I really enjoyed my stay at the Outrigger Beachcomber Hotel! The location was super convenient. Close to everything, from shopping and restaurants to the beach. One of the highlights was the Cirque du Soleil show hosted at the hotel—it was amazing! I also appreciated the hotel’s cozy atmosphere. No issues with parking. All of the staff is wonderful. It cost $10 per night for a microwave. The valet parks the car for you and brings it back when you leave. The location is right on the beach and surrounded by lots of shopping. We went to all four corners of the island and were thankful for hotel to come back and rest at night. Best trip ever!

Excellent location, clean and comfortable room with a fantastic view. We stayed five nights. The beach was and accessible. Plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping from high end to local vendors. Pool with nice lounge chairs with umbrellas. Great place to relax. We also went to the Cirque de Soleil “Auana” located in the hotel. Wonderful show.

Check-in took 15 minutes as desk agent was focused on answering the phone vs checking in guests. Room was ok- shower had mold and A/C didn’t work well. I’ve stayed at this location before, and had a much better stay.

We stayed on the quiet side of Oahu during the majority of our trip, but included one night at Outrigger to see what Waikiki was like. Hotel's location was central to the beach, shopping, restaurants, etc. Hotel staff were friendly. Common areas were attractive and appeared clean. Did not use the pool, but borrowed beach towels. Elevators required a key card to reach a floor, so we felt safe. Room 1707 seemed clean but we saw cockroaches in the bathroom on three different occasions. The other thing I didn't like was being forced to use valet parking at $55/nt. Sorry, but we paid around $450 for one night, and shouldn't have to deal with bugs.

The hotel was lovely, the pool area although small was perfect never had to fight for a sun lounger. Only downside was the housekeeping got to our rooms very late in the day so kind of felt we couldn't be in the room in the afternoon until after it had been cleaned not a major issue as it is a large hotel we understood it took time to get to everyone

We’ve stayed here multiple times over the years - mostly because of the prime location and recent renovation within the past few years, however, we noticed some wear in the hotel this time around and will probably choose another hotel on our next trip. We’ve stayed at the Outrigger hotel chain dozens of times and they always upgrade and leave treats in the room - this is the only property that never does it. They give you the free bag and that’s it. There are no frills, we asked for bottled water and they wouldn’t even provide that. The hotel is somewhat clean, but I did notice hair on the bed when I arrived and that turned me off. Parts of the hotel room had a ton of dust and you can tell it’s overlooked. If you’re only staying for a few nights, this is a great hotel with the best location in Waikiki, but I would not stay for an extended time. The shower and bathrooms are tiny. You will not get upgraded, so choose your room wisely. If you choose an Oceanview room, you get a glimpse, but not worth the extra.Ask for Kristina if she’s working - she’s wonderful and go above and beyond if she can to make your stay comfortable. She’s very friendly and provides great customer service. We toured the Outrigger Reef during our stay and will most likely stay there next time with their recent renovations. The Beachcomber is a gem of a location and I hope they take the steps to help upkeep the hotel’s renovations. Very short walk to beach and Duke’s and tons of shopping and restaurants.

The hotel was in middle of Waikiki perfect walking distance to everything, the rooms had a updated look but the beds were terrible and tiny, the shower water pressure was also pretty bad.

$40 resort fee not disclosed when we bought package. Rooms just average. Not enough drawer space. A/C blew right on us. Room view was of roof of plaza. Everything in Waikīkī is beyond expensive. Hotel charged $55 a day to park car. Not on beach thought this was one of the other thre outriggers in a few block area that was much better. the plus side concierge was great. Cirque de solie show was fantastic. Banana bread French toast in cafe was great.

We loved the stay. For the room there was nothing to really complain about. Our room was not brightly lit even with all of the lights on. Our bathroom fan stayed on. We never found the switch to turn it off, but that was so minor. You could not hear the fan outside of the bathroom area (we were in the large king). The view was absolutely beautiful. It was brochure perfect. No enhancement from computer graphics needed. The lady that cleaned the room was one of the nicest people we have ever met. She was absolutely wonderful..so nice... such an asset to the hotel (first name started w/ a Z). The worst experience was the hotel restaurant. There were 3 young women in the register area when we walked up to place our order. They continued to do what looked like busy work in that area before ever taking our order. We probably stood at the register almost 5 minutes before we were waited on. We were insulted but had a flight to catch and wanted to grab something quick before being picked up. It took us 40 min to get 2 sandwiches. We think it was the manager that came over and finally asked about our food. She was super nice but the other staff seemed to care less.

The staff at the front desk were aloof and distant. Some of them couldn't put on a smile. We also got put in two rooms on the second floor by the elevator. It's hard to imagine that all their other rooms are full. The pool is also very small. Overall, the location was okay but our experience wasn't great.

Power went out after a day at the beach. I understand things happen but 1 hour w no power then 3 hours with black water…… Had to miss my birthday dinner because we couldn’t shower. When we tried to call for update took a while to answer and when they did they said sorry can talk and hung up.

The only great thing about this hotel was the location—just a short walk from Waikīkī Beach and surrounded by luxury boutiques. While the hotel was clean and staff polite, everything else felt very average and disappointing, especially for a property marketed as one of Waikīkī’s best. We had booked two full ocean view rooms for a week and added an extra night separately, expecting a smooth transition. Instead, we were told we had to check out at 11am and wait until 3pm to check back in—despite being the same guests in the same room type. Worse, the new room had no ocean view at all. When questioned, staff claimed they had no beachfront rooms and ocean views aren’t guaranteed, despite our upgrade. It felt misleading. Adding to the frustration, my daughter’s teddy bear went missing after housekeeping cleaned the room. Reception initially claimed it was likely taken with the bedding and would be returned after laundry—but it never was, despite us asking daily. There appeared to be no clear lost and found process. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. The rooms and amenities were average at best and not worth the premium price. Sadly, this hotel tainted our first trip to Hawaii—I’ve stayed in many hotels globally, and this was by far the worst experience.

The outrigger beachcomber the hotel itself is lovely. The room was very nice. Needs some water bottles? Bad experience I had was the front desk was not so great. My husband and I had tickets to Cirque du Soleil and chose one of the nearby restaurants to have a meal. After eating the meal, I felt unwell and so knowing that we were going to cirque that evening, I decided to book a hotel room at the outrigger hotel. When I got to the front desk, the gentleman explained to me that I had booked at the outrigger and not the outrigger Beachcomber, I then asked the gentleman if i could have a room as I was not feeling well from the heat and the meal that I had eaten prior and since we had cirque tickets it would be a great fit for us to stay there for a couple hours until I felt better before the show started. He didn’t appear to wanna help me at all. He also told me there’s no rooms available and there was nothing he could do for me, but explain to me how to get to the other hotel, which is about 10 minutes away. Feeling poorly that was not a walk. I wanted to do in the heat. So I went and sat in the hotel lobby pulled up my Expedia and found that there was plenty of rooms available, booked one went to the desk and spoke to another young lady who did a fantastic job. My husband had to take over as I was feeling so bad. She got us to a room got everything taken care of and after a couple hours of being in the cool and just relaxing, we were able to make the show which was amazing!

I rented a large passenger van for my family of 11 and was told by the rental company it would fit in any parking garage. Long story short it wouldn’t fit in any garage but Ira from beachcomber made arrangements for a parking spot for us. This saved us a huge headache. Great experience, we will be back!

Our room was beautiful!! Two queen beds and a pullout couch. Anita was amazing keeping our room spotless everyday!! She even moved furniture to find my missing earring! Check in was easy, fast and they were friendly. The concierge was horrible! He was the laziest one I have ever spoken to!! They are supposed to give you suggestions of what to do but he said “I’m just here to book stuff, not give you suggestions, I don’t know what you want to do”! But the hotel was beautiful and in a great area! Quick walk to the beach, too!

Great access to Waikīkī beach (2 min walk from the lobby) and right in the heart of the downtown area. Pleasantly surprised at the great value for this hotel given the location and property. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and everything from the pool amenities to the rooms was clean and convenient. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Waikiki.

First up, this hotel is in a perfect position, across the street from Waikiki Beach and with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars within an easy stroll. However were were disappointed by some aspects of the hotel. We booked a partial ocean view room and "partial" was spot on. A narrow view of the ocean between two tower blocks was all that could be seen without leaning out past the divider between adjoining balconies. We have stayed here several times before, but this room had the least view of the beach we had ever had. The room also seemed smaller than previous rooms we have had, although this is purely a personal obsevation. The room was very clean, but the newly refurbished bathroom had a bathtub fitted with a shower over it. The bathtub had a cheap feel to it, and creaked when you stepped into it. The shower gel bottle broke away from the wall on the first use, but was never refitted. Small matters such as not having proper mugs or glassware, and only paper cups supplied were annoying, but not a game changer. Still, a 4 star hotel should do better than disposable cups. In summary, the positives...... Great location, clean rooms and pleasant staff. The negatives..... Small annoying issues such a cheap bathroom fittings, paper cups and a so so ocean view. There is a lot of street noise at night, but this would affect all hotels along the strip. Nothing in the above spoiled our holiday, and we would still stay here again, but would be more selective in our room.

Excellent accommodation. Only negative was we paid $35 US per pax per day for breakfast to be included however we were only offered a limited menu (mostly ham and cheese croissant and coffee each day which if we bought direct from the cafe would have only cost $12 per pax per day)

Overall, a good stay. Valet parking only, but very easy and convenient — you get your car right away. The price was reasonable. Aroma Coffee at the hotel was a great bonus: fast service, a variety of breakfast options, and consistently good coffee. The room was a decent size, but the beds were quite small. The mattresses felt old and a bit saggy, and the pillows could use an upgrade.

Our family really liked this hotel. The cafe was expensive but the Kona Americana coffee was the best quality of all places we visited. Resort was amazing, location was perfect. Walking distance to stores, restaurant and beaches. Highly recommend this resort.

Stayed for one night while in Waikiki. Arrived late for check in but was greeted by friendly valet and front desk staff. The property is close and walkable to all the shops and dining that Waikiki has to offer. For being an Expedia VIP customer, I was given $25 parking credit. Was a nice perk when nightly parking is $55. Also received a voucher for complimentary breakfast at the Hawaiian Aroma Cafe. The food choices were great and were better than expected. We stayed in an ocean view room, but the view of the ocean was distant and obscured by buildings. We were on the 14th floor, and I feel as if the higher rooms probably provided a better view. The property itself feels a little worn, but overall, it was a nice stay. I give it a solid 4 stars.
