Nice little spot on the Lake Texoma. We arrived on a Friday night and the check in was quick and we got a nice room facing the lake on the top floor. Very quiet rooms, Tv's need upgrading and the tub was VERY slow to drain. The in-door pool was worth a visit, so bring your swimsuit. Wish there was more access to the lake but the property was nice to walk around. Little breakfast options but this is the slow season. Will be back another time of the year. Staff was great and hospitable

Spent most our time by the pool. There were 3 different ones to choose from. In the evening, watched the football game in the bar and grill area. Very nice overall.

Really hesitant to leave a review like this. I can tell they are trying. It's a gem. They spent money on the pools. That's the ONLY place they spent the money. This place is waaaayyyyy overdue for a remodel. The rooms are like being in a 1980 Motel 6. No space, no real amenities in the rooms. There is no padding on the carpet, which turns your feet black. Old appliances that are yellowed with age. The small fridge sits on a desk. Doors are thin so you can hear every footstep of people in halls. The place is a winding maze too. It just needs a little TLC. So don't spend time in the room. The people are nice. They do care. But it just needs an investment. And what they have done with the indoor pool and hot tub - that's great! This place could be amazing with a few TLC adjustments to the rooms.

The resort was very pretty but many amenities were not available because of the time of year. Despite calls and online information which suggested activities would be available. The resort did return some of our money but we would have preferred the activities. Staff was friendly but many new staff so still not sure of their roles.

I love this resort. The location allows for fantastic views of the lake from the Wiskey Tower. Also the new indoor pools are great to relax, it also to get a work out. I love all the upgrades that have been taking place for the last two years and I heard more exited things are underway. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Though outdated the Property has great potential. Guest bathroom spacious but tub should be an accessible shower. Guest closet area is too small and room needs seating other than on the beds. Our teen guests all really enjoyed the pools and catered burgers. Thank you Tina Bible!

The first room we were assigned to had hornets and beetles and the toilet was not flushing. The second room had beetles and was extremely dirty. The trash was full, there were clumps of hair, someone had broken a necklace/bracelet and the beads were still on the carpet, and the scoop for the ice machine had black mold on it. The website listed a billard room and an arcade, which was removed two years ago. The biggest issue was that I paid for a full breakfast—22.00 and the breakfast was either a microwave burrito or a microwave sandwich which you had to pick up at the front desk. I know it was off season and part of our stay was Christmas Day, but I was disappointed.

I loved this property! The location was great, the pool was beautiful, and the restaurant and bar options were great. My suite in the tower was so cute and I loved the view of the lake. My one complaint was that my room was not clean. The shower had half full bottles of shampoo/conditioner with the caps still off and hair on the walls. There was blood on one of my curtains, on the wall in the bathroom, and obvious spots on the floor. As well as clusters of hair on the floor in the bathroom almost like someone had a haircut in there and it was only partially cleaned up? I don't feel the entire review of the property should be brought down by one cleaning person so my rating reflects that!

The room smelled musky as if the floor had been wet. It is hard to explain the smell. Also, even though the property indicates quite time and they were notified by several people on our floor about the noise nothing was done. There was children and adults running up and down the hallway until 2 am. It was very loud and the next morning kids would knock and run away.

Checked in around 6pm. First room key they gave me… room was dirty. Towels on floor and beds not made. Second room they gave me.. I walked into was occupied already. Lady yelled at me to get out of her room. Third room was ok. Except for the roaches.

The staff at Tanglewood were very helpful and nice. The pool area was nice and enjoyable. Unfortunately the room was supposed to be a lake view and our view was a road and the tops of trees. The rooms could stand to be updated as they don’t have anything in them that screams resort or luxury. It was damp and smelled moldy when we arrived and never really went away. The restaurant’s were not good either, our food was cold on the first night and on our 2nd night the food was overcooked and overpriced for what it was. Overall it was an ok stay but not for the price and I would definitely eat somewhere else besides the resort.

We stayed in the tower which was very nice. There is an issue with the elevator where it beeps loudly for quite a bit of time which we heard all night long as patrons left the lounge at the top of the tower. I’d consider staying in the tanglewood resorts again for sure. The themed rooms seem really cool, but I’m not sure I’d do it again unless I knew I wasn’t going to hear the elevator beeping all night.

Stayed in the lake view suite in the Tower. Very nicely appointed room, clean, stocked with everything. Comfortable king bed. Nice views from our balcony. Loved the automatic ice maker in the room. Would have liked to see a lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom if I had a wish list. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Photo is from the lake and marina.

The property was relaxing and we liked the pools. The old window AC units were dated and ours was louder than it should have been under normal running conditions. This did not make “sleeping in “ in the morning possible. The dinner we had Thursday evening was underwhelming. Our server was excellent, but the entrees were not what I would call” resort level” . The shrimp scampi was swimming in butter and I could not taste any garlic. It was also in a small bowl, not a platter size for a dinner entree. You can do better for the prices you are charging. City folks no the difference : )

The property was very nice with one exception. All of the pillows were hard as a rock. My wife was up half the night trying make them comfortable with no success. She finally rolled up some towels and tried to use those as pillows. Didn't get much sleep at all.

Always enjoy coming here, a little old but kept up well. Peaceful place to come, pool was very relaxing. This was our first time staying in the villas, plenty of space, had an enjoyable time

Check-in was a hot mess. Slow check-in, plus refusal to allow check-in until 4:00, only to have many people right at 4:00 all lined up. Beautiful property, regardless, and the pools were cold and refreshing. The air in our room didn’t work for about 2 hours, but did kick back on. It never quite cooled, but to be fair it was 105 degrees outside.

The resort was very pretty but many amenities were not available because of the time of year. Despite calls and online information which suggested activities would be available. The resort did return some of our money but we would have preferred the activities. Staff was friendly but many new staff so still not sure of their roles.

The property looked decent over all but still needs a lot of work. But mostly you need to get rid of Expedia and handle your reservations on your own, I heard several people having issues with them. Here is my reason...I booked a room for three. All that was available was a double queen however there is a special request section on the site. Within this section there was a request for a roll out bed, which worked perfect until I got to the resort. Only to find out the resort does not offer this nor was I compensated at all from management. So one of your guest got to sleep on the floor. I don't know about you but the term "resort" isn't an indicator of guests sleeping on the floor. On top of this the toilet broke and spilled water throughout the bathroom adjacent to where your guest was sleeping on the floor. At this point the patience level begins to exceed reasonable. So again we approach management to which we got another room but we asked again to be compensated for the inconvenience. We were told you could not do anything. (coming from management) once again. If I were the managers supervisor this individual would instantly be fired as this is totally unacceptable especially for a resort such as the Tanglewood. This is the third year my family has come back but were looking elsewhere. Thank you

Nice little spot on the Lake Texoma. We arrived on a Friday night and the check in was quick and we got a nice room facing the lake on the top floor. Very quiet rooms, Tv's need upgrading and the tub was VERY slow to drain. The in-door pool was worth a visit, so bring your swimsuit. Wish there was more access to the lake but the property was nice to walk around. Little breakfast options but this is the slow season. Will be back another time of the year. Staff was great and hospitable

I love this resort. The location allows for fantastic views of the lake from the Wiskey Tower. Also the new indoor pools are great to relax, it also to get a work out. I love all the upgrades that have been taking place for the last two years and I heard more exited things are underway. Looking forward to coming back soon.

This was a quiet, beautiful and clean property. Staff was very pleasant. However, the dining options during the week were limited. If you are expecting a restaurant atmosphere, come on the weekend when they are open. Otherwise, the bar and grill are clean, casual and relaxed.

We always have such a great time for our anniversary at the Tangle. It is a quiet and relaxing place to have fun with the family. The restaurant is amazing! I love the robot addition. It gives a futuristic touch. The food is incredible and the service amazing!

I loved this property! The location was great, the pool was beautiful, and the restaurant and bar options were great. My suite in the tower was so cute and I loved the view of the lake. My one complaint was that my room was not clean. The shower had half full bottles of shampoo/conditioner with the caps still off and hair on the walls. There was blood on one of my curtains, on the wall in the bathroom, and obvious spots on the floor. As well as clusters of hair on the floor in the bathroom almost like someone had a haircut in there and it was only partially cleaned up? I don't feel the entire review of the property should be brought down by one cleaning person so my rating reflects that!

The pool area and bar are very nice, has great views, close to the lake that you can walk to, very family oriented, relaxing place to stay, and will stay here again. The rooms are ok but a little outdated and the hours of the restaurant are limited so plan ahead. Overall a nice place to stay

The property was relaxing and we liked the pools. The old window AC units were dated and ours was louder than it should have been under normal running conditions. This did not make “sleeping in “ in the morning possible. The dinner we had Thursday evening was underwhelming. Our server was excellent, but the entrees were not what I would call” resort level” . The shrimp scampi was swimming in butter and I could not taste any garlic. It was also in a small bowl, not a platter size for a dinner entree. You can do better for the prices you are charging. City folks no the difference : )

Free musical entertainment poolside was awesome. Restaurant was overpriced and not very good at dinner but breakfast was better. Room was decent and clean but beds were too firm for everyone in our group and everyone woke up sore.

This is a great resort, The Restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. The Tower is only open Thurs-Sun. The tower rooms are beautiful and well worth the upgrade. Staff was friendly and helpful. The marina is only 1-2 minutes away to launch your boat. Very convenient.
