It was great until morning came and at 6am the maids were pushing their maid cart and trash cans past our front of room constantly until until late morning, i had maids oddly sitting in front of our room for some time whilst having a do not disturb sign on our door. Property was nice though, pool closed.

I picked this hotel because it was one of the ones on Expedia that had a pool when I checked in I asked if the pool was open and they said it was closed. There is a pool however full of water but they say it is closed for maintenance however it appears that the rooms around the pool have been turned into somebody's private residence and that possibly the pool is only for their use. The continental breakfast which starts at 8:00 was unstocked and out of everything by 8:20

Music was ear piercingly loud at the front office & stuff wasn't very friendly. The parking & layout was nice however. If you happen to snag a room in the back row then you get a second story room with some privacy & a assigned covered car port right next to the stairs to your room.

I liked that,fpr my needs, this was a great location. I liked easy acess to the freeway going both north and south. I liked the Peets coffee machine with the breakfast, offering such delicious choices. Liked having the parking so close to my room. I didn't like hearing the freeway noises all through the night.

The parking aspect was great! I appreciate the condo like setup. All the amenities were there. Didn’t need for anything. Bottles of water in the room would have been a great touch but just my preference. Would definitely stay again

I was greeted by a friendly gentleman and really liked that my room included a garage to park in. The room was very clean except for the very worn and stained carpet. The bed was okay although the pillows were very lumpy. I do give Housekeeping 5-Stars.

Basic, but did the job. If you’re looking for a bargain, this could be it. If you want something more refined, look elsewhere. The free breakfast is cereal, toast, or muffins in a tiny room and mostly depleted. And while some rooms have nice courtyard views, I wasn’t offered one. Carpet in room was filthy, but otherwise all was very clean. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay here.

Upon arrival to the Marinwood inn & suite, it was very noticeable that the property was very unclean and unmaintained. A section of the Inn had trash pilled high and very noticeable the pool was extremely dirty. Once I parked and walked in I noticed that the front desk clerk was very rude and short with the guest checking in. Once I received my key after I checked in my wife and I went to our room. Once we entered our room we noticed that the room had an un clean smell. The furniture and chairs was peeling and tearing. The floor was dirty, which prompted my wife to go to the store and buy cleaning products to clean the floor and tub just so we can feel comfortable enough to stay there. There breakfast was only milk and cereal and old bread slices. Expedia should not be offering these types of hotels, suites, inns, etc. The rating on this place is deceitful. On Expedia this is a 7.0 but should be rated as a 2.0. I will never returning to this Inn and I will think twice before using Expedia again.

Nice area and what used to be a good motel. The floor was worn and looked dirty. The toilet seat was old, broken, and not even suitable for an outhouse. However, the bed was comfortable and they have satellite TV.

My suite was very nice, spacious, clean and very bright with a huge TV and lovely plantation shutters. This property looks like a commercial building from the outside but the interior courtyard is very nicely laid out. So, my only real complaint is the freeway noise. Enjoy your stay.

The place is conveniently located to the venue we were attending. It was quiet and very little outside noise was heard from the room which was nice. The bathroom looked updated and the hot water came very fast (no waiting around for it to warm up). The room could have used a little upgrade. The rug definitely needed to be replaced and a paint job. The bed was comfortable except for the lumpy pillows. Otherwise, it was a decent place for the night. No frills.

The room was clean and OK with amenities if a bit worn out furniture. Main problem was lack of welcome by front desk, no explanation of wifi code or where the breakfast was - I guessed it was code on key envelope, but couldn't get it to work in the room. Returned to front desk, got it to work there. Was told the breakfast was in the office area - found it in an adjacent room. Syrup was so crystalized, it was crunchy and so waffles were ruined. I didn't expect stairs as I am partially disabled and had to make 2 difficult trips with luggage on top of walking back to the office after a call there about the wifi where I was told it was my room number. Frankly, the man clearly didn't care about customer service at all. My review would have been much better if he had bothered to explain things in full sentences at the time I checked in. Location was convenient for my travels, price was fair and reflected the value of the accomodation. No body wash in the room either, just one bar of hand soap.

The property was ok. When I got to the front desk the man said he had no record of my hotels.com reservation. I agreed to pay for the stay at the hotel. Was a two night stay. The next day I had a funeral to attend. Got an email asking how my check in was from hotels.com. I was more concerned with my family and loved ones on the day. After the funeral I checked my phone and the hotel had called a couple time wondering why my bags were still in the room and that needdd to pay again at the office snd get new keys. It had been a long day so I went to my room snd got the needed rest I packed my bags and left the next morning. I got this email from hotels .com asking me to rate my stay. Curious I checked my bank statement and found I was charged by holes.com as well as the hotel itself. Mistakes happen but the man at the hotel desk did absolutely nothing to even look into the issue was rude and made me feel like I had done something wrong. I paid for the stay but wasn\'t able to stay here. I scheduled from an area with spotty cell service. I was billed, but no confirmation from Expedia. I drove an hour to the town and when I had cell reception I called the motel to find out if I actually had reservations and it went like this. "Hi, I\'m calling to confirm my reserva..." "We\'re Closed.!" (This at 11 PM). "But I\'ve... "Do you not understand We\'re Closed?!" End of conversation. Five minutes later, I got a text from Expedia confirming I was charged for the stay. Three weeks later, back from my trip, Expedia has not credited me for the charge for my non-stay. Either this operation is soon to be under different management or may have just fired the employee, but I would not take a room here unless you are standing in the lobby and have a chance to check the room before paying.

The frontdesk was uncourteous and rude. Room carpet was disgustingly dirty and smelly. Their safedeposit box is not functioning while when we ask the frintdesk says “put your money in the bank and bring your jewelries with you” How rude and impolite….never coming back to this place nor will we never ever recommend anyone in staying here.

Website lies and says the front desk is 24 hour. It is not. I arrived at 1am and the front desk was dark and locked. I knocked and rang the bell and someone came. They were rude and tried to get me to go away but I insisted, as I had a reservation I had already paid for. Then they tried to charge me again until I showed my credit card receipt. Dingy, old room. But really it's the terrible service and outright lie about 24 hour front desk that got me.

The staff person at the front desk is very rude and extremely unprofessional. I called him to let him know that I reserved an extra day, he answered come tomorrow and hanged up on me. It's hard to believe that this type of customer service still exists. I was staying at this place and trying not to have any interaction with the front desk person because the rooms are not bad but I don't have to deal with this type of people and I will no longer be staying here. I'll take my business somewhere else.

I booked this room on. Expedia and showed up around midnight to check in after driving all day. The front office was closed with no one to check us in. I called the hotels number and heard it ring in the office not redirected to someone who could help us after hours. I had to get a different hotel across town. When I called for a refund the person who answered rudely said I need to take it up with Expedia and hung up on me. I would suggest no one stay here with the rude staff that doesn’t even stay open late enough to check people in at night despite processing payment for rooms they don’t rent.

Great stay! Was concerned that proximity to 101 would be loud, but my room was well off the frontage, quite quiet and very well appointed. The shower was particularly nice. The free breakfast was better than most, and overall, if I needed to stay in North Marin ever again, I'd come back to Marinwood Suites.

I liked that,fpr my needs, this was a great location. I liked easy acess to the freeway going both north and south. I liked the Peets coffee machine with the breakfast, offering such delicious choices. Liked having the parking so close to my room. I didn't like hearing the freeway noises all through the night.

Housekeeping staff were great and everyone was friendly. Place could use updating. My only real complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were awful. The breakfast was okay but the coffee was great! Very reasonably priced. All things considered, I was happy with my stay.

I picked this hotel because it was one of the ones on Expedia that had a pool when I checked in I asked if the pool was open and they said it was closed. There is a pool however full of water but they say it is closed for maintenance however it appears that the rooms around the pool have been turned into somebody's private residence and that possibly the pool is only for their use. The continental breakfast which starts at 8:00 was unstocked and out of everything by 8:20

The room was clean and OK with amenities if a bit worn out furniture. Main problem was lack of welcome by front desk, no explanation of wifi code or where the breakfast was - I guessed it was code on key envelope, but couldn't get it to work in the room. Returned to front desk, got it to work there. Was told the breakfast was in the office area - found it in an adjacent room. Syrup was so crystalized, it was crunchy and so waffles were ruined. I didn't expect stairs as I am partially disabled and had to make 2 difficult trips with luggage on top of walking back to the office after a call there about the wifi where I was told it was my room number. Frankly, the man clearly didn't care about customer service at all. My review would have been much better if he had bothered to explain things in full sentences at the time I checked in. Location was convenient for my travels, price was fair and reflected the value of the accomodation. No body wash in the room either, just one bar of hand soap.

The bed was hard as rock. We asked for wxtra pillow to put under disabled wifes legs and we were told we dont have extra to give out. The breakfast was a small amount of packaged danish, no muffins and a broken coffee machine. First and l ast stay here.

This is a convenient, inexpensive hotel we chose to stay at on our way to Point Reyes. The place is obviously pretty old, so nothing is new and shiny, but it does the job. Bed was pretty comfy, pillows were very lumpy, there are some stains on things just due to wear and use but they had been cleaned. Breakfast was complimentary but a little subpar, no tea bags although there was hot water, and the milk was spoiled. Staff and service was friendly and quick. Personally I would come back if I were in the area since the price is right, but if you're looking for a more luxurious stay with all the bells and whistles then this isn't the place for you.

Breakfast is very disappointing. No coffee as the machine was broken but the print asks you to use your Coffee maker in your room to make your own coffee. No drinking water at breakfast nor anywhere in the property. The owner says you can buy water from the grocery store. Missing some basic staff that needs not much attention to fix but the mentality of serving customer didn’t exist at all for this property.

The man at the front desk said "we don\'t provide that," gesturing with a dismissive wave.
