Great location with secure entry after 6p, small hotel so not it’s crowded like the resorts. Quick check in, excellent customer service. Bed was very comfortable and not worn down. Love that beach chairs and snorkel gear (pin addition to other items) are included in the reasonable resort fee. I’d definitely return! My only suggestions to management would be to offer more comfortable desk chairs and be green by using multi-use hygiene products.

We had a great stay at Renew but parking our car was a problem...the first night the hotel garage was full and all the other recommended public garages were also full. There wasn't really any where to park on the street either...by this time we were EXTREMELY exhausted after flying from Japan with no sleep and being awake for over 24 hours. We finally found a spot 2 blocks from the hotel, but i had to get up at 6am to move the car because it was 2 hour limited parking. Hopefully the Renew hotel can set up a reservation system for parking or provide more spaces for parking. Otherwise the hotel was perfect!

First, the staff who work here were excellent and very friendly. They were helpful and made us feel welcome. There is no self parking at this property, and if you have a vehicle your only real option is valet parking, which is $50 per night. Finding this property was also a bit difficult for us as the signs are small and we didn’t realize there was no where to pull into, you literally just pull over on the side of the street. There were little to no amenities here besides water in the lobby. Even the free coffee for 2 hours in the morning was not well stocked and not good tasting. The location is great though so it’s a quick and easy walk to many coffee shops, food places, and the beach…which is why we were there. For a decent priced place to sleep, it wasn’t bad and I did give 4 stars for that. It felt clean and well decorated and we felt safe there, traveling as two females together.

Our stay here was so relaxing and hotel smells amazing like a spa. Hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. Who needs a pool when waikiki beach is just a few steps away. Plus you can rent beach chairs, mats, floaties, snorkel gear etc. Also, valet parking is quick. No long waits to get your car. Would recommend this hotel for couples/small groups since rooms are small but otherwise we’ll definitely go back.

Check out Queen Kapiolani hotel for coffee, the Deck and the their gallery, to learn the tragic history of Hawaii. The staff at Hotel Renew is exceptional! The only item of concern was the amenity fee of $30. There is no pool, no gym, no bar, no restaurant.

Good, roomy hotel without breaking the bank. If you really don't care about the ocean view, then this hotel should be more than enough for your Hawaii vacation. Stayed in a 2-double bed room, and it was more than enough for 2 people to stay in. The hotel also communicated very well through cell phone messaging, and the beach towel and gear rentals were also very convenient. The hotel is located more in the southern part of Waikiki, but it's close enough to all the major shopping malls like Royal Hawaiian and International Market Place, so a very walkable location as well. The only downside would be parking, as the hotel is fairly small and has limited valet space only, so you either have to pay valet or just have to find some street parking spots if you are planning on renting a vehicle during your stay. Parking is limited in Honolulu in general however, so this might not be an issue just for this hotel. Overall, a comfy, no-frills hotel for your family vacation at a reasonable price and convenient location.

Room not cleaned daily. They charge a $50 resort fee. No microwave in room. Loud street noise. If you stay here, request a room higher than the 4th floor and facing the beach not the back street. Do not expect much from housekeeping. Valet parking is nice but you don't have an option and they charge $50/day. Location is good. You are about 1 block from the beach.

Considering how high prices are in Waikiki, Hotel Renew is relatively good value. The location is great, staff were super helpful but my room needed a thorough clean, dust was bad (picture ledges/ac unit was filthy). Also multiple hair clumps in bathroom and toilet was noisy (constant refilling noise).

Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Lobby was nice. Rooms were a bit outdated and had a very potent odor. I had to use my personal spray to make it smell a bit better. Restroom was old. Rust stains on toilet handle and bathtub had sand. But the price was better than other hotels in the area and the staff was kind.

This is a great little hotel that is only one block off of Waikiki Beach. The staff was nice and worked really hard to make sure everything was taken care of. The hotel is generally in good condition but a few areas need some TLC, faucet was loose, the wood trim around AC was broken and bowed. Shower curtains had some rust and mold on them. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for pricing, location and staff!

The staff in lobby area were always courteous, helpful and friendly. The room presented nice at first. After the first night we realized the noise on the street was terrible. We were on the floor. The tub drained terribly as you ended up standing in 3 inches of water by end. That tells me the maid did not clean after last patron. Was able to get maintenance to clear clog. The carpet was clearly not vacuumed. The maid service was suspect. We had it twice during it visit and both times the room was basically a to bed spread tidy. Floor not vacuumed. Shower soaps not filled. Soap actually ran out and we had to get maintenance to fill as maid didn’t and was gone by then.

Good location, and very quite not to crowded. Room was nice and cool, Bed was very comfortable. Although there is a little bit, I want to stress out there is a light shade in the room it was very dusty. Rather than that everything was very good. Myself and my husband enjoyed our short stay in the hotel. Thank you.

The location is super convenient—just a short walk from the beach and easily accessible from many places. I loved how I could simply walk half a block back to the hotel and take a shower after spending time at the beach. The amenities are great for both kids and adults, including beach toys, floaties, chairs, and mats. The only thing missing was a beach umbrella—if they had that, it would’ve been perfect! I’d definitely book with them again if that’s added. Most of the staff were friendly, though a few were quiet and didn’t really greet guests. One downside is that the rooms don’t have balcony like some other nearby hotels. Still, overall, it was a really enjoyable stay.

Overall, a very disappointing accommodation. We arrived after ared-eye flight from Sydney about two hours before the 3 o'clock checkin and asked about checking in early. The young woman at the desk offered early check-in for $25. Being tired, we accepted wirhout questioning or requesting some consideration. She never asked about the reason for our stay or where we came from. Upon enetering the room it seemed comfortable enough. But further investigation revealed that we were in a corner room with no blackout curtains and the bathroom window was simply a slatted setup with no screen, curtain, or secondary inside window. This meant the room was warm all the time. In addition, the bathroom door was frosted glass, so the light ftom the street shined intobthe sleeping area. We should have gone back to the desk immediately to request a different room, but our exhaustion from the flight meant our desire to nap while was more important. Our next trip we will gladly pay more for a name brand hotel.

FD staff very approachable and efficient. Beds need to be changed to something more stable. The beds are not that great for me because every time I move, the cushion gets out of place. The position changes and the arrangement gets messed up.

We had a good stay here! The location is nice and the staff is super friendly! The downside of the hotel is how noisy it is outside. We could hear everything right outside our room, got woken up early most mornings. It’s also 49 dollars a night to park. Other than that, it was a good stay!

We decided to extend our trip in Waikiki and selected this place because of the how close it was to everything (short walking distance to the beach) and because it was a VIP Platinum property. Staff was incredibly exceptional, Anne was more than accommodating and assisting us with even extending our trip to accommodate our late night flight. Maynard assisted with all my other requests, fluffy pillows and extra towels. All staff that I encouraged truly went out of their way to make all feel welcome. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were super comfortable. I’ve seen the comments about the rug, not a deal breaker for me and really not bad at all. I would recommend this place and stay here again.

The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were super comfortable. I’ve seen the comments about the rug, not a deal breaker for me and really not bad at all. Staff is extremely friendly. The place is very clean and nice. Parking was very convenient through there Valet service. The beach is less than a 3 min walk and they offer everything u need for free (beach towels, chairs, toys etc.. ) Loved it will be staying here again.

This hotel offers a lot of amenities like; beach chairs, beach towels and I think an umbrella. The staff is very friendly and they felt more like family to me. Whenever my daughter and I are in Waikiki, we plan to always stay at this hotel. The bed is very comfortable and the staff is always there 24/7 if you need any assistance. 10/10 would recommend

The staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful, and always available. Only valet parking at $50/day, but the car was available within minutes. Hotel is at the south end of Waikiki, so you are next to the zoo and Kapiolani park, a block away from the beach, with tons of restaurant and shoppong nearby. Chairs, snorkel gear, towels, floaties, etc, are free to patrons.

This hotel is in a great location. It's on the east end of all the Waikiki action and 1/2 block back from the sand. You can walk to everything and there are a million dining and shopping options around. I really liked the location and it was easy to get around. The room itself was nice and clean and comfortable. No complaints about the room at all. The staff was super pleasant and friendly and the lobby was nice. You HAVE to use valet at this hotel, there is no self parking at all unless you park a few blocks away on the street. Valet is about $50 per night and is required. The valet guys were great, just didn't love that it was required. There's an ABC Store right next door which was handy. I highly recommend this hotel and location.

Every staff member we encountered was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The location is perfect. Very close to everything Waikiki has to offer but felt like you left the busyness when you got back to the hotel. Will definitely recommend to anyone staying in Waikiki.

Great location, a half block off the beach. Lots of restaurant options. Close to Kapiolani Park, Kuhio Beach and Honolulu Zoo. Staff very friendly and helpful. Efficient use of space. Not fancy, but we don’t spend a lot of time in our room when traveling.

The staff at this property was truly incredible. They are extremely helpful with everything from just getting you checked in to making sure they can make your stay as nice as possible. I never saw the recess's coffee bar open but we were also out and about all day everyday. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location was amazing! Literally a block from the ocean!

The reception and overall hotel staff were very good. No breakfast offerings due to the pandemic (except coffee). We stayed here few times prior the pandemic. The location is good. But it needs detailed cleaning. As hotels.com gold rewards member, we did not get any upgrade or additional benefit than any other hotel guest. Bathroom needs some renovation ( shower mainly ). Remember to reserve off-site parking ahead of time if you travel on busy time periods.

It is a small boutique hotel, not very large. Friendly staff, received 2 free drinks at the hotel bar which is right next to the lobby space. Rooms are small but clean with a fridge and closet. Bed was a double bed in my case. Good value for location. The city view rooms could be right next to the moped shop so if you are in the room any during the day that could be noisy, but I didn't have that problem because I only slept there and left early the next morning.

First, the staff who work here were excellent and very friendly. They were helpful and made us feel welcome. There is no self parking at this property, and if you have a vehicle your only real option is valet parking, which is $50 per night. Finding this property was also a bit difficult for us as the signs are small and we didn’t realize there was no where to pull into, you literally just pull over on the side of the street. There were little to no amenities here besides water in the lobby. Even the free coffee for 2 hours in the morning was not well stocked and not good tasting. The location is great though so it’s a quick and easy walk to many coffee shops, food places, and the beach…which is why we were there. For a decent priced place to sleep, it wasn’t bad and I did give 4 stars for that. It felt clean and well decorated and we felt safe there, traveling as two females together.

We couldnt belive after staying here n us checking in for the first time that the staff did not greet us after coming and going and even asking for directions or after coming in from dinner at 8pm and 5 pm not once did they say hello , hi , or a smile to look up at me or my wife who noticed this after the first night ... Wow SMH.... sad just sad customer service
