There was construction across the street which started very early and disturbed sleep. There is limited parking and the hotel charges $49 a night for valet which is the only option at the hotel itself. Most of the staff is kind and helpful. Usually quick to respond to room needs/requests. Be sure to ask for the updated rooms, because some are NOT updated, but cost the same amount. I liked That beach equipment was part of the resort cost, but didn’t like that I wasn’t made aware of that until close to the end of our stay. I liked That fresh water was available in the lobby, as well as Kona coffee each morning. I liked that an ABC store was onsite.

When I booked a vacation package on Expedia, I booked this hotel because it marked and indicated free parking, when we arrived and checked in, I was told that there was no free parking and I would have to pay $45 for each day of parking. The parking service from the staff is impeccable, but the fact that when booking I was counting on free parking, and upon arrival I had to pay an additional $315 upset me. After I was told that parking was paid on the Expedia website, the hotel changed the mark for free parking and indicated that it was paid.

The property is quite old and the photos included in the listing are not reflective of state of condition of the property at present. The swiming pool is too small from a hotel standard points of view. This size pool may be appropriate for a house as more than 4 periosn in the pool would make it too crowded.

The pool is quite small, as is the fitness center. The fitness center needs to open earlier (it opens at 8 am), and the pool needs to stay open longer (they close it at 20:30). The staff were very helpful and responsive. Housekeeping services did a great job. A special shoutout to Barret and Zach who made happy hour very enjoyable and were very generous with crafting cocktails. Also, Baby Jean at front desk was very kind and made for a pleasant checkout.

Clean hotel and friendly staff. Parking was very expensive in the area and for the hotel. Hotel parking was not guaranteed. Make sure you verify parking details if you have a rental car. It was still cheaper than public parking lots. Very hard to find street parking. Would stay again!

The room we stayed in for a week had two queen beds and a kitchenette. This was truly wonderful for us as we are a family of 4. The beds weren’t the best, and pillows small, but this lacking was absolutely made up for with the Kitchenette! It was stocked with 4 sets of big/small plates, bowls, coffee mugs, a skillet, 2 pots, silverware, a fridge and freezer that were slightly larger than a standard hotel fridge/freezer, and the best part of all was the microwave and toaster oven combo! We were able to make all meals, which saved us a ton! The pool was nice to relax in, and had a wonderful view especially for the sunset, but the hot tub was covered with boards and in disrepair. That didn’t bother us though! The pool has a bar that was nice to grab drinks from. There is a nice store just outside of the hotel where you can stock up on some items you may need, but if you can’t find them you can just hop along to any of the many stores within a couple miles of the hotel. There is valet parking that is worth it because of a severe lack of parking in this area. The valets do get busy on the weekends, so plan a little extra time to retrieve your vehicle, but otherwise they handle with care. We had a couple instances where we would ask questions to the front desk and not be treated the greatest, but they discovered this after I mentioned it after it happened a third time and they apologized and made up for the problems. Very minor, and seemed like new staff.

My boyfriend and I were traveling here from Minnesota and stayed for 7 days! We loved staying at Hotel La Croix! It was clean, staff were very friendly and everything was easy to navigate. Clean rooms and nice balcony view! Pool is awesome and the bartenders were so nice and welcoming! Would 100% stay here again!

This is an aging hotel. The initial room I received had rust stains in the bathtub. I was moved to another room. The second room had a shower curtain with extreme mildew on the curtain. This is just poor maintenence. The wifi had a weak signal and the cable tv had a limited number of channels. Only one ice machine and one microwave for guests without kitchen. The owners of this property have let the property become rundown. No telephone in room. Location good, staff on front desk excellent. Cleaning staff not friendly and failed to put replacement cups and toilet tissue in room. Had to ask.

The first room had trash left from previous guests, had a moldy/foul smell, and the floors were sticky. We had to be moved, the second room was extremely small and the floors, again, were sticky. The door was broken and wouldn’t stay closed. We had to be moved again. This shouldn’t be considered a resort, and we likely wont return.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at LaCroix. Although it was very convenient and close to the beach, the hotel itself needs a lot of updating. Prior to booking, I was aware that the hotel was in the renovating process. However, I didn't know that only a small portion of the hotel was updated. I had to switch my room from the original room I was booked for because of the broken drain in the shower and the noise outside (due to construction across the street) and the noise next door (due to renovations). Once I moved to another room, I was able to go onto the balcony but the railing was very old and seemed unstable. The bathroom carried an odor the entire time which seeped into the main room. At one point when I turned the water on, it was brown. The tv in the room was very outdated and some of the buttons did not work on the remote itself. I wish the hotel was much modern with the renovations done. The hotel staff were AMAZING. I enjoyed each staff member as they were kind and extremely helpful. Seeing how this was my first time in Hawaii, I wished I chose a better hotel.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in poor condition. The lobby looks good. The rooms are hammered. The paint was damaged by the moisture in the shower. Which told me that the hotel isn’t being properly maintained. The concrete banister on the patio was completely falling apart. So the patio door was bolted shut. The shower fixtures don’t work 100%. The carpet in the room was worn out.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed with this hotel. There were a few issues that I had, the biggest being that my room had roaches (in the bathroom). None incredibly large but enough to be disgusting. The front desk staff was wonderful, and although I’d have preferred a refund, she moved me to the terrace level, which was a nice alternative. However, the roach problem seems to be a building issue, rather than a room issue. While I saw none the size of the ones in my first room, there were still baby ones crawling around the sink and tub. There were a few other minor problems that wouldn’t have been worth mentioning if not for this incident. One being that they do not provide beach towels, despite it saying so on their info sheet left in the room. They were also always out of the roku remotes they claimed to offer. Again, not that big of a deal, but still quite annoying. On a positive note, the staff were very polite and friendly, and were very helpful when solving issues.

Room was big but we upgraded our room before we stayed. The bathroom door did not close all the way, it was a barn slider door. The pool was very small so we opted to not use it. The balconies were small and the view was other buildings, but it was loud from the traffic. There was not much super close but a 15 minute or more walk. Because the line got long at check-in I did not receive the same service as the person in front of me. He actually said you probably heard what I told them in front of uou, which I was not listening. They got watee bottles and they didnt offer me any because they were in a hurry.

I really enjoyed my 1.5 week stay here! The staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything felt clean which is #1 for me and the area was safe and walkable. They prepared the room for my small dog with a water bowl and a dog bed which I thought was a super sweet, nice touch! The only complaint I have is that the walls are thin so I heard my neighbors almost every night. The area in general can be a bit noisy so if you’re a light sleeper that might be tough for you but thankfully it wasn’t a big issue for me.

Nice hotel. Comfortable, room was a nice size, fantastic shower, great pool area, front desk staff were very helpful. It was great to have the ABC store attached to the hotel. Close to everything. Only had a couple of issues. First the wifi was not good at all. Had the maintenance person come and try to help but he said that the corner rooms have problems with wifi. We would have to stand by the entry door to get a good signal. But he went above and beyond to get us free access to the Monkeypod, where we got great wifi, snacks, water and pop for free. Other issue was at check out when I asked when we would get our room deposit back and was told at least 10 business days and if we haven't got it back by then to call the hotel. I thought it would be done when we checked out.

Well, if you're on the fence about a place to stay in Waikiki, I don't think you'll be disappointed with The La Croix. We stayed in a Gold room and it was wonderful. We had a view of both the ocean and downtown Honolulu, and lanais on both ends to soak it all in. If you're renting a car, the only parking option is a $45 a night valet, but at least the car is always safe and the process is very smooth. Walking distance to Waikiki Beach, superb restaurants, and phenomenal shopping. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We literally had zero complaints. In fact, the only problem we had was trying to tear ourselves away from it, lol. Aloha!

The hotel was fantastic! My room was spacious and the views were amazing. It’s a short walk to the beach, stores, restaurants, and anything else in Waikiki. The staff were friendly and even gave some amazing recommendations on where to go during my stay. I’ll be booking here again for next year’s trip!

The hotel was nice, the valet parking was convenient, but the pillows were pathetic and the beds were okay. The sliding door for the bathroom is a terrible idea when sharing a room with other people. There was a huge gap along the sides of the door. There was also only 2 towels in a room booked for 4 people. The towel hanger fell off of the wall because it was put on with double sided tape… The staff was super friendly and helpful. Valet was nice, but costs $47 a day. There’s a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee available, those should be standard freebies these days, in my opinion.

This property was quiet good but did have a few major issues. The location is AMAZING. If we don't stay at this Hotel again we will stay in the area. It's great. Dining, shopping, close to the beach, transportation right outside, really all you need. The staff are friendly and helpful. If we had an issue they fixed it as quickly as possible. The pool is very nice, and the Monkeypod Lounge very helpful although it runs out of stock very quickly. The big issues are some important things however. The beds are not good at all, barely acceptable to be honest. Very uneven and springy, they have definitely seen better years. We woke up from our king bed with aches and pains daily. The pillows are less than acceptable. Calling them pillows is a stretch. I wish I had brought a pillow with me because the pillows are terrible. The place was clean for the most part but we did find a piece of licorice on the floor behind the couch when we were looking for an outlet. I am not sure if we would stay at this exact hotel again although we would consider it. I would bring my own pillows next time.

We ended up with Room 1805 - Platinum room (this was an upgrade for us). This room is not conducive to two friends sharing a room! The room is SMALL, especially with 2 queen beds in it. There is NO CLOSET and NO DRAWERS to store any clothes. The bathroom (very large by comparison to a standard hotel room, with floor to ceiling windows) had some hooks and a rod sticking out of the wall with some hangers. Storing/hanging clothes in a bathroom that can get all stinky and steamy is not ideal! The door to the bathroom is a sliding barn door. It did not close all the way and provided NO PRIVACY for anyone using the bathroom. Sitting on one of the beds provided a CLEAR view of anyone changing in the bathroom! While the bedroom area had blackout curtains to darken the room, The bathroom barn door sat more than 2 inches from the wall and provided VERY little seal from the sunlight blasting through the floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom! The outdoor terrace had artificial grass with a tile border all the way around. The grass was SOAKED from the rain prior to our arrival leaving the terrace unusable (unless you wanted to have very wet shoes). The tile area had a drain but the artificial grass did not. The terrace on the room next to ours was completely tiled. If I were traveling myself or with someone I was sharing a bed with, I may have been ok with this room. If this room is indicative of the other rooms in this property, I don't see myself returning

the staff were extremely helpful. The valet drivers were extremely nice and enthusiastic. I thought i would never find my grandmothers place ..lived on ala wai.askt valet if he ever heard of the alawai canal..the laughed and pointed and said its two blocks that way! i was nevrvous traveling alone but the staff gave me secure feeling. liked the pool -spa area very much..only two washers but was able to use them twice..guests were flexible on this. liked the abc store being rite by the lobby was thrilled that the astonishing waikiki was ten minute walk..was there every morning around sunrise! needed small table to write on..Quiet? traffic noise was awful and a lot of sirens..parking around honolulu was very hard to find..found out about the trolley after being there 5 days..i need back support when i sit..only chair was on lanai porch ..i brought it in and the staff would put it back outside..could not get the air conditioner to shut off..had fire drill when i was there..alarm excessively loud...very limited tv program selection..but i was not in hawaii for television! so the problems were minor..staff was very patient and the spirit of Aloha was strong..i would give and A rating

We had a fantastic stay! The pool and bar area were definitely highlights. A special shoutout to Vincent, the bar manager—his incredible personality made me feel truly appreciated and valued. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with local suggestions. We also loved the convenient amenities, including water filling stations and free water bottles available anytime at the front desk. They even accommodated us with extra towels and blankets when we needed them. Our room was clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. The only downside was the air conditioning, which was a bit weak, but manageable. There is a property tax charged at this location, but we were aware of it ahead of time. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back!

We had previously stayed at this hotel in 2023. Liked the location and convenience of valet parking. We got the same size room for the kitchenette option, found this handy first time around with a toddler. Our biggest problem this time around was the lack of customer service. We had followed hotel protocol by letting them know ahead of time when we needed housekeeping to come by and day after day, they kept making excuses as to why our room was not cleaned. When we went to front desk, the young lady was rude and said there was nothing they can do since it was a "different" department. She offered us the housekeeping manager\'s info to contact. In the text message they send to you everyday, it says to talk to front desk if you have any issues. I am on vacation, staying at your establishment, why am I given the run around for a service that should be provided in the cost of my hotel room and ridiculous resort fees? To make matters worse, we had requested for late check out (willling to pay) and the same young lady denied us of that saying the hotel is fully booked. I checked that night and was able to book the same room on many different sites online. Next morning, we asked a different lady up front and she was able to accommodate us. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone we know. Only positive thing about this place are rhe valet guys.

View was obstructed with construction going on across the street but we didn’t pay extra for city or ocean view room. The location is the best part since you can cross the park and get to the beach or walk down the street to shop, dine or enjoy Waikiki.

Nice place to stay at parks of Waikiki, walking distance to the beach, which at that point is not so crowed. We were attending to the Honolulu marathon and the star was only a short walk away. Also the Alamona shopping center is at the walking distance. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and takes great care of the customers and their needs. The only negative thing is the traffic noise, if You are not used to it.

I stay here often. The staff is super nice , the place is located in very convenient walkable location. This hotel is one of the main pick up points for tours. Constructive comment- would be the availability of dine in food. There aren't many restaurants close by and food service from the bar or room is outsoursed seems like so it ends early or is not timely.

The property, pool and room were nothing fancy. It’s a bit run down and needs a facelift. We didn’t use the pool but it was tiny and the water was cloudy. I paid for the continental breakfast and it was ok, there were bagels, mini muffins, apples, oranges and various kinds of coffee, water and sodas. That was nice as it was available from 8-8. And we were able to take some waters and fruit and drinks to the beach which was walking distance. Everything is close by. You can check out boogie boards from the hotel as well. The beds were decent but the pillows were too soft and flattened really fast. You had to really bunch them up. Over all I chose this place because it was clean, the daily parking was less expensive than other hotels and for location. I probably won’t stay here again but only because I like to switch it up and try different places. Overall for the cost and location to everything, it was worth it because come on, your in Hawaii and how much time are you actually going to spend in your hotel room!

Stayed for a total of 7 nights and had a great time. The staff was always helpful and around to answer questions. Everything is within walking distance also which is great. Parking with the valet was great, easy to get to and out of the garage. Pool bar was pretty good, had the Mai tai of course and their Ube drink which I forgot the name. Only downside were rooms seemed like maybe they were recently remodeled or something because our sliding bathroom door seemed like it was just installed and not painted. The cabinets they had also smelled like they had just been varnished or something. Overall our stay was great, would recommend.

Perfect location and great price for quality hotel. Just a block off the beach. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. Close to park, museum and beach. Great staff, very clean. Awesome pool area with small bar and snacks.

Contrary to what the website and Expedia might say, this is not a luxury property. While the hotel is clean and comfortable, I cant understand how it could be listed as a 4 star resort. The pool area is tiny and the hot tub was boarded up with old plywood. I was excited to use the sauna with park view, but there was a homeless man asleep right outside the window and it was a bit of a turn off. Our Gold Kitchenette had a single burner, a small fridge and a microwave. We did not have a table or chairs, so we really didn't make use of the kitchen other than to pop microwave popcorn and heat up our coffee. It was dissapointing, as dining out is so expensive in Hawaii, we had planned to prepare and enjoy at least one meal a day in our room. Our balcony had a great view of the treetops and city, but also a very loud air conditioning unit. Initially we could not enjoy this space as there was no seating, but I inquired about getting some chairs after seeing some of the other rooms had them and the hotel did deliver. The beds are meh... and pillows are square, but overall the room was attractive and clean. We were provided with plenty of towels and daily maid service. Unfortunately, the bathroom door is a barn door style that does not provide any privacy. We were traveling with our teenagers, so I had to rig up a blanket to fill the opening and create the illusion of a privacy. It is an odd set up. Overall, don't expect too much. Hotel La Croix is just a good budget hotel.

Thep people are friendly and nice. I missed the morning coffee and snacks in tbe lobby its no longer served.

Arrived at the hotel, and the parking lot had a sign 'full, no parking' and was turning away cars. I pulled around the corner and called the hotel. The woman I spoke with said she was going to bring me out a list of parking garages in the area. I asked her which one was closest, safest, and pricing; she had no idea. I looked up the first one and it was 1.2 miles away..... I told her I was on my honeymoon, have a heart transplant, and would not accept this at all as a paying guest checking in to the hotel. Within a few minutes, the manager Bill came out to my car and assured me he will take care of everything. I was instructed to return to the valet and they would take care of it. He was very nice and helpful, and what would be expected of a hotel like this. We stayed in one of the penthouse rooms, which was beautiful. We had access to the Monkey Pod which was a great treat with drinks, snacks, and amazing coffee. My only other complaint was I would never stay on that floor again. The Monkey Pod door has no device to dampen the sound, and the door slams all day long starting at 8am. We did not check out the pool or sauna. But as stated, the room was beautiful, view was great, and monkey pod had nice amenities.
