First the pool closed...then the desk people were not pleasant. The hotel is not for disabled people. Parking is down hill of the front desk. Walking up the hill is extremely difficult. A wheelchair would not be possible. Breakfast was just waffles or hard boiled cold eggs. Very unpleasant stay. Will not stay again.

Pool and gym unusable do to remodel. Both still listed on Expedia as amenities. Lady at desk told me to "read the small print." Peeling paint due to water damage in room. Big remodel underway will hopefully fixed these problems someday. Large parking lot makes parking super simple. Area was quiet and bed plus pillows were comfortable.

Inconvenience pool & workout room both closed for maintenance for the entire stay. But my Expedia search included these amenities. Continental breakfast not very healthy. 1 hard boiled egg available at 7am. Hotel has a weird odor and no insulation in the walls can hear everything above below and beside your rooms.

Let me start by saying our room was mostly clean. I have no qualms about the room. The property itself was dated and not so clean looking. When we first checked in I needed to use the bathroom and I was told to go down to the basement to use that bathroom. It was scary and dirty down there. The door to the stairs was locked so I had to use the elevator to go back up. Had there been a problem I would have been stuck down there. The free breakfast was meh… nothing to write home about. All amenities were closed for maintenance - pool, exercise room, pool table and restaurant. I could understand one being closed but all? It worked ok for the two nights we were there but I would not recommend or return.

When booking the site did say pool would be closed to renovations but everything was closed. Hot tub, pool room, game room for kids. They also had put me and my 10 year old on the second floor when renovations to other rooms were being done, made it noisy and dusty. Ice machine on floor 2 not working and vending machines were vertually empty. Would not recommend staying here if for more than a night. Extended stay and put in the worst area.

Pool, workout room and pool table are not in service as advertised. Rooms were clean but the rest of the hotel was ruff. Multi colored paint patched hallway. Elevator dirty. Breakfast was a waffle maker… a dry cereal.. and white bread wrapped in plastic wrap. If you just need a place to sleep it is fine… not a family getaway type place… i have paid less for more.

This building is old and unkempt. Swimming pool closed “for maintenance,” fitness facility closed and lobby rest rooms closed. Breakfast was very limited. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the a/c worked well. We would not stay there again.

AWFUL!! ROOMS FULL OF MOLD AND LAMP HAD POOP, YES POOP ON IT!! 8 DIFFERENT ROOMS ALL WITH MOLD AND CARPET COMING UP, OUTLETS BUSTED, WINDOW SEALS BUSTED, WATER SIPPING IN. We entered our room to find a dirty pillow (ok, there were 3 more) then we pull the covers back and the sheets were covered in stains! Called the front desk and was told there was nobody from housekeeping on staff but we could move rooms. Ended up moving rooms at 11:00 at night, with no apology.

The hallways and rooms have visible and plenty mold and dust. The furnishings were worn in my room. The shower curtain had would appear to be dry blood on them. One of the lamps by the bedside had dead bug remnants. There were large cracks in the wall and you could hear too clearly sounds from the next-door room.

Where should I start, a cockroach in the bathroom, the air conditioning unit pumped out air that smelled like old used socks, the shower curtain smelled horrible, the pool had dead bugs in it and was never cleaned, and the wi-fi was almost non existent and I had to keep logging in every time my phone or laptop went to sleep. This hotel was cheap to stay at for a reason.

Night clerk was nice and helpful. First room had a hole in the wall and fridge did not work. Second room had no tv remote. Smelled smoky in a non-smoking room. Dirty halls, broken/empty vending machines. Shower curtain was too short and got water on the floor. Breakfast was pitiful and no coffee available. I wish I spent an extra $20 to stay at a different hotel.

Walked into lobby that smelled of strong cigarettes smoke along with a dirty smell. Keep in mind there is smoke free sign hanging in the lobby. The staff member told me it was on the clothes of someone else who had walked through. It was clearly not that individual. The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room was so filthy I had to go ask for a new room. At this point I should have left but we were tired from traveling all day. The bathroom wasn’t clean, towels were yellow looking, thin and had holes. Pillow cases looked like they hadn’t been washed in months. Yellow stained and disgusting looking. The last straw for us was finding a bed bug. We packed up and left. I’m unsure how this hotel hasn’t been shut down by the health department.

Our room originally was on the first floor. When we got ready to go to bed, we found multiple bugs/ants many area in our bed, and lamp next to the bed. My husband requested to change the room. The front lady immediately responded to the request, changing us to the third floor. She was aware of the issue and said the pest control had been out - apparently the problem was not resolved. The breakfast serves in the morning is okay ~ waffle, muffins, bagels apples, OJ, apple juice, coffee, yogurts. The hotel seems not yet completely redone. The ceiling looks new but A/C are very old, etc. Pillows are not comfortable. Room has smell when first opening the door. curtains decor very outdated. A/C is making a loud noise. Overall it is just a night to crash before continue driving in the follow day.

Had to change rooms twice. First room had water sepping throught the wall and mold on the wall behind the toilet. 2nd room tv didnt work and had a horrible musty smell. I will never stay here again.

The property and staff were clean and well kept but he walls are paper thin I could hear every conversation and every tv show the people next to me were having. They were not overly loud just the walls were thin. Then my shower did not work but they gave me a room key to take a shower 8n another room over all it was an ok experience just could not relax because of the noise in the other room

I heard my neighbors on both walls and could easily listen to their conversation. The room was clean and the beds made very nicely. The internet was hit or miss. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. Breakfast was a big disappointment. Selection was very limited and the orange juice was the worst I have ever had. The staff was friendly to me, but a bit condescending to each other. There is a lot here that could be improved by the owner.

After reading some of these petty reviews it proves to me that people will complain about anything. If you believe you should be treated like royalty then spend your money like royalty and stay at a Hilton for $200.00 a night. I travel all over the country and stayed at this motel for several weeks on two different occasions, had zero issues, and would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Richmond. I stayed at two other motels close to the same rate before finding this one and it was by FAR the best. If you’re on a budget and looking for a place to stay in Richmond, don’t waste your time with the other motels with the similar rates.

The employee on check-in had zero personality. That started the whole experience. Bottle waters a dollar you don't get a complementary one with your room. That's OK. It was cheap. I get it. I would certainly not recommend Coffee or breakfast buffet if you call it that

Absolutely awful. Felt so unsafe. Arrived and could not find anyone to check me in, waited in the lobby alone with luggage for over 30 minutes until someone arrived. Then waited another 20 minutes while they checked me in even though I had a reservation. Building was incredibly dirty and damaged, smelled of cigarettes despite being non smoking. My room had wholes in the walls, stains on the comforters and im concerned if the bedding was even changed. The toilet was dirty and I felt incredibly unsafe. The next morning I went to get the free breakfast advertised and it was sparse. The coffee machine was broken and tasted extremely off, and the juice tasted even worse, like it was spoiled. Don't go to this hotel. Choose another one. The parking lot and entrance was difficult to navigate, unlit, and felt unsafe. It shared a parking lot with a car dealership….very odd.

I booked here a few weeks prior, when I arrived I asked about the pool as it was the main reason I booked this hotel. They said it was closed and wouldn’t be running until the next week, they also charged a $150 deposit for any damages such as linens, walls, etc. when I got to my room, there was some black marks on the top “decor sheet as the receptionist claimed” and when I asked for a new one she proceeded to say she didn’t have any. I wanted them aware as I will refuse to pay the $150 for damages that weren’t even done by me. Day time and night time receptionist weren’t pleasant to deal with. Then I was looking at the side of the one bed and it had brown marks on it. It isn’t a clean hotel and not very nice staff. Won’t be booking agai!

A surprise room deposit of 125.was demanded upon arrival, house keeping is optional for a fee, hallways are dirty, room heater made a loud noise while running, room coffee was horrible,mini fridge was coated in ice, building is older and in need of repair.we expected more from the quality inn name.

Outside of property is messy, hallways had an odor about them. Checked around 4pm and staff was friendly but got to room door was open and there were no linens. Door latch was missing so there was only the door lock. Staff corrected the issue while I left for a few hours. Around 2am the room next to me started blasting their TV. After asking 2 the subject wouldnt turn it down. I attempted to call the front desk on the room phone. It didnt work. Tired to call on my personal phone and the front desk wouldnt answer so had to go down from the 4th floor and find the employee. Eventually the issue was corrected. If you're like me and need a stop halfway between two places to lay your head its adequate. Would I stay there if I had other options. NO.

The maid service was knocking on our door at 8:00AM and playing loud music while we were trying to sleep. When we asked them to lower their volume on the music, they turned it up louder. I will never stay at this place again.

Average countryside hotel. Rooms clean and in good condition . Free breakfast is always welcome, not too much to choose but basic continental breakfast, clean and fresh. Overall good hotel, convenient location close to highway 70. Smooth and professional check in and out. Only downside is that the hotel was under partial improvement process as well as was occupied by construction workers so the hallways and elevators cleanest wasn’t the best. Other that A- .

The meh: This hotel is right by train tracks. If you love listening to trains run day and night, this hotel is for you! The free “breakfast” was limited to waffles, 3 types of cereal, 2 types of yogurts, one type of muffin, and two kinds of bagels. No proteins were offered. The coffee and OJ were thick and palatable only when mixed with water - about a 1:1 ratio. The lobby doors are up a “hill” from the parking lot, so if you have mobility issues, keep that in mind. Also, the first floor rooms are up 9-10 stairs, so anyone unable to climb stairs should ask for rooms above the first floor. The good: super fast check-in. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

Property is under renovation, so much of it was in disarray. It is in dire need of renovation. Breakfast was extremely limited; waffles was the only hot food, no napkins, and juice machine dispensed water only. On site restaurant was no longer operating. Very sub-par for a Quality Inn.

The hotel was what we expected for the 1 night we were there. Had we needed an extended stay would not have stayed. The hotel needs updated, and there is an awful smell. The free breakfast was minimal and anything not in a prepackaged container did not look edible.
