We really enjoyed our stay. Great indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. Fun, well kept Gorge 9 golf course was a lot of fun! Highly recommend getting a golf cart.

Hot tub hours were massively restrictive. The rooms need to be updated.

Skamania Lodge has a beautiful location in the gorge. The pool, spa, and grounds were so fun for our family. The rooms need some updating/better lighting as they are very dark and dull. No microwave and very small mini fridge. Pet fees are very expensive compared to other resorts and paying for parking was a bit annoying. Staff in the bar area were friendly enough but seemed that nobody had any sense of urgency or a lot of experience. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and do plan to come back.

Beautiful room with extra touches and lovely facilities. Family friendly with lots of activities Great location for river and hiking activities. I was hoping to play 18 holes of golf like last time we stayed there but they only have a 9 hole par 3 course now to make room for other activities like disk golf and more.

Just the most gorgeous lodge nestled in the trees on the border of OR and WA. It was such a cozy place with great service and amenities. Coffee in the lobby each morning enjoying stunning views of the river, sunset in the evening, great indoor and outdoor hot tubs, as well as hot tubs and saunas in the locker rooms of the spa (all available to guests). S’mores by the large firepit, a cute gift shop, board games provided while you hang out in the lobby. Rooms were cozy and had everything we needed. The food at River Rock was great (though a bit pricey). Skamania Lodge is such a delightful place and we will certainly be back! Our only complaint was that the walls were thin between rooms. We could hear neighbors in rooms beside and above us, almost to the point we wanted to make a noise complaint at 11:30pm because our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were moving furniture and stomping one night, LOL. Otherwise, this place is amazing and we will be back!

We usually enjoy staying here, but misinformed about an upcoming pool closure. When we addressed this with the staff, they didn’t seem to show much care. Otherwise the stay was good and the property is beautiful!

The outdoor hot tub was very nice, also private tubs in the spa area.

Pine needles dirt on carpet. Crusted debris on table from someone else’s remnants. Dirty robe in closet and broken door to the fridge.

Our stay was truly exceptional! The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and offered stunning panoramic views of the wilderness. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

We have stayed in many hotels and this is the first time cleanliness has been exceptional. The entire facility looked and smelled clean. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The food was phenomenal! My husband used to be a chef and always complains about food everywhere we go, but he didn’t have a single complaint for any of the food we ate here. Overall, we were very impressed and will definitely be back!

This used to be a lovely higher end place to stay. It’s gone downhill and may not be recoverable. They are understaffed. They’ve added cabins, glamping, and treehouses so those I imagine are in better shape than the lodge, but the lodge is in need of updating. Dirty and worn. Plus adding new accommodations but no new or expanded dining causes delays. We waited for 30 min for our dinner reservation to be ready, then it took 1.5 hours to finish our meal after receiving everything.

This was not my first visit to your facility. I enjoyed my first visit immensely not only because of the scenic beauty of your location but the service rendered by your employees. Although your bellhop service was wonderful, check-in was fast, easy and friendly your housekeeping was a real disappointment. My daughter and I spent two nights at the lodge. Every other establishment I have stayed in, even those who housekeeping services were limited, the beds were ALWAY made up for the next night the guest would be staying over. Not changing the bedding but just the making of the bed and the replacing of soiled towels was always done as a matter of course. I was very disappointed that these matters were not tended to. I am aware of the rising costs of doing business these days but eliminating something as important to your guests as a made-up room when they return from their busy day is unacceptable. The room was spacious, squeaky clean and comfortable.

Wonderful, relaxing spot with spectacular view of Columbia River. Our suite and the whole lodge were exceptionally clean.

So far, they still have me charged twice for this stay telling me the hotels.com booking hasn’t come through despite showing them the email from you. I’m about to go back to the front desk for the 3rd time. They keep telling me to come back. Giant spider in shower, no creamer nothing to stir coffee. Dead bugs under sink.

The tile in our bathroom had mildew and the rug was not properly vacuumed. There was debris on the rug that was apparent when you were barefoot.

The property was extremely beautiful and if you have a family, then they are going to enjoy a lot. It has a lot of activities around the resort. I provided a bad rating for cleanliness is that even though the room was clean when we entered, there wasn’t any housekeeping the next day to clean the room. Something I think the hotels have avoided to do post the pandemic

Large rooms

I didn't like that the windows only were set to open only 5 inches. Hallway and outside noise was an issue. Room and facility were clean and well maintained. Hot tubs and pool were nice. Restaurant was off the charts awesome.

Great, family friendly lodge! We had a great time. It was a holiday weekend, so as expected the wait times / getting ahold of room service was pretty tough, but again - absolutely to be expected. The prices are a little rough for drinks, etc. but honestly the convenience of having everything right there is pretty great. My only true complaint is that our room was super hot and I am sure because they were busy, we couldn’t get ahold of front desk. The bed is also comparable to sleeping on the floor - that said - we WILL go again. The grounds are so wonderful, and so nice to spend time surrounded by the amazing landscape, amenities and all in a very family and pet friendly environment.

There was a dog in a room nearby that barked at night. The in room AC was also very loud.

The room itself was so cozy - nice fireplace and great view! The staff were all super nice. We’re already talking about a return visit.

Great lodge with super friendly staff. We felt right at home.

The property is pretty and amenities are nice, but what made it great was the staff. Every single person we interacted with: the cleaning personnel, the front desk clerk, the wait staff, and the person who delivered our room service were genuinely nice. Not fake, not over the top, just wonderful to deal with. We appreciated it so much.

Loved everyone there. The hotel staff members were great. Very clean loved the atmosphere. But was very disappointed in the greeting staff at the restaurant they were very unfriendly and unorganized. The restaurant was out of a lot of options. The to go menu was a two to three hour delay

We were at Skamania Lodge for a wedding celebration. I had never been to the Pacific Northwest before. The views were spectacular and your staff couldn't be more accommodating. I was curious as to the history and formation of the Columbia Gorge and one of your young men gave me a number of books about the area. Upon arriving your front desk staff changed our room so we would could the beautiful scenery out of our window. The staff was wonderful.

They erroneously gave me two rooms and I said that I had booked only one room - that created a hassle. After I checked into my room I went for a walk and came back to find someone in my room - I called to make sure that staff was authorized to be in my room. The shower did not work. I asked for a delayed check out by an hour and the woman at the front desk was rude

This is an absolutely beautiful property! All of the staff that we came into contact were extremely nice and helpful. We ate at Cascade, and the food was delicious, and service was also wonderful! Our room was extremely quiet! We were concerned at first because our room was right as you came off the elevator. The only complaint we had about our room was the bed. They aren't comfortable and only a double, if you're an adult, you and your partner can't help but disrupt the other if you move. They are also hard, as are the pillows. The beds with the slightest movement, it sounds like plastic being crumbled. Anytime anyone moved during the night, the noise woke us up. The only other complaint was the amount of unsupervised small children 3-10 just running around. A child probably 5, came into the elevator as we entered, no adults in sight. This same child we later saw walking around with their shirt half off at 9:30pm. Around 10, someone reported to the front desk this child was in the parking lot just walking alone. In the common area, there were several children 5-8 playing on and around the fireplace. We couldn't sit down because of them. One of the children kept touching the latern decorations and almost knocked it off the stoop a few times. The parents were there, they just weren't paying attention. Going back up to our room, there was a group of about 8 kids 3-10ish running through the halls. They had been going on the elevator to all levels doing this.

The resort is lovely and the people were kind and helpful. Rooms were clean. But the best part was the surrounding nature. Trails, hikes, water sports, and just breathtaking views every where you look.

Wonderfully relaxing time spent at Skamania Lodge this weekend! The grounds are beautiful, the sunrise can't be beat, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We'll be back soon!

A wonderful family stay at Skamania Lodge. We used it as a jumping off point to see the waterfalls, mountain bike ride, an hike around the area. Extra bonus of not just accepting but appreciating our pup.

Intake and the room were fine but the website is very misleading with regards to food service times. We planned to eat late, around 9, as the restaurant closed at 10 but when we get there they say the kitchen is closed. This leaves my wife and I scrambling to find dinner which is not good for our relaxing day away. Also, it took hours to turn on the firepits and we had no towels when exiting the hot tub in the early evening. None of this is a representation of the staff of the hotel, everyone we interacted with was kind and understanding. The restaurant staff was nice enough to scrape together some chili leftovers so we didn’t have to go to bed with an empty stomach. I hope this is all resolved as I would like to come back later but will certainly hesitant.

Very loud. Noisy all night long. Breakfast buffet was fake eggs. Very expensive for what you got. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Not as expected. Had to make reservations before arrival for everything. Ended up eating off property. Spa was good the minute we registered and not available until we left. All restaurants were booked. Disappointing for the amount we spent to stay there.

Really enjoyed our time at the lodge. Had a beautiful room overlooking the river. Enjoyed morning walks on the lake/ creek trails. Staff was always super friendly, special shoutout to Warren our waiter in the restaurant, super nice guy, really good person and informative with surrounding areas. Only thing that wasn’t exceptional in our 2 day stay was I thought the restaurant had just ok food at best. We ordered the seafood salad and NY Steak. Both dishes lacked in quality for what was charged. But view from table was awesome anyway. But overall loved our stay. Great place.

I come here often to write, have meals, relax, and explore. I’ve been coming here for several years. I chose to do a few days getaway. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the place itself is always lovely. Amazing views There were a couple of hiccups in the room itself, the phone did not work, and two of the side lamps did not work also. Also, on there room service ordering, the number provided was no longer working on the printed materials, but they did give me an updated phone number. Two things about the food: the food is just OK, nothing to write home about. Confused about how they Are in award-winning dining experience. As an example, for breakfast, I ordered my eggs over medium because I do not like soft runny whites, and had to send back twice, as they still did not get it right. For one of my dinners I ordered a Caesar salad, and basically was given a whole head of lettuce Sprinkled with some Parmesan cheese, not torn up or even halved like a wedge salad. Very lackluster. Looks like some thing I get from Trader Joe’s to take home. I had to run downstairs to the convenience store for a couple things, and was kicked out because I was barefoot. This is strange because shoes track in more junk than bare feet that have just come off of a carpet, and… They let pets in there with no problem, some of who have just peed or gone to the bathroom outside, wipe their feet and then track all of that inside. So I wasn’t able to purchase anything.

I paid for an upgraded room with a larger view of the river and a fireplace, the room was clean and had a very comfortable bed. I do think it was overpriced for the room, but the grounds were very nice and I loved the trails around the golf course. Food was just ok at their restaurant (and sampled quite a bit). I expected better for spending over $200 for dinner for two people. Spa needs a revamp as well but overall a nice weekend and the people that work there are very kind and helpful.

Our stay was wonderful, would not recommend the restaurant, wait staff was friendly. Our food seemed to take a long time as others seated after us received their food before us (and yes I’m considering what they ordered) we had room temp garlic fries and a burger was nothing special. Over priced for what you received

Property is great, but the only 2 places to eat at the lodge close at 8:30pm.
