Inn at York

They never gave cleaning services, at the reception the only thing they informed me was where the room was, the sheets had cigarette burns just like the bathroom. We never saw the children's play area, all there was was was adult machines, the laundry much less. At the entrance and exit there were always people. My reservation was for him a non-smoking area and all the time there were people smoking at the entrance obstructing it and without the intention of giving way to us who entered with children, there were children smoking what madness!. in the pool they smoked, and it was dirty. There were never pool towels where it was supposed to be, so we had to go back to the reception to ask about them. the place has a good location. but they must have more Control of their guests or residents because I find it a total lack of respect that there are people smoking where they should not and most importantly obstructing the exits. They have to improve a lot and if that happens they would be excellent.

We stayed in a clean and somewhat recently updated room with a good tv and comfy beds. Our room was clean and the fridge worked well. Lots of towels. The pool was very clean and the pool area was nice to sit at with a nice set of table/chairs. The hallways were smelly and dirty. The hallway carpets were disgusting. The room had no carpet which was great. The room smelled somewhat smoky, so we got lucky, really because once you left the room the place was smokey and stinky. Door to access the hotel didn't/couldn't lock, so anyone could have came in. We stayed for 1 night (concert at The Exposition Centre) so we only spent about 6 hours total in the hotel. Basically just slept there. Would I stay again is the question: yes with a bunch of guys on a bike trip or going to a concert. It's cheap but dirty, and I would feel unsafe if I was a female or if I wasn't 6'5 and 225 pounds

This place is such deplorable conditions that we didn’t even stayed for the night. Desk clerk said it was non-refundable and we still walked out. No access to an elevator, its stench starts from the moment you walk into the office. Windows are blocked by doors halfway the size. Just horrible. What kind of business (YOU) recommends this kind of places??!! 😖

Weed smell everywhere even non smoking wing. Jacuzzi tub in room in poor condition and doesn’t work. Foul music and smoking in pool area. Noise late into the night, too much to sleep. Apparently no security officers employed.

The property is undergoing some updates and repairs. The room we stayed in was clean, but the bathroom counter was stained and had no ventilation. Pool looked nice, but overlooks the highway. Great for an affordable place to spend the night if you're not too picky.

The room NEEDS a lot more LIGHTS. NEEDS MORE electric outlets. Why only one outlet with only 2 spots to plug in 3 items. Refrigerator, TV and microwave. Outside the building was dirty and not maintained. Hand railing on the stairs was loose. Told there be fruit in the morning. Of course no fruit.

When you call they say pool opens at 9 but when got there they said 11 which is check out

Let me start by saying DONT STAY AND STAY AWAY….you have been warned.. arriving at the property it oh ok we can work with this, when entering the building everything way clear that this is going to be a ride…after getting our keys and heading to our room in which we has 3 the smell of cat and dog urine scented the hallways like it was the smell they were going for.. crazy I know.. we had one smoking room and 2 non smoking.. rooms were somewhat clean and again the wrong smell was everywhere… we only have the rooms for 2 day so we make the best out of the situation we found ourselves in…first morning in the room use the toilet went to flush and to my surprise it didn’t.. as I opened the back of the toilet no water and bone dry.. after bringing this to the front desk attendant so did sent maintenance to fix the problem took him roughly 15min..and again the smell being that we were going to be out our room most of the day we just stayed at the hotel… at night the noise that came from the hallway and the front of the building was loud and the use a profanity in every other word was just disgusting,And again the smell.. they do have a adult game room one of the reasons I pick this property. About 7 or 8 games but don’t quote me on that but what I could say is half of them wasn’t working The inhabitant in an-around the hotel were how can I put this without sounding like a horrible person well let just say if you are looking for a safe, clean place it’s not here and I promise you

It was very dirty. Bugs. Smelly like pee n vomit! The refrigerator smelled like poop I mean literal poop. We couldn’t even stay the last night bc it was so disgusting.

The cleanliness left a lot to be desired

1st time I saw blood, feces, and nose goblins all gathered together in one place. That was a unique experience I won't ever forget.

Horrible. Checked into hotel, went up to the room and it was completely dirty and smelt. Went back to the front desk and checked out. I would like to request a refund.

The amount of noise all night long was a lot. Falling asleep was hard. The room and the bathroom were dirty. The towels were dirty. The tv didn’t work. The smell of the room was gross. Not a pleasant experience. Work on this area often and was hoping this could be the place I use to stay. No way.

I wish I could share pictures to show how much mold I had to clean off the walls. I got charged $20 to check in 2 hours early. There were also roaches. And the they refused to switch me to a different room.

The staff was very nice, the towels in my room has someone’s hair on them, the sheets on the bed smelled funny, there was a roach crawling on the wall

My stay was not pleasant, do to roaches found in one room and ants found in another. I will never stay there again!

Seemed my first room was slated for the next renovation. Horrible! No opening window, had a sliding glass door that wouldn't open. TV didn't work at all. The smell of carpet cleaner was so bad that I started sneezing immediately and got a headache. The next room was at least a bit cleaner. Looked like it was had a quick renovation. Paint peeling in the tub, again. Window did open this time. A/C sounded like it had a marbles in it! Very noisy! Had the same odor, a bit less powerful but had to open the window to vent the smell. Overall, I wish I didn't make the reservation there.

Dated door lock didn’t work properly

The room itself was very nice. Upon further use in bathroom etc very obvious dirt all over. As if not cleaned up from the construction/ remodeling. Also, we had no way of watching any TV as no cable box was connected was in the room. Sticky all over bathroom door.

This is barely a hotel, I'd definitely say it's closer to a motel. Thank god we got a discount here because the prices on their website are ridiculous for what you get. Half of it is redone and while it looks nice you can tell its cheap. The other half looks dated, smells awful, and has stains all over the walls and carpet. The check in area was particularly disgusting. We stayed in renovated area but had water problems the whole time and the free wifi that they advertise did not reach our room. I will say the staff was very nice and accommodating when we lost water in our first room. But at one point we asked for an extra blanket, because the comforter they provide was very thin and there were no extra blankets or pillows in the room, and they said that's not soemthing they do and couldn't give us an extra. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to someone else.

Love this place when we visit the grandparents in the area. The staff is always super friendly, the rooms look like they've been remodeled recently, and the beds are so comfy!

Noisy, long hallways

Check in was fast and easy and attendant was very friendly and paid attention to my special requests for mobility needs. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, and noise levels were very low. Bathroom hot water was almost completely cold, no plug in tub(rolled up hand towel to plug tub), tv channels were all badly out of focus, and WiFi was almost non existent. Room phone had to dial tone and didn't work. Minor inconveniences in a fully booked hotel. I'll stay again. Staff was very helpful and friendly when I needed an hour past checkout to reach my ride.

Unfortunately, I experienced a problem with my reservation. Although Expedia sent a reservation confirmation to both me and the hotel, a glitch in the hotel's computer system caused my reservation to not get processed properly. As a result, there was NO ROOM available for me to check into upon my arrival. I was forced to find alternative accommodations at the last minute and I was not happy about this!

came to York to visit my sister. I don't have the biggest budget, so I chose this place and severely severely regret it. Granted, my sister suggested it as well. First, the rate they charged me for DID NOT match ANY online listings. I was charged double. Second, we walk to the rooms and there's earwigs everywhere in our room. At least 20 within vision. So gross. Especially if I'm bugging charged double what I thought I was going to be. The room also smelled absolutely horrendous. I'm not sure of what, but it wasn't pleasant. Third, we decide to go swimming. There's three of us, and we forgot towels. There were two towels in the bathroom so we were like "okay, sure." We needed an extra one, so one of us goes down to ask for one. They said, in these exact words, "we don't do that here." What do you mean you don't do that here? You don't provide extra towels to your customers? I thought this was ridiculous. Just an overall bad experience for a trip I was very excited for.

From the response of the people that run the property about others blocking tge walkway I decided to try another stay here. Seems like they just responded for the sake of responding. Here it is again, I cone out the door to the walkway of tge parking lot and 2 people sitting in the walkway smoking don’t even turn around to look or even move to show courtesy to who’s comingbouf the door and just sit there blocking the walkway lke it’s sone project apartments where no one has manners or common courtesy.

Absolutely awful experience. Didn't stay for ten minutes before we left. Felt totally unsafe. The staff was rude. Never stay here!!!!!

The first room that I got the TV didn't work. But she put me in another room that was cleaning and better. I didn't like the dog smell. The animal smells in the hallways but overall it was a good stay.

The area was a bit sketchy but of course we didn’t know that when we booked it. The room itself was fine for a one night stay. If we were going to be in the area longer, we would have found a different hotel.

Condition of the room was okay, except for the room door balcony door. Neither would completely shut so we did not stay. I can’t say the area was unsafe, but we did not feel safe. We booked another hotel for our stay.

Smoking rooms did not provide ashtrays, no coffee maker. Understandable is currently under renovations with a new owner, although the smoking rooms are unacceptable. The hallways and room were terrible

The best part of the hotel was the restaurant Round the Clock. The hotel itself smelled musty at the entrance, the vending machine was out of order and parking was a problem.The toilet slid sideways, there was no tissue or coffee in the room and not enough towels. I was very disappointed. Also the fridge had no freezer, the phone didn't work and there were not enough outlets! There were flies in the room and the carpet outside our door had a dirty Q-tip and other debris.

Room was clean when we checked in. No maid service for the 3 days we stayed. Breakfast was advertised. It consisted of tepid coffee and packaged rolls. Nothing else. The dining room that had formerly been a nice feature of this hotel is closed and locked. Room heater worked only if plugged half-way into wall outlet. It threw the breaker if plugged in all the way. Much deteriorated from the last several times we stayed here. Outside steps to door no. 2 to enter the building have settled and cracked and are uneven, attempted patch failed. Bathtub drain appears rusty!!?? Shelf above toilet was hacked away when taller toilet was installed and the cut-up shelf was not properly removed. Room door had been replaced and does not fit properly, requires a hard push to get it past the striker plate (Rm. 316). This results in a loud sound when the door finally closes that must be annoying to other guests. The refrigerator was unplugged and we had to move a piece of furniture to plug it in. The room sleeps four people but there is only one desk chair for seating. The room itself was o.k. to sleep in, but the overall effect is of a formerly decent hotel rapidly descending toward becoming a flophouse.
