Location is nice. Rooms are a bit old and small but totally fine for 1 or 2 nights. The bed was comfortable but creaky. They were doing maintenance work on the elevators so only 1 or none were operating. Nice you can borrow a beach towel

I read a lot of reviews before my stay that mainly listed issues with the staff, cleanliness/wear, and the elevator so I'd like to add my experience. Firstly the staff: the staff were great, very helpful with the check in process and throughout our stay (we only had requests for simple things like new beach towels, batteries for the safe). The condition of the hotel: it is certainly a dated property, paint and wallpaper needing refreshing, the porcelain of the sinks no longer as white as they used to be, etc. Cleanliness-wise, I checked for any evidence of bed bugs or reused linens and didn't find any - the bedsheets were a crisp white. However, there were a few hair clumps on the shower wall from a previous guest. Our carpet seemed fine enough, though other reviewers had some concerns about stains. I did not see any roaches in our room, nor in the common areas in passing. The elevator: I saw so many reviews saying the elevator was frustrating. I was surprised to see that during our trip one of the two was in fact still out of order. The remaining elevator did break down twice during our stay, but our room was on the 3rd floor and everyone in my party was able-bodied so it wasn't much of an issue for us (I don't know how long it took to repair). I'd maybe advise requesting a room on a lower floor just in case. All in all, if you're not looking for a resort experience or not going to spend a ton of time in the room, and are OK with simple accommodations, this will suffice.

We were not happy about the extra fees at first however when they told us our key card would get us free access to a couple attractions that we had not gone to on the island as this was our 7th and 8th day and choose not to go because of the cost.

Room was very clean, bed was comfy but looked very dated. Our curtains had holes that were held together by tape. Made the room look worse than an old motel. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Parking was ok but $37/night if you didn’t want to drive around looking for a free spot.
