Comfort Inn & Suites York North

Went there bc of cheer competition. We got there checked in was disappointed bc hotel.com supp to be competitive and provide cheapest rate but the rooms were over $100 cheaper and hotel couldn’t switch price and hotel.com said they couldn’t honor it! This was very aggravating esp in today ls economy! My room was supp to be non smoking bc I have asthma and opened door reeked of cigarettes and weed. Front desk said they were booked and I had to wait till later to see if they had different room available which they didn’t. Had to buy air freshener to try n cover up the smell since I had my 6yr old w me as well! Was not happy! Then at 4am fire alarms went off! I jumped up went in hallway and front desk kept saying they didn’t know if it was a false alarm or not. So everyone didn’t know what to do. Went to lobby sat n waited fire trucks came nobody communicated as to what was going on. Firemen said it was probably steam from a bathroom which wasn’t too reassuring. Went back to room hour later. Out of 4 ice machines only one worked on the 4th floor! I’m am 9 I called to see how late bfast was till and FD said they just closed it down so I thought it was really early to close down breakfast so we had to go out and get something when it should’ve been free! Was not a good experience at all for me and my daughter and we were tired and she had her competition the next day!
