Beach chairs and towels are provided. We’ll will be staying here again. Lots of bang for your buck.
